All right, guys. So, in this video, I'm

0:02

going to go over with you how to

0:03

manipulate the hormones that are going

0:05

to get people low-key questioning your

0:07

natty status. Like, you are literally

0:09

going to look and feel enhanced, but

0:12

this is completely 100% natural. And I'm

0:15

going to go over training, diet, a

0:18

little bit of supplements and biohacks,

0:19

and we'll talk about behaviors as well.

0:22

And I'm going over this stuff just

0:23

because I talked in the last video a lot

0:25

about the hormones that you actually

0:27

want to focus on when it comes to this

0:29

stuff and when it

0:30

>> Anabolic priming, AP 101 is what we're

0:32

going over today.

0:33

Um

0:34

but now that you know which hormones to

0:36

take a look at, and it really just comes

0:38

down to lowering stress hormones or your

0:41

catabolic hormones and priming or

0:43

increasing your reproductive hormones,

0:46

your fertility hormones, or as I say,

0:48

your anabolic hormones. So, again, just

0:51

to reiterate, you basically just need to

0:54

lower the stress hormones, right? So,

0:56

stress needs to go down, and that's

0:59

going to be stuff like cortisol,

1:02

uh prolactin.

1:05

And keep in mind, these these uh

1:07

hormones, they might not be exactly

1:09

stress hormones, but that's what they do

1:11

to the body, and they put a damper on

1:13

your anabolic hormones, the ones that

1:15

are going to be building your body or

1:17

building your metabolism and giving you

1:18

more wiggle room to live your life

1:20

instead of having to be locked in the

1:22

gym like a lab rat, you know, feeding

1:24

yourself sludge and running around on

1:26

your hamster wheel,

1:27

meaning the Stairmaster. But, uh

1:29

cortisol, prolactin, estrogen is the

1:32

other one that you want to take a look

1:34

at. And then another one is going to be

1:36

SHBG. I didn't mention that in the last

1:38

video, but this is a big reason why some

1:41

people will flaunt around their high

1:44

total testosterone numbers. They'll say,

1:46

"Oh, I got 1,200 testosterone. I got

1:47

1,500 testosterone." Stuff like that,

1:50

but they have a low free testosterone.

1:53

And the free testosterone is arguably

1:55

more important than the total number.

1:57

Basically just makes it useless the big

1:59

number if the little number is

2:01

is too low. So, think of this example.

2:04

So, think of your total testosterone as

2:06

like the size of the body of water that

2:10

you are getting water from for your

2:13

village, right? Say that you were back

2:14

in the days in like Africa or something

2:17

and you're carrying your your your pot

2:19

to the to the river to grab water to

2:22

bring back to your village. The size of

2:24

your pot is like how much free

2:26

testosterone you have. So, maybe you

2:27

have a little like you have like a

2:29

little

2:30

a little pot on your head, like a little

2:32

teapot. Or some people have like a giant

2:35

dump truck, a giant water tank that they

2:38

can

2:38

bring water to and from the village from

2:40

the the river to the village. Anyway,

2:42

done with that analogy. These are the

2:44

ones that you want to get rid of.

2:46

Cortisol obviously is something that's

2:49

just going to destroy your life. You

2:50

don't want zero cortisol, that's what

2:52

makes you wake up and you know, get get

2:55

mental clarity so you can go and crush

2:56

it in your career and and make sound

2:58

decisions, right? Prolactin, this is

3:01

something that gets dumped in your brain

3:03

every time that you ejaculate and it

3:04

basically makes you super groggy,

3:06

lethargic, brain fog. You don't really

3:08

know what's going on, you have no mental

3:10

clarity.

3:11

It's got a purpose. We're not really

3:13

sure what it's for in the man's body,

3:15

but it has an inverse relationship with

3:17

dopamine, which is super important for

3:19

your energy, drive, motivation and focus

3:21

and it has an effect on your

3:22

testosterone as well. Estrogen, this is

3:25

just something that gets a little bit

3:27

too out of control if you take

3:28

performance enhancing drugs or you're on

3:30

TRT. A lot of those guys have to take

3:32

estrogen blockers and it's because the

3:34

more testosterone that you have, a

3:36

certain amount of that is going to get

3:37

converted into estrogen through a

3:40

process called aromatase. So, we're

3:41

going to go into what things actually

3:44

block that aromatization of testosterone

3:46

into estrogen in this video and then

3:48

SHBG is something that basically binds

3:50

up your free testosterone and

3:53

lowers the the your ability to actually

3:56

utilize the total testosterone number

3:58

that you got. So, we want to keep that

3:59

in check as well. Now, the anabolic

4:01

hormones that you want to go after

4:03

Um and I always refer to these as the

4:05

reproductive hormones, right?

4:07

Reproductive hormones, test,

4:11

DHT,

4:13

uh we're going to talk about dopamine a

4:16

little bit.

4:18

And I would also say thyroid. And

4:20

there's a bunch of thyroid hormones, but

4:22

we'll mainly just talk about T3.

4:25

Um

4:26

I'm not going to really go into T4 or

4:28

reverse T3 or any of that stuff. But,

4:30

these are the main ones that you want to

4:31

focus on, all right? Like, these are the

4:33

ones that really matter. Like, these are

4:35

the anabolic priming hormones and these

4:38

are like your your little

4:39

hormones. Excuse my French.

4:42

Uh shout out to Louise. Anyway, let's

4:45

let's erase this and we'll start going

4:48

through some of these tips that you guys

4:51

can utilize. So, again, this is really

4:53

going to make a big difference in terms

4:56

of the effort that you're going to have

4:57

to put out. Like, everybody's got to

4:59

train.

5:00

When you want to manipulate your body

5:01

composition, you're going to have to

5:03

have some self-awareness and know like,

5:05

okay, this is the amount of calories

5:06

that I'm consuming and this is how many

5:08

that I'm likely burning. But, you can

5:10

definitely manipulate that metabolism

5:12

higher and higher and higher so that you

5:14

don't have to eat so little food to be

5:16

in a calorie deficit if you're trying to

5:18

get lean. And if you're trying to bulk

5:20

and gain muscle, like say you want to

5:21

build another 10 or 20 lbs on top of

5:23

what you got right now, or maybe it's

5:25

your first 10-20 lbs, who knows? You

5:27

don't want to get fat in that process

5:28

because when you're in a surplus, right?

5:31

Your metabolism is here and you need to

5:33

eat in surplus of that. So, these excess

5:35

of calories go towards muscle growth and

5:38

allow you to, you know, build and repair

5:39

those muscle tissues that we're tearing

5:41

up in the gym. And so, anyway, a little

5:44

bit of the surplus goes to muscle growth

5:46

because muscle growth is kind of slow,

5:48

and there's a point where everything on

5:49

top of that is body fat. So, you want to

5:51

be in this sweet spot and ride that

5:53

surplus up like a wave, and that's how

5:55

you look better and better and better

5:57

week after week after week. And if you

5:59

do all the stuff that I'm going to show

6:00

you in this video, you're just going to

6:01

have way more capacity for that muscle

6:04

growth, and it's going to make sure that

6:06

any effort that you do put in with your

6:08

your workouts, your diet is well worth

6:10

it, right? The worst thing in the world

6:12

is doing all the work and not getting

6:13

the return on the investment that you

6:15

put in. So, let's talk about training.

6:18

So, one big thing that I want to impress

6:21

upon you is going to be reverse pyramid

6:23

training. So, I learned about this from

6:25

Greg O'Gallagher back in like 2017, and

6:28

this changed everything for me. So, a

6:30

lot of people do the standard pyramid

6:32

where, you know, maybe you're doing

6:34

bench press, and you put 135 on the

6:35

bench, and you do 10 reps, and then put

6:38

a 10 on each side, or a 25 on each side,

6:39

you do eight, you put another 10 on, you

6:41

do six, and by the time you get to that

6:43

heaviest set, you're also pre-fatigued

6:45

from the last, and so you can't handle

6:47

the weight as best as you could had you

6:49

done the heavy weight first. And the

6:51

problem with that is not only can you

6:53

not get as many reps as you could have

6:55

gotten if you did it first, uh you're

6:57

also going to be having a tougher time

6:58

handling it, and you can't get a a good

7:00

mind-muscle connection. So, reverse

7:02

pyramid training kind of flips it on its

7:04

head where you do the heavy set first,

7:06

rest another three or four minutes, you

7:08

drop the weight and do a couple more

7:09

reps than you did on your first set, and

7:11

you repeat the same process for your

7:12

third. So, say you did 225 on set one

7:16

for four reps, you drop to 185, you do

7:18

six reps on set two, you drop to 155,

7:21

you do eight reps on set three. That's

7:23

kind of the gist of what reverse pyramid

7:25

training is, and it's going to reduce

7:26

the neural fatigue, which is why we only

7:29

train three days a week as well. So,

7:31

three days a week max,

7:34

and

7:36

um

7:37

this is also something that I learned

7:39

from Greg, but if you look at some of

7:40

the old-school bodybuilders like Mike

7:42

Mentzer used to do like two or three

7:44

days a week, and it was definitely like

7:46

high intensity. I think he was doing

7:48

some crazy like, you know, going all out

7:50

with one set type thing, and that's

7:52

that's great. Personally, I do like two

7:54

to three sets each.

