If I walk into a room and I can't tell

0:02

who's in charge, I assume it's me. This

0:06

is probably the most motivating

0:09

statement that I ever heard from one of

0:11

my mentors probably five or six years

0:14

ago. And I think it's so true because

0:16

everybody's always looking for what

0:19

somebody else is going to do. They're

0:20

waiting for somebody else to step up and

0:23

take charge of the situation. You'll

0:25

hear people say stuff like, "You know

0:27

what they should do? you know, you know,

0:29

I can't believe they haven't done this

0:31

yet. I can't believe they let that

0:33

happen. Who's going to do something

0:35

about this? And they never they never

0:38

just assume that it's them that should

0:40

take charge, that it's them that should

0:42

be the catalyst in this situation. You

0:44

know, it could go for your health, it

0:46

could go for a job situation, it could

0:48

go for changing your community, it could

0:51

go for just espousing ideas, right?

0:54

There's plenty of uh political

0:56

volatility going on right now, as you

0:58

could say, and plenty of people are just

1:02

cool with keeping their thoughts

1:03

themselves and letting all this garbage

1:06

fester around in the ecosystem and

1:08

whatnot. But same deal, like everybody's

1:11

as far as health goes, everybody's

1:13

always talking about, I can't believe

1:14

that they allow this to be in the food.

1:16

I can't believe that this is the water

1:19

that they're giving us. Everything that

1:22

you need is available somewhere as far

1:26

as you know choosing the most anabolic

1:28

foods. Everything that's going to

1:30

supercharge your hormonal function so

1:32

you can transform from the inside out.

1:34

It's available. You just have to think

1:37

two steps ahead. You just have to think

1:39

for yourself a little bit instead of

1:41

being uh you know instead of just

1:42

accepting what you're handed what

1:44

they're handing to the masses rather

1:46

handing to the people that aren't going

1:48

to think for themselves. And that's what

1:50

I want to impress upon you in this video

1:52

is to just think for yourself, right?

1:55

Instead of thinking, okay, who's going

1:57

to step up and do this? Assume that it's

1:59

you. Nobody is going to take charge in

2:02

in a lot of situations, right? Like

2:04

everybody's going to wait around until

2:06

something happens. But sometimes you

2:08

just got to be able to see the

2:09

opportunity as it stands in front of

2:12

you. And this this goes into what I

2:14

would like to call um and and what I've

2:16

I've really tried to embody in my life

2:18

as uh extreme ownership. There's a book

2:21

by Jaco Willink which goes into this in

2:24

depth which I highly recommend that you

2:25

you read and or get the audio book. I

2:29

first read this and and listened to it

2:30

when I was in uh insurance sales back in

2:33

I believe 2020 is when I would listen to

2:36

this book specifically. Um, and it's

2:38

it's something that's been used in

2:39

different sales organizations, but also

2:42

uh when I was down in St. Louis, uh,

2:44

back in May with the Modern Exodus, that

2:47

was one of the main books that they

2:48

recommend to everybody in their staff at

2:50

First Form, First Form headquarters down

2:52

in St. Louis. Andy Fcella is a beast and

2:55

he's one of the people that really tries

2:57

to live by this concept of extreme

2:59

ownership. And that's not necessarily

3:03

just taking charge, but also taking

3:06

accountability when it's not even fair,

3:09

okay? Cuz a lot of the stuff that that

3:12

goes on regarding health, right? A lot

3:14

of the stuff that we have available to

3:15

us today, it's kind of unfair that these

3:19

are the choices that we have to eat in

3:21

terms of food versus like, you know, 100

3:23

years ago, it was all organic, holistic,

3:26

like, you know, grass-fed. It wasn't

3:28

processed. There wasn't a bunch of seed

3:30

oils pumped into it. You know, it

3:32

wasn't, you know, cooked and and baked

3:34

with like microwaves and all these

3:36

different EMFs. There's all sorts of

3:38

different tangents I could go on right

3:39

now. And it just is kind of unfortunate

3:42

and unfair that we have to think a

3:44

little bit harder and pay extra money so

3:47

that we don't have poison in our food.

