So, by now you've probably already

0:01

unboxed and set up your brand new iPhone

0:03

17, 17 Pro, or iPhone Air. But now you

0:07

might be overwhelmed and wondering what

0:09

to do next. Well, that's exactly why I'm

0:11

here, because in this video, we're going

0:13

to cover the first 24 things that you

0:16

need to do. So, the first settings you

0:18

should change, the first features you

0:19

should try out, and everything you need

0:21

to know to get the most out of your

0:23

device. And there are going to be many

0:25

bonus tips and little Easter eggs

0:26

sprinkled throughout the video as well,

0:28

so stay alert. Okay, so the very first

0:30

thing you need to do is make sure your

0:32

device is actually new. And when I say

0:34

that, I know I sound crazy, but you

0:36

would be very surprised to see how many

0:39

people think they get a new device, but

0:40

it's not actually brand new. So, we need

0:42

to make sure yours is brand new, so you

0:44

can return it within that 14-day window

0:46

if yours is not actually brand new. So

0:48

to do that, we need to go into our

0:49

settings, go to battery, and from here,

0:52

scroll down until you get to battery

0:54

health. And you want to make sure that

0:56

your maximum capacity is at 100% and

0:59

that your cycle count is low. So if you

1:01

just unbox your device, the cycle count

1:03

should be at zero. But if you've been

1:05

using it for a little bit, it should be

1:07

relatively low. I'd say less than 10

1:09

cycles if you've only used it for a

1:10

couple of days or a few days. Now, while

1:12

we're in the battery section, you also

1:14

need to do a few other things. So, first

1:15

off, you need to understand that we have

1:16

a brand new battery chart. Now, in our

1:19

settings, it's a lot more advanced. So,

1:20

now you can go into specific

1:22

applications and see charts and usage

1:24

based on specific apps. But, we need to

1:26

change a couple of other things in here.

1:27

So, first off, battery percentage is

1:29

disabled by default. So, if you want to

1:31

see your battery percentage up here in

1:33

your status bar, some people don't like

1:35

that because it's anxietyinducing, but

1:37

if you do want to see your battery

1:38

percentage, that right there is where

1:39

you enable it. Now, also if we go into

1:41

power mode, we have a brand new mode

1:44

called adaptive power with iOS 26. So,

1:47

the way this feature works is basically

1:48

when your device detects that you're

1:50

using more battery than usual, it will

1:52

make performance adjustments such as

1:53

lowering your display brightness for

1:55

you. It will allow some activities to

1:57

take longer and it can turn on low power

1:59

mode at 20%. Now, that sounds good. That

2:03

will likely save battery life. But if

2:04

you're somebody who wants to have full

2:06

control over your device and you don't

2:07

want things being changed automatically

2:09

for you, you might want to turn that off

2:10

since it is on by default. Now, me

2:13

personally, I will be keeping that on.

2:15

However, I will be turning off adaptive

2:17

power notifications because I don't need

2:18

a notification every time something like

2:20

this is happening in the background.

2:22

Now, if we go back to this screen, we

2:23

also need to go into charging and change

2:25

our charge limit. So, by default, your

2:28

charge limit is set up to 100%. That

2:30

way, when you charge your phone, it

2:31

charges up to 100%. Sounds logical.

2:33

However, if you plan on keeping your

2:35

device for multiple years, you might

2:37

want to change this to something like

2:39

90%. That's what I typically keep my

2:41

charge limit at. That way, my phone only

2:43

charges up to 90%, and that's just a

2:45

little bit easier on the long-term

2:46

battery health of your lithium-ion

2:48

battery in your iPhone. Now, will it

2:50

make a massive difference over like one

2:52

or two years? Probably not. But after a

2:54

couple of years, it could have an impact

2:55

if you charge your phone up to 100%

2:57

every single time. It's also why you see

2:59

electric cars recommend you not charge

3:01

up to 100%. it's just not as good

3:03

longterm on the battery. So, just keep

3:05

that in mind and you can adjust that

3:07

based on your usage and how long you

3:09

plan on keeping your phone. So, for me,

3:11

I'm going to keep mine sets at 90% just

3:13

because I prefer to keep my battery

3:15

health at 100% for as long as possible

3:17

and I believe that is the best way to do

3:19

it or one of the best ways to do it.

3:20

Now, also clean energy charging is

3:22

turned on by default. I always turn that

3:25

off completely. So, what this does is it

3:27

will try to reduce your carbon footprint

3:29

by selectively charging when lower

3:31

carbon emission electricity is

3:33

available. So, if you want to charge

3:35

your phone whenever you want to charge

3:36

your phone, I would recommend turning

3:37

that off because sometimes if you had

3:39

this turned on and you plugged in your

3:40

phone, it would not actually charge

3:42

until it detected that lower carbon

3:44

emission electricity is available and

3:46

that can get pretty frustrating. So,

3:47

personal preference, but I will be

3:49

turning that off. So this year, Apple

3:50

did something they've never done before

3:52

on the iPhone, and that is that they put

3:54

a Pro display on nonpro iPhone. So the

3:58

base model iPhone 17 and the iPhone Air

4:01

now get the Pro display, which is the

4:04

120 Hz prootion display, which means

4:07

that you have the always on display on

4:10

those devices. And you also have the

4:12

more fluid screen in general that goes

4:15

from one hertz to 120 Hz. So the next

4:17

thing you need to do is understand how

4:19

that works, why it's actually different,

4:21

and also adjust your always on display

4:23

settings. So let's start with the always

4:25

on display. Always on display is when

4:26

you lock your device and you can still

4:28

see certain elements. So like the time,

4:30

the date, the background, notifications.

4:32

However, you might want to change that.

4:34

So if you go into your settings here and

4:35

then we go down to display and

4:37

brightness and then scroll down, you

4:39

will see always on display. That's brand

4:41

new if you've never had a Pro device

4:42

before. So if we go to always on

4:44

display, everything is selected by

4:46

default. However, you might not want

4:48

that. So, you can turn always on display

4:50

off as a whole if you want to. I think

4:52

it's pretty useful, but it will save you

4:54

battery life if you do turn the always

4:55

on display off. Now, also, if you don't

4:58

want to have notifications showing up,

4:59

you can turn that off because it can be

5:01

pretty distracting when you can just

5:02

always glance at your phone and see your

5:04

notifications. So, I will be turning

5:06

that off. And then, if you don't want

5:07

your wallpaper, you can turn that off.