7:55

Um but I also want to talk about like

7:57

which exercises are you going to be

7:58

doing?

7:59

Um one last thing that I'll say is

8:01

definitely rest at least 3 to 4 minutes

8:04

in between each set.

8:06

So, 3 to 4 minutes rest.

8:08

A lot of guys that I know that aren't

8:11

happy with their physiques and they're

8:12

not really happy with their progress,

8:14

they're doing like 60 to 90 seconds

8:16

rest. And so, the problem with that is

8:18

you can't recover. And if you're

8:20

actually going to come in and

8:21

progressively overload your muscles,

8:23

that's probably what I should have had

8:25

on here first, but I think that's kind

8:26

of a given now. Um if you're going to

8:27

progressively overload your muscles and

8:30

add weight or add a rep to each

8:31

individual set the whole workout, you

8:33

can't really do that if you're fatigued

8:35

from the last set. And so, reverse

8:38

pyramid training does that. Three days a

8:40

week will do that, and then three to

8:41

four minutes rest will also do that. And

8:44

there's a couple other things that I do

8:45

with my coaching clients in my program.

8:47

If you're interested in that, there's

8:48

going to be a link down below.

8:49

Um but in any case, these are the ones

8:52

These are the main frameworks that I

8:53

would focus on, and maybe I do like five

8:56

five or six exercises per workout, maybe

8:59

two to three sets each, and we keep it

9:00

moving. Now, which exercises should you

9:03

do? Squat and deadlift are going to be

9:07

the

9:08

uh two healthiest exercises that you can

9:11

do, period. The most anabolic exercises

9:14

on Earth. The reason being that they

9:16

recruit so many different muscle groups,

9:18

and there's there's a certain central

9:20

nervous system stress that gets put on

9:23

your body. And that that creates a very

9:24

potent hormonal response. And if you

9:27

have a a greater hormonal response, it's

9:29

like the testosterone and the DHT

9:31

benefits that come along with these two

9:32

exercises, you are going to be in a

9:34

better position as far as muscle growth

9:37

goes, especially in your upper body. A

9:39

lot of guys who skip leg day, they're

9:41

limiting their upper body growth. And um

9:44

you know, you just want to be

9:45

structurally sound head to toe. You

9:46

don't want to be like a chicken leg

9:48

little guy and not that you need massive

9:50

tree trunks like Ronnie Coleman, but you

9:51

definitely need to train legs just for a

9:53

vitality standpoint, right? And so, the

9:56

other ones that I would mention are

9:57

going to be incline bench,

10:02

incline bench, so you're hitting that

10:04

upper chest cuz that's where everybody's

10:06

um

10:07

that's where everybody is

10:09

uh

10:10

lacking if anything, right? Uh they're

10:13

lacking in the upper upper chest.

10:15

Nobody's lacking in the lower, right?

10:16

Nobody's lacking in the lower.

10:18

Everybody's just focusing on like flat

10:20

bench and a bunch of flies. You want to

10:21

focus on that upper chest because

10:23

incline is going to hit your it's going

10:25

to hit your upper chest, but it's not

10:27

going to neglect your your um

10:30

it's not going to neglect

10:32

your lower chest, right? Whereas flat

10:35

bench will neglect your upper chest, but

10:37

it'll still hit mid and lower. I don't

10:39

want to spend too much time on that. The

10:41

other things that I would mention would

10:42

be weighted dips

10:47

and pull-ups.

10:52

So, weighted calisthenics

10:55

might be one of the greatest things that

10:58

you could do in terms of muscle growth.

11:00

Weighted dips, just getting up to like

11:02

two or three plates for five or five or

11:05

10 reps, that's just going to change

11:07

your chest, your shoulders, and your

11:08

triceps forever. Same deal on on

11:10

weighted pull-ups. Like if you can do

11:12

50% of your body weight, like that's

11:14

that's insane. That pulling strength

11:17

will translate to all your other pulling

11:19

movements. Biceps get stronger, your

11:22

back is obviously going to be in great

11:23

shape, and that's what you want. You

11:24

want the V-shape. So, that's why we're

11:26

doing, you know, upper chest, shoulders,

11:29

and the back so we have the V-taper. The

11:31

shoulder to waist ratio is the number

11:33

one thing that's going to create

11:34

attraction in women. And uh it just

11:37

gives you a more powerful presence. So,

11:38

in terms of training, that's what you

11:40

want to do. It's also the most Like

11:42

think about it. It's the most badass

11:43

exercise. Who Who doesn't feel like the

11:45

man doing weighted dips in the gym,

11:46

right? There's a uh

11:49

uh what's his name?

11:51

I can't even remember. Uh Al No.

11:54

There's It's like somebody Mazadi. I'm

11:57

blanking on this old-school uh this

11:59

old-school like fitness comedic guy. He

12:02

would be like, "Weighted dips ain't

12:04

nothing more alpha than this. You're

12:06

You're basically attaching weight to

12:07

your body from a chain hanging from your

12:10

dick with on an exercise that people

12:12

can't do with the weight hanging from

12:14

their bones." I I can't remember who it

12:16

was. If you remember, put it in the

12:17

comments down below. I'm just blanking.

12:19

Um [snorts] weighted dips and pull-ups.

12:21

The other things I would say are going

12:23

to be

12:24

um

12:25

weighted dips and pull-ups, back

12:27

extensions. Shoutout to Brandon

12:29

Backstrom. Back extensions. When I

12:33

uh herniated a disc in my lower back,

12:36

this really helped. Also, the squats and

12:38

the deadlifts, ironically. Like these

12:40

two right here,

12:42

they really helped with my back pain,

12:44

and they also just really improved my

12:45

overall athleticism. Uh like a a

12:47

deadlift is a hip hinge movement, so is

12:50

a back extension. But if you think about

12:51

it, a squat is also just as much of a

12:54

hip hinge movement as the the the

12:56

deadlift and the back extension. And so,

12:59

you'll be able to jump higher, run

13:00

faster, uh back pain improves, and with

13:03

the back extension, you're you're not

13:04

treating your body like a stiff board.

13:06

You're like, you know, you're you're

13:08

treating your back like a cobra, cuz you

13:10

have all those interspinal muscles going

13:11

in and throughout your vertebrae. So, um

13:14

it's just a great way to bulletproof

13:16

your back, and it's going to make you

13:17

more structurally sound, and it's going

13:19

to improve that posterior chain, which

13:20

will help you uh do better on stuff like

13:23

the squat and the deadlift, but also uh

13:25

rows of some sort. So, definitely rows,

13:28

I mean

13:29

bent over barbell rows is probably the

13:31

most savage way to go about this. I've

13:33

been trying to get into those in the

13:35

last year.

13:36

The other thing I would say is dumbbell

13:38

side lateral raise.

13:40

Let me see. Whoop.

13:42

Where's my eraser? Dumbbell

13:46

side laterals.

13:50

And without going too crazy, I'll just

13:51

say face pulls.

13:54

So,

13:56

dumbbell side lateral is definitely

13:57

important because

13:59

you want to have that shoulder to waist

14:00

ratio. And so, yeah, you want to get

14:02

your body fat percentage down. You don't

14:04

want to build up your obliques too much

14:06

because that'll just widen your waist.

14:08

But, if you do a bunch of lateral

14:09

raises, you're just going to cap the

14:11

delts right there. But, you don't want

14:12

to just be big here and here cuz you're

14:14

going to do plenty of pressing between

14:16

the incline.

14:18

Oh, the other thing that I forgot,

14:19

incline bench

14:21

and close grip.

14:24

Close grip

14:26

flat bench is okay. Right? Because

14:28

you're basically going to

14:30

bias the triceps. And by biasing the

14:32

triceps, they need to get stronger. And

14:35

if they get stronger, they're going to

14:36

get bigger. And by getting bigger,

14:39

stronger triceps, that's not going to

14:40

limit you on stuff like incline bench or

14:42

your weighted dips or your overhead

14:45

press. It's another thing I forgot to

14:46

put in here.