3:49

That's honestly a truth bomb if you

3:51

think about it. But though it is not

3:54

fair, that doesn't matter. What good is

3:58

it going to do for you? Just talking

4:01

about how unfair it is. That's like the

4:04

epitome of the victim mindset is just

4:05

whining about it. Whining without any uh

4:09

intention of going after it and like

4:11

tackling the the problem, right? And and

4:14

trying to advance the situation to

4:15

something bigger, better that you would

4:17

actually uh en enjoy, right? So though

4:20

it is unfair, who cares? Okay. extreme

4:24

ownership like in this book um you know

4:27

by Jaco Willink he talks about in

4:29

different uh you know missions and

4:33

whatnot in the I believe it was the the

4:35

Navy Seals um they basically had to

4:39

accept ex accept accountability for

4:43

messups and screw-ups that weren't even

4:46

their fault, right? Like if you're at

4:47

the top of the chain of command and

4:49

somebody else on your team screws up, is

4:52

it their fault or is it your fault?

4:55

Right now, you could very well say that

4:57

it is their fault. Like, I did all this

4:59

different stuff and they still screwed

5:01

up. But what good does that do to you?

5:04

Because you really can't take control

5:06

over your life until you take

5:08

accountability for everything that

5:10

happens in your life and exactly where

5:12

you are today. You can't be talking

5:14

about, oh, I'm in this position because

5:15

of this, this, or that. It's all because

5:18

of you. All right? Assume that it's you

5:22

that got you to this place. Because if

5:24

it's not you that got you to this place,

5:27

then what's going on? Are you just at

5:28

the whim of the world? Are you ever

5:31

going to have control over your health

5:32

or your your career, your family, right?

5:36

Like your your social circle? Are you

5:38

ever going to have control over any of

5:39

that stuff if it's not really your your

5:42

um you know your fault per se? And just

5:47

accept that it is your fault, right?

5:50

Like you have the job you do because of

5:52

the decisions you made prior to this and

5:56

don't be thinking about, okay, I got

5:57

fired from the situation where it wasn't

5:59

actually fair. Like there probably was a

6:01

way to prevent that. even things that

6:03

did work out for you. Um, that arguably

6:07

is your fault as well. Like all the

6:10

successes in your world, in your life,

6:12

you can take accountability for those

6:14

and get pumped up by those, right? But

6:16

you also have to take accountability for

6:18

all the failures because that's just

6:21

kind of the balance of life, right? Like

6:23

things are going to work out and things

6:24

are not going to work out. But that

6:26

doesn't change the mindset and that

6:27

doesn't change the plan of attack. You

6:29

should always be looking to take control

6:31

of the situation and accept

6:33

accountability for where you are.

6:36

Because if you're not, then you're just

6:38

going to be one of these people that's

6:40

complaining about the government, right?

6:42

You're you're complaining about women.

6:44

You're complaining about how how this

6:46

little girl hurt you so bad, how the

6:49

government, you know, is is is

6:53

infringing on your freedom and all this

6:55

different stuff. You can take care of

6:57

yourself. Okay? It's not anybody else's

7:00

fault, but your own the the uh

7:04

discomfort that you're experiencing in

7:05

life right now. You may have not wanted

7:07

it to happen. I'm not saying that you're

7:09

inflicting this stuff on yourself

7:10

personally, but that's just how it goes.