5:09

And if you don't want it blurred, you

5:10

can turn that off. However, I think both

5:12

of those look pretty good with the right

5:13

wallpaper. And if you've never had a 120

5:15

Hz promotion display on your iPhone,

5:18

basically the best way you can tell that

5:19

it's 120 Hz is when you scroll really

5:21

fast on a web page or anytime you just

5:24

move really fast on your iPhone, you

5:25

will just notice how everything is a bit

5:27

smoother. Everything just feels smoother

5:29

and less choppy than the 60 Hz displays

5:32

that we've had in the past. Now, also,

5:34

if you're somebody who prefers 60 Hz for

5:37

some reason, you can change that back.

5:39

So, if you go into your settings and

5:40

into accessibility and then into motion,

5:43

if we go down here near the bottom, we

5:46

have an option called limit frame rate.

5:48

And what this does is it will set the

5:50

maximum frame rate to 60 frames per

5:53

second. But I like 120 Hz. I think most

5:55

of you guys do as well, so I'm going to

5:57

keep that disabled. Okay. So, we have a

5:58

pretty nice upgrade to the cameras on

6:00

the iPhone 17 lineup. Even the iPhone

6:02

Air got a nice upgrade in the camera

6:05

department on the rearfacing and on the

6:07

front-facing camera. So, what I want to

6:08

talk about right now is dual recording.

6:11

So, the next thing you need to do is try

6:13

out the brand new dual recording mode on

6:16

the iPhone 17 and the iPhone Air. So,

6:19

how you do this? By default, you will

6:21

not see anything right here. When you go

6:23

to video that's new. However, when you

6:25

tap on these dots up in the top right,

6:27

you will see that we have a brand new

6:29

option at the bottom called dual

6:31

capture. When you tap on that, what this

6:33

will do is it will bring up a screen of

6:35

your front-facing camera along with your

6:37

rearfacing camera, and you can record

6:39

both simultaneously. So, if I go ahead

6:42

over here, you can see I have my face in

6:43

there, and I also have these iPhones in

6:45

the frame, and I can record that at the

6:47

same time. So, if I go ahead and start

6:49

recording, you can see I'm up there in

6:50

the upper right corner. However,

6:52

something else you need to do and kind

6:53

of just understand is that you can move

6:55

this around. So, you can actually move

6:57

your camera around while you're

6:58

recording. So you can change it before.

7:00

You can also move it around while you're

7:02

recording and that will adjust in the

7:04

actual video file as well. So now if I

7:06

go into that video, you can see it will

7:09

show me right up there. And then it will

7:11

show me as well as I'm moving that

7:12

camera around while I'm recording. So

7:14

the iPhone 17 introduces a brand new

7:16

setting that people have waited many

7:18

years for. And this has to do with PWM,

7:22

which is pulse with modulation. So,

7:24

basically, if you've ever looked at your

7:26

phone, especially in the dark, and you

7:28

got a headache or you felt your eyes

7:30

just kind of getting tired, it could be

7:32

due to PWM. And PWM is basically the

7:35

number of times that your display

7:37

flickers. So, OLED displays flicker to

7:39

adjust the brightness levels. And this

7:41

setting will disable that fast blinking

7:44

and it's going to lower the actual power

7:46

going to the screen to make it darker.

7:48

So, let me stop getting technical for a

7:49

minute and just show you where the

7:50

setting is. So, go into your settings,

7:52

go to accessibility, and you want to go

7:54

down to display and text size, and then

7:56

scroll down near the bottom. You have a

7:58

brand new toggle for the iPhone 17

8:01

series and the iPhone Air called display

8:03

pulse smoothing, PWM. And this is off by

8:06

default, but if you're somebody who

8:08

suffers from, you know, reacting to PWM,

8:11

you might want to turn this on. This

8:12

should actually be one of the first

8:13

things that you turn on on your iPhone.

8:15

And Apple describes it as this disables

8:17

pulse width modulation to provide a

8:19

different way to dim the OLED display

8:21

which can create a smoother display

8:23

output at low brightness levels.

8:25

Disabling PWM may affect low brightness

8:28

display performance under certain

8:30

conditions. But of course, that last

8:31

sentence is not even going to matter if

8:33

you can actually look at your display

8:34

now and not get a headache. So, this is

8:36

actually a game-changing feature for a

8:39

lot of people who suffer from this who

8:40

got a headache every time they looked at

8:42

their phone and tried to use it. So, if

8:43

you did, make sure you turn that on. So,

8:45

here's another first for Apple. So, this

8:47

year for the iPhone 17 Pro series,

8:49

specifically the Pro and the Pro Max,

8:51

Apple put the ceramic shield on the back

8:54

of the iPhone for the first time ever.

