Welcome to a new video. Today we're
going to be checking out Uncanny Tales:
The Watcher. This horror game takes
place in 2006, and we get to start a new
job as a reserve caretaker. State Nature
Reserve, year 2006,
one day before the main events.
Right. Let's start with a patrol, then
I'll check the camps and get to that
report. Okay.

Firewatch vibes. Okay. Okay.

final stretch up.
>> Oh. Oh. Um, hey Mitch. Uh, locked and
loaded, ready to go. Uh, no, not really.
Just thinking about my granddaughter,
Mr. Soda Maja.
>> I get it. My boy's turning five on the
26th, his first big birthday. And here I
am, stuck in the sticks, counting bear
tracks. How old is yours now?
>> Uh, she's seven already, starting school
this year. New guy takes over tomorrow.
Got a hand over the place so he doesn't
[ __ ] it all up.
>> We'll show him the ropes. We're all
green once. Come on. Don't get all sappy
on me. Finish the rounds and head back
to base. Over and out.
>> Ah, take care, buddy.
Can we do it up PC?
Oh, my little princess. Promise her that
as soon as I get back from the shift,
we're heading straight to the amusement
park. Photo with granddaughter. Oh,
okay. So, that's how we look like.
Interesting. Can I Oh, it's so wobbly.
All right. Put it back. Put it back.
What's in a fridge?
Cheese, sausage, beer,
case juice.
I love it. Uh, all right. I usually
despise this processed crap, but these
these are good. Charcoal grilled sausage
flavor. Perfect for watching something
total trash. Charcoal grilled sausage
flavor is kind of crazy.
Uh, to avoid getting lost in the deep
forest, use your compass. Oh god, I'm
I'm cooked. Main objective markers are

points of interest are shown with
question mark. Press tab to equip your

Okay, it's up there. Refill the car. Um
Oh, right here.
Uh for fast travel across the location,
you have access to an old but reliable
UAZ buanka.
Uh brake, stop engine, and radio. Oh, we
get to drive. The car's out of gas. Got
to fill her up. Uh, the jerry can should
be near the workbench.
Oh. Oh.
Oh, I play DVD. Well, I don't anymore,
but I used to play DVD.
>> So, was the whole
dead
>> still at it? Don't you ever get tired?
>> Daddy in the st. Holy mother of God.
Anyway, how many freaking times do I
have to tell you? The area is
restricted. No trespassing.
>> He says the earth isn't close. The earth
is waiting for him.
And here you are,
stomping around,
making noise,
wreaking of caseline and scarp metal.
>> Back at it again. You should go home
before I call the cops. feeding your
delirium treatments again.
>> You'll all pay.
The forest craves silence.
I'll miss is coming, son.
>> They'll crawl out from the dark. Take
your children
and live nothing but ash where your
house is stored.
>> What the hell is an Elvis? You should
listen to few bedtime stories. Get in.
I'll drop you off at the gate before it
gets dark.
>> No, I'm not getting into that 10 bucks
of yours. I'll walk.
God might help you yet, but I'm done
with you.
All right, creepy lady. Have I got one?
Okay. Oh no, it was just a leaf. I
thought I saw something.
Uh, check the trail cameras. All right,
let's do it. Okay, the cameras are over
that way. Ah, oh, so I'll be checking
the actual cameras on the trail
probably.
Creepy lady around here. All right. All
right. Keep your guard up. There are
creepy ladies walking around here.
Can I talk to my Nope? No. No
entertainment while I walk here. Just me
and my thoughts and nature and this
creepy ass lady. But yeah, I don't know.
I don't know with her creepy stories,
dude. We'll probably meet her again.
We're almost there.
And there it is. There's the first one.
Um. Oh, okay.
Nice. One out of six. Wait, you're
telling what?
I have to walk, dude. We're going to be
walking for a long ass time here. Holy.
All right.
All right, guys. Sit back, relax, get
your snackies ready. We're going to
we're going to go on a walk,
but I probably I'll probably cut this
together a bit. because I don't think
just watching me walk when nothing's
happening is too exciting. But we shall
see. We shall see. Okay, the next one is
right here. Perfect.
Very nice. Two out of six. Damn.
That's nice. I guess we get to know the
footsteps.
But but but it's nice. We get to know
the area, I guess, is what I wanted to
say. And then I heard footsteps and now
I'm scared.
Dude, is this lady still creeping around
here? Is this someone else? I don't
know. But I don't trust this. I don't
trust this area. Oh, there we go.
Something's definitely sus here.
600. Damn. Can I go this way? I can.
I get ready to get jump scared or
something. Oh, wait. There she is. [ __ ]
she is still doing here.
Ma'am, can you leave?
Bro, I I don't I don't like that she's
just walking around here. I think she
should leave. Yep. And some crazy [ __ ]
about some random things. Oh,
who didn't put their stuff away? Huh?
Huh? We got to keep the park clean.
Poor girl. They've been searching for 3
weeks now. Her mother was standing by
the entrance yesterday, eyes swollen
from crying. Oh no. Girl who went
missing in these parts? The papers
crumbled in place.
Uh Malich, I looked at the board. Any
news on Ktova? Did the police call back?
>> Nothing, Sergey. The feds packed up
yesterday. Said she vanished into the
deep rush. You know what that means?
Either a predator got her or Well, it
ain't good.
>> Yeah, I get it. The whole thing is just
awful.
>> You can say that again. Even itch. You
can see that again.
>> And comes
right. Damn. Maybe maybe the lady has
something to do with that. Maybe the
lady has something to do with that.
Oh, I think it's just a river or a lake.
Oh, that's so nice here.
Check the trail. Four out of six. Oh,
wow. Oh, look at this place.
No fishing, no swimming. Uh, I'm at the
pier and the lake is quiet today. Uh,
like a mirror, not even a ripple,
>> isn't it? Just make sure that mirror
stays clear of any unauthorized boats.
Po troopers from the village have no
shame lately. Dropping nets right under
our noses. They think just cuz it's a
preserve. That's a free-for-all.
>> God damn, you're on a roll. Seems empty
though. Only our boats here.
>> Thank God for that. At least the fish
get some peace here. Don't spend too
long staring at the sunset though. The
mosquitoes on that pier are vicious.
Keep moving.
>> Oh, you got that right. I'm out. Out.
Out. Out.
Okay, the next one is rather close here.
That's nice. And then we only need one
more. Only one more after.
Oh, just do I keep saying the leaves
that are falling or something.
Oh, I mean, there you go.
Okay, one final one. Almost there. We're
almost there. Perfect.
It was so nice though.
Very pretty area
with a creepy lady wandering around.
Well, well, well. And there's something
hanging on the tree.
Oh. Oh, true. I'm at a point 6. Listen,
something s found something. Looks like
a headscarf. Green, faded, covered in
filth.
>> Tell me you didn't touch it with your
bare hands.
>> Of course not. But what's wrong?
>> The missing person report for that girl.
Remember headscarf?
>> Listen to me carefully. Leave it exactly
where it is and get the hell out of
there.
>> Yeah, that's creepy.
>> Call the local police in the morning.
Let them handle it.
>> He'd be fine for sure.
>> I don't like this.
>> Not one bit. Same. And I heard footsteps
again. By the way, I did hear footsteps.
Head home. That's the last one. Now back
to the cabin to finish the report.
Okay.
Wait, it shows that this way is my
Should I Should I follow this?
Yeah, follow the home. Go home signs.
