I Trained At The World’s Most Dangerous Gym
612 segments
Don't stop.
>> This is me in the world's most dangerous
gym. But it's not dangerous in the way
you're probably thinking.
It's dangerous because of its hardcore
lifting culture. You'll hear screaming
lifters going to failure and beyond.
It's essentially a war zone. The
workouts here are said to be extremely
challenging and many wouldn't attempt
it. So that just leaves one man for the
job. Me. We made it to the gym. quite
possibly my final resting place. I am
excited. I'm also terrified. It would be
like skydiving, but your ex packed your
parachute. That's how I feel right now.
But what I'm most nervous for is meeting
a man who goes by the name Unk. He
screams a lot. He gets in your face.
Luckily, we're like under 15 minutes
away from a hospital. I checked. So, I
guess that's a good thing. I'm
definitely not getting dangerous gym
vibes right here. If anything, this
building looks like a dental office. And
the logo, it kind of looks like a logo
that would be like a barber shop where
they only do skin fades. And if you ask
for anything else, they just they tell
you to leave
>> with that outside. I was definitely not
expecting this inside. This is more of
what I was expecting. Like this this is
sick. It gives me the vibes like I know
I'm going to die. Like if this gym was a
scented candle, it would be called
trauma and testosterone. Like this has
to be the most intimidating rack of
dumbbells I've ever seen in my entire
life. It looks like it wants to ruin me.
There's holes on the back of the
dumbbell rack. Even the dumbbells are in
danger. And if 120s are not heavy
enough, well, you have this massive pile
where you have to like shuffle through
thousands of pounds to get to the the
165s. You don't see this sign every day?
No cell phones. Get off Instagram and
train. I like that. Is there any
unspoken rules to this gym?
Yeah. Don't be a a a a [ __ ] There's so
many different like scuffs and like
holes in the walls that they all tell a
story or an obituary. Oh, my boy my boy
Steve, he passed out after the quadruple
drop set. He just fell head first into
the wall. And then like I've always said
in every gym, no matter what, there
always has to be a picture of Arnold.
It's right by the water fountain, too.
It's like I'm getting a taste of Arnold
right from the source.
Some dreams do come true.
>> That's you there. What and when was
that?
>> That was uh actually 1999.
>> 199 overall.
>> So it's known as America's most
dangerous gym.
>> Yeah. Well, it's hardcore. We try to
teach more like more discipline and
consistency, you know, like hard
training, hardcore training, old style,
Arnold Papa iron type days.
>> So, it's only dangerous if you don't
try,
>> right? It's only danger if you don't
try. Okay.
>> But it's it's a bit intimidating for
people to come in here.
>> I'm training with like any of those guys
tonight. Any words of advice?
>> Do you know Hunk? I've only ever seen
them once and I was like, you know what?
Let me I'll stay over here doing what
I'm doing. This place is actually kind
of like a maze. Don't really know where
really anything is, but as we can see,
we have now made it into a leg area,
which also looks like a set of a Saw
movie. Caveman invented fire and
apparently all the equipment here. It
looks epic
and just and just so scary. Look at the
shatters on the wall on the mirrors.
I'm telling you, a guy racked the weight
after it dropped head first in. But it
is really nice that this squat rack is
right by the exit sign, which I'm sure
the paramedics would appreciate. I think
I'm going to go like lay a mat down and
just pray that later tonight we're not
training legs.
It's almost 8:00 p.m. We're sitting here
waiting for him to show up. Nobody knows
what we're training cuz it's up to him.
So, it can literally be anything.
And the suspense is killing me right
now.
I think I saw something online about you
losing your toe.
>> Yeah.
>> And you still finished the set.
>> Yeah. After my third rep, I just I was
hyped. I just let go of the bar. And I
guess because I was holding the back end
of it, it was leaning forward. So the
front end of the hex bar hit my left
toe. It busted open. It was bleeding
everywhere. Blood squirting out of my
sock.
>> And the expectation is you just finished
a set.
>> Bro, I didn't I was My ears were
ringing, dude. I didn't know what was
going on. It was this old man behind me
yelling at me saying, "What do you
need?" He's like, "You don't need 10
toes. You only need nine." And he guess
he knows how to get Elk has a real good
way you you'll see today of like getting
in your head.
>> Yeah.
>> And then there was 455 on the bar, bro.