8:56

So, we do have ceramic Shield 2 on the

8:59

front. So, all of the iPhone 17s have

9:01

ceramic Shield 2 on the front. That's

9:03

going to lead to three times better

9:05

scratch resistance. However, and I'm

9:06

sure you've seen it by now, so many

9:08

people online are reporting that the

9:10

iPhone 17 Pro specifically and the Pro

9:13

Max and also the Air are very

9:15

scratchprone. A lot of people are seeing

9:17

major scratches on their 17 Pros and

9:20

their iPhone Airs. So, I'm just going to

9:22

go ahead and put a case on my iPhone 17

9:24

Pro Max so I don't scratch it up while

9:26

I'm making this video. So, I've been

9:27

working with Rhino Shield for the past

9:29

several years and they continue to just

9:31

improve on their already great case

9:33

lineup year after year. So, for the

9:34

iPhone 17 series, they have three main

9:37

styles, and I think you'll like the last

9:38

one, but this first one is the solid X

9:41

case. It's the next generation of the

9:43

classic solid suitcase, but just much

9:45

better overall. So, it absorbs 71% of

9:48

the drop impact thanks to the shock

9:50

spread eco material. So, it's tough, but

9:52

it feels great in the hand. And it's

9:54

also lightweight, and it has some of my

9:55

favorite buttons because they're so

9:57

tactile and responsive. But we do also

9:59

have the iconic clear case from Rhino

10:01

Shield, which has a lifetime anti-

10:03

yellowing warranty that they actually

10:05

honor. This one allows you to see the

10:06

glorious iPhone 17 colors while also

10:09

being super lightweight at just under 32

10:12

g. That's lighter than a half a slice of

10:14

bread. But don't mistake that for

10:15

weakness because it exceeds military

10:17

grade impact protection and has passed

10:19

extensive in-house lab tests. And then

10:21

we have the ultra customizable and

10:23

expressive Nod NX case. So, this one

10:25

lets you swap out the bumper and back

10:27

plates whenever you get bored of your

10:29

case design. And if you need full 360°

10:31

protection, Rhino Shield also has the

10:33

Impact Protector Pro screen protector

10:35

that provides blue light protection and

10:37

a simple install. So, if you picked up

10:39

an iPhone 17, you should absolutely

10:41

consider a case from Rhino Shield. Right

10:43

now, when you buy an iPhone 17 case,

10:45

you'll get 40% off a screen protector

10:47

and a free lens protector, which I don't

10:49

think those are really that great, but

10:50

you will get that for free. Plus, if you

10:52

use my exclusive code, Brandon at

10:54

checkout, you will get an extra 10% off

10:56

your entire order. Okay, so the next

10:58

thing you need to do is understand how

11:00

to actually work the center stage selfie

11:02

camera. So, this year, all the iPhone

11:04

17s and the iPhone Air get a massive

11:07

upgrade to the selfie camera. So, yes,

11:09

it's now 18 megapixels, but what does

11:11

that actually mean? Is it actually

11:12

better? Yes, it actually is better, but

11:15

only if you know how to use the center

11:17

stage selfie camera because it's

11:18

honestly kind of confusing out of the

11:20

box because you have these two buttons

11:21

down at the bottom and then you also

11:23

have this button up top which is on by

11:25

default. So, when you tap on that button

11:27

right there, you will see two different

11:29

options that are separated from each

11:31

other. So, you have auto zoom and auto

11:33

rotate. And it says center stage can

11:35

zoom and rotate to fit everybody in. So,

11:37

if you don't want it zooming, you can

11:38

turn that off while keeping auto rotate

11:40

on. And vice versa, you could have auto

11:42

zoom on while having auto rotate off.

11:44

Now, what auto rotate is is basically if

11:47

you have multiple people in a photo and

11:48

you're taking a selfie, it will

11:50

automatically rotate the orientation of

11:52

that photo. So, you don't have to

11:54

actually manually change your, you know,

11:56

direction of your phone like this to fit

11:58

more people in. It will take that photo

12:01

in landscape mode, even if you're

12:03

holding your camera up and taking it in

12:05

the portrait orientation. So, it's going

12:07

to be smart now and understand that it

12:09

needs to switch to landscape to fit more

12:11

people in the frame. So, it will do that

12:13

automatically as long as you have auto

12:16

rotate turned on. Now, auto zoom is also

12:18

important as well because that acts like

12:20

the typical center stage feature that

12:22

we've seen in the past on the Mac and on

12:24

the iPad. So, you do want to have that

12:26

on if you want the camera to kind of

12:28

follow you around and keep you in frame.

12:30

However, I will say that the center

12:31

stage camera does also work on FaceTime.

12:34

So, you might want to disable that. And

12:36

to disable that, when you're on

12:37

FaceTime, you just swipe up from the top

12:39

right. And then in your control center,

12:41

you will see camera controls up top. You

12:43

will see that we now have a center stage

12:45

option for the first time. So, if you go

12:47

to that, you can tap on that to turn it

12:49

off. And you will know it's on when it's

12:51

highlighted white with the blue around

12:53

it. And you can also access this when

12:55

you tap on your camera view and then go

12:56

to camera effects. And we have center

12:58

stage right there. So, you can turn that

13:00

on, you can see it working. or if you

13:01

turn it off, it will go back to just

13:02

showing where your front-facing camera

13:04

is actually facing. And by the way, the

13:06

front-facing camera now uses a square

13:08

sensor. And that's how it's able to

13:10

change between portrait and landscape

13:12

mode is because of that new sensor

13:13

inside. And keep in mind, you can also

13:16

manually adjust the front-facing camera

13:18

using this button right here, which will

13:19

really extend the view. So, it will

13:21

widen the view right there. You can also

13:23

tap this to change the orientation

13:25

without actually again changing the

13:27

orientation of your phone. So you can

13:28

see when it looks like this, that means

13:30

you're shooting a photo in landscape

13:32

mode. When you shoot like that, it means

13:34

you're taking a photo in portrait mode,

13:36

which is usually just like a couple of

13:37

people. But if you have more than like

13:39

two or three people, you might want to

13:40

press that and make it so that it is in

13:43

landscape mode instead of portrait so

13:45

you can fit everybody in there. Or of

13:46

course, if you have center stage turned

13:48

on, it will do that automatically for

13:50

you. But let's flip around to the other

13:52

side because this year the iPhone 17

13:54

Pros have something that the iPhone 17

13:57

or the iPhone Air do not have and that

14:00

is that we now have triple 48 megapixel

14:04

lenses on the back because the telephoto

14:06

lens is now also 48 megapixels. So the

14:10

next thing you need to do is try out the

14:13

amazing 4x to 8x optical zoom. So now

14:17

when you go to the screen you will see

14:19

that we not only have 0.5 one and two we

14:22

also have four and eight. So now you can

14:25

optically zoom in which is going to give

14:27

you better quality than digital zoom to

14:30

up to 8x which is pretty crazy. And you

14:32

can also digital zoom up to 40x now on

14:36

the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. And by

14:38

the way you also need to know that this

14:39

is not called the camera bump anymore. I

14:41

know a lot of people are still calling

14:42

it the camera bump, but technically

14:44

based on Apple's verbiage, they're

14:46

calling it the camera plateau. So, start

14:48

adjusting your vocabulary to just call

14:50

this the camera plateau instead of the

14:52

camera bump. And I do also want to

14:54

mention that you can use the camera

14:55

control to zoom as well. So, if we

14:57

scroll over here to zoom and go in, you

14:59

can see that we can zoom up to that 4x

15:01

and the 8x right there. So, we can stop

15:03

on 8x. There we go. It has, you know,

15:05

has a little resistance there. to stop

15:07

right at the 8x, but you can use the

15:08

camera control for those zooms as well.

15:11

And I'll talk more about how to use

15:12

camera control properly in a moment.

15:14

Now, let's talk about that camera

15:15

control button because if you did not

15:16

have an iPhone 16, this is going to be

15:18

pretty foreign to you. And this is also

15:20

on the iPhone Air. So, all the models

15:22

this year did get the camera control and

15:24

it's about time to learn how to use it

15:26

because it can be very confusing and

15:28

very frustrating to use if you don't

15:30

know how. So, basically, what you want

15:31

to do first off is just understand the

15:33

basics. So, what this is, it's an actual

15:35

button. So when you press in on it, it

15:37

will take a photo, but you can haptic

15:39

press as well. So if you push down

15:41

without actually fully pressing down,

15:43

you get access to different menus if

15:45

it's enabled. So the first thing we need

15:46

to do is go into our settings. So if we

15:48

go into settings here and go into

15:50

camera, you will see that up top we have

15:52

camera control. If we go into that, it

15:54

will show you what you can do here. So

15:56

first off, you can change what actually

15:58

launches. So if you want the camera app

16:00

to launch, you can do that. or there are

16:02

third party applications and other type

16:03

of camera apps that you can open up

16:05

right here. So I keep mine on camera.

