AI agents for marketing are here and

0:01

it's going to totally change how you're

0:03

going to grow your business. These

0:04

basically function as employees that you

0:06

can delegate tasks to and they can just

0:08

go and run the operations for a specific

0:11

marketing tactic that you're doing. For

0:12

example, like your Facebook ads or your

0:14

Google ads or your cold outbound. And

0:16

what's fundamentally different than AI

0:17

chats from before is that these systems

0:20

can evolve. They can learn from what you

0:22

teach it and they can ingest skills that

0:24

you provide to it. So you can almost

0:26

upload knowledge into them like the

0:27

Matrix. I'm Cody Schneider. I'm the

0:29

co-founder of a company called Graft.

0:30

I've been building online businesses for

0:32

the last 15 years of my life. And in

0:33

this video, I'm going to show you how to

0:34

build your first AI agent for marketing

0:37

and then I'm going to cast the vision of

0:38

where this is going and how this is

0:40

going to entirely change how companies

0:42

grow themselves in 2026. For the first

0:45

time ever, you can have these virtual

0:47

employees that are connected to your

0:49

business data that are making decisions

0:51

about your go-to-market motions based on

0:53

what actually drives the revenue for

0:54

your company. With that said, let's get

0:56

started. All right, so for this build

0:57

today, I'm going to be doing it entirely

0:59

on Graft. It has access to my live

1:01

business data and it also has the

1:03

ability to build these agents out and

1:05

run them in persistence in the

1:07

background. So, what we're going to do

1:08

today is create an agent that does

1:10

keyword research based off of our live

1:13

Google Search Console data, our Ahrefs

1:15

API that we've given it. We're going to

1:17

have it go and research keywords, then

1:19

find what is ranking on page one of

1:21

Google for those keywords, extract the

1:24

content and put that into the context

1:25

window and then write blog posts based

1:29

off of what is currently ranking and

1:31

publish those to the blog and then turn

1:33

this into a recurring action that it's

1:36

doing on a daily basis. All right, so

1:37

let's get started and actually do this.

1:39

So, I'm just going to prompt it to begin

1:40

with something like this. All right, use

1:42

the Google Search Console for graft.com

1:45

and use the Ahrefs API key to go do

1:47

keyword research for keywords that are

1:50

related to AI for marketing. And now I'm

1:52

just going to go and I'm going to hit

1:53

send message and the agent's going to

1:54

start working on this. And the reason

1:56

I'm starting with just the small

1:57

bite-size task is I'm going to teach it

2:00

this process, how to actually do this.

2:02

Just like I would teach an employee,

2:04

step-by-step kind of walking them

2:05

through it and then building and then I

2:07

can build this process, what I teach it

2:09

into a skill that it can use in the

2:11

future. I'm basically building the

2:12

memory up on this activity that it's

2:14

going to be doing for me. And it's just

2:16

working on the task that I provided it

2:17

still, but I just realized that we left

2:19

on the Snoop Dogg function. So, we told

2:21

the agent to respond as Snoop Dogg. So,

2:23

it's pretty funny to show this in the

2:24

demo. All right, so it just completed

2:26

that initial research, but I don't want

2:28

it to write about anything that's

2:29

already published. So, I'm going to tell

2:31

it that. I'm going to say, "Add this to

2:32

your memory so that we don't publish

2:34

content that's already been written

2:36

about. So, go and look at our CMS,

2:38

Strapi, using the Strapi API to make

2:40

sure that we haven't written about that

2:42

keyword, that target keyword, already in

2:44

the past." And I'm also going to tell it

2:45

now that we're going to be writing blog

2:46

post content. So, look for keywords that

2:49

have a search intent that a blog post

2:50

would be a better result and then let's

2:52

rank stack these keywords. So, let me

2:53

say that now. So, for these keywords or

2:55

for this function that you're going to

2:56

be doing, we want to look for keywords

2:58

that have a search intent that is a blog

3:01

post, not like a landing page, etc.

3:03

Let's go and rank stack these keywords

3:05

now and which have the largest

3:06

opportunities. I want you to rank stack

3:08

30 of them that have the biggest

3:09

opportunities for us and that are the

3:11

closest to our product. Like the search

3:14

intent is related to our product,

3:15

graft.com. And then I'm going to hit

3:16

send message, let it work on that. All

3:18

right, so it's responded back with this

3:20

rank stack list of keywords now, but I

3:22

want it to focus on stuff that's have a

3:23

lower keyword difficulty just so that

3:25

it's more possible for us to be able to

3:27

rank for. So, I can tell it that. But

3:29

just to keep the But just to keep this

3:31

But just keep the video rolling, what

3:32

I'm going to do is have it now go and

3:34

write actually one of these blog posts

3:35

and teach it that process of the blog

3:37

post writing. So, I'm going to say, "All

3:38

right, we're going to write a blog post

3:40

for AI marketing apps, that target

3:41

keyword. To write this blog post, you're

3:43

going to use the surfer.dev API key to

3:46

find what's ranking on page one of

3:47

Google currently for that target keyword

3:49

phrase and then you're going to use the

3:51

Exa AI API to go and extract the content

3:54

from those pages that are ranking on

3:56

page one. And the reason for doing all

3:58

of this is we're basically writing for

4:00

that target keyword based off of what's

4:02

ranking currently." And then I'm going

4:03

to hit send message. Now, what I've just

4:05

done here is I've now taught it how to

4:07

do keyword research and I'm now teaching

4:09

it how to actually research the content

4:12

that it should write for this article.