14:48

OHP.

14:49

Um we'll just stick it in here cuz I'm

14:52

running out of space.

14:53

Um

14:55

trying not to give away my whole

14:56

training program. But, that's that's the

14:57

gist of it. You guys see what I post on

14:58

my Instagram if you're not following me

15:00

already. @gear_salem on there.

15:03

Um but, yeah, the the face pulls in

15:05

conjunction with the side laterals, once

15:07

I started doing face pulls in a

15:08

two-to-one ratio with sides,

15:11

uh my shoulder just gets super round. It

15:15

just they blew up. Um my shoulders got

15:17

pulled back. And so, that corrected my

15:19

posture. Makes your back look 10 times

15:21

better. When you're doing uh bench press

15:24

or like incline, even overhead press,

15:25

that's helping you stabilize. But also

15:27

like on incline and close grip, you're

15:29

just digging your rear delts into the

15:30

bench. So, creating a more solid base to

15:32

press off of is only going to help your

15:34

pressing movements. So, that's what I

15:36

would do as far as training goes. If you

15:37

want to go insane as far as like doing

15:40

more things for your anabolic uh you

15:42

know, hormones in the body, you can do

15:44

sprints two to three times a week at the

15:46

very most. I'd probably just keep it at

15:48

one if I'm being real. Uh three days a

15:50

week of training right here. And uh

15:52

let's talk about the diet now. So,

15:54

that's kind of my bread and butter.

15:55

Um anabolic priming seems to be more of

15:58

a diet than it is a workout plan to most

16:00

people that come and see me. I do think

16:02

that all of this is very important. Like

16:04

everything affects everything. And the

16:07

training needs to be locked in in in

16:10

conjunction with the diet, we which

16:13

needs to be uh locked in in conjunction

16:15

and working in unison with these other

16:17

behaviors and lifestyle factors that are

16:20

going on. You know, including your sleep

16:21

and whatnot, too, right? So, let's talk

16:23

about diet.

16:25

Um for the diet, I've always thought,

16:28

"Hey, if I know I need to hit a certain

16:29

amount of protein for the day, let me

16:32

just figure out which food combinations

16:34

add up to that minimum protein, and let

16:37

me structure the rest of my diet around

16:39

that depending on how many calories that

16:41

I have left, right?" So, for me, my

16:43

protein sources have been the gut bucket

16:47

and something I call caveman cereal.

16:52

Caveman cereal.

16:55

Now, if you guys haven't seen my

16:57

Instagram, the gut bucket is basically

17:01

nonfat Greek yogurt, the big tub, the

17:03

thing that has like 80 to 90 g of

17:06

protein inside of it. Icelandic yogurt

17:08

is okay, too. I've actually switched

17:10

over to Siggi's nowadays, which is

17:11

technically 76 g in that uh in the big

17:14

tub. But the key here is that it's high

17:16

protein and it's low calorie. The

17:19

Siggi's is 400 calories total for the

17:21

plain nonfat

17:23

nonfat Icelandic yogurt and it's 76 g of

17:26

protein. These other brands Stonyfield

17:28

or like Fage that I used to use they're

17:30

like 80 to 90 g of protein with 450

17:34

calories. So right there, that just

17:36

completely eviscerates any need for a

17:38

protein powder. You can get rid of all

17:40

your BS protein supplements that have

17:42

all these like additives, preservatives,

17:44

and other you know, polyunsaturated fats

17:46

or

17:47

you know, artificial sugars that are

17:49

going to nuke your test and all your

17:51

other anabolic hormones. Those are

17:52

antagonistic, right? They're going to be

17:54

stressful on your system if anything.

17:56

But Greek yogurt, Icelandic yogurt is

17:59

just a massive protein hack of anything.

18:01

Not necessarily going to be the most

18:03

nutrient dense, but you do get some

18:04

great probiotics in there as well and

18:06

you can just stylize it however you want

18:08

to. So what historically I've done

18:09

because I don't actually like yogurt if

18:11

I'm being honest, I add Ceylon cinnamon

18:14

which will boost your testosterone.

18:17

And it's also a vasodilator which will

18:19

improve your blood flow throughout the

18:21

body. And if your blood is flowing

18:22

better, everything's going to work

18:24

better, right? Now the other thing too

18:25

is since I don't like yogurt, I'm

18:27

throwing mad maple syrup on that. I'm

18:29

like Buddy the Elf with it, right? 100%

18:32

pure organic maple syrup. I'm not

18:34

talking about Aunt Jemima's, Mrs.

18:36

Butterworth, or any of that crap. None

18:38

of this like zero calorie, zero sugar

18:41

maple syrup which is just like a

18:42

chemical concoction made in a lab

18:44

somewhere. Like you don't want any of

18:46

that. Anabolic priming just comes down

18:48

to doing the things that have always

18:50

worked in the right amounts and making

18:52

it practical for yourself, right? That's

18:54

why all this training. Like what does

18:55

this look like? Looks like old school

18:57

bodybuilding, right? Like we're not

19:00

doing any behind the back upside down

19:02

single arm, you know, bicep curl to get

19:05

the the short head activation anymore,

19:07

right? Just get stronger on something

19:09

like you know, barbell curls. Get

19:11

stronger on your weighted chin ups,

19:13

right? If you want big arms, get get

19:15

stronger on close grip. If you want a

19:16

big chest, get bigger on uh get get

19:19

stronger on the weighted dips or the the

19:20

incline bench. You just want to think

19:22

about, "Hey, what which compound lifts

19:24

are going to support this muscle group

19:26

that I'm trying to build up?" And you

19:27

want to think about, "Hey, how's this

19:28

going to affect my hormonal function as

19:31

a whole?" That's why we do squats and

19:32

deadlifts. You know, if you want bigger

19:34

legs, build up your squat. If you want a

19:35

bigger back and a bigger posterior

19:37

chain, build up your deadlift. Bigger

19:39

traps, you know, bigger grip strength,

19:41

no straps, none of that. Like, you don't

19:43

need any straps or anything. But again,

19:45

this is just the stuff that we've always

19:46

done, and it's always worked. So, why

19:49

need to recreate the wheel? Let's just

19:51

manipulate it in a certain way to make

19:53

it fit our modern preferences, right?

19:55

And so, that's what I'm doing here.

19:56

Greek yogurt, that's been around for

19:58

centuries. People have used that for a

19:59

long, long time. I'm just stylizing it

20:01

how I need to to be able to get the

20:03

benefits of it, which are for me, in

20:05

this case, where I'm, you know, taking

20:07

the fat out of it. I'm getting more

20:08

protein. And I can save those calories

20:10

for a meal that I'm actually going to

20:12

enjoy, which comes from the caveman

20:14

cereal for me. The other thing I'll say

20:16

about the gut bucket is you could just

20:17

add a fruit of your choice.

20:19

I have videos about this on my

20:20

Instagram. Historically, I've done

20:22

either bananas or blueberries, but I've

20:24

also used raisins, which are great

20:26

because they have boron. And boron is

20:28

one of the supplements that I'll just

20:30

throw in right here, actually. Boron is

20:33

a

20:34

a micronutrient that, if you take maybe

20:37

like 12 mg daily, you can actually boost

20:40

that free testosterone so you can

20:42

utilize that big total testosterone

20:43

number that you're looking for. But if

20:45

you don't want to supplement with boron,

20:47

you can do stuff like grapes. You could

20:49

do stuff like raisins are going to be

20:51

higher in boron. Also like prunes, I

20:53

think apricots, too.

20:55

Um and anyway, the caveman cereal, um

20:59

all right. So, just to reiterate, nonfat

21:01

yogurt, um

21:03

you could use full fat if you need to,

21:05

right? Nonfat uh Greek yogurt, ideally

21:08

100% grass-fed if possible. If you're

21:10

going to do the full-fat,

21:12

you know, 100% pure maple syrup, Ceylon

21:14

cinnamon, and a fruit of your choice.

21:16

I've also put like cacao shavings on it

21:18

before. Like I've shaved dark chocolate

21:19

into it as well.