I walked up, blood coming out of my
sock, hit the squat, we superset
everything with push-ups. Every set, no
matter what we're training, super set
with push-ups. So, did my push-ups,
finished the workout, and then I went to
the hospital, and that's when I got
stitched up and fixed up and everything.
But my toe is finished. This is a no.
No.
>> Since I'm working out with the guys
today, I wanted to ask Hottie if there's
anything I should know before the
workout begins.
>> There's unspoken rules between us, if
that makes any sense. Right. And bro,
I'll tell you something. When I was 16
coming in here, I'll be doing pull-ups.
If I sat down in between my sets,
somebody would come check me. Yo, don't
sit down in this gym.
>> Like like they would just don't sit
down, bro. Everybody's in here working.
Stand up. You recover standing up.
>> Yeah.
>> Another thing usually like is hoodies.
Like they want you to have a hoodie on.
It's not a vanity show. We're not here
to like look at ourselves in the mirror
and just It's more of like wear the
hoodie so you cover everything. No
jewelry. It's another one. Usually the
shorts don't like the shorts. That's
>> no closing your eyes during sets.
>> No closing your eyes.
>> No closing your eyes during sets.
Theory. The concept behind that is like
if you're ever in a altercation or
situation where you're you're never
going to close your eyes, otherwise you
can't see. So when you're fighting, keep
your eyes open. No getting on your knees
when you get up from a push-up. So, if
you're doing push-ups, can't get on your
knees to get up. You get from the
push-up, put your leg up, and stand up.
>> Okay. Uh, those are pretty much all of
them, bro. All right. This is our front
wheel. He's going to be doing today.
Yes, I like.
You know that feeling when you're
younger, you're playing video games and
then your mom just comes screaming your
name from upstairs.
>> That's not how I feel. He seems uh angry
today. He's like that every day. He's in
a good mood today.
>> Yo, who the [ __ ] you was doing at Only
Fans warehouse?
>> I will say the beginning of this workout
was pretty chaotic. I had no idea what
was going on because nobody would tell
me anything. All I see is Uncle over
there just ripping some rope pullovers.
So, I'm just going to assume that means
we're training back.
>> We've learned a few things going on
today. Uh the first one, he attacks the
cameraman. I love you, bro. Be careful.
Second thing, he's a biter. He bites. I
like a little bit of teeth. I don't know
about the gem. Like, this is how
it
stops.
99.
Between every set this entire workout,
we have to do 15 push-ups. It can be
well over 15, depending on if you break
any of the rules during your lift.
You'll see exactly what I mean very
soon.
>> We done 100 reps first set, 50 reps
second set. Hopefully that means 25 the
next step.
>> I still don't fully know what it is
we're about to train, but uh keep on he
keeps on yelling that everyone's going
to die.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was
dirt.
I think it was 30. There's a very high
pants that this workout today brings up
some repressed memories.
[Music]
21.
Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on.
sing.
I like it.
I already feel
my back lifting my my arms.
>> It's cuz the thing is
>> H is like 270 lb and he expects you to
just match his weight. We'll grab that
black first one.
The biggest one.
>> It's a heavier bar than normal.
>> I don't know if I should if I'm allowed
to get my squash shoes. Should I get my
SWAT SW shoes?
>> Cuz these are going to break.
>> Yeah.
>> No. No. Get it. No. No. No.
[ __ ] costume change.
Take this camera.
How many
reps
%
50.
That's how I last longer though. I last
longer
shot.
go
out.
Cross.
Oh my god.
>> Basically, for all the sets, Ank goes
first. He feels the set and weight, and
then when he's done, he tells us the
reps we need to hit. Sometimes, if we're
lucky, he'll cut a deal where he drops
the weight, but adds some reps. It's
like a weightlifting origin. There's
like so much going on in here. I
actually don't even know where to put my
attention. Yo,
let's go.
When you do 100 reps, 30 reps doesn't
seem so bad.
Yo, what?
30 reps don't seem so bad.
Bro,
you just
you're seeing things up.
What's this count? 30
count. That was 25. Yeah, you're doing
right.
You turn right.
Come on. Come on. Work your work.
Come on.
You got to pay.
Yeah.
He said 25.
count.
My legs are
told
60. So you got
your countless
40%.
>> Yeah. What are you doing? Let me get 40,
man.
Go.
We got 10
[Applause]
What you want to do?
[Applause]
That's two poses. That's two poses ones.
Don't count. Don't count. That don't
count. Don't count.
Oh, stop.