7:13

Um, and I think everybody's just got to

7:17

take a step back every now and again and

7:20

just think about, okay, am I really just

7:22

going through the motions and listening

7:24

to what everybody else is telling me to

7:27

do? Am I just f like are these my real

7:30

goals? Are these the things that I

7:32

actually want for myself or is it just

7:34

because the world is telling me that I

7:36

want it? Right? Like I was talking about

7:38

Sydney Sweeney the other day with a

7:40

friend of mine and um I there's some

7:42

sort of feud going on in the in the uh

7:45

media right now about I don't know some

7:47

ad or something like that. I wasn't even

7:49

talking about that. I was explaining how

7:52

she's not even the most attractive girl

7:54

you've ever seen, right? but she's like

7:56

the poster child for the hottest woman

7:59

on earth or something like that. She's

8:01

only hot because the media tells you

8:04

that she is. And the more that the media

8:06

tells you that she is and everybody

8:08

agrees with the media, the more you'll

8:10

start to believe it and you start to be

8:14

at the whim of the world. So, are you

8:16

really, you know, in control of your

8:19

thoughts? Are you are you actually like

8:23

striving towards the things that you

8:25

want in life or are you just kind of

8:28

swimming in the wake of whatever the the

8:30

global machine is pushing for? Okay. Are

8:33

you just kind of suffering through your

8:36

genetics? Right? Are you a hard gainer?

8:39

Are you predisposed to being bigger

8:42

boned or or whatever narrative that your

8:44

family has been has been reiterating

8:47

generation after generation? You could

8:50

be the like Ed Milelet. You could be the

8:53

one that changes your bloodline forever

8:57

if you take advantage of the opportunity

8:59

that you've got every single day. Okay?

9:02

You've got an opportunity to ch like you

9:04

you don't have to keep following the

9:06

motions that you've been following even

9:07

right now. You might be be feeling like

9:09

you're you're making some pretty good

9:10

progress in life, but is it is it the

9:13

perfect path? Is it the most optimal

9:15

path for right now? Is it a straight

9:17

shot to your goal? I was we we were uh

9:20

talking around the fire the other night.

9:21

I actually made another video at that

9:24

specific fire. After that video was

9:25

done, we ripped for another like three

9:27

three hours or so. Um but in that video,

9:30

uh or not in the video, but afterwards,

9:32

I was asking my friends like, "What's

9:33

the most radical thing that you could do

9:35

right now?" Like I'm always trying to

9:36

think about this because it it really is

9:38

easy to just all of a sudden get into

9:40

the motions, right? You're just you're

9:42

doing what you need to do to make money.

9:44

You're you're feeding yourself the same

9:45

foods every day. You're going to the

9:47

same places with the same friends. And

9:50

it's tough to think about, okay, am I

9:51

actually enjoying this? Am I actually

9:54

like progressing from this? Am I

9:56

actually um am I actually getting what

10:00

like the the the worth for for the

10:04

effort that I'm putting in that I think

10:06

I should get and it can be a really good

10:09

um way to shake up the box, right? If

10:11

you just think about what's the most

10:12

radical thing that I could do right now

10:13

to shake things up and to start to move

10:17

towards things at a different vantage

10:18

point, right? And just wrapping this

10:21

back around to the extreme ownership

10:23

example, you will very much slip into

10:28

these these little lols or these little

10:30

like, you know, motions, we can call

10:32

them. Um, like without even realizing it

10:35

and and that's kind of by definition,

10:37

it's just going to happen over and over

10:38

and over. I'm getting roasted by these

10:40

flies. I got to go inside in a second.

10:42

Um, but you you got to be able to come

10:45

to that's one thing that I I've been

10:47

telling all my clients is like, okay,

10:49

every now and again, like you you might

10:51

have these goals about getting shredded,

10:53

getting a six-pack, getting some big

10:55

shoulders, you know, some arms, right?