That's probably smart idea, right?
Right.
Fallen leaves. Falling leaves. Falling
leaves on the ground.
I was just No, more leaves.
Great. Now, this song is going to be
stuck in my head during this entire play
through. So, get ready for that.
Get ready for that. I apologize in
advance.
And here we are. We're back home.
Very nice.
Close
the door. No freaky ladies allowed.
Sometime later. Uh-oh.
I'll check the cams, find out the
report, and then I have some dinner.
Uh, personal computer, the primary tool
for monitoring the territory and
completing your shift. Uh, CCTV, perform
a sector inspection at the end of your
shift. Photo captured. Images are stored
in the photo folder. Report: Fill in the
final data before leaving. Fulling

Oh my god. We're playing Flappy Bird. Oh
my god,
dude. The music together mixed in with
the other music is throwing me off. But
I mean, jumping slime, my bad.
This is too slow, but it's getting a bit
quick already, I think.
Da da da da.
Do you think there's an achievement for
getting a certain high score? Oh god,
it's getting quicker. I'm scared.
Okay, we're only going to do one try.
There was another game where there was
like a fluffy bird thing and holy [ __ ]
that was so fun.
Oh, I got an achievement. I did it.
Yeah, I'm kind of a Flappy Board
champion. Um, I'm a professional Flappy
Board esports
uh esport. Yeah. Person. Yep.
Yep.
Sorry guys, this is a game now. I
apologize. The other game's gone. This
is what we're doing now. Don't want to
see it? Just skip ahead, guys.
Skip a bit forward.
I can't I I can't even see the number
top left because I'm so locked in on the
what's happening here that I don't even
know what my number is.
No, no. Oh, that was close.
Oh, I already got the achievement. So, I
don't know. I should probably just stop.
I don't think there's anything else to
me to get.
>> Guys, I'm so sorry.
I'll get to 200 and then I'll stop. Then
I'll stop if I can. Unless I [ __ ] up.
All right.
Sorry guys. Sorry. Restart. No, I'm
done. I'm done. I'm done.
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Oh my god.
>> Am I hearing footsteps outside? I think
I am, but I don't care. I'm I have games
to play.
Okay. This dangerous over there. Maybe
here. Here.
[ __ ]
Okay, whatever. No more. Okay, let's
What? What are we supposed to do? And
we're going to watch the camera. See if
we see anything.
Night mode.
Okay, camera one. Rangers cabin. Looking
pretty good. I think no anomalies. I
thought this really anomalies, but
looking all good. I don't see anything
suspicious. Cam 2 is fine. Cam 3
crossroads looks pretty good. I don't
think we're going to see much on the
first day. Property entrance all looks
good and clean. Substation

Heat up the soup.
Report sent. Time to eat and hit the
sack. Oh,
nice. Okay,
there we go. Great. Now wait for it to
warm up a plate. I think there was one
at the top shelves.
Yeah, perfect. Oh.
>> Oh, no. I threw it. Where?
you there? Am I interrupting official
state business?
>> I hear you, Tolia. Just warming up
yesterday's soup. What's up?
>> The sunrise out here is deafening
sometimes.
It's going to be damn lonely without you
next season, even itch. Who am I going
to shoot the breeze with? The new kid.
He'll probably spend the whole shift
glued to his handheld. Ah, come on, Toa.
6 months will fly by before you know it.
You got a vacation coming soon. To be
honest, I'm going to miss it, too. You
get used to the forest and to you, you
old grump. But I'm getting too old for
this, Tolia.
>> From your lips to God's ears. My relief
arrives in 2 weeks. Hope to hit my cabin
before the frost sets in. Fix up the
fence. Listen, Sergey, don't be a
stranger. Look me up when you're back in
the city. Fire up the sauna and
>> Yeah. Hell yeah. That sounds nice. Uh,
you fend me. A trip to the bath house is
sacred. I'm holding you to that. Accept
me some.
>> Enjoy your meal.
>> Thank you.
>> Um, I have a problem though.
Oh my god.
Oh, things. Oh, nice. Okay, man.
Saved. actually saved. Is that tomato
soup?
Oh, we slurp in it.
This was some rich hearty. Oh, borch.
Now I can finally hit the sack throat.
Was it Should we not turn off a PC or
something? Anyway, um time to go to
sleep.
2:30 a.m.
Imagine being asleep at those times.
Would actually never be me. Come here.
Damn it. Pick up.
>> You see what time it is? What the [ __ ]
Christ. Finally. Even. We've got a
situation. Every camera in your sector
just went dark. The power at the
substation is flatlined. You hear me?
Zero power.
>> Maybe a branch fell. Check it in the
morning.
>> Fallen branch. Didn't you hear me? The
alarm was triggered. The lock's been
ripped off. There's a fire or a short.
The whole damn forest is going up in
smoke in your cabin with it. They'll
bury us alive for this.
>> Broken into? What do you mean broken
into? You're breaking up.
>> Please just go look. The inspector show
up and see the penalt. We're not just
fired. We're looking at jail time.
>> Oh yeah, the signal is [ __ ]
>> Think about it. The new guy arrives
tomorrow. What are we going to hand him?
A pile of ash. Don't leave me dry out
here. I can see it from the monitor.
Something's wrong. Just a quick look see
and get out. Ah,
>> freaking fine. I'll go have a look.
Okay, also reminder, uh, this is the
Wow, that's loud. This is the prologue
to the game. So, shots.
So, I guess the
we're going to be the new reserve
caretaker after the prologue, and
something is probably going to happen to
him now. So, yeah.
It's very loud. It's very windy.
Man, what a mess. It looks like a tank
rolled through here. Not just a gust of
wind.
Oh, we're almost there.
Holy
blood. Floating blood.
More blood.
Can't drive any further. Drive. The
gates are busted in blood. Holy [ __ ]
What the hell happened here? Wait, so I
was actually able to use my car for
everything? Oh my god. I've been just
walking around, dude. What the actual
freak could have done this? I need to
head back and call for help.
Who the hell are you? Why'd you kill the
deer? Huh? Not enough meat for you, you
prick. Did you have to gut the poor
thing like that? Drop the shotgun now.
Being in a reserve with a weapon is
prison time. You hear me? I'm calling
deputy. You're leaving here in
handcuffs. We're so gone.
Hey, why you quiet? Do you do you even
understand what I'm saying to you?

Sergey Ivanovich mysterious story.
Complete the prologue.
Unit come in. Everything okay over
there?
Nope.
Nope.
August 2006.
One day later, if my life ever had a
truly dark patch, this was it. My
marriage was falling apart at the seams.
My wife was determined to take our son
and leave because I just couldn't
provide for the family anymore. I got
kicked out of yet another job for the
teenth time. Being at home felt
sickening, so I rarely saw my son, and
that hit the hardest. To be honest, I
tried to fit in at a lot of places. But
because of my rotten attitude, I never
stayed long. When my uncle offered me
the ranger job, he literally said, "You
won't have anyone to pick fights without
there, except maybe the bears."
I thought about it and realized he was
right. Peace and quiet. Nobody nagging
me and the pay was well above average. I
agreed.
Okay, now to start the actual game.
Was this the prologue? My ass is
completely numb by now, but as far as I
can tell, I'm almost there.
Okay, nice.
Uncanny energy. Oh, cheers.
Okay, sorry.
Oh my god. Do we get to drive?
>> Hey nephew, how's it going?
>> Did you make it or what?