Are you okay? Are you That's what I need
to know. Are you all right? Are you all
right? I'm going to finish you. Finish
it up.
Stop. Taking a break. Breathe. Work. You
taking a break?
>> What you're witnessing right now is
probably the hardest leg press set of my
entire life. My legs were genuinely
screaming in pain. And every time I went
down for a rep, I really did not think I
was going to get it back up.
I know. I know.
The floor
My soul is trying to exit my body
through my quads. And the rule about not
being able to sit down between sets is
actually becoming incredibly difficult.
>> I'm running out straight, have a [ __ ]
fire, and can't hear this [ __ ] I can't
make excuses. So you can't even 50
[ __ ] down. Now I'm going to go
heavier. Come on. Come on. Come on.
>> Probably
the farthest I've ever
push my legs in my leg.
I'm not even seeing
normally right now.
Leg press
up to eight plates per side. This is not
leg press. This next
one. Come on. Come on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Let's go. Let's go.
We
are
[ __ ]
[ __ ]
[ __ ] Figure the [ __ ] out.
Heat. Heat.
Get
the whole [ __ ]
out of your head.
Wake the [ __ ] up.
Wake your ass up. There we go.
[ __ ] I will
go
[ __ ] fight. I'm dead. That's more
like it.
The second time
It looks
[ __ ]
we see what happens. But all I need to
do is dog.
>> I mean, for sure it's not my [ __ ]
We don't know yet.
My belt.
>> You can't hit it wrong. It's not yours,
right?
>> Huh?
>> You can't hit it wrong. It's not yours.
>> Yeah. He said you can't hit it. She
ain't yours.
Craziest thing
during this stuff they just keep on
yelling. It's like one more, one more,
one more. You don't really mean one
more. And he knows better than when I
say one more. I mean one more. So that
just makes it sad.
>> Yeah.
>> Way harder cuz you really never know
when he's going to finish. I feel like
I'm counting right now.
>> But Skyler's in a different in a
different world. You got a 405 on the
bar 66 lb. Feels a longer bar, so it
feels a lot harder. And these chains are
45 lb.
>> Yo, come on, bro. Get out of your head,
bro. Yeah, but I know you in your head
before you start
off.
Listen, be quiet.
>> It was really hard to stay confident
going into these sets because it was so
far out of my comfort zone. Any sign of
self-doubt I placed on myself really
pissed them off. Like really pissed them
off a lot.
>> Where the [ __ ] you are right here?
>> A lot.
>> Get it in your [ __ ] head. You can do
it. All right, here we go. Yo, let's
[ __ ] go, bro. Go.
Come on. Come on. Come on. Yeah. Yeah.
Come on. That's what I want.
Come on. Yeah. Come on. Yeah.
Come on.
Come on.
Let's go.
Let's go. Will go.
Why the [ __ ] are you shaking your head?
No, please. Why the [ __ ] are you shaking
your head? Let's go.
Let's go. Let's go.
Let's go. Let's go.
Yeah.
Get off.
I've never done so many
where
I thought there was no like those are
terrifying.
I feel like a fight or flight.
was activated on those sets.
>> Holy [ __ ] Y
that was impressive as [ __ ] And the
only the only thing is you're saying no,
but you have it in cuz you did he did 10
and then he did his two and nobody
really helped you.
My fighter flame has been activated too
much today.
You almost start to feel uh
I'm starting to feel a little bit like
honestly emotional. As weirdly as sounds
for myself, I feel like once I I racked
the the squats, I almost kind of wanted
to cry.
But um
I don't think I've ever pushed myself
like this ever. Ever for sure. Like
nothing comes close.
Wow.
15.
Come on. Come on. Let's go.
[ __ ]
I don't [ __ ]
What did you just witness? Like what did
you just see? [ __ ] [ __ ] your face
on the whole story, bro. Cuz I know I
know I'm next.
Remember
when I said I just went through the most
painful leg press set of my entire life?
Well, this is now the new hardest leg
press set of my entire life. I couldn't
even unrackck the weight. Ank wasn't too
happy about it. As you can see,
three
go. Come on. We
here.
Come on, little more. We Come on. You
just need 10 of these, [ __ ]
Come on.
Two more. Two more. That's your [ __ ]
[ __ ] go.
T.
Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up. Get up.
Let's go.
>> Get out your [ __ ] head. Let's go. Get
your feet.
Let's go.
You got
to go,
>> bro.