21:21

So, that's Let me just put that on here

21:23

before I forget. Dark chocolate, and

21:24

we'll get to that in a moment. Now,

21:26

getting back to the the caveman cereal,

21:29

what is this? Now, if I hit 80 g of

21:31

protein right here, 80 g protein, um

21:34

[snorts]

21:35

I'm trying to think about, okay, how do

21:37

I how do I hit that minimum protein

21:40

requirement that I'm trying to hit,

21:41

right? So, most guys, if you're around

21:43

like 180 lb, you don't really need more

21:46

than 150 or 160 g of protein. You can go

21:49

above that number, but you don't need to

21:50

go to 250 or 300 g, right? So, for me, I

21:54

just thought, hey, how do I eliminate

21:56

protein, but which food combinations

21:58

which which food decisions do I need to

22:00

make in order to hit 160, 180, whatever

22:03

it was, right? Um somewhere in between

22:05

160 and 200 is generally where I am, and

22:08

I'm about 180 lb throughout the year,

22:10

right? So, anyway, 80 g of protein,

22:13

about 76 with the siggies. 80 g of

22:15

protein with this first meal. Caveman

22:18

cereal, that's a pound of 100% grass-fed

22:21

ground beef. I do the 85% lean ground

22:23

beef,

22:25

because I enjoy the fat, and it also It

22:27

doesn't need to be 80/20. Personally, I

22:29

find that just makes a giant mess in the

22:31

pan. And uh that's like a side note,

22:33

because that comes into the

22:34

practicality, right? That comes into

22:36

like That's That's honestly like a fifth

22:38

a fifth column is the practicality of it

22:41

all. With diet, think of it like a Venn

22:43

diagram. Like for me, real quick, Venn

22:45

diagram, like think of these three

22:47

bubbles, and they're they're all

22:49

overlapping.

22:50

So, this first bubble is like

22:53

uh this first bubble is best food for

22:55

your hormonal your hormonal health.

22:58

Hormonal health,

23:00

right?

23:01

This bubble is like food

23:06

you actually like eating.

23:09

Right? And then this bubble right here

23:11

is um

23:13

hit your hits your macros.

23:15

Hits your

23:18

calories or macros.

23:22

So, if you can be in this zone

23:25

majority of the time you're in a good

23:27

spot. But you might veer into one more

23:29

of these, you know, more more than the

23:31

other, right? When I'm out and about

23:32

with friends and family ideally I'm over

23:35

here as often as I can, but I might veer

23:36

into here more than there. Um and if I'm

23:40

going out to eat with friends and

23:41

family, I'm not really thinking about

23:42

macros. Again, I have things that I will

23:45

gravitate towards like I'll always get

23:47

oysters for an appetizer cuz the

23:49

micronutrients. I'll always get

23:51

uh a steak usually. I'll always get

23:54

dessert, you know, shoutout Hormozi,

23:55

never skip dessert. Always get some like

23:57

affogato, which is like vanilla ice

23:59

cream, uh little bit of caffeine, the uh

24:02

they they pour the espresso over top of

24:04

it. It's delicious. It's a coffee ice

24:06

cream, uh real holistic coffee ice

24:08

cream. Or a good piece of cheesecake.

24:10

Cheesecake is anabolic if you make it.

24:12

Um I think there there's this girl named

24:14

Veronica. She's like a Ray Peat girl. Uh

24:17

one of these Ray Peat uh

24:19

uh

24:20

you know, influencers and she has a

24:22

recipe called like Babushka cheesecake

24:24

where cheesecake can actually be super

24:25

healthy for you. I digress. Anyway, this

24:28

is what you want to be thinking about as

24:30

far as diet goes. And for me, this is

24:33

just super simple. You know, you might

24:35

have to make different adjustments if

24:37

you have a family and you got to worry

24:38

about people eating with you or if you

24:40

have a girlfriend or you know, maybe

24:43

maybe you're on the go during the day.

24:45

Right? But the cool thing about this is

24:47

the goop bucket, that's something you

24:48

could take in a cooler with you if you

24:49

absolutely wanted to. If you work from

24:51

home and you don't have a lot of time to

24:52

cook, right? It's just sitting in the

24:54

fridge. The yogurt, the fruit the uh you

24:57

know, the maple syrup, that's all in the

24:58

fridge, cinnamon in the cabinet. You

25:00

just mix it all together, eat it up,

25:01

maybe takes like 10 minutes to get back

25:03

to doing what you're doing. Throw the

25:04

can out. Same deal with this.

25:06

100% grass-fed ground beef, add a cheese

25:09

of your choice. Um I've also been adding

25:11

some fermented pickles in recently, so

25:13

it's kind of like a burger bowl. But

25:14

that's another thing. It's kind of like

25:16

um

25:16

like I'm almost dieting like I'm going

25:18

to Chipotle. I'm just choosing the

25:21

ingredients instead of Chipotle doing

25:23

that for me. So, it's

25:25

uh organic Greek yogurt or like, you

25:27

know, Siggi's or like a company that I

25:29

have vetted myself and I have decided,

25:31

"Okay, this works for my standards." Or

25:33

it's 100% grass-fed organic ground beef,

25:36

right? With raw 100% grass-fed cheese. I

25:40

deal like personally, I like gorgonzola

25:42

cheese, but unless I get uh from

25:44

Miller's BioFarm, they have like 100%

25:45

grass-fed uh goat cheese, I believe,

25:48

that comes raw. They have some raw like

25:50

smoked Colby Jack cheese, too. They have

25:53

all sorts of cool stuff. Check out

25:54

Miller's BioFarm if you haven't. They're

25:56

like a Amish farm from Pennsylvania. Um

25:59

but in any case, all I want to impress

26:00

upon you right now is just make it work

26:03

for you. Whatever you need to do to make

26:06

this stuff taste good, do it, cuz you

26:07

want to hit your macros, you want to eat

26:09

food that you like, but you also got to

26:11

be in my you know, mindful of your

26:13

hormonal health. So, get in the middle

26:15

of these as often as you can, and

26:17

personally, I found the gut bucket and

26:19

the caveman cereal helps me get there.

26:21

Adding a little bit of uh Redmond sea

26:22

salt and some uh grains of paradise

26:25

pepper can be a great way to uh give me

26:28

give me more micronutrients, but also

26:30

improve my testosterone. Grains of

26:31

paradise pepper is anabolic. You heard

26:34

it here first.

26:35

>> [snorts]

26:35

>> Um

26:37

let me see.

26:38

Actually, I think that's a tip that I

26:39

got from Lucas Owen.

26:42

If you guys haven't seen Lucas, check

26:44

him out.

26:46

Um

26:47

I'll actually mention one of his

26:48

supplements right here, too.

26:50

So, PeakT

26:53

is a supplement that Lucas created.

26:56

Lucas is one of my health mentors. He is

26:58

a naturopath and his father was a

27:00

pharmacist. So, he has this really cool

27:02

context for this hormone side of the

27:04

equation and he just released Peak Tea

27:07

recently. I believe it's pine pollen,

27:10

tongkat ali, there is boron in there. I

27:12

believe there's a little bit of zinc,

27:13

too.

27:15

There is I also believe some black

27:18

ginger.

27:20

There's pomegranate peel and cacao,

27:22

which is a in a dark chocolate. That's

27:24

why dark chocolate is good.

27:26

But yeah, Lucas came up with a great

27:28

testosterone blend. I don't normally

27:29

like these, but Lucas is a guy that I

27:32

would actually, you know,

27:34

a chance taking something like that

27:36

from, right? Like you don't want to just

27:37

buy any supplement on the internet. You

27:39

don't want to be buying supplements on

27:41

Amazon. You don't want to be buying them

27:42

from your grocery store. If you're going

27:44

to ingest something every single day,

27:47

put it in your body, like consume it

27:49

once a day every day for months on end,

27:51

you want to really vet the company. So,

27:53

that means you either know the owner of

27:55

the company and they're on top of their

27:57

stuff, they're in the marketing, they're

27:59

all over the place and just like really

28:00

really firm and in their belief in the

28:03

the product that they've created or you

28:06

want to be

28:07

you know, recommended the product by

28:09

somebody that you really admire and

28:10

respect and you trust their judgment,

28:13

right? So, I've gotten plenty of

28:14

recommendations from from Lucas, but

28:16

other people like uh Christopher Walker,

28:18

he created the companies Umzu and

28:21

Monthlies. He's another person that I

28:23

look up to in terms of health. He really

28:24

like red pilled me on all this this

28:26

hormone stuff back in the day and

28:28

there's Eric from Base Supplements, as

28:31

well. So, people like this is is who you

28:33

want to you know,

28:34

is who you want to buy supplements from

28:37

if you're going to be ingesting

28:38

something every single day. And

28:40

make your make your own judgments,

28:41

right? Do your own research,

28:43

but these are some great recommendations

28:44

if you're looking for some companies to

28:46

look into.

28:48

So, let's talk about the dark chocolate.