16:07

You could also choose the gesture to

16:09

open up the camera app. So if you wanted

16:10

to be a single click or a double click,

16:12

that is where you can adjust it. You

16:14

could also go down here to camera

16:16

adjustment. So if that's off by default,

16:18

you might want to turn that on if you

16:20

plan on using the camera control because

16:21

what that does is if we go ahead and

16:23

launch the camera here, that allows you

16:25

to do that press in without fully

16:27

pressing. you kind of just, you know,

16:28

push your finger in without fully

16:30

pressing on the button and that allows

16:31

you to get to the menu right here to

16:34

make adjustments while you're shooting,

16:36

you know, in this kind of position of

16:38

camera control. So, basically what you

16:40

need to do is when you go into a menu,

16:42

you just press like that to go into it

16:43

and then double press to go back to the

16:46

main menu where you can go to different

16:47

options here like your photographic

16:48

styles, your cameras, your zoom, all of

16:51

that. So you press one time to go into

16:52

it and you can kind of slide your finger

16:54

across this camera control to use that

16:56

function. Double press to go back to the

16:59

main menu. If we want to change the

17:01

depth again, press on it. You don't

17:02

actually fully press down. You're just

17:04

basically haptic pressing. So you're

17:06

pushing down, not pressing, if that

17:07

makes sense. So pushing is where you

17:09

don't use all your force. Pressing, in

17:11

my opinion, is where you just press all

17:12

the way down on a button as if it were

17:14

just another button like the power. Now

17:15

of course you can press to take a photo,

17:17

but you can also press and hold to start

17:19

taking a quick take video. So now, as

17:21

long as you're holding on the camera

17:22

control, like fully pushing down on it,

17:24

it's going to start recording until you

17:26

let go. Once you let go, it will stop

17:28

that recording because that was a quick

17:30

take recording. But I have to say that

17:32

by default, the camera control button is

17:33

very, very sensitive. And you might

17:35

actually want to change a very important

17:37

setting for this. So, if you go into

17:38

your settings here, we're going to go

17:39

back out of that whole section, and

17:41

we're actually going to go into

17:42

accessibility for this one. So, if you

17:44

go into accessibility and then you

17:45

scroll down, you will see that we have a

17:47

dedicated section in here for camera

17:49

control. If you go into that, you can

17:52

change the light press force. So,

17:54

remember the light press is not the full

17:56

press down where you like take a photo,

17:58

the light press is how you pull up the

17:59

menus and how you kind of select menus.

18:01

So, if you find that to be a little off,

18:04

if you want that to be like you only

18:05

have to press it a little bit lighter,

18:06

you can change that. Or if you notice

18:08

it's too sensitive, you might want to

18:09

change that to firmer. Me personally, I

18:11

find it to be too sensitive. So, I like

18:13

to change that to firmer and I notice it

18:15

gives me a better experience. Now, also

18:17

you can change the double light press

18:19

speed. So, if you don't like having to

18:20

double press super fast and you know not

18:23

triggering, you can actually slow that

18:24

down. So, you can double tap a little

18:26

bit slower and it will still, you know,

18:28

know that you're trying to do a double

18:30

press. So, I like keeping that on

18:31

default. And then you also have double

18:33

click speed. So, again, click is where

18:35

you fully push down and you take a

18:36

photo. So, if you want the double click

18:38

speed to be a little bit slower, you can

18:40

change that in here as well. Now, the

18:41

iPhone 17 Pros this year get a pretty

18:44

major upgrade in terms of performance.

18:46

So, the next thing you need to do is

18:47

understand that the iPhone 17 Pros now

18:50

have 12 GB of RAM for the first time

18:54

ever on an iPhone. So, basically, you

18:56

just need to understand really the thing

18:57

you need to do is just know that you can

18:59

now multitask better than ever before.

19:02

So, multitasking will be better. You

19:03

know, if you're trying to export videos

19:05

a lot, that will be better as well,

19:07

especially if you have other

19:08

applications running. But that kind of

19:10

goes handinhand with the next thing you

19:12

need to know about the iPhone 17. The

19:14

next thing you need to do is basically

19:16

know about the vapor chamber cooling

19:18

system inside of the iPhone 17 Pro

19:20

because that's really the whole point of

19:22

having this aluminum unibody design.

19:24

It's one of the major reasons Apple

19:26

designed the phone this way is so they

19:28

can fit a vapor chamber cooling system

19:30

inside. And again, this is something

19:32

brand new for Apple and it's only on the

19:35

Pro models. Now, on paper, it makes the

19:37

iPhone 17 Pro heavier than the iPhone

19:39

16, but actually feels lighter at times.

19:42

But basically, this vapor chamber

19:43

cooling system is going to help

19:45

significantly keep the temperature down

19:47

when you're performing intensive tasks

19:49

such as hardcore gaming, exporting

19:52

videos, using Lightroom to edit your

19:54

photos and export them. That can really

19:55

be really taxing on the iPhone

19:57

sometimes, and it gets really hot. But

19:59

you will notice after using your 17 Pro

20:01

that it does not get near as hot as

20:03

previous iPhones. And basically the

20:06

vapor chamber cooling system is a big

20:08

reason why. So if you've had issues in

20:09

the past with games and things not

20:11

running properly, try it again on the

20:13

iPhone 17 Pro because I think you'll be

20:15

pretty impressed. Now the next thing you

20:16

need to do on your iPhone 17 is

20:17

something very important that probably

20:19

annoys the heck out of you when you

20:21

first get a phone. And that is that you

20:22

need to configure your display settings.

20:25

Especially if you did not set up your

20:27

device from a previous device. If you

20:29

started fresh, you're absolutely going

20:30

to want to change this. So go into your

20:32

settings. There's a few things we want

20:33

to adjust in here. So once you're in

20:34

your settings and then go down to the

20:36

display and brightness section and you

20:38

want to change your appearance first

20:39

off. So if you like light mode or dark

20:40

mode, you can change that or you can

20:42

have it set to automatic based on the

20:44

sunrise and sunset. I'm going to keep

20:45

mine on light for the sake of this

20:47

video. Now also we have our brightness

20:49

here. So brightness is important. True

20:51

tone is also important. So if you want

20:52

your display to adapt to the colors

20:54

around you, you should keep true tone

20:56

on. We do also have autolock. I would

20:58

highly recommend setting this to 3 to 5

21:00

minutes. In my opinion, 30 seconds to 2

21:02

minutes is too short. That's where your

21:04

phone automatically locks out. It gets

21:05

black and locks you out after not

21:07

touching it for 30 seconds is the

21:09

default. So, I'd recommend raising that

21:10

up. I would also recommend turning off

21:13

raise to wake. So, raise to wake is

21:14

where you have your device off and if

21:16

you wake it up like that, that little

21:17

motion right there, it will

21:18

automatically unlock. However, the

21:20

reason I prefer to keep that off is

21:22

because that can inadvertently, you

21:24

know, reduce battery life. So, a lot of

21:25

people do that and they wake up their

21:27

phone constantly throughout the day on

21:29

accident just because they picked their

21:30

phone up in a certain way. So, I find

21:31

that to be kind of a redundant setting.

