We are all doctors and trained professionals.
People talk about their achievements.
They talk about they businesses that they owned and now they are in this tent.
The difference is stark.
We pray that the warring parties will heed the voice of reason
and engage in a dialogue that leads to a comprehensive and lasting peace so we can return to Sudan.
Here, whenever you feel inclined to complain, you find that someone else
is suffering an even greater tragedy than your own.
We are especially thankful to the Government and the people of Uganda.
When I first arrived here, I was welcomed with open arms.
I did not feel like a refugee—except, perhaps, on paper.
We hope that this war will cease so that we may be able to return home with my family.
The longer this lasts, the more draining this will be,
costing the Sudanese people much of their positive energy.