28:50

So, this is a great source of magnesium

28:53

and copper. So, dark chocolate's going

28:55

to be great not only for testosterone,

28:57

but also your blood flow. There's good

28:58

flavanol flavonoids in there that'll

29:01

help your brain health, but also just

29:03

nitric oxide production in general. So,

29:04

it's a great pre-workout snack.

29:07

I love doing those on the fasting days.

29:10

Orthodox Christian, so we try to refrain

29:13

from animal products on Wednesdays and

29:14

Fridays. And that's like a great hack

29:17

for me just because there's no there's

29:19

no milk inside of it, right? So, another

29:21

thing that I would say is going to be

29:22

pomegranate juice, right? Pomegranate

29:25

juice.

29:28

I don't even know if I spelled that

29:29

right, but pomegranate juice is

29:33

going to be boosting your nitric oxide

29:34

production and it's shown to boost

29:36

testosterone as well. There was a

29:38

two-week study where men and women in a

29:40

controlled study over two weeks took I

29:43

believe 8 oz a day. So, it's like one

29:45

cup of pomegranate juice daily and there

29:47

was an average increase in salivary

29:50

testosterone of about 24%. So, that's

29:52

what I do. I take a cup of pomegranate

29:54

juice daily.

29:56

If you're an OG follower, you might know

29:58

about the Playboy Potion, which is just

30:00

like a concoction of other supplements

30:02

and you know, other things that I've

30:03

I've placed in my diet and I just

30:05

instead of having a bunch of different

30:06

liquids

30:07

different times throughout the day, I

30:09

just combine it into one. So, the

30:10

Playboy Potion is pomegranate juice,

30:13

but it's also apple cider vinegar.

30:15

Couple of splashes of that can improve

30:17

your insulin sensitivity and improve

30:19

your stomach acidity, which will help

30:20

with nutrient partitioning so you can

30:22

shuttle nutrients to different parts of

30:24

the body. It means like protein goes

30:26

where it needs to go, fats, carbs go

30:27

where they need to go and you basically

30:30

absorb the nutrients that you're

30:32

consuming

30:33

at a greater degree. And so, you get

30:35

more bang for your buck and it improves

30:37

your energy, especially if you do it

30:38

twice a day. So, pomegranate juice,

30:41

apple cider vinegar, the other thing I

30:42

threw in there was creatine, which I

30:44

definitely would stick in here. I think

30:46

that's kind of a given now. Creatine

30:48

will improve your testosterone and your

30:51

DHT, your memory as well. It's going to

30:53

improve dopamine, and it improves

30:56

anxiety and depression. So, if you're if

30:58

you're anxious, depressed,

31:00

and you you feel like you, you know, you

31:02

you have any like mood issues or

31:03

anything, doing some creatine might

31:05

really help. Side note, if you ever get

31:07

a really bad night of sleep, megadosing

31:09

creatine can be a great way to

31:12

combat the

31:13

effects of sleep deprivation. And

31:16

so, that's really the only time I've

31:17

been taking it recently. I got to I got

31:19

to get back on the wagon with creatine.

31:21

I was I was off of it for a while just

31:23

cuz I got lazy about,

31:25

you know, adding it to my glass and

31:26

whatnot. But, it's definitely a great

31:28

supplement to have in.

31:29

Um other things that I want to talk

31:31

about are going to be um

31:34

Let's talk about Brazil nuts real quick.

31:36

So, I'm not a big fan of nuts at all.

31:40

But, since I got into the

31:43

uh Orthodox Church on Wednesdays and

31:45

Fridays, I got to figure out what to eat

31:46

because most of my diet has just been

31:47

like, you know, meat, eggs,

31:50

and dairy, like all these animal

31:51

products, right? So, um adding in some

31:53

macadamia nuts has been great, uh and

31:56

some Brazil nuts, too. The The Brazil

31:58

nuts in particular because there's such

32:00

a high selenium content. So, selenium is

32:03

is great for your thyroid as well as

32:06

your testosterone production. And for

32:09

this reason, you only need like three

32:11

three to six Brazil nuts a day. If

32:14

you're a little girl, like if you're if

32:15

you're a a tiny like 100-lb girl,

32:17

probably three is good to go. But, if

32:20

you're you're a guy of like my size or

32:21

greater, you can have like five to six a

32:23

day uh without issue. The The reason

32:26

being that selenium is kind of like

32:27

zinc. So, it in too high of amounts, it

32:30

could be toxic in your body. So, you

32:32

just want to keep that in check.

32:33

Macadamia nuts, you can eat as as of

32:35

those.

32:36

Um but again, the reason I don't like

32:38

nuts in general is just because they're

32:40

usually full of like polyunsaturated

32:42

fats, which is the same reason that seed

32:44

oils are not good. All right? So, seed

32:47

oils coming from uh, you know,

32:49

polyunsaturated fats, poly meaning more

32:51

than one, when you consume these things,

32:54

they're really unstable and there's like

32:55

an extra electron that can't bind to

32:57

anything when it enters your body, which

32:59

creates a free radical. And that free

33:01

radical leads to oxidative stress in the

33:04

body cuz it it can't like pair with

33:06

another electron. And so, it's basically

33:08

just like wreaking havoc until you you

33:10

experience a bunch of uh, you know,

33:12

inflammation. And that's why it's really

33:14

common to feel bloated and disgusting

33:16

after a big bowl of seed oil. So, uh,

33:18

most nuts and including peanuts, which

33:22

aren't even a nut actually, they're a

33:23

legume, they they are higher in

33:25

polyunsaturated fats, but they're also

33:27

full of like anti-nutrients, which will

33:29

strip minerals away from your body. And

33:31

again, if we're doing anabolic priming,

33:33

right? If we're trying to stick to that,

33:35

it's about nurturing your hormonal

33:37

health. And what it comes down to is

33:39

supplying your body with the

33:40

micronutrients that will be the fuel for

33:42

your testosterone, your thyroid, uh,

33:44

your testes, all these things that make

33:46

your metabolism go higher, but also your

33:48

energy, your vitality, your brain power,

33:50

your mental focus. I don't really feel

33:52

good eating a ton of nuts all at once.

33:55

Pause. But anyway, this is just

33:56

something that you probably want to keep

33:59

as a dessert in your diet. Macadamia

34:01

nuts and Brazil nuts are okay though.

34:02

Not that you're going to be eating a

34:03

billion Brazil nuts every single day.

34:06

Um, but just a just a side note about

34:08

that.

34:09

Other thing I want to say is raw uh,

34:12

100% grass-fed dairy.

34:17

Grass-fed

34:19

dairy. And um,

34:22

let's just specify A2.

34:25

So, the reason you want to do A2 above

34:27

all else, not everybody in this um,

34:30

there's a spider, sorry. Not everybody

34:31

in this uh, watching this video is going

34:33

to be able to get raw milk, depending on

34:34

where you're at in the country. Uh,

34:36

that's why I would check out Miller's

34:37

BioFarm. They have the best way to get

34:39

it to your house and they ship it in a

34:40

glass bottle, which is nice, too, if you

34:42

don't want to do plastic, but uh, A2 is

34:44

the milk that we evolved on. So, A1 is a

34:49

different type of, uh, protein gene that

34:52

really isn't isn't like a super modern

34:55

thing. And so, what happened here is

34:57

that the cows, however long ago, uh,

35:00

they got really stressed out and when an

35:02

animal gets stressed out, it mutates.

35:04

Now, when an animal mutates,

35:07

um,

35:08

it, you know, things things change and

35:10

so, it that created the A1 protein gene.

35:14

Now, the tricky part is that

35:17

most people who think that they are

35:19

intolerant to dairy

35:22

are actually just intolerant to this A1,

35:25

uh, casein protein gene, right? So, that

35:29

is a big issue because what do you think

35:32

most of the milk on the shelves in

35:34

stores is? Do you think it's A1 or it's

35:36

A2?

35:37

It's actually A1. So, that's why the

35:39

milk at the store with the red top, big

35:41

gallon, red top, and, um,

35:44

most people think that they're lactose

35:46

intolerant or, you know, anytime they

35:48

try to have a cup of milk, they just

35:49

it all out. You, uh, you want to

35:51

stick to A2 dairy and then ideally it's

35:54

going to be 100% grass-fed. And then if

35:56

you really can, find it raw, that's

35:58

going to be best because it'll actually

36:00

agree with your gut microbiome. There's

36:02

there's live cultures in it and

36:03

probiotics and enzymes that get

36:05

destroyed in the pasteurization process.