21:33

If it's something you like, of course,

21:34

keep it on. Just my personal preference.

21:36

I would keep that off. We also have

21:38

always on display right there and the

21:39

display zoom if you prefer to have

21:41

larger text on your device. Now, also,

21:43

you might be wondering where is auto

21:45

brightness because that's also something

21:46

pretty important. So, if you go into

21:47

your settings, go to accessibility,

21:49

display, and text size. Down at the

21:51

bottom, we have auto brightness. So,

21:54

this is something you will want to turn

21:55

on because auto brightness not only is

21:57

great for adjusting the brightness for

21:59

you, but also it's the only way that

22:01

you're able to take advantage of the

22:02

full 3,000 nits of peak brightness on

22:05

the iPhone 17s this year when outdoors.

22:08

So, yes, even the iPhone Air and the

22:10

base model iPhone 17 can get the same

22:12

3,000 nits of peak brightness outdoors

22:15

as the Pro and Pro Max, but that's only

22:17

if you have auto brightness turned on.

22:19

So, I recommend keeping that turned on.

22:21

Okay, so it's about time to talk about

22:23

this home screen here because the next

22:24

thing you need to do is make your iPhone

22:27

yours. You need to make it customized to

22:29

look not like everybody else's phone out

22:31

there, which if you take a look at mine,

22:32

I don't think anybody else's phone looks

22:34

like mine. And that's kind of the point.

22:36

I want you to customize your phone to

22:37

look the same way. So, you might notice

22:39

that these wallpapers are not the

22:41

default wallpapers. These are actually

22:43

part of my Lustra wallpaper pack. It's a

22:45

big collection of like 90 wallpapers.

22:47

I'd highly recommend getting this

22:49

because it looks so good with liquid

22:50

glass. Even if you don't use the clear

22:52

icons, it looks amazing with dark icons

22:54

as well and light icons. So, if you want

22:56

to check this out, it's linked down in

22:57

the description below. I'll actually do

22:58

a little 15% off code as well. So, just

23:01

say Easter egg. Easter egg will get you

23:02

50% or 15% off of this wallpaper

23:05

collection if you use that. I'm not

23:06

going to put it anywhere on screen.

23:07

Easter egg is the code. But check this

23:09

out. There's something really cool you

23:10

can do if you go ahead and haptic press

23:12

on your home screen and you go to edit.

23:14

So from here we do have some new options

23:16

like edit wallpaper, you know, and

23:17

things like that. But if you go to

23:18

customize, we have something really

23:20

cool. If you go to the tinted section.

23:22

So if you take a look at my icons, they

23:24

look like they match my iPhone. And

23:25

that's because they do because now this

23:28

built-in feature right here is you can

23:30

tap on this and it will color match your

23:32

icons to the color of your phone. So

23:35

that's pretty cool. But you can take

23:36

this a step further and color match to

23:38

your accessories as well. So, if you

23:40

have an iPhone case and you want to

23:41

customize your icons on your home screen

23:43

to be the same color as your MagSafe

23:45

case from Apple, you can press that

23:47

button right there to change that.

23:49

However, I'm a big fan of changing the

23:51

icons to match the color of the phone. I

23:54

think it looks really good on this color

23:56

right here. You can also change that

23:57

between light, dark, or auto. I think it

24:00

actually looks really good in dark right

24:01

there because it matches the phone a bit

24:03

better. So, I think having a wallpaper

24:05

like this on the home screen is the way

24:06

to go instead of like a person or a pet

24:08

or anything like that. But on the lock

24:10

screen, it's a different story. I think

24:11

that looks really good when you have

24:13

like a significant other, when you have

24:14

yourself, when you have your pet, your

24:16

kids, things like that. And honestly,

24:18

now it looks better than ever on the

24:20

lock screen with the iPhone 17 and iOS

24:22

26 because if you have to press right

24:24

here, we're actually just going to

24:25

create a whole new one and we're going

24:26

to find a good photo with a subject. So,

24:28

let's go into photos. Okay, so we have

24:29

this photo right here, but there's a lot

24:31

we could do with it because right now it

24:32

doesn't look that great honestly on the

24:34

lock screen. So, if we zoom to pinch

24:36

out, like if we pinch out like that and

24:37

kind of zoom out, check this out. You

24:39

can see the time kind of going behind my

24:41

head automatically. And already as I

24:43

start to zoom out, it looks so much

24:45

better. So, we can kind of move it like

24:47

this. So, my head is barely in the time

24:49

right there. But also, we have something

24:51

even better. If we tap this button right

24:53

there, it will generate what's called a

24:55

spatial scene. And what this does is it

24:58

essentially turns your photo into like a

25:00

3D kind of parallax like object. So it

25:03

gives you this really cool 3D effect as

25:06

you move your phone around. So it

25:07

responds to the gyroscope and how you're

25:10

moving your phone to give you an amazing

25:12

little effect here. And you can do this

25:14

when there's a subject. You can really

25:15

do this for any photo, but it really

25:17

stands out when you have a subject in

25:18

the foreground and something in the

25:20

background. Oh, and here's something

25:21

else you really need to do pretty

25:22

quickly as well after getting your

25:24

iPhone 17. And that is customizing the

25:26

control center. So, by default, it looks

25:28

like this. You're missing a ton of good

25:30

toggles, which by the way, you can see

25:31

we do have a redesign here for iOS 26 as

25:34

well. So, basically, what you want to do

25:35

is haptic press right here and go to add

25:37

a control. And then you can add some

25:39

controls in here. So, some that I

25:41

recommend are going to be dark mode, for

25:43

example. So, a quick way to get in and

25:45

out of dark mode is nice. I would also

25:47

strongly recommend the hearing toggle

25:49

right there. So, what that does is

25:51

allows you to get to background sounds.