>> Hey, uncle. I'm just pulling up to the
sign. Still got about 60 to 70 clicks to
go.
>> Nice.
Listen, there's a spot on the right
called away from Vice. You got to stop
there. They serve some killer
home-cooked food.
>> All right, I'll swing by. I'm starving.
>> All right, kid. Keep the rubber side
down. Drive safe.
>> Yeah. Reach the diner. Oh my god, I can
drive. Yeah,
>> dude. This is a vibe.
>> Hello. Did you make it?
>> Well, hello to you, too. Yeah, almost
there.
>> All right. Listen, Elia, I can't do this
anymore. I'm exhausted. And Dimma is
too.
>> Natasha, what are you talking about?
We'll figure everything out. Things are
going to get better.
>> There is no normal, Elia. Don't you get
it? We're always broke. You're always
gone, wandering god knows where. Your
son's forgotten what his own father
looks like. I'm tired, Elia. I think we
should just get a divorce.
>> Frank, I already explained it.
Everything's going to be fine. I'll make
money. I've changed. Can't you see that?
I'm done listening to these fairy tales.
We're moving in with my mom in a couple
of weeks. When you get back, we'll file
the papers. That's it. Bye.
>> Freak.
>> How can she do this to me? I'm going I'm
doing all this for us. How to get out of
here? There you go. What the hell is
going on here? Maybe I should just screw
this whole idea. Turn around and head
the hell back. Definitely not. Hey, man.
How you doing?
The air here is completely different.
Unlike in the city, right? Yeah, it's
amazing. Can't get enough of it.
>> Tourist, where are you heading?
>> My girl and I are celebrating our
oneyear anniversary.
>> Oh, congrats.
>> Decided to get away from civilization.
Just spent some time together. Heading
to Dead Lake, then Katy and down into
the valley.
>> Gotcha. Don't even know where that is.
>> Her dad suggested it. Said it's a killer
spot. She's actually on the phone with
him right now getting the instructions.
>> Safe travels.
Hello, sir.
>> Good day,
>> dude. I love how everybody's voice
acted, though. Even like the random
people here on the road. And to you, did
you arrive here on a bike?
>> Yeah, I'm from the neighboring village
trying to get some nice exercise in
while the weather's nice, so to speak.
Fresh air walks. I drank for half me
life. Then the doctor said, "Keep it up
and you'll kick the bucket in a ditch."
So, I calm down. Got my act together.
Where are you heading? Tourist.
>> All right.
Uh, heading to work at the reserve. got
a job as a ranger.
>> The reserve heard of it.
>> A neighbor of ours disappeared out that
way. Went berry picking and vanished
into thin air. Almost a month now.
>> Nice.
>> Not a word. Probably got mauled by some
beast. Those are nasty parts.
>> All right, Deathly.
>> Take care and keep your eyes peeled out
there.
>> Yep. Thank you.
When it's your girlfriend, I guess
costing a fortune.
Love you. Tell mom hi. Uh-huh. Yeah. We
passed it.
>> Yeah. Yeah, we passed it already.
Everything's fine, Dad. Don't worry.
Tosha is a good driver. Really?
>> Right. Take a right from there. Got it.
>> Uh-huh.
>> Hi.
>> I understand.
>> All right. Take care. All right. Let's
just keep going.
Let's go
later.
We can turn the radio on off, right? Oh,
what a nice drive.
Holy [ __ ] Banger tunes. What's here?
Hold up. Hold up.
Hey,
how's it going?
Hello.
Do you have eyes? Yeah. Okay. All right.
Take care. Oh, sorry. Wrong side.
>> Later.
All right.
Oh [ __ ] Oh damn skirt.
>> Spotted the Dynamo was talking about
looks decent enough. Even has some
people inside.
Hold up. Yep.
There we Yeah.
Perfect. Um T and get out of here.
Perfect.
Wow, that's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
Hi.
>> I'm [ __ ] sick of everything for real.
We're taking on everything for real on
God. No cap.
>> Equipment, electrical, plumbing. The
cash is rolling in, sure, but there's no
life. Work isn't a dick. It'll stand and
keep standing, but your youth will [ __ ]
off before you know it.
>> Yeah,
>> sa. I told you hund times. We need to
expand.
>> What's he doing?
>> Most of the work needs to be delated.
Get it? We should just be raking in the
cash and dealing with paperwork. What
the [ __ ] are you talking about? Degrade?
Oh, [ __ ] Sia, you're such a dunce. It
means shifting responsibilities to
others. You hire some guys and you just
count the money. It's slick for real.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Hire a pro and wait for the
[ __ ] to hit the fan. I don't give a [ __ ]
about those hassles. I was fixing a line
in the reserve yesterday. Did it all
myself with these two hands. And I
didn't [ __ ] myself. We need to close the
project in the village. But with your
all myself act, you'll be digging around
there for another week. Come on, finish.
>> Take care, sir. Have a good one.
>> Let's go.
>> Chilling. Dude, I love how there's like
so many Dude, I love how much effort
they put into this game. Like every
single character so far is voice acted.
There's so many like attention cute
little attention to detail. Like this
guy just coming out and looking and it's
very like just lively and I don't know.
It's really cool. It's really cool. I
like it a lot. Grab a tray, utensil
plates, and serve the food. Oh.
Uh, issue on forced disappearance is an
issue of the local newspaper. The front
page features a chilling headline uh and
a grim look on the face of a local
prosecutor Vulov.
>> No, you get it right. I hit him with a
right and the [ __ ] goes to the cops.
>> You're kidding. What an idiot. You can
tell right away he can't stand up for
himself. Not like you.
>> Well, no, baby. Don't think that. I
actually have a business and I'm a
decent guy. I've got a jeep and a place
in Moscow. I'm just a truck driver for
the soul.
>> Whoa. What kind of business do you have?
Probably something big, right?
International shipping.
>> Anyway, I love restaurants. In Moscow,
for example, only
>> she looking for like a sugar daddy. This
is kind of weird.
>> I'm getting kind of weird energy here.
>> You're a joker, Vermachelli. Did you say
that on purpose? Yeah. To check if I
know what it is or not?
>> Yeah. Uh-huh.
>> Yeah, I get it. Why clutter your head
with nonsense when you have so much
responsibility? A real man should be
getting things done, not
>> the real man.
>> Yeah. Uh-huh.
Okay.
All right. Very nice. Okay. Let's grab
our stuff. This is so dude. I don't
know. So that we can uh This kind of
stuff gives us goosebumps. Where on
earth were the authorities looking?
Newspaper. After 14 years, law
enforcement authorities have officially
closed the criminal case regarding a
series of disappearances in a small
provincial town. The tragedy that
occurred in October 1992 was long
considered a cold case due to the chaos
of those years and the death of the
prime suspect during arrest. Uh today,
experts finally confirmed the killer was
not a traveling predator, but a local
resident who enjoyed the absolute trust
of his neighbors for years. The
perpetrator's identity was hidden behind
a mask of respectability, and a social
standing literally allowed him to patrol
his own crime scenes. He was one of us,
always in plain sight. The prosecutor's
office commented grimly. The most
terrifying part isn't what he did, but
how long he went unpunished, hiding
right under everyone's noses. Many
details of the case remain classified to
this day due to their extreme brutality.
In 2006, the plot of land where his
cottage once stood remains vacant. Local
residents claim that strange items are
still being found in the woods near the
village. This horrific story is a
eternal reminder that the most
terrifying monster can be smiling at you
from the next apartment door.
