You Don't Need 4 Years of College
38 segments
the world isn't all about money, the
world isn't all about success and all
that stuff. And I think there's only
certain moments in your life to have
experiences when you're young and
college is a privilege. And if you can
go do that and have fun at college, go
to a big SEC school, just enjoy life cuz
those memories some say would be
invaluable. But do you need to do it for
4 years? The recommendation that I'm
giving to kids right now is, okay, if
you really want to do college, if that's
something that you're passionate about
cuz you want to have fun and you just
want to be part of that, whether it's
football culture or this culture, go do
it. Have the best 1 year of your life,
okay? But during that 1 year, don't
worry about what grades you get. You got
to pass, obviously. You want to meet the
most ambitious people you can at school.
And your single goal is to go to every
alumni event, engage deeply with the
alumni for that school, meet the adults,
right? Meet your friends' parents, okay?
Who some of them might own businesses.
And if you want to stick around for one
more semester the following year, 1 and
1/2 semester
max. Max, okay? Because let's be honest,
after the first year and a half of
college, it becomes a little less fun
usually. And your job at that point, if
you did it right, is to spend 90 days to
become a top 1% fluid person in the
world of AI. And anybody can do that in
90 days.

The speaker advises young people to prioritize life experiences over traditional four-year college education, suggesting instead to attend for a maximum of one and a half years to network, enjoy the culture, and focus on acquiring modern skills like AI proficiency.