25:52

So, let me just go ahead and hick press

25:53

on that. It allows you to get to

25:55

background sounds along with live

25:57

listen. So, if you go to background

25:58

sounds, this allows you to play some

26:00

sounds in the background. Like, you

26:01

know, if you like listening to rain at

26:02

night or, you know, fire, boats, any of

26:05

these sounds to fall asleep, you can

26:06

turn those on straight from your control

26:08

center, which is nice. And we have one

26:09

more I want to show you. Low power mode

26:11

is another one I'd highly recommend

26:12

putting into your control center. Of

26:14

course, you can also adjust the size of

26:15

these as well with this little grabber

26:17

right here. So, if you use this grabber,

26:19

you can make these a little bit larger

26:20

if there's one you use more often than

26:23

others. Okay, so let's talk about the

26:24

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max because there

26:26

is a must enable feature for these

26:29

phones and that has to do with the

26:31

camera. So, if you want to take full

26:32

advantage of the camera, you cannot just

26:34

leave it at default. There are multiple

26:36

changes you need to make and I will

26:37

touch on those in a minute. But I think

26:38

the number one thing that you need to

26:40

change is go into your settings, go to

26:42

camera, you're going to scroll down

26:44

until you see formats. go into formats

26:47

and you want to enable Pro Raw and

26:50

resolution control. For some reason,

26:52

that is disabled by default, but you

26:54

want to enable that. And then go into

26:56

Pro Raw format and change the Pro Raw

26:58

format. I prefer JPEG XL lossy. But you

27:02

can choose whichever one you would like.

27:04

And the reason I choose lossi is because

27:06

it's essentially the same quality as

27:08

JPEG lossless, but it takes up

27:10

significantly less space. So, it's going

27:13

to save it as a DNG file. So, it's going

27:15

to be much more efficient with the

27:17

codec, you know, and everything like

27:18

that. So, it's going to be pretty much

27:19

the same quality, but you're going to

27:20

save space when you shoot raw photos,

27:22

which I would recommend if you have a

27:24

pro phone, you should be shooting in raw

27:26

when you're trying to take a good photo.

27:28

So, when you go back to the camera

27:29

application, the way you shoot in RAW is

27:32

tap right here where it shows HIC and

27:34

switch this format to RAW. You want to

27:36

make sure it's at RAW 48 megapixels. And

27:38

then when you take a photo, you'll

27:39

notice that it takes a little bit longer

27:41

to take that photo, but it will take it

27:43

and it will be much easier to manipulate

27:45

when you shoot it in raw format when you

27:47

go to edit it, either in the built-in

27:49

controller or in something like

27:51

Lightroom. And you will also want to go

27:53

up here to photo capture and make sure

27:54

your photo mode is at 24 megapixels.

27:56

It's like that by default, but in case

27:58

you accidentally changed it, you want to

27:59

always have 24 megapixels right there.

28:02

Now, while you're in this section on the

28:03

pros, you want to go to video capture

28:05

and turn Apple ProRes on because just

28:07

like shooting raw for photos, ProRes for

28:10

videos is a gamecher. And also ProRes

28:13

encoding. I would recommend turning that

28:15

to log. Again, that way you have more

28:16

control over the colors. You can

28:18

manipulate the colors a lot easier in

28:20

your editing software of choice. You can

28:22

shoot in HDR if you would like. I just

28:24

think log looks better and allows you to

28:26

really have more control over it. And I

28:28

will tell you right now, ProRes videos

28:30

are night and day better than default

28:32

videos. So again, to do that, go into

28:34

your video right here. Tap up here where

28:36

you have resolution. And you will see an

28:37

option for ProRes up top. You want to

28:40

choose log right there. And you want to

28:42

make sure you're shooting that in 4K.

28:44

And then choose your frame rate. Also,

28:45

you'll notice up top here, it will show

28:47

you how long you have left of recording

28:50

in that format. So for ProRes Log,

28:53

obviously it takes up a ton of space on

28:55

your device. You're only going to have

28:56

limited time. Right now, it shows I have

28:58

48 minutes of recording time available.

29:00

Okay, so since we're on the subject of

29:02

the camera, the next thing you need to

29:03

do is make multiple important camera

29:05

settings changes across the board for

29:08

all iPhone 17s and the iPhone Air. So,

29:11

first off, uh pretty much the most

29:12

important one in my opinion is in the

29:14

camera section right here. Go to record

29:16

video and down to the very bottom of

29:18

record video is lock white balance. For

29:21

some reason, that is so overlooked by a

29:23

lot of people. I would highly recommend

29:25

turning that on. That way, your white

29:27

balance is not all over the place and it

29:29

looks super unprofessional. I think you

29:31

need to lock the white balance in order

29:32

for your video to look professional. And

29:34

then lock camera is another one I would

29:36

recommend turning on. That way your

29:38

phone doesn't switch between cameras

29:40

while you're recording and give you that

29:41

weird stutter effect. You might also

29:43

want to go to record sound and change

29:45

this from spatial audio. So, I think

29:46

spatial audio sounds good, but for some

29:48

people, depending on, you know, what

29:50

they're shooting the video for, they may

29:51

want to shoot that in stereo instead.

29:53

And then also if we scroll down right

29:55

here, we have a brand new section in iOS

29:57

26 called indicator. So this is

29:59

something else you want to do to kind of

30:01

clean up your camera application. So if

30:03

you go into camera by default, you will

30:05

see all these indicators up top. So we

30:07

have our flash, we have the, you know,

30:09

uh, live photos, all of that right there

30:11

up top. But you can hide those now. So

30:14

if I turned off flash and live photos,

30:16

you just saw they were there. Now

30:17

they're gone. And we can access those by

30:19

tapping on this menu. And they will show

30:20

up down here on the menu. But if you

30:22

want to clean up that top part, this is

30:24

where you go ahead and disable some of

30:26

these indicator. So me personally, I

30:28

like removing all of them except for

30:30

dual capture, which is the new feature

30:31

we talked about earlier. And now you can

30:33

see that when I go back, they are all

30:35

gone, except for when I go to video, you

30:36

can see that we have dual capture up

30:38

there up top. And one other thing I

30:40

think you should change is right here

30:41

under camera, we have lens cleaning

30:43

hints. So you might not need to change

30:44

this. It is enabled by default, but just

30:46

know that this exists. So basically, if

30:48

you get smudges all over your camera, if

30:50

you smudge it up, your phone will now

30:51

tell you when you need to clean that

30:53

lens. And of course, despite your

30:55

device, you do need to change record

30:56

video to shoot in 4K. You didn't pay all

30:59

this money to get a camera to shoot in

31:00

1080p. So I'd recommend changing that to

31:02

4K at 30 or 4K 60. And also, I prefer to

31:06

turn off HDR, but you can change that if

31:08

you would like to. And once again, these

31:10

should be enabled. They are disabled by

31:12

default. And if you want to keep your

31:14

settings the same for the next time you

31:15

go in the camera, you should go to

31:16

preserve settings. That way your camera

31:19

basically remembers what you had set. So

31:21

I like turning this on for most of

31:23

these. That way it remembers. Like the

31:25

camera mode, for example, if I go into

31:26

camera and I go to video and then I go

31:29

out of it and then I go back into

31:30

camera, you can see it stays in video.