Oh, fair enough, honestly.
Okay. Oh my god. Let's get some uh nice
Oh my god, I'm so excited. What are we
going to get? What are we going to take?
Can I choose?
Oh my god, I can. I don't know what I
took, but I'm excited. Uh,
it's all meat.
some mashed potatoes. And let's get
Yeah. Get some meat going.
Dude, this is so cute. I love how much
effort they put into this.
Oh, case juice. Oh, energy drink.
I have to go. I guess I have to go in.
Oh, can I not? Oh, case juice. Yeah,
never mind. Pay for the food. Hi.
All right. Soup, mashed potatoes, the
main dish, and a drink. Anything else?
>> Uh, no thanks.
>> Eating in or you want it to go?
>> Uh, I'll eat here. Thank you.
>> Okay, that'll be 110 rubles. Exact
change if you can.
>> Enjoy your meal. Come back and see us
again.
>> Thank you. My bad. We're going to eat,
sir. Excuse me.
Nice. Okay.
Hey, salute. Are you um Dude, are you
busy? I'm so sorry to bother you.
>> I just wanted to fill my stomach and hit
the road.
>> Fair enough, man. I didn't want to
distract you. Honestly, it's just I have
a couple questions. Um you wouldn't
happen to know how to get to the village
of Bal. The GPS doesn't work here at
all. It's like a total ghost town.
Seriously.
>> Uh brother, I'm new here myself. You a
foreigner?
>> Yeah, you're right. I'm not Russian. Uh,
my name is Zultan. I'm a journalist of
sorts writing for an independent
publisher. I have this column, uncanny
stories. I hunt for strange places, you
know.
>> Can you tell them stuff and weird
disappearances?
>> It's my passion, dude. I love that.
>> I also love the creepy stuff. Writing
about our roads. That's where the real
uncanny is.
>> No way, mate. Your roads are very
extreme, that's for sure. Real survival
horror,
>> but I came here for something even
crazier.
I'm looking for the Elmiss.
>> That's what the lady said. Almost. Who's
that?
>> Well, it's like a local yeti, but in a
Russian setting, they say he lives
somewhere around these forests. People
go missing and
they just vanish without a trace. It's
so creepy, right?
>> Be careful. It's not you're up here.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I'm I'm sorry. I won't keep
you. Thanks for answering. You're very
chill. Much calmer than the others I've
met here. Um, good luck to you, dude.
>> Thanks. See you. Can I What a weirdo.
I'm a Yeti, man. What a load of complete
[ __ ] I don't know. I don't know if
it's really complete [ __ ] Oh, let's
let's dig in.
M. That was Oh, wait. Okay. Get the Get
the case juice.
Delicious. And now the soup. I feel like
I would probably eat the soup before the
other things, but it's okay. It's okay.
Damn. We're already slurping up that
soup, huh? All right. Time to keep
moving. Not much further left. All
right, time to get out of here. Should I
Hello. Can I not bring my plate back,
dude? I don't know. I hate that, dude.
His face is literally in the table.
Bye. Uh, thanks for the meal. Thank
>> Hey, man. Hold up a sec. My head is God.
It feels like it's made of lead. [ __ ]
You just drove past the welcome sign,
didn't you?
>> Yeah, I did. What do you need?
>> Listen, brother. Help me out here. My
buddies and I, we we had a few welcome
drinks last night. You know, kept it
classy. And I I think I lost my mobile
out there.
>> My mobile?
>> It's an expensive one, man. The latest
model. I tore this diner apart looking
for it. Nowhere. I must have left it on
the bench by the side.
>> And what do you want from me? Go get it
yourself.
>> Man, I can't even look at the steering
wheel. I'll buff at the first turn.
Could you just swing by?
>> It's like 5 minutes. I'll make it worth
your while. I I'll cover your gas. I
swear in my life.
>> All right. Better safe than sorry.
>> You're a lifesaver. I won't forget it,
brother. I'll be right here waiting.
>> All right. Optional. Find the phone.
Okay. Well, we're going to go drive to
find this man's phone.
Crazy side quest. Crazy side quest.
We're driving all the way back to get
this random.
>> So, fill your belly. How was it?
Uh yeah, I took your advice and stopped
it to join. You were invite. They cook
with heart.
>> Hey, watch it. Don't go cool in a decent
place. Enjoy it.
>> Listen, I forgot to mention something.
Go straight to the admin office. Leave
your car in the lot and pick up the
Bhanka's company van, a radio, and the
cabin keys.
>> Van radio and cabin keys. Got it.
>> Don't mention it. And look here. Don't
mess this up. You're already losing
Natasha with that don't give a damn
attitude of yours.
>> Just don't blow this job, too. You hear
me?
>> Yeah, that's it. I'm got to go. Catch
you later.
Oh, thank [ __ ] Oh my god. I thought I
was Oh my god. I was Okay, let's just
park on the middle of the road. Perfect.
Let's look for this.
Uh on a bench here. Oh, I hear it.
Can I go up here, dude?
Oh, got it. All right, I got the phone.
Very nice little side quest. Dude, this
is so cute. You can even do like little
side quests in this game. This This game
is nice, dude. I They put so much effort
into this game. Like, actually,
skirt
skirt.
>> Also, banger music and copyright free
apparently. The music's made for the
game, I think. So, pretty pretty damn
cool. Lots of voice acting. This is
really nice.
Okay, the music's a bit.
>> I'm back, skirt. All right, there you
go. I got your phone, sir.
Well, did you find it?
>> Yep.
>> Oh, my baby. She's alive.
>> Oh, dear man. Seriously, you saved my
life.
>> My wife would have ground me into dust.
My whole client base is on here. I would
have been out of a job.
>> Are you going to pay for the gas? We had
deal.
>> Yeah. Yeah, of course. No question. Uh,
here. Take this. Keep the change. Yeah.
Good luck on the road. Keep the shiny
side up.
>> Thanks.
Take care. Help the guy achieve it.
Let's go. Oh, this is also cute to the
details. Like those guys already left
now and everything is so cute. Very,
very detailed game. I like it.
Bye, sir. All right, let's get to our
job. I feel like we've been on side
quests and all of the quests all day
long,
but now it's time. It's time to finally
get to our work. Oh,
3 hours later. State Nature Reserve
Territory.
>> Uh, comes check. This is Ilia, the new
guy. I'm at the entrance to your cab.
>> You, Ilia. You finally made it. The
fog's thick as pea soup today for sure.
Name's Toya, but everyone calls me
Mikich.
>> Uh, nice to meet you. Where where to
now? To the cabin.
>> [ __ ] to the lake. Don't be stupid. Turn
right at the fork. You can't miss it.
You got the key. Go in and get settled.
Like the stove, you'll freeze otherwise.
That's it, kid. Be on the radio tomorrow
at 8. We'll discuss tasks.
>> Got it. See you tomorrow. Over and out.
Drive to the cabin.
That's very dark.
Nice headlights. Perfect.
Could I have driven in the prologue? It
feels sort of creepy out here, but at
the same time, incredibly peaceful. I
wonder if I could have driven in the
prologue and I would have gotten
everywhere so much faster and I'm just
just walking there. I don't know, man.
All right.
Box cut up. The sandboard is knocked
over. Was there a hurricane? Oh, it was
knocked over. I didn't even see that.
Here we are.
And it's isn't it just one day later
after the thing happened with the other
one? Here it is. My home for the next 6
months.