10:58

Some some Vtaper so you got that good

11:00

shoulder to waist ratio. So, it's like

11:02

eye-catching. People people are drawn to

11:04

you. like the the biological hardware

11:07

inside of women is is hardwired to like

11:11

catch you're going to catch her eye if

11:13

you have a better shoulder to waist

11:15

ratio. Um, if you want to get towards

11:18

those goals, you got to be able to come

11:20

to and realize, okay, these these things

11:24

that I'm doing every single day, these

11:25

inputs, these little these little uh,

11:29

you know, deposits, so to speak, uh,

11:31

that I am putting towards this goal,

11:34

like is this the best option for me

11:36

right now? Is this the most realistic

11:38

uh, opportunity or like vehicle in order

11:41

to get there? Um, I'm always talking

11:43

about, okay, what's what's the not the

11:45

the quickest way to get to a goal,

11:48

what's what's the um, you know, not what

11:51

is the most efficient or the the the

11:56

uh the highest

11:58

I wouldn't even say that high leverage

12:00

is a problem. All I'm saying is a lot of

12:02

people talk about, okay, David Gogggins

12:04

works out seven days a week, twice a

12:06

day, you know, crazy marathon every

12:09

single day, eating very little food to

12:11

stay shredded because he's locked in and

12:12

he's that guy. That might not be the

12:14

best option for everybody, right? Like

12:16

some people, it might make more sense to

12:18

do what I do, which is just three days a

12:20

week of weight training, Monday,

12:21

Wednesday, Friday, and focus on the

12:24

foods that that are going to supercharge

12:26

my hormonal health, my testosterone, my

12:29

thyroid, which controls my metabolism,

12:31

and you know, improving my dopamine so

12:33

that my prolactin stays low and I'm

12:35

never lethargic or brain fogged and and

12:38

uh, you know, sad, right? A lot of

12:40

people just feel sad nowadays. is they

12:42

feel they get into these lulls where

12:43

they're going through the motions and

12:44

they're just like, "Man, I feel like I

12:45

have a a certain lens over my life. I

12:48

feel dull, so to speak." You got to be

12:51

able to come to and realize which parts

12:54

of the process are actually creating

12:56

that result because it is your fault one

12:59

way or another. All right? It might not

13:01

be fair. It might, you know, it might

13:04

not make sense to you right now why you

13:06

ended up here, but it is your

13:08

responsibility to figure out how to

13:11

actually manipulate the situation so you

13:13

can start moving in the direction that

13:14

you want to go in the the path of re

13:17

least resistance so that you can

13:19

actually get to your goal, hit your

13:21

dream physique, get your dream state of

13:23

health so that this doesn't keep

13:25

cluttering your mind, right? you would

13:27

likely be able to use all the mental

13:29

clutter that is, you know, fogging your

13:32

brain about your physique or your

13:34

testosterone or whatever else is going

13:37

on with your health right now. You would

13:39

likely be able to use that on other

13:41

things like advancing your career,

13:43

finding a girl, right? Working on your

13:45

social skills because it's not just the

13:46

physique. That's probably a truth bomb,

13:49

too, is once you get shredded, that's

13:51

not the end game. That's like where the

13:53

work really begins. Okay? I I I

13:55

mentioned this at the event that we did

13:56

in in New York City back in November

13:58

last year. Once you get jacked, like

14:01

that is truly where personal development

14:03

begins because that is like the the

14:06

foundation that everything else is going

14:08

to be built upon. You got the

14:09

discipline. You've got the energy, the

14:11

vitality, the brain power, mental focus.

14:14

Now you can actually think straight. Now

14:16

you can actually know when to step up

14:19

and take advantage and take control of

14:21

the situation. Assume that it's you in

14:23

control, right? If you can't tell who's

14:26

in charge, assume that it's you. And

14:29

regardless of what else is going on in

14:31

your environment, what your friends or

14:32

your family or your girl is saying,

14:35

don't follow what they are doing if you

14:37

know at your core that it's wrong.

14:40

That's probably the most important thing

14:42

regarding leadership. I just watched a

14:44

video by Dwayne Null recently, you know,

14:46

a couple hours ago. He was talking about

14:48

there's a difference between leadership

14:50

and authority. Leadership is about

14:53

leading the path, right? You're going to

14:56

go in that direction whether anybody's

14:58

going to follow you or not because you

15:00

know that's the right way. So make those

15:03

distinctions in your life. Assume that

15:05

it's you and stop making excuses for why

15:09

you are where you are today. All right.

15:12

Peace.

Interactive Summary

The video emphasizes the importance of 'extreme ownership,' a concept derived from Jocko Willink's book. The speaker encourages viewers to stop waiting for others to take charge and instead assume responsibility for their own lives, health, and career, regardless of external circumstances. By avoiding a victim mindset and actively choosing to think for oneself, one can achieve personal growth, optimize health, and eventually build a foundation for greater success in all areas of life.