31:32

But if I had that turned off, that would

31:34

not be the case. And that's kind of, you

31:36

know, the crux of preserve settings. It

31:38

remembers what you did last and keeps

31:39

that enabled or disabled. So go through

31:42

here and determine what you want to

31:43

always be enabled and turn these on. If

31:46

it's like a case by case basis, maybe

31:48

just keep those toggles off. And if you

31:49

have an iPhone 17, at this point you

31:51

need to be shooting in 48 megapixels

31:53

because once again, you didn't pay all

31:54

that money to not shoot in 48 megapixels

31:56

at least some of the time. So what you

31:57

need to do is go into your camera

31:59

settings, go to format, and then go to

32:01

resolution control and turn that on.

32:03

That is disabled by default, which means

32:05

by default you can't even shoot in 48

32:07

megapixels even though you have a 48

32:08

megapixel lens. That's kind of crazy. So

32:10

now if you go into your camera and you

32:12

go up here to HIC, you can change this

32:14

to 48 megapixels. So now you can

32:16

actually shoot a photo in 48 megapixels

32:19

like you have. You know, you can take

32:20

advantage of the full resolution of that

32:22

camera. So I'd recommend doing that. And

32:24

honestly, the photo sizes are not that

32:26

large. So 48 megapixels is just going to

32:28

make your photos look better. Now, the

32:30

next thing you need to do on your iPhone

32:31

17 is understand that we now have faster

32:34

charging. So we can now charge up to 50%

32:37

in just 20 minutes. However, here's the

32:40

catch and here's the thing you need to

32:42

do. You need to have a 40 watt charger

32:45

or higher. So, 40 watts is the minimum

32:47

you can have to enable the fast charging

32:50

from 0 to 50% in just 20 minutes. So, I

32:53

will link some of my favorite 40 watt

32:55

plus chargers down in the description

32:57

below from Amazon. I would not buy one

32:58

from Apple. They're just overpriced and

33:00

it's pretty much the same thing. So, I

33:01

would just get a third party, but just

33:03

know that you can charge now from 0 to

33:05

50% in 20 minutes on the iPhone 17 and

33:08

the iPhone 17 Pro. However, the iPhone

33:11

Air can only charge up to 50% in 30

33:14

minutes, and that's using a 20 watt

33:16

adapter, not a 40 watt. Now, the next

33:17

thing you need to do is change what the

33:19

action button and the camera control

33:21

buttons actually do. So, for example, if

33:23

we go into our settings right here and

33:25

we scroll down, we do have a menu option

33:27

for action button. And what this does is

33:29

it allows you to perform certain actions

33:31

by simply pressing on that action button

33:34

on the side. So if you come from a

33:36

device that didn't have this before,

33:37

this is actually highly useful. It's

33:39

much more useful than camera control in

33:40

my opinion. So some of my favorite ones

33:42

to set this to are the flashlight. That

33:44

way at night you could easily just press

33:45

that button instead of searching on your

33:47

screen for a button to press.

33:48

Flashlight's really good. Also, you can

33:50

go to controls and choose a specific

33:53

control center control to activate when

33:55

you press on the action button. So, one

33:57

of my favorites right here is actually

33:58

setting a reminder. So, now, you know,

34:00

I'm somebody who sets reminders all day

34:02

long. So, if I, you know, press in on my

34:03

action button, it will prompt me to set

34:05

a reminder right there. I can do that.

34:07

Press a check mark. I'm done without

34:08

ever having to go into the application

34:10

or really doing much at all. So, that's

34:12

what I use it for most of the time, but

34:14

you can change it to any controls. You

34:15

can also choose a shortcut or you can

34:17

just have it do nothing, which I think

34:19

is a waste. I think you should change

34:20

this to do something. And then as far as

34:22

camera control goes, I mentioned this

34:23

earlier, but you can go into your camera

34:25

and then into camera control. And right

34:26

here under launch camera, you can change

34:29

what actually launches when you press

34:30

camera control. So you could have it be

34:32

like Snapchat, for example, or

34:33

Instagram. I could have that launch.

34:35

Even if you don't actually use it for

34:37

like, you know, all the gestures and

34:38

everything, if you just want a quick way

34:40

to launch one of your favorite apps, you

34:41

can just press on it right there and

34:42

then it will go ahead and launch an

34:44

application just like so. And it will

34:46

open up right to where you could

34:47

actually post or a story. Now, we're

34:49

going to show the Air some love because

34:50

we haven't really given the Air too much

34:52

love. So, let's talk about this because

34:53

the next thing you need to do is

34:55

understand how to use photographic

34:56

styles. And there's actually a new style

34:58

this year. So, if you go into your

35:00

camera right here and you go into photos

35:02

and you tap on your grid right here, you

35:04

will see that we do have a styles button

35:06

right there. If you tap on that, it will

35:08

show you these different styles that you

35:10

have along with the tone, the color, and

35:12

the palette that you see up top. Now,

35:14

these are fully customizable. So, if you

35:16

go into this square right here, this is

35:18

how you can change the tone and the

35:19

color. So, if you take a look up top,

35:21

this will change the tone and the color

35:23

of that photo. So, let me put it over

35:25

something so you can actually see it

35:26

changing. Uh, so yeah, you can see the

35:28

color and the tone changing right there.

35:30

So, if you have a certain aesthetic, you

35:31

can change this and kind of save it.

35:32

That way, all your photos look the same.

35:34

It can be really nice. And then down

35:36

here at the bottom, we have this little

35:37

slider. That's the intensity. So, that

35:39

will not change the color or the tone,

35:41

but that will change how intense that

35:43

effect is that you have set. And keep in

35:45

mind, you can add this after you take a

35:47

photo as well. So you don't have to have

35:48

this set up right from the get- go. You

35:50

could change this after the fact when

35:52

you go to edit a photo. So if we have it

35:54

how we like, we could just go ahead and

35:56

X out of it, and it will save that.