Okay.
Oh, hold E to unlock.
Gather firewood and light the stove.
Okay. Fire's probably
Oh, right here.
Very nice. Grab your things from the
car.
Get jump scared by an old lady.
Yep. Okay. It's probably in the trunk,
honestly.
Huh? Oh, put the bag on the table. So
dark.
Oh, there you go. Uh, turn on some
lights, maybe. There we go. Jesus.
Uh, check the computer. Okay, close the
door.
Uh, sector a password. Wow, what a
profile picture. It's so nice.
Nut.
H these
um Oh. Oh, 888
84.
Oh
8884
666 as well.
Yeah.
Okay. Hey, state need to reserve camera
maintenance attractions. Following
yesterday's stool, cameras may operate
unstably.
Upon detecting signal loss or
interference within the camera
application, immediately switch to the
cam repair application. In the left
panel titled camera list, select the
device marked with a red indicator.
If the indicator flashes, it signals a
critical hardware malfunction. To access
advanced system settings, enter the
digital error code. The code is
generated automatically and broadcasted
on the primary surveillance monitor over
the static noise of the malfunctioning
camera.
Uh, okay. After entering the code, press
and hold the hole due to repair button.
Carefully monitor the progress bar fill
within the progress field. Voltage
spikes in the circuit are inevitable
during the repair process. If service
symbols appear in the combination
window, immediately confirm them by
pressing the corresponding keys on your
keyboard. Um, I guess we are. Are we
going to check the cameras? Error code
94
094. Okay. 9494.
Cam pair.
Um
9494.
Ah, perfect. Hold to repair.
Wow.
Very cool. Sweet. Okay. Substation.
Uh, night mode.
Substation
20601.
2060 110. 2060 110.
Hold to repair. Okay, this is so much
easier than I don't know. The
description seemed so complicated and
now it's actually quite easy.
Thankfully. Thankfully.
D.
Okay. And the camera on the lake.
Uh 020 45. 020 45.
G
Z.
Oh, what is it? Because I have a German
keyboard. I pressed Z, but maybe the
game thought it was Y.
Got it. Okay, noted. Noted. I will press
Y if it's
got it.
X again. Perfect. And all cameras are
fine. Perfect. Oh, jumping slime again.
No, Geod Detective.
No, no, no. I'm just going to embarrass
myself with that one. Go to sleep.
It's been exhausting. Time to get some
rest. Yeah, let's go. Let's do it.
The next day, 8:00 a.m.
Oh,
>> copy, newbie. How are you holding up?
Sleep okay in your new spot.
>> Morning. Uh, could be better, could be
worse. What's the plan for today?
>> Listen, here's the deal. Head out to the
lake and check the road. We had such a
storm pass through the day before
yesterday. Not sure if everything held
up. The guys supposedly cleared it, but
you never know.
>> Copy that. Heading out now. The trees
there are cut down. Uh, was that the
storm, too?
>> Uh, yeah. The day before you got here,
it was a storm. A nasty one. Listen,
really bad. Yeah,
>> the force still hasn't recovered.
>> Got it. All right, I'm rolling. Thanks.
Talk soon. Optional. Refill. Refill the
car. Optional. Why do I said optional?
Okay, but I think let's see if we can
drive there. I could have probably
driven last time as well.
G2 throw.
Oh my god, I could have driven there. I
was walking everything, dude.
Oh no.
Yeah, this speeds it up a bit.
Oh yeah, this is broken over there.
Skirt.
Yeah, that makes it so much easier. I
feel kind of stupid now for Oh,
>> [ __ ] huge log, but whatever. Good
thing I aced gym class back in school.
Oh, I didn't.
Wow, we're so strong.
Damn.
All right. Uh, we can park the car here.
All right. Let's go to the lake.
Toya, come in. Road before the lake was
blocked. Cleared it. It's quiet at the
lake itself, but the boat got washed up
on the shore and a couple of fish are
lying on the sand dead. It seems kind of
weird.
>> That's interesting, Newbie. Actually,
the guys cleaned everything up yesterday
afternoon. The road was clear and they
tied the boat down tight.
>> Yeah, it really is.
>> If you're up for it, cruise around the
area, see what's what. Maybe you'll find
something else. If not, just head back
to the cabin and rest until evening.
Over.
>> All right.
Optional. Look around. I'm going to look
around. I like that it uh puts it or
like there's still a marker up there and
we don't have to figure out everything
ourselves and we can probably probably
difficult to find.
Now we can park here.
We got to go. Oh, no. We kind of got to
go that way anyway.
Oh, but I don't think there's a way
here. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, this was where the
other uh thing was where there was uh
some fabric on the tree.
Listen, I'm looking around here. What's
on the other side?
>> That's a different sector than my shack.
You watch over sector A. I've got sector
B. Get it?
>> Got it. Well, it's beautiful here. Can't
argue with that.
>> Anything else, sir? Is that it?
>> Nope. Oh, that's it. Okay. Off to look
around. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.
Need to head home. But first, we're
going to keep looking around.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, great. Absolutely fantastic.
Hold up.
Hold up. Good thing I aced the gym
class.
Perfect.
All right.
Uh, there's a bucket of rotten stuff
here. Book of what? Fish. Well, I'll be
damned. I don't give a damn about it.
Either some jokers are messing around or
Altonai is bringing her offerings.
>> Altonne? Who's that?
>> Man, if I only knew for sure. Local
drunk wanders around, tells these crazy
stories. Nut job in a word.
>> You guys have a blast here. I'll give
you that. All right, over.
Sweet. All right, let's head home.
The nut job. Do I mean the old woman?
Because she's crazy. She But I mean,
maybe honestly, maybe she's not so crazy
after all because the guy at the
at the diner,
he also said something about the thing,
Almir,
something like that.
Just keep driving. Just keep driving.
>> And here we are. Yay.
Perfect.
Very nice. Very nice.
Evening of the same day.
Two more trail cams, then I'm heading
home.
Check the trail cams. Uh-oh.
Oh, something scary is going to happen.
I know it.
I'm
>> scared.
Just me, my car, and my music. My vibe
music.
Leave my car on. Some light.
Check the trail cams. One of two
uh skirt. There we go. Perfect.
Hey, we're almost there.
Dude, this is so spooky, man.
In the middle of the night,
right there. Okay.
Head home.
Doy doy.
Scary
>> thunder lightning.
It's a bit very dark.
We're almost home. I see a light. It's
probably home. Skirt.
Skirt.
The actual hell. Well, I could have
sworn I turned off the lights. Yeah,
same dude. Uh-oh. My god. Where's the
old lady?
Find out what happened in the cabin.
Optional. Oh, optional. Take the axe for
self-defense.
Come in. Someone broke into my place.
>> I'll be damned. What happened, newbie?
>> There are tracks here and an empty
fridge.
>> You've been tearing through the forest
all day. You're barely keeping your eyes
open. You're just imagining things. You
probably shoved the food somewhere
yourself and now you're panicking.
>> What the hell? I'm telling you, someone
was in my house.
>> Cut the panic. Lock yourself in and sit
tight. We'll talk tomorrow.
>> A lot of help. He was old bastard.
Dude, what do you mean? Nah, man. He's
kind No. Okay, he's kind of sus now.
Kind of sus. All right, time to clean.
Clean.
Oh, yeah. That's definitely how you
clean. You just smack it on the on the
floor.
Why is it kind of a bop?
Uh, is that all? Gather the firewood and
light the stove. Got it.