36:08

And so, you consuming pasteurized dairy,

36:10

it's kind of like trying to mix, um,

36:12

kind of like trying to mix water and

36:14

oil, right? They'll just they're not

36:15

going to mix and that's why people have,

36:17

you know, bowel problems when they

36:20

consume large amounts of dairy, it's

36:21

because it's pasteurized. But raw milk

36:24

is easier to digest because of this.

36:25

You're also going to get more

36:26

micronutrients and more uh, more the

36:29

proteins don't get destroyed in the

36:31

pasteurization. You're going to be able

36:33

to

36:33

you know ingest all the amino acids that

36:35

are in it.

36:36

Plus I think it tastes better. If I'm

36:38

being real, like the first time I had

36:40

raw milk I was like okay. Just tastes

36:42

like milk, you know? But as time went on

36:45

and I only drank raw milk, I remember

36:47

the first day that I went back to

36:48

pasteurized I was like uh

36:50

this tastes like I don't even what know

36:52

what it tastes like like Elmer's glue.

36:53

It tastes burnt it tastes like it's like

36:56

it's heavy like it's almost like rubber

36:58

in a way. I don't even know how to

36:59

explain it but

37:01

you know universal moment if you've ever

37:02

had raw milk. I don't know if if anybody

37:04

can

37:05

resonate with that put a comment down

37:06

below.

37:08

Now specifically milk is going to be the

37:10

way to go. You want whole milk but again

37:13

if you can get raw Greek yogurt that

37:14

would be great. Kefir is another good

37:17

type of dairy that will really help with

37:19

your gut and I think one thing that I

37:22

forgot about in the other video where I

37:23

was talking about which hormones that

37:25

you want to manipulate is

37:27

I I think with just focusing only on

37:29

those hormones I kind of missed out on

37:32

speaking about how

37:34

you know your gut is something you

37:36

really need to focus on because there is

37:38

such a there is such a relationship

37:40

between your your brain and your gut.

37:42

You know they call it your second brain.

37:44

And

37:45

so anyway you you focusing on the gut

37:49

and focusing on the efficiency of your

37:50

gut will decide how well you're able to

37:54

absorb nutrients and like how well your

37:56

body is going to perform because of said

37:59

nutrients.

38:00

If you're only focused on proteins fats

38:02

and carbs and you're missing out on a

38:03

bunch of micronutrients

38:06

you know and and your gut lining is

38:08

screwed up and

38:10

you know your your your stomach acid is

38:13

like off and different things like that

38:15

you're really going to be shooting

38:16

yourself in the foot because any any

38:19

extra stuff that you do it's not

38:20

necessarily going to hit as hard as if

38:21

your your gut was in check. That's

38:23

another reason why I'll do beef gelatin

38:25

powder, especially on the end of a fast

38:27

like bone broth or beef gelatin can be

38:29

really great to prime the gut lining.

38:31

But, I actually do about 20 g of beef

38:34

gelatin powder daily.

38:36

So, beef gelatin powder.

38:39

I got this tip from I mean, this is like

38:41

a Ray Peat thing, but there's a guy

38:43

named Aesthetic Primal on Instagram. He

38:45

has a lot of cool content. If you

38:47

haven't seen him, check him out.

38:49

But, yeah, 20 20 to 30 g of beef gelatin

38:53

daily can boost your collagen synthesis

38:55

like 200% and especially if you pair it

38:58

with vitamin C, so something like orange

39:00

juice would be great as well, actually.

39:02

O.J. Simpson

39:04

orange juice, we'll just call it orange

39:05

juice for now.

39:07

And ideally, this would be fresh

39:09

squeezed

39:12

or cold pressed.

39:14

Just leave that right there. Now, as far

39:16

as the gelatin goes,

39:18

this is like like beef gelatin powder,

39:21

what I do is I just put two or three

39:22

scoops of my the one that I get, which

39:24

is like 100% bovine collagen powder.

39:26

I'll just put that in a glass and I'll

39:28

pour hot water in. I'll stir it up and

39:31

I'll just consume that every night

39:32

before I go to sleep. Uh side note, it's

39:34

a great source of glycine, which makes

39:37

me knock out like a light every night.

39:38

So, this is a reason that people take

39:40

glycine is for their sleep.

39:42

Um that's like a more processed version

39:45

of a beef gelatin powder. So, think it's

39:47

like, you know, there there's bone

39:48

broth,

39:50

then there's like collagen, then

39:52

there's, you know, glycine, but up here

39:54

is like beef gelatin powder. It's just,

39:56

you know, we don't really eat nose to

39:58

tail anymore. We used to We used to

40:00

slaughter an animal back in the day,

40:03

um

40:03

and, you know,

40:05

you would basically eat everything. You

40:06

wouldn't just eat the muscle meat, you

40:08

would eat the cartilage, the connective

40:10

tissue,

40:11

um you know, you would probably eat some

40:13

of the bone marrow and different things

40:15

like that. All these gelatinous foods,

40:17

collagenous foods. And [snorts]

40:19

uh you know, we we don't necessarily

40:21

soup max like we used to either. So,

40:23

with that said, a great way to to um you

40:26

know, kind of combat that is with beef

40:27

gelatin powder. And

40:30

yeah, the this will help with your your

40:31

skin, your hair, and your nails, but

40:33

it'll also just make sure that your gut

40:35

is in check. It'll prevent leaky gut.

40:38

And your gut is going to be set up to

40:40

absorb all this other diet stuff that

40:42

we're doing, right?

40:43

Um

40:44

What are some other things that I'm not

40:45

thinking of right now?

40:47

Um

40:49

Honey. So, raw unfiltered honey

40:53

is another one.

40:55

I'm also going to put bee pollen up here

40:57

in the supplement area.

40:59

Hold on.

41:01

Almost wrote out pollen.

41:03

I'm having an aneurysm.

41:06

Bee pollen.

41:08

So, if you don't know what bee pollen

41:09

is,

41:10

um

41:11

this is something that I take as a

41:14

multivitamin. So, it kind of looks like

41:16

it it honestly looks like fish food.

41:19

Um it's just like a bunch of little like

41:20

golden pebbles. And what you want to do,

41:23

personally what I do is I just take a

41:25

scoop to the dome daily. There's a

41:26

couple different ways that you can

41:27

prepare this. You can either put it in a

41:29

tea, you could put it on your yogurt or

41:31

your ice cream. Um

41:34

Sasha Waiman used to say it's like

41:36

healthy sprinkles in a way. So, it's a

41:38

good way of putting it.

41:39

Um or you could make bee bread. So, bee

41:42

bread

41:43

and I'll just put that right here.

41:45

Or bee bread.

41:47

So, bee bread is

41:49

the combination of bee pollen and raw

41:53

honey.

41:54

So, raw honey is good because,

41:56

especially if you have it before bed,

41:58

uh it'll make sure that your your liver

42:00

glycogen doesn't run out overnight,

42:02

which can help you sleep longer and

42:04

stave off that cortisol spike that wakes

42:06

you up in the morning. Uh but it can

42:08

also boost your luteinizing hormone,

42:10

which will uh you know, help with your

42:13

Leydig cells in your testes helping you

42:15

produce more testosterone. So, bee

42:17

pollen as well is great because it's

42:20

packed full of micronutrients.

42:22

Uh you know, copper, magnesium, I

42:24

believe there's manganese in there,

42:26

zinc. Uh there's all sorts of

42:28

micronutrients and it'll block the

42:31

aromatization of testosterone into

42:33

estrogen, which is another key reason I

42:35

take it. Um and another thing is it also

42:38

blocks histamine, which is responsible

42:40

for allergy symptoms. So, if you're

42:42

somebody that gets like the sniffles or

42:43

you get allergies in different times of

42:45

the year, bee pollen from a local farm,

42:47

a local apiary or bee farm might be a

42:49

great way to uh you know, fix that and

42:52

nip it in the bud, right? So, uh bee

42:54

bread is basically where you just

42:57

ferment bee pollen inside of some honey.

43:00

And what happens is when you ferment the

43:02

bee pollen inside the honey, it becomes

43:04

more bioavailable and you can access

43:06

more micronutrients and proteins that

43:08

are within the the bee pollen. And it

43:11

tastes like caramely, chocolatey, it's

43:13

kind of like peanut butter in a way. Uh

43:15

taking a scoop to the dome daily is a

43:17

great way to start the day. You could

43:19

take it at night, but again, it's like

43:20

the consistency of peanut butter. It's

43:22

going to get like really hard, so doing

43:23

that right before bed can kind of feel

43:25

weird in your your esophagus.

43:27

Um

43:29

some other supplements I really want to

43:30

recommend are going to be stuff like

43:31

shilajit. This is something I've

43:33

basically taken every day for the last

43:35

like 2 years.