You've been doing this [ __ ] long enough
now. Go. How the [ __ ] you want to tell
them to do something like this and you
ain't doing it? Get your hand out your
ass and work
your hand.
Raise your hand
down.
Lucky you lucky
[ __ ] right now.
[ __ ] you on your own.
[ __ ] you today.
>> It's just so far out of my comfort zone.
>> It's pretty insane cuz I think that you
think that you're capable of anything. I
can't feel my back.
>> I can't feel my neck. I'm tensing so
much. I'm so dizzy. I feel like I my
eyes are like bloodshot.
If you stop the I don't think I can
before and just go. I promise you I was
last now. Finish the game. Finish the
game. Fourth quarter. Finish the game.
Surprisingly doing pull-ups now, which
I'm ecstatic about. Starting to act like
I'm devastated because if I act excited,
I have a feeling we're going to somehow
be doing some
capable of. What's your philosophy with
your training?
effort. That's effort. Hardest part
about being in the gym is getting once
you're in there is effort. I don't give
a [ __ ] if you say, "Yo, my bench press
only 225. Do it as much as you can. Show
effort." We do this [ __ ] to stay alive.
We're from a [ __ ] community that's
ravaged with death and violence. This is
a part of our rehab. This is a part of
our physical mental therapy and it's a
part of stay the [ __ ] alive. Fear is a
[ __ ] option. You got to be able to
turn fear off that [ __ ] done because you
don't know what the [ __ ] you can do
until you do it. And that's you just did
that. You fell and then got in the full
place changed and did a
[ __ ] list of but you got it done.
That's why we train the way we train. We
don't train within the realm of
everybody else. We do what the [ __ ] we
want to do because that's how we
survive. At the end of fight at the end
of day, he's by himself. He got to be
able to take on all type of [ __ ] in the
social media world. Young business
owner. He's Arabic. He's Musl he's
taking on a lot of different type of
racial disparities and he got to fight
them [ __ ] off instead of being ignorant
out there. He's oppressive in here. You
got the discipline to survive here. You
have to discipline to survive out there.
Cuz every day life is a [ __ ] test.
The people that don't like you, people
that don't want to get you fired from
your job, people that's jealous of you.
And the minute you react to OPAC, you're
shot. You're done. You guys are [ __ ]
psychotic. Tell me more. What was your
pain?
>> It feels like you're actually training
for your life. I've never seen people
train like this before. So, I feel like
it's one of those things that once you
see that you're capable of doing it,
like coming back and doing it is right a
little more manageable. You surrounded
with savages, so you turned into one. If
you can't do it by yourself, like Punk
said, get a group. You going to go
farther. I'm glad he came here because
it was imperative that he came here
because he could have been judgmental
from your standpoint, too. He's never
for the rest of his life going to work
out the same after today cuz he took
himself somewhere mentally and
physically that he can no longer turn
the [ __ ] off. The dog is in bed. It's
like he got bit by rabies. It's over. So
that night world that y'all used to buy.
No, it's still going to be there. It's
going to be a constant professional. But
when that dog come out, that [ __ ] over
that [ __ ] over. It's a new [ __ ] dog
in town. And to the Hold on, this my
last thing. And to the people out there
that are going to be critical and say a
lot of things, this is all I'm going to
say. I'm not going to say nothing
negative. reach out to the TTV page and
book a flight and come train with us and
then do your hourong critique of how you
survive. You can't feel your body for
the rest of your
right.
>> Celebrating my survival with a
welldeserved meal here. I feel like I
spent the night with the entire Eagles O
line. My back is just blown the hell out
right now. But I'm starving.
And if you're going to train that hard,
it is critical that your nutrition is on
point. So, you got to be tracking your
calories and your macros. So, I highly
recommend that you use the macro factor
app. Now, I don't know the calories of
this at all. So, I used the AI feature,
and I think it's quite close. I was
thinking this was around 800 calories
before. I scanned it. It says 775
calories. I know. I asked them there's
10 ounces of chicken in here, which is
around like 50 55 g of protein. It's
telling me right here 49.8 g of protein.
So, it's pretty damn close. It's not
perfect. when we're out, when we're
traveling, we can't always be perfect,
but as long as you're tracking and being
accountable in some degree, that's all
that really matters. So, if you guys
want to try out the MacroFactor app, use
code will for a twoe free trial. And
we're on the road for 5 million
subscribers. So, make sure you subscribe
if you're not already. I'm going to
enjoy this. I deserve it. Peace.