I knew I knew. I knew someone was going
to run at me or jump scare me like like
it did happen at the diner earlier. I
knew it. I knew it. Well, hello there,
watcher.
>> Holy [ __ ] You old bat. What the hell
were you doing in my cabin? Food,
life,
it's all the same. They found a
replacement for a one in fest. The
forest,
it's alive.
It doesn't take on little strangers.
Those who don't know their place, it
fills
their mouth with the dirt soon enough.
>> Why so quiet?
>> You should live, boy.
While the trail Beck is still visible.
>> Uh, who are you anyway?
>> He needs to be fed.
He needs to be a piece.
Consider your supplies
and offering to the maze. Maybe he won't
touch you tonight because of it. Or
maybe even that won't help.
>> It better help. Uh, you're a psycho and
you belong in a mental ward.
>> Listen to me, boy.
>> I'm listening.
>> And mock my words. The forest doesn't
forgive mistakes
or they'll find a replacement for you,
too, before you even have a chance to
look back.
Take care.
All right. Anyway,
uh there was an old woman here babbling
nonsense about some Almas. Who's that?
>> Oh, the old lady. That's all tonight.
You can just ignore her. We've been used
to it for a long time. She lost her mind
about 20 years ago. Since then, she's
been convinced that someone lives in the
woods. That same mom miss. Just a local
legend. Don't let it get to you.
>> Do I have to expect her every day now?
>> Come on, Ilia. Don't overthink it. She's
harmless. Just a bit eccentric.
>> Don't stress over little things. Just
get some rest.
>> All right, got it. It's just a little
bit weird, you know. I complete sector
check cameras and reports.
Okay. Uh,
well, she's going to waddle away, right?
Do I have to report her? Probably not.
Okay. Rers's cabin looks fine.
That looks fine.
Looks good.
Very nice.
Oh.
Uh, canair. Uh, okay. Cam 5 substation
01098.
01098.
Yeah, I actually have to press Y on my
keyboard for it to be recognized as it
crazy.
W
T.
Nice.
You're all good.
Fantastic.
Very nice.
Beautiful.
Oh, knife. Okay. Um,
photos.
Oh, wait. It's like 2 days later. Okay.
Very nice.
Um um
reports
uh stormy.
It's definitely stormy. Uh
I mean there was like a minor violation
though. Like when we arrived there was
like one bent like the notice board was
like kind of cooked but I don't know if
it was in the cameras but I don't think
it really matters. Camera studs. I mean
we repaired them now so they're
functional now. No.
I mean, there was one person on there,
so it doesn't really matter. Zubla,
I don't think this really matters too
much anyway.
Go to sleep. Perfect. Good night.
Good night. Night night.
It's been almost a week since I started
my new job. Everything is quiet. I'm
actually liking it. They installed new
cameras the other day. Now there are
barely any blind spots left. The
aftermath of the storm has finally been
cleared up, too. I can't stop thinking
about my son and Natasha. You can't just
cross out 10 years of marriage. Aside
from that crazy old lady, everything's
been normal. But as they say, the night
is still young.
Oh, I bet the night's still young.
Something's going to happen. Man, I brew
some seriously strong coffee. Oh [ __ ]
we're going to [ __ ] our pines. Oh no.
Time to head home, wrap up work, and
crash. Didn't get a damn bit of sleep.
Oh, it's so nice here, though.
I'm not going to throw it into the woods
here.
My mug.
Sarah.
>> Sarah. Oscar. Ilia, where are you right
now?
>> I drinking coffee and walking around.
Are you drinking again?
>> No way. Just nerves, kid. Nerves. Don't
wander in the forest for too long. Wrap
it up by evening. The air in the forest
right now. It's not good. It's heavy.
>> Except the same thing about the storm
yesterday. Listen, has anyone actually
seen the
>> seen it? And thank God for that. I said
wrap it up. So, wrap it up. Over and
out. Sure thing, Tolia. Over. Is it
really going to believe in me in my old
age? All alone, drinking myself to death
in the woods of out of pure boredom.
Could have gave Natasha a call one of
those days. Acted like a real dick
before I left.
Well,
all right.
Uh 0884.
8884. Okay.
0884
666.
Okay, cameras. Camera one. All good.
Camera two. Wonderful. Three. Perfect.
Cam four. We got one person on camera.
We got one person. Oh, wow. That's a
long code. 85 85 36 782.
Oh, I could just do it like that.
85 36 782.
Hold the repair. Nice.
Very nice. Okay.
Um.
Mhm. Mhm.
So, we only saw the guy uh the guys
walking around here who was like looking
for creepy stories like the uncanny
stories or whatever he said.
Other than that, everything
I think everything's fine except this
one guy there. Okay, report.
Uh it's sunny. I think no violations.
Camera set is functional now, I guess.
Uh, one and zoo snail.
Cool. Perfect.
Drive away the trespasser.
Okay. Drive away.
Pick him up with my car and get him out
of here, I guess.
Let's go.
Drive away. The trespasser.
Probably is some weird story to tell.
Are we going to investigate with him
together? Oh, probably not. Oh [ __ ] I'm
stuck on the fence. Oh, my bad. My bad,
chief.
I think this the wrong way.
My bad.
And crash the [ __ ] out. Oh no, I didn't
mean to turn the car like that. Oh my
god.
This way.
There you go. This way. Yeah. Perfect.
All right. Should I run him over?
Didn't work.
Hey, man.
>> Oh, hey. We met at the diner about a
week ago, right?
>> Yeah, we did.
>> Small world, huh?
>> Why is this face? H this is private
property. You get lost.
>> Oh, take it easy, man. You're just like
you were at the diner. Always so gloomy.
I'm a journalist, remember? Just
gathering material for my uncanny
stories. Colin, I check the map and this
is like the perfect spot to catch the
illness on film. I swear he's somewhere
around here. Are you seriously looking
for a yeti? I said get lost.
>> Hey. Okay, don't get mad. I'll just snap
a few shots and head out. Thank you.
>> It's so cinematic, don't you think? The
whole aesthetic. I love it.
>> Screw the aesthetic. Get the hell out of
here.
>> All right. All right, tough guy. You
convince me. See you around. Maybe if
I'm lucky, we'll cross paths again when
I finally catch my beast on lands.
>> All right. I'll make sure you leave.
Okay, perfect.
Dude, the music's a vibe. This game is a
vibe. I like it.
Damn. Do we took Did we take the long
road?
Almost there. Almost there.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Perfect.
Oh. Oh my bad. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
Uh, skirt. Perfect. There we are. Should
I refill my car again? Nope, I can't.
Okie dokie.
Night night. Good night. Night night.
Oh, we also have a little picture on the
uh side table. A couple more days
passed. After the encounter with that
crazy old lady and that curious
foreigner, everything seemed to quiet
down. Mik College and I started getting
along a bit, but I couldn't shake the
feeling that the old man was hiding
something. Every single forget it or
stay out of it from him only added fuel
to the fire. And as it turned out, my
gut didn't lie.
Well, after having breakfast like that,
time to get some work done. Okay.
Uh, what are we going to be doing today?
Investigate who is honking. Someone's
honking. Who the hell uh would show up
in a wasteland like this?
Oh, my bad.
All right, let's go. I'm missing the
pumpkin.
This way.
Perfect.
Hi.
>> Were you?
>> Hi.
>> Good morning. You're the new watcher,
Ilia, if I'm not mistaken. Uh, depends
on who's asking.
