>> I'm with Kat.
>> I'm in all of them.
>> Yeah. Team of today's vlog is being
created. So, we did a lot of creative
things. Just finished pottery class.
Um that'll probably be the first
scene I show. I hope this is a sign to
be creative.
>> It's so embarrassing.
>> Never mind.
>> This is so s-
>> That's That's the difference.
>> This the
the difference?
>> Do you want to eat something?
>> We're binding books right now. I'm doing
mine with fully translucent paper, but
it's a bit more like vellum. So, it's
not as
transparent as like normal tracing
paper. And she's doing hers with a mix
of regular paper and the translucent
paper. And she's using
these like leftover pages from her work,
and she's just folding them.
And then like folding it again.
I was trying not to do as many
voiceovers for this vlog cuz I like the
ASMR of the clips, but I was playing
music in the background, and it's a
little hard to extract the audio, so I'm
just going to talk over the clips. This
was my first time binding a book, but
did anyone else go on a field trip to
like a farm in elementary school and
like make your own paper? I always
wonder if kids who are in elementary
school now are going on these fun
whimsical trips that we used to go on
when we were kids. Let me know if you
know. This is Kat's
>> I did
>> and I did it wrong.
So, my s- like first line is kind of in
the middle, but still a book.
I did mine in mostly tracing paper as I
said.
>> Mine is 50/50.
>> I decided not to have a cover for my
journal cuz I like the sides.
>> And I also put this photo in between the
pages.
>> It's so bright.
>> Um the real goat has has arrived.
>> That one?
>> Me.
Yes, the rumors are true.
I moved and this is my house.
Hand binded books.
So real.
So local.
So resourceful.
After visiting Kat at the flea market, I
went to this cafe to do some journaling
and drawing. And of course, I got a chai
latte. Did you guys guess? The reason I
made my journal with translucent paper
is so I could use it for drawing my
fashion designs. If you know, it's
easier to draw thumbnails when you have
a croquis underneath. So I spent about
10 minutes drawing my figures and this
is me showing how I will utilize these
drawings. The croquis themselves are
looking a bit rough, but if you know,
they're just used for quick thumbnail
sketching. And just to show you guys an
example, this isn't a design, but this
is an outfit I'm going to wear next
week. So I just drew it for you guys. I
also drew a head template so I can use
it for drawing hats and stuff. Again,
this is just a quick sketch.
I am about to go to this craft supply
store because I'm hosting a small dinner
party with some of my friends and I
wanted to do a little craft activity.
And I thought it would be fun to make
those rosettes. So I'm going to go to
the craft store to see if they have any
cute like patterned paper or any like
stickers or anything I can put in and
I'm going to
come back home and make a little
work station.
I arrived to the craft store.
Okay, I'm back home now. Going to do a
complete haul. So first, I got this
washi tape. but like how striped it is.
And I'm thinking maybe people can cover
some paper in this, so this can be a
like one of the
strips. Also, I found this lace ribbon.
I thought it would be cute to add some
texture. My paper haul, this one's a
yellow and pink one. The pink is like a
print on top of the yellow. It's
textured. I think they make the paper.
I'm not sure. And another paper I got is
this beautiful
plum pink. And then I just got this
regular
dusty blue one. I thought it would be a
nice contrast to the pattern ones. But
yeah, I'm going to do a test one. My
main problem is that I don't have super
glue or anything. I only have glue
stick, but I also have needle and
thread.
And one
two I think almost everybody that's
coming knows how to use
knows how to hand sew. I'm going to
start by cutting all these strips. Like
I'm going to cut all of them, so it's
ready for my friends as well. I think
this is
a good thickness for the thin strips,
but we need to like
need to determine the length, the size.
I think this is good. So, I'm going to
tie this.
Going to set this as my
Okay, I have determined that this is my
thickness and length for the big strips,
and then
this is the one for the smaller strips.
I'm excited. Okay, I haven't glued it
together yet.
But look, I made these little
pieces, and then I'm going to glue
everything, and then I covered this one
in the washi tape.
Yeah. Going to glue it together, and
then I'll be back. We need to bring back
crafting as a society, but do you know
what we really need to come back? Y'all
remember the freaking wreck my journal
or like wreck this journal? Like
I had one of those, and what happened to
that? When I cut out a bunch of circles
in this size this free little zine
pamphlet thing from a movie theater.
And maybe I can like
cut out some faces with this The colors
are just so nice.
My only thing is I don't know what these
movies are. So, how do I know it's not
some crazy movie that I don't want to be
promoting?
So, these are all of the options I have.
I might just leave them as these
rectangles and then let people choose
which ones they want to use. And then
anything left over, I will just
keep for journaling. And I'm sure some
people will
not even want to use this. Maybe some
people just want to use the um plain
circles.
I'm having so much trouble
What did I say like that?
I'm having so much trouble. I don't know
if I should use this girl or this cat.
I feel like this is more whimsical.
But the colors of this one match.
Okay, I've decided. I'm going to use
this girl for this one. And then I'm
going to use this for when I make it
again with the pink lace and everything.
This is so cute. Oh my god.
And then I used some of the
extras from the zine for this part.
Guys,
oh my god.
So cute. I've also continued cutting out
strips. Um that's what I'm going to do
for the next however long. I'm going to
get everything set up and then set a
little station.
Okay, here is the final work station. So
excited.
>> [laughter]
>> That was my talking in the vlog. Yeah,
that was my talking.
>> And more.
>> Wow, yours is so like big and grand.
[laughter]
>> This is mine.
>> Yeah, yours is cute.
>> Don't let the paper put it
>> In any combination you want.
>> Cuz you could you could do four of the
same ones or like two different ones or
anything.
>> Also, it seems like we only have four
options anyway.
>> What do I say right now?
>> Why are they still talking about it.
>> Seven months, eight months from now.
>> And you were like
>> [laughter]
>> How's it going, Kat?
>> Good.
>> Okay. Oh, sorry, that was so loud.
Hey, there's
there's
four three more that should be here with
these.
>> But it's okay, mine's a pretty sitting
here.
>> Oh, okay.
>> These are four, this is my brother's
cats, mine, and Han.
>> Seems like this one was the leftover
one. Not everyone used this one.
>> I I did.
>> Oh yeah, you did. How do you rate the
activity?
>> Had some fun conversation topics while
we did it, like in all groups. So, I
would rate it a solid nine out of 10.
>> Okay.
>> Mhm.
>> It would have been a 10 if we did it
together.
>> Yes.
>> Yes. And it was an easy activity.
>> I would rate it 10 out of 10 because she
took the effort to come.
>> Oh, that's so true. Actually, that was
so nice.
No, because it was actually so much more
enjoyable because of her preparation.
>> a activity for us.
>> Yeah, the I really like the red one red
one. I wanted more of these stripe
That's washi tape fun. We made it with
this washi tape.