43:36

Um this is like a black sticky substance

43:39

that is

43:40

uh it's like it looks like tar in a way

43:43

and it it comes from mountainscapes in

43:45

your like the Himalayas and stuff. It's

43:47

pretty much the it's basically the um

43:50

the result of condensation

43:53

from decomposing plant matter over the

43:55

course of centuries. And so, it's like

43:58

packed full of minerals. And so, what it

44:01

does is it remineralizes your body, but

44:03

it's also got this compound inside of

44:05

got to call, my bad. Uh so, the fulvic

44:08

acid is the compound that basically will

44:10

uh detoxify your body and pull out like

44:12

heavy metals and different stuff like

44:13

that, which is pretty cool.

44:15

Um so, shilajit is great. I usually stir

44:17

it in my black coffee every morning

44:19

because it's pretty bitter. You can take

44:21

it by itself in like some hot water. You

44:23

can even put it under your tongue.

44:24

Personally, I'm drinking black coffee

44:26

every morning unless I put like raw milk

44:28

or maple syrup in it. Uh so, since my

44:30

black coffee's already bitter, just

44:31

stirring it in that is going to make it

44:33

a little bit more bitter. So, it kind of

44:35

makes sense for me. Um another one that

44:37

I would mention is going to be pine

44:38

pollen. These are two that you can also

44:40

get from Based Supplements. And uh this

44:42

is also inside of Peak Tea, which is

44:44

pretty cool. But, pine pollen,

44:46

especially the tincture, is going to be

44:48

the most potent. And uh this is like a

44:50

natural source of DHEA.

44:53

Um and the the uh you know, the the

44:55

molecular makeup of pine pollen actually

44:58

resembles testosterone. So, it's like a

45:00

natural source of testosterone. And

45:02

it'll boost your energy, your vitality,

45:04

um it'll give you more focus. Uh

45:06

definitely improve testosterone levels

45:08

as well. And just doing a little bit

45:10

under your tongue in the morning or

45:12

before bed can be really great way to

45:14

improve your your testosterone, right?

45:16

Um so, both of these I get from Based

45:18

Supplements. Another one that a lot of

45:20

people like is going to be tongkat ali.

45:22

Now,

45:23

um

45:25

this one can get a little bit rough

45:27

because it makes your energy and your

45:30

your libido and your blood flow go up.

45:32

And some people will experience,

45:35

especially if they're taking too much,

45:36

they'll get a little bit irritable. So,

45:38

Peak Tea actually has a small uh dose of

45:40

this, which is pretty cool. But, um

45:42

yeah, if it's a little bit too irritable

45:44

for you, you might you might be better

45:45

off with something like black ginger, uh

45:48

which funny enough is also in Peak Tea.

45:49

But, um yeah, both of those will improve

45:52

blood flow and energy performance, so

45:54

you can crush it in the gym, but you're

45:55

also just going to be having uh more

45:57

more of a, you know, commanding and um

46:01

you know, powerful presence and like

46:03

aura so to speak I guess. Uh so, Um

46:06

Now, one of the thing that I want to

46:07

mention also is going to be ice cream.

46:09

So, especially if you can do raw ice

46:11

cream. Now, this might be kind of crazy

46:14

coming out of my mouth, but

46:17

ice cream is actually healthier than

46:18

salad in my opinion. All right, I'm

46:20

going to make a video on Instagram on

46:22

this in a in a little bit because a lot

46:23

of people roasted me when I made that

46:25

initial video a couple of years ago.

46:27

Um but the uh the reason that I say ice

46:30

cream is better than than salad is just

46:32

because it's got, you know, cholesterol.

46:35

It's got micronutrients that are in the

46:37

egg yolks. Like think about what ice

46:38

cream really is. We're not talking about

46:39

Friendly's, we're not talking about

46:41

Dairy Queen, we're not talking about any

46:42

of that crap that you would find, you

46:44

know, down the strip, right? We're

46:46

talking about uh cream, egg yolks,

46:49

vanilla extract, maybe cane sugar or

46:51

maple syrup, and that's it, right? Cream

46:53

and skim milk maybe. That that should be

46:55

the ingredients in your ice cream.

46:57

Simple ingredient foods, single

46:59

ingredient foods, or simple ingredient

47:01

foods are going to be the best way to

47:02

improve your hormone function so that

47:04

you can actually, you know, enjoy the

47:07

the uh you know, the natural state of

47:09

health that we're meant to have, right?

47:11

All this stuff is God-given. None of

47:13

this is like stuff that you're finding

47:14

out. This is stuff that's naturally

47:16

available to you. All this stuff here,

47:18

like think about it, it's all stuff

47:19

that's been around for millennia, like

47:21

thousands of years. This stuff is thing

47:24

like pine pollen, shilajit, um

47:27

you know, any of this stuff it bee

47:28

pollen, uh like the other one I wanted

47:31

to mention, bee pollen, bee bread, and

47:33

then there's also royal jelly. Like this

47:35

is stuff that Nefertiti and Cleopatra

47:38

used to use, stuff the Egyptians used to

47:40

use. Thousands of years, we don't need

47:43

to recreate the wheel. Again and again

47:44

I'll hear people talk about, oh there's

47:46

this new supplement and whatever. Now,

47:48

Lucas's thing is more of a blend of all

47:50

these things which have always been

47:51

around, which is cool, um but generally

47:53

simplicity is it is going to be the key.

47:56

Like simpli- simplicity wins all the

47:58

time, and that's kind of what I'm doing

47:59

here. It's like, you don't need to do a

48:01

wild out-of-control workout plan that

48:02

changes every single week. You just need

48:04

to get stronger on these movements that

48:06

predict greater, uh, you know, physique

48:09

development and aesthetics that you're

48:11

going after, right? Same deal with the

48:12

diet. Just figure out what works for

48:14

you, and figure out which amounts that

48:16

you need to move in the direction of

48:17

your goals, and make it make it

48:19

practical, but also ideally have it in a

48:21

way that it's going to be best for your

48:22

your hormonal health, because that's

48:24

going to help you feel better. And if

48:26

you feel better, and you look better,

48:27

and it's helping you reach your goals,

48:29

right? And it tastes good, why would you

48:31

not want to keep eating that? It

48:32

develops a positive feedback loop, which

48:34

is what all of this is going to set you

48:35

up to do. And some of the other things

48:37

that I want to, uh, just really impress

48:39

upon you is going to be, uh, living a

48:41

purposeful life, right? So, one of those

48:43

things might include quitting your job.

48:46

Now, I don't want you to put your your

48:49

financial [snorts] status,

48:51

um,

48:52

quitting your

48:54

job.

48:55

I don't want you to put your financial

48:57

status in jeopardy. So, that's not what

48:59

this video is about. All I'm saying is

49:02

this is your life.

49:04

This is your life. The time that you

49:06

spend between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00, 9:00

49:10

and 5:00, like, or whatever you whatever

49:12

your shift is like, or whatever your

49:14

career is, this is your life. This is

49:17

going to be most of your life, if

49:18

anything. And if you have some sort of

49:21

a, you know, a, uh, problem with that,

49:25

or or internally you are you are not

49:28

happy, or or something's wrong, or it's

49:30

like irking you every single day,

49:31

there's things that we're going to have

49:32

to deal with that are not that are not

49:34

going to be, you know, in alignment or

49:36

convenient for us, right? But not

49:38

everything that's convenient is uh, you

49:41

know, not everything that's convenient

49:42

is worth it, and vice versa. Some of the

49:44

things that are worth it are going to be

49:46

inconvenient. So, I would think about,

49:48

hey, instead of what's convenient, you

49:50

know, me probably just sticking to the

49:52

motions, staying staying in the momentum

49:54

that I'm

49:55

you know, on pace with right now. How

49:57

can I correct course to live the life

50:00

that God, you know,

50:02

had in mind for me? What is God's will

50:03

for me? That's what you should always be

50:05

thinking. And you kind of know it deep

50:07

down. Like we all know what we should be

50:09

doing and what we shouldn't be doing.

50:10

You instinctually know, I would I would

50:13

argue. And that's kind of what this

50:14

whole thing is, too. It's like peak

50:16

health

50:17

like peak health is instinctual. It's

50:20

not about, you know, getting on your

50:22

hamster wheel and beating the crap out

50:23

of your body and really underfeeding

50:25

yourself all the time. It's not about

50:26

eating food that you hate, the chicken

50:28

breast and veggie diet. It's not about

50:29

doing these brutal workouts and like,

50:31

you know,

50:32

consuming all these these you know,

50:35

synthetic supplements and and doing all

50:37

these things that everybody else is

50:38

telling me that I should want to do.