>> Leon Kativich welcome from the regional
prosecutor's office.
>> I've been assigned to clear up the cold
cases in this district. You know, over
the last 5 years, a suspiciously high
number of people have just vanished
around here.
>> Yeah, I've heard about it. Well, the
forest is big. Things happen. Uh, Michel
says there are wild animals everywhere.
>> Says a lot of things.
>> Halich, sorry. But I'm more interested
than the previous watcher.
>> Sergey Vanovich Kalashnikov.
>> You found it. She went to vacation,
didn't he?
>> That's the thing. His request for leave
is on file, but nobody's actually seen
Kalashnikov in the city.
>> Oh, wait. They're covering up that he
died here.
>> Not with his relatives. You follow
Amelia?
>> Uh-huh. I am.
>> An experienced woodsman who worked here
for 20 years just dissolved into thin
air. Are you trying to say that he's not
on vacation?
>> Kind mentor Mihalage is having trouble
keeping his story straight.
>> The official report says resigned by
choice, but in reality, nobody knows
where the hell he is. You're new here.
Keep your eyes peeled. If you find
anything strange, and I mean anything,
let me know.
>> Yes, of course.
>> Got it. Also, how didn't he start like
with his face like in our screen? Like
in the middle of a screen. Now he's so
far. What happened? He was stalking.
Holy mother of God. Why didn't Mihalage
tell me right away that Ivanage went
missing? Got to process all of this on
my way back to the cabin.
Oh, turn on.
Skirt.
Skirt.
Ah, dang it.
All right, there we go. Perfect. Let's
go home.
Reach the house and talk to him. Mhm.
Mhm. Mhm.
I wonder what he has to say about that.
Yeah. What's he going to say? What he
can't say? Oh, yeah. No, just Oh, don't
explore it. Don't forget it. Or like,
forget about it. Blah, blah, blah.
What's he going to say this time? skirt.
All right, let's talk to him.
Uh, are you there? There's a surgeon.
>> What happened, Ilia? My head is
splitting and I still have to go on
patrol.
>> An investigator just came by. Said, even
missing. Why didn't he tell me
immediately?
>> Listen, newbie, don't be mad at me. They
forbade me from talking. There was a
clear order from above. Even is on
vacation. Don't ask questions. Keep
working. And I I was happy to obey that
order. I thought if I just accepted it,
everything would resolve itself.
>> From above, a man has disappeared. Stop
playing games. Tell me how it really
happened.
>> Yeah. Get comfortable, Lilia, and
listen. I'll lay it all out for you as
it really happened, not what's written
in the reports.
>> Oh [ __ ] Okay, I didn't expect that.
>> The night I went missing. 2:27 a.m.
>> Since I'm senior in both rank and years
of service, my shack is packed with
sensor arrays and all kinds of smart
techno crap. Control point my ass. That
night I couldn't sleep for the life of
me. The wind was howling like crazy.
That's us.
>> Log frame was creaking so hard I thought
it collapsed.
>> Uh, okay. We pack ranger. We park
rangers aren't allowed firearms at all.
Just a radio and a flashlight. But you
never know what might happen in the
woods.
So, what am I doing?
Holy.
Go back inside.
Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Oh, what does that mean?
What do I do? What do I do? Don't panic.
Do I drive now? Nope. Oh, come in.
Ivanage, do you hear me? Oh, hold up.
>> Mitch, you see what time it is? What the
[ __ ]
>> Christ, finally, Sergey, we've got a
situation. Every camera on your sector
just went dark. The power at this
substation is flatlined. Do you hear me?
Zero power.
>> I'll check in the morning.
>> What for the branch, Sergey? Didn't you
hear me? The alarm was triggered. The
lock's been ripped off. If there's a
fire or a short, uh, the whole damn
forest is going up in smoke and your
cabin with it. They're bury us alive for
this. Please just go look. If the
inspector shows up and sees a panel
trash, we're not just fired. We're
looking at jail time.
>> The signal is [ __ ]
>> Think about it. The new guy arrives
tomorrow. What are we going to hand him?
A pile of ash. Don't leave me out dry
here. I can see it from the monitor.
Something's wrong. Just a quick look see
and get get out.
>> Fine. I'll go.
>> Oh, yeah. So, we're technically he's
kind of lowkey the reason why we're dead
because we told him to investigate.
Go on, but be careful. You hear me?
Don't play the hero. Anything falls off,
you get on the radio immediately. I'm
right here waiting on you.
>> Even do you hear me?
>> I was sitting on pins and needles. Tried
calling him another 10 times. Dead
silence.
>> That's the voice to the guy on the
leftly because of that damn storm. Then
I heard a shot. Just one. Sharp. Short.
>> Not really. Oh, we heard a shot.
What's happening there? Answer. Damn it.
>> Driving there takes 40 minutes through
the mud. And I
>> I bitched out.
>> Bitched out. Helia. Just sat there
staring at that red light blinking on
the monitor.
Decided to call administration. Thought
they'd sort it out.
Dispatch, this is sector B. We've got an
emergency in sector A. Power is out. The
watcher isn't responding and I heard a
gunshot. Get someone out here now.
Please calm down. You're 20 kilometers
out. In this weather, it's a 90 minutes
drive at least. Have some patience. Most
likely a tree fell on the power line.
Contact us again once the sign will
return out.
>> You bastards. You office sitting
parasites.
What are we doing now?
>> Who the [ __ ] are you? Why'd you kill the
deer? Huh? Not enough for you, prick.
Did you have
>> before he died? Who are you talking to?
>> Drop the shotgun. Now, carrying a
shotgun in nature reserve is a crime.
You hear me? I'm calling the deputy.
You're leaving here in handcuffs.
>> Get out of there.
>> Why are you quiet? Do you do you even
understand what I'm saying to you?
>> Did that voice fit with the That was the
person on the right. Did the voice fit
the I know. They sound so much younger.
I don't know.
Uh, all right. That's how it happened.
Dillia, I sent him there myself with my
own hands. When I heard the shot, I
didn't run to save him. I locked myself
in like a rat and sat there until
morning.
>> You just left him there.
>> What could I do? I was all alone. In the
morning, they called from the office,
straight from the city, Gileia. They
said, "Zip your lips." Said there were
no gunshots. There was a thunderstorm on
firecrackers and Danish
is on vacation.
>> How the freak can he do that? You heard
what was happening.
>> What was left for me to do, kid? They
said if I said one word too many, I'd
face criminal charges,
>> claiming I killed him while drunk. The
bastards, so I gave in. But I can't take
it anymore, Ilia. I don't have the
strength to look at this forest. I
flinch at every shadow. I'm quitting in
a week. I already submitted my papers.
>> So, you've been carrying this inside you
all this time. God,
>> forgive me, kid, for the rudeness and
for not telling you sooner. I just I
just didn't want to hear that gunshot
again when I'd be too afraid to run to.
You're young. You have a life ahead of
you. But I ended here that very night.
>> I understand. Maybe I need to process
all this. Uh, go get some rest over.
Wait. Oh, that's us with a wife and our
daughter or son. Taken shorty before
everything fell apart. Oh, the
prosecutors live for these kind of
cases. The drunken brawl, the cover up,
bodies in the war. Ah, no. I can't do
that. We all make mistakes.
It work.
Let's go. Oh, a few more days passed.
Walov didn't show his face again. And
honestly, it's for the best. Uh, Mialage
and I are like two conspirators now.