4:14

And I could take this even a step

4:15

further and this is actually what you

4:17

should do is you should then provide

4:19

your own views on the space, on the

4:22

industry that you're writing about so

4:24

that the agent will write both from what

4:25

is ranking currently and your own

4:28

personal perspective. How I do this is I

4:30

actually provided a transcript of my

4:32

view on what is happening within

4:34

whatever it is I'm writing about and

4:36

provide that as source material so that

4:37

when it's writing for that target

4:39

keyword, it's bringing in both of these

4:40

things. So now, it's pulled in those

4:42

search results via Surfer. It's now

4:44

going to use Exa to go and extract the

4:46

content from those search results and

4:48

then it's going to put that into context

4:50

and write the blog post based off of

4:52

that context that I provided. All right,

4:54

so it just got done writing this. The

4:56

blog post has been published via the

4:58

Strapi API to the CMS. You can actually

5:01

go to that page. This is great, awesome,

5:04

cool. We just did some work entirely by

5:06

agents, but now I want to turn this into

5:07

a recurring task for the agent. So, I'm

5:09

just going to tell it that. Now, I want

5:10

you to turn this into a recurring task.

5:12

You're going to publish a blog post like

5:14

this on a daily cadence. So, you're

5:15

going to do this whole thing, do the

5:16

keyword research, decide which keyword

5:18

is the best to focus on, research what

5:20

the article should include and then

5:21

actually publish that to the live site

5:23

and do that daily. Just one article a

5:24

day. And then I'm going to hit send

5:25

message and that's it. This is now a

5:27

workflow that's running on a daily cron

5:29

job. You just built your first AI agent

5:31

employee that's doing some type of

5:32

marketing task for you. And what I've

5:34

just shown you is just a single thing

5:36

that you can do. Any process that you

5:38

have, you can go and teach this agent to

5:41

go and do that for you. You can have it

5:42

manage your Facebook ads automatically

5:44

so that if they turn off ads that get to

5:47

a CPMR that is too high. You can have it

5:49

run your Google search ads by providing

5:51

a budget and then saying optimize for

5:52

this specific user conversion action.

5:55

You can have it manage your social

5:56

media, research posts, schedule them and

5:59

then analyze the data to see what's

6:01

getting the most engagement and

6:02

traction. You can have it do cold

6:03

outbound by finding target accounts,

6:06

going extracting their emails using the

6:08

Apollo API, validating those emails,

6:11

adding them to Instantly and then

6:12

actually responding to and managing the

6:15

entire cold outreach process. And the

6:17

biggest thing about this is that it's

6:19

connected to your live business data.

6:21

So, the agent is making decisions based

6:23

on the actions that are actually

6:25

creating revenue for your business. For

6:26

example, this blog post that we just

6:28

published has this call to action. I can

6:30

tell the agent to optimize for the

6:32

conversion event, which is the sign up

6:33

and then let that influence its

6:35

decision-making on what it writes next.

6:37

And this is all possible because you're

6:39

streaming in all of your live business

6:41

data from Graft and the agent has access

6:44

to that. This enables it to do data

6:46

analytics and you're not going to run

6:47

into any errors where you're hitting API

6:50

rate limits or having MCP failures or

6:52

truncation issues or context window

6:55

bloat on the data that you're pulling

6:56

from these data sources because this is

6:58

a data pipeline, a data warehouse and

7:00

the underlying infrastructure that

7:02

enables you to actually build these

7:03

agents. All of that is tied together.

7:05

And this is where agents have failed

7:07

largely previously is that they don't

7:09

have this accurate data. They can go and

7:10

do things, but the decisions that they

7:12

were making were bad decisions. So, the

7:14

data is a piece of this and then also

7:15

the constant learning memory is another

7:18

piece of this, which we built into these

7:20

agents. And what you just watched is

7:21

going to go live to all Graft users. If

7:23

you want to do get started with this, we

7:25

want to do this with you. Use the form

7:26

below to reach out or you can reach out

7:28

to me directly. We'll get you

7:29

on-boarded. I will personally set this

7:30

up for you. I will set up your initial

7:32

agents for your company. And if you like

7:34

this video, send it to somebody and also

7:36

follow me. I'm going to be doing content

7:37

like this on a daily basis showing you

7:39

how to build agents that do your

7:41

go-to-market. All right, later.

Interactive Summary

This video introduces the use of AI agents for marketing automation, specifically demonstrating how to build a virtual employee using the Graft platform. Cody Schneider shows how to connect an AI agent to live business data and APIs (such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and CMS tools) to automate complex, recurring tasks like keyword research and blog post creation. The presentation emphasizes that unlike traditional AI chatbots, these agents can learn, maintain memory, and make data-driven decisions that directly contribute to company revenue.