50:40

It's like what what do I actually like

50:41

doing? There's got to be a happy medium.

50:43

And

50:45

a lot of this comes down to you just

50:46

changing what feels rewarding in the

50:48

short term. And

50:50

kind of calming down the nerves, which

50:52

is a big part of lowering the stress so

50:54

that your fertility hormones can rise

50:56

and then you can think straight and make

50:58

better decisions, like quitting your job

51:01

or, you know, in the grand scheme of

51:03

things it would be living a purposeful

51:04

life. And I think there's one other

51:07

quote that I usually like to to share

51:08

with people.

51:10

And

51:11

I'm just going to say

51:16

kill your father.

51:18

Actually shouldn't have had this

51:19

capitalized.

51:21

Um

51:22

Now, what do I mean by kill your father?

51:24

I don't know how old you are. You might

51:27

be in your 30s, 40s, maybe you're 18,

51:30

who knows. Your your dad might not be

51:32

dead.

51:33

I'm not telling you to kill your father,

51:34

obviously.

51:35

What I am telling you is you need to let

51:40

his plans for you fall to the

51:42

background. You if you are living in

51:44

your father's shadow or you are it

51:46

doesn't even have to be your father.

51:47

Could be somebody else that you are

51:49

trying to walk on eggshells around.

51:52

You're trying to like live the life that

51:53

they had planned for you instead of like

51:55

going after your purpose, quitting your

51:57

job. Like a lot of people are working

51:59

their job because their dad set it up

52:01

for them. I'm not saying that All right,

52:03

my phone is on do not disturb now, but

52:05

anyway, I'm not saying that you

52:07

shouldn't want to build an empire with

52:08

your family, right? And you guys can't

52:10

have similar goals, but what I am saying

52:13

is if you feel like your family or

52:15

somebody like usually it's your dad is

52:17

is leading you in a in a direction that

52:19

you don't want to go and you

52:20

instinctually know is wrong for you

52:23

based on what God's will is for you or

52:24

what you really want to do with your

52:25

life, right? You got to you got to

52:28

basically just address that. You have to

52:30

either talk to them or you have to have

52:31

a long think about what actually needs

52:34

to occur for you to like get rid of this

52:36

feeling. So this this internal this

52:39

internal discrepancy or this internal um

52:41

you know, this sticking point this this

52:44

resistance that you feel inside of you,

52:46

that will manifest physical symptoms.

52:50

Stress in your like your cortisol, it's

52:53

not just about like removing toxins and

52:55

stuff. Like you want to be really

52:57

careful about what you consume every

52:59

day, not only in your mouth or what

53:00

you're drinking or what you're

53:02

uh you know, what what you're seeing,

53:03

but also what you're hearing and what

53:05

you're living at the end of the day. You

53:07

want to be really careful about your

53:09

your surroundings and the people in your

53:11

environment. That's why I have another

53:13

video about, you know, move away from

53:15

active volcanoes, right? You don't owe

53:17

anybody your sanity. You don't owe

53:19

anybody anything. Really all we need to

53:21

do is love God and love each other and

53:23

whatever that means for us will depend

53:25

on, you know, God's will or what we

53:27

would need to do for ourselves. Uh

53:29

whatever your purpose in this world is,

53:31

you need to follow that regardless of

53:33

anybody else's wishes for you. So it

53:36

doesn't have to be your dad, it could be

53:37

your mom, it could be a friend, it could

53:39

be your girl, it could be anybody,

53:41

right? It could be somebody that you

53:42

really admire and respect that you just

53:44

don't want to look down on you. You

53:45

don't want to You don't want to upset

53:47

them or whatever else, right? It doesn't

53:49

matter. You got to basically kill their

53:51

desires in your mind and stop living for

53:53

other people. Live for yourself and

53:55

that's going to free up a whole lot of

53:57

room for you to, you know, experience

53:59

greater and greater levels of

54:01

testosterone or whatnot.

54:03

And this other concept that I want to

54:05

talk about is, you know, in one of the

54:07

last videos I mentioned,

54:09

um,

54:10

you know,

54:11

assume it's you.

54:14

So,

54:17

what do I mean by this?

54:19

One of my mentors used to say, "If I

54:21

walk into a room

54:22

and I can't tell who's in charge, I just

54:25

assume it's me."

54:27

And if you can adopt this mindset,

54:29

you're going to be in great shape as far

54:31

as your your psychology and your your

54:33

hormone function goes because your

54:36

mindset and your beliefs will affect

54:39

your biology. All right? Your body is

54:41

going to reflect whatever you expect and

54:43

also what your your feeling internally.

54:45

We need to We need to transform from the

54:47

inside out. That's what all of this is

54:49

about. There is a certain physiological

54:52

aspect to it where we're trying to, you

54:53

know, feed ourselves and train ourselves

54:55

the right way and, you know, add

54:56

supplements and biohacks too. But, um,

54:59

you know, there there's also behaviors

55:01

and assuming that you are the one in

55:03

charge or or, you know, looking for more

55:05

and more responsibility in the world is

55:07

going to be key in you stepping in to

55:10

that greater man that you're trying to

55:11

become, okay? There there is studies

55:13

they've shown on like chimps where, you

55:16

know, when when

55:18

a chimp becomes the alpha chimp, his

55:20

testosterone boosts like a certain crazy

55:23

percentage higher. And it's just because

55:25

that that status really does affect his

55:28

mindset and assuming that responsibility

55:31

and that that sort of, uh, you know,

55:33

that that responsibility and that that,

55:35

uh, title will will really affect your

55:37

physiology and it changes your behavior

55:39

and it makes everything else fall into

55:41

place, right? Um

55:43

Now, couple other things which I don't

55:46

really feel like I need to write on the

55:47

whiteboard is just going to be about

55:48

sleeping. So, sleeping every night in a

55:51

cold pitch black room, you know, lights

55:54

off, putting putting tape over that red

55:56

that red light on the corner of your TV,

55:59

you know, making sure there's nothing

56:00

shining through the crack under your

56:02

door, keeping your phone away from your

56:04

head, keeping any plugs or sockets away

56:07

from your head. All that stuff is just

56:09

frying your brain at night. Now, walking

56:10

around your with your phone in your

56:12

pocket is another great way to uh you

56:14

know, keep you you from uh frying your

56:16

balls on a day-to-day basis, but you

56:18

definitely do it pretty much every night

56:20

sometimes. Like I I

56:22

uh my my

56:24

uh one of my old girlfriends used to

56:25

sleep with her phone under her pillow.

56:28

Her phone was under her pillow every

56:30

night just frying her brain. That the

56:32

like these these EMFs are like this

56:34

whole other

56:36

uh genre of things that we need to be

56:37

aware of regarding our health because

56:39

there's like okay, what we can see and

56:41

then there's what we are not even aware

56:43

of. So, I'm just trying to get you guys

56:45

problem aware and I don't want you guys

56:47

to be like super over the top like

56:49

obsessed with this stuff. I don't want

56:51

you to develop orthorexia. Uh we still

56:53

want to make sure that we are living and

56:55

being and living a purposeful life and

56:57

focusing on the things that actually

56:58

matter, which is the whole reason that

57:00

I'm showing you all this stuff because

57:01

if you could just

57:03

get this, you know, checked off, you got

57:06

the physique, you got the energy, you

57:07

got the mental clarity, you can see and

57:09

and think and do what you need to do on

57:11

a given basis so that you can actually

57:13

be more and do more for the people

57:14

around you, what more could you ask for?

57:17

What more does it like what does it

57:19

matter what amount of macros that you're

57:21

you're consuming on a day-to-day basis

57:23

if you have your physique and you're

57:24

burning a ton of calories, you're you're

57:26

just going off your own intuition and

57:27

you're living your life. I want you to

57:29

get not focused on this stuff, but I

57:31

want you to do the right things. I had a

57:32

coaching client who said it awesome one

57:34

time. Uh and I mentioned this before. He

57:36

said, "I don't really care about any of

57:38

this stuff. I just want to nail it so I

57:40

can move on." And that's kind of the

57:42

key, and that's what I want you to do

57:43

for yourself. So, this has been a super

57:45

long video.

57:47

Um and uh I got a phone call. I got to I

57:49

got to give somebody a call back. But,

57:51

um yeah, if you enjoyed the video,

57:53

please like and subscribe. And um yeah,

57:56

if you want to work together, there's a

57:57

link in the description. Otherwise, I'll

57:59

catch you guys in one. Peace.