35:58

However, I did want to show you the new

35:59

one that we have here. So we have cool

36:00

rose, we have neutral, and bright is the

36:03

new one for iOS 26 and the iPhone 17. So

36:06

now we have a new one called bright. Of

36:08

course, it does what the name implies.

36:09

It just makes your photos a little bit

36:10

more bright and you can kind of change,

36:12

you know, the colors and the tone right

36:14

there along with the intensity of the

36:16

new bright photographic style. Now,

36:18

here's something else you need to do on

36:20

your iPhone pretty much right away. And

36:21

this might just be a me thing because I

36:23

have multiple phone numbers and email

36:25

addresses, but you want to remove your

36:27

phone numbers and your emails from

36:29

messages, phone, and FaceTime. That way,

36:32

you're not getting all these different

36:33

notifications from these different

36:34

emails and phone numbers. Maybe it's

36:37

just me, but let me show you what I So,

36:38

if you go into your settings here, we're

36:40

just going to search for messages and go

36:41

into our messages settings. And if I go

36:43

down here under iMessage, we have send

36:45

and receive. So, as you can see, I'm

36:47

able to receive messages from five

36:50

different addresses. I may not want

36:51

that. I may only want people contacting

36:53

me from my phone number. So, if I go

36:55

into there, what you want to do is

36:57

uncheck any of the emails that you might

36:59

have or any of the other additional

37:00

phone numbers you might have and only

37:02

set it to, you know, what you actually

37:04

want to be reached at. So, I don't want

37:06

to be reached at any of these emails. I

37:08

only want to be reached on this phone

37:09

from my phone number. That's it. And

37:11

then in the phone application, it's kind

37:13

of similar. So, if you go into phone and

37:15

then go to calls on other devices, I

37:17

would recommend actually turning this

37:19

off. So, some people might like this,

37:20

but I really do not like getting calls

37:22

on all my devices. Maybe it's cuz I have

37:24

too many devices, but I would recommend

37:26

turning this off if you have more than

37:27

like one device in your room. Otherwise,

37:30

you'll see those calls on your iPad,

37:31

your Mac. Every time you get a phone

37:33

call, it will ring on all those devices.

37:35

So, could be useful if you're maybe, you

37:36

know, always busy or or hard of hearing,

37:38

but for a lot of people, I think you

37:39

should turn that off. And this leads me

37:41

right to the next thing you need to do

37:42

on your iPhone 17, and that is to screen

37:44

unknown callers and select ask reason

37:47

for calling. So, what this does is if

37:49

you receive a call from an unknown

37:51

number, a number that you do not have

37:53

saved, it will be an automated voice

37:55

that asks them why they are calling and

37:57

who they are. That way, you're forced to

37:59

see, you know, who's calling and why.

38:01

and that will show up on your lock

38:03

screen and also in your dynamic island

38:05

before the phone even rings. You'll see

38:07

that notification without the phone

38:09

ringing. And then after they say their

38:10

name and why they're calling, it will go

38:12

through and you now at least know who

38:14

you're going to be talking to. And then

38:15

the final thing you need to do on your

38:17

brand new iPhone 17 is configure your

38:19

screenshot options. Because with iOS 26,

38:22

screenshots are treated much differently

38:24

than they were before in iOS 18 and on

38:27

previous iPhones when you first get it.

38:29

So go into your settings here and we're

38:30

going to go back and we're going to go

38:32

into the general section and you want to

38:34

go down because we have a brand new

38:35

option for screen capture. And in here

38:37

we have multiple options to choose from.

38:39

So we have full screen previews which

38:41

means that when you take a screenshot it

38:43

automatically goes into this full screen

38:45

mode. You can turn that off if you want

38:47

it to go back to the old style. So if

38:48

you turn that off, take a screenshot, it

38:50

goes down there in the bottom left and

38:52

then you tap on it to bring it up to

38:53

full screen. I personally like full

38:55

screen preview so I could easily mark it

38:57

up. And also we have visual lookup now

38:59

on all iPhone 17 models which is an

39:01

Apple intelligence feature which means

39:03

that you could circle something and it

39:05

will automatically search it on Google

39:07

and you could also ask Chat GPT about

39:09

what you see by tapping on this icon

39:11

down in the bottom left. You could ask

39:13

Chat GPT if you maybe have a screenshot

39:15

of a plant of an animal. You can ask

39:18

Chat GPT you know what it is or what you

39:20

should do with a certain screenshot that

39:22

you've taken. All of that right there.

39:24

Also we do have CarPlay screenshots. So,

39:26

if you have CarPlay in your vehicle, you

39:28

might want to turn CarPlay screenshots

39:30

either on or off. If you turn it off,

39:32

that means that when you take a

39:33

screenshot while you're connected to

39:34

CarPlay, it will, you know, only take a

39:36

screenshot of your phone, which is where

39:38

you took the screenshot instead of the

39:40

phone and CarPlay. So, if you turn that

39:42

on, it will continue to take screenshots

39:44

of your CarPlay interface and your

39:45

iPhone every time you take a screenshot,

39:47

which could be kind of annoying. I

39:49

personally keep that off. And then you

39:50

do also have format down here. So you

39:52

can now shoot photos or take photos

39:54

screenshots in HDR. So higher resolution

39:58

screenshots and this also applies to

40:01

screen recording. So if you want to have

40:02

higher resolution screen recordings, you

40:04

should change this to HDR as well. And

40:06

if you want to see more softwarebased

40:08

features to change in iOS 26, I will

40:10

have a video linked down below where I

40:12

showed you the first settings you need

40:13

to change on iOS 26. Those of course

40:16

will apply to the iPhone 17 as well, but

40:18

this video is more specific about the

40:20

iPhone 17. So, I tried to keep it that

40:22

way, but if you want to watch that

40:23

video, it will be linked down below. But

40:25

anyways, guys, those are the first 24

40:27

things that you need to do on your

40:29

iPhone 17, 17 Pro, or iPhone Air. So,

40:33

hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you

40:35

did, give it a thumbs up. Let me know

40:36

your favorite feature of the iPhone 17.

40:39

Also, let me know which iPhone you're

40:40

actually using right now. Are you using

40:41

the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, or the iPhone

40:44

Air? What are your thoughts overall?

40:46

Also, make sure you guys do check out

40:47

Rhino Shield. It does really help

40:49

support the channel when you support the

40:51

sponsors here on the channel. I always

40:53

try to bring you guys really good brands

40:55

as well as sponsors. So, I don't really

40:57

promote brands that I don't actually

40:59

like. So, just keep that in mind. But

41:00

anyways, hope you guys enjoy this video.

41:02

Enjoy your iPhone 17 and I will see you

41:05

very