Bound together by the same rotten truth.
He knows that I know, and it brought us
strangely close. I can see him falling
apart. The old man just wants to scrape
through this week and vanish. As for me,
for the first time in a long while, I
took a hard look at my at my myself. I
used to blame everything on my rotten
attitude and bad luck. But out here in
the silence, lying to myself became too
damn hard.
Yeah. Fair,
fair, fair, fair. All right, this is the
last one and that's it for today.
Return to the cabin.
Why is it such a banger, dude?
Oh, careful. Oh, that was tight.
Uh, this way. Probably this way.
Here we are. Yippee.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Sorry. Sorry.
Sorry.
Here we are.
And skirt. Perfect. All right. Get me
out. Yep. Perfectly parked.
Oh.
Nice. Let me thank you.
One second, guys.
That's it. I'm never
I'm never driving to that spot again.
>> You're asking about reception. You can
get a signal if you go right from the
substation between the rocks. There's a
path up to the ridge. I used to. I used
to. We always caught a signal there when
we needed to call the city.
>> Thanks, Tia. You're drinking again.
>> A little kid, so the shadows on the
corners don't move so fast. Go ahead and
call your wife before the sun sets. If I
don't answer, don't worry. I'm turning
in early.
>> All right. It's tough.
>> Get some rest. Over. Pick up the phone.
Oh, there
reached the location. All right, get
back into our car.
Oh my god, I keep doing Oh my god, I
keep walking.
Oh, now I can drive through here.
I didn't turn off my car. Is does a
matter? I don't know.
Okay.
I'm not going to hear my car the entire
time, right? Because I didn't turn it
on.
I can still hear it.
>> Hello, Ilia. Is that you? What's wrong?
I'm at work. I've only got a minute.
>> Uh, Natasha, hi. Don't hang up. I just
wanted to hear your voice.
>> Oh my god. Elia, you're like a child.
Honestly, you're 30 years old, still
playing the romantic while our life is
falling apart. I've got the papers
ready. When you're back, we'll sign
everything and end this like adults.
>> Natasha, I'm not talking about the
papers. I've been thinking a lot. I'm
sorry for yelling at you before.
>> Yeah, I'm just tired. Tired of waiting
for you to grow up. Waiting for you to
stop finding yourself and just start
being there for us.
>> You're right. I was an idiot and I've
seen things you Natasha people disappear
in an instant.
>> What are you talking about? What do you
mean vanish?
Idia, are you okay? You sound strange.
>> Everything's fine. I I'll come back a
different person. I promise. Just
forgive me if you can.
>> Okay.
Yeah. Just be careful. You sound like
you're saying goodbye. Don't scare me.
Demo was asking about you today. I'll
tell him you called.
>> Tell him. Tell him Dad will be back
soon. And this time I won't let you
down. Take care of yourself. I love you
both. Wow. My first normal conversation
in a year.
[ __ ] your wife.
Let's
see if we can get a couple of days. And
I'm not staying here either.
Evening of the same day.
Phew. Don't forget to grab the
flashlight.
Oh, on the floor. Yeah, sure. Got to
find way to light the stove. It's going
pitch black. Got to light the stove. Uh
it's getting chilly.
Hand.
Oh.
Oh. Huh.
Oh, okay. This specific one before that
I was able to take it from there.
Complete sector check cameras and
reports. Got it. Now just fill out the
reports and I can call it a night.
Uh cameras.
No night mode. Okay.
What's that? Is that the sun or is that
fire?

faulty ones, but I don't know. Should I
Should I do faulty if I repair them? I'm
not sure. One person.
Uh, a zuber. Got it. I don't think this
really matters anyway, but yeah.
Drive away the trespass again. Okay.
Drive, drive, drive. All I do is drive.
Tia, come in. Do you hear me? That
foreigner has snuck into my sector
again.
Uh, Mikage, we need to call the cops. We
need help. Please don't tell me your
[ __ ] face is seeping again.
Bro, I always go on the freaking wrong
side of the car. It's crazy.
I promise you I know which side you
drive. I promise you.
Can I go this way,
bro? What?
We will.
Maybe the trespassor is a goner.
I'm a goner.
Somebody catch my breath.
I'm a goner.
Skirt.
Where did he go? Well, we just heard a
scream, so I don't know, dude.
Zultan. Zultan, you piece of [ __ ] What?
Listen
to the voice. Record the logs.
>> Wait, how did he take a picture of
himself?
>> What do you mean?
>> Just crossing into the Republic. Turk
mythology calls the Elmiss a wild man.
Not exactly Bigfoot men, but something
halfway between human and beast. They
say if you lock eyes with him, your
sanity just evaporates.
Serious stuff. In 2006, it sounds like
total [ __ ] but if even a fraction
of it is true, my story for uncanny
stories is going to be legendary.
Got a trunk full of tapes.
Let's see what we find.
Day two still on the move. The local
like I'm an idiot. The second

stayed dead silent. Typical honestly
>> crossed path was this guy Ilia.
Surprisingly chill dude. Didn't even
roll his eyes at me. Just told me to
watch my bag. Said this place is the
kind of hole where if you go missing,
nobody comes looking.
Grim for sure.
But that only makes it more interesting.
Hiked way of the main road. Ilia was
right. It's wild out here. So creepy.
Zero reception. GPS died a couple of
hours ago.
>> According to the rumors, the mis hunts
these specific woods where people just
go
gun.
I have to see it for myself.
Hope I brought enough tapes. Fingers
crossed. What the hell? Ran into a
ranger and get this. It's the same guy
from the diner.
>> Hi.
>> He actually works here. Kick me out.
Said no trespassing.
He's not a bad guy. Just doing his job.
But he clearly has no clue what I'm
after. So annoying.
I'm going to have to bypass their
outpost through the ravines.
>> Slip through the clearing. I'm inside
the restricted zone now. There's this
natural silence.
Not even the birds are singing. The
camera sensors are acting up. Something
is definitely off. Almost certain that
someone
or something is watching me from the
shadows.
>> Probably because I just heard a scream.
>> Someone was watching you about this.
>> I found the old trail one side. This is
Stephanie.
Camera's on. Night vision sensor is
going absolutely hay on it. Take my
breath to see him. Wait,
>> dude. Dude, who the hell are you? I'm a
journalist. Please stay back. Get away
from me.
>> Well, great. That's it. Wonderful. Find
Zultan.
Okay.
Oh [ __ ] What the hell? Oh no. Oh wait,
hold up. Please answer. The phone is
missing. Something bad has happened. No
response. Frig. Fine. Do whatever you
want. I'm going after him. Can't just
leave the guy. Oh,
a deep in the wood woods. Roughly 20
minutes later.
Uh-oh. Stinky.
Sultan.
I've gone deeper into the forest
northwest. I think about 20 minutes from
the fence. You old drunk bastard. If you
can hear me, call for help.
I need to hold the walkie.
Do you hear that weird echo?
Is he here somewhere with his
walkie-talkie?
Did I hear footsteps?
This feels incredibly wrong. A fence,
bucket, a pile of trash. Who does all
this belong to?
Candles.
I have no clue what to expect, by the
way. I I can I don't know what's going
to happen.
Hello.
This way. This way.
Oh, I hear footsteps. And there's a
light in the distance. Is that my house?
No. What kind of shack is this anyways?
Get inside the house.
I can't get through here. I need to find
another way around.
Told you. There's an old shack here.
Looks abandoned. I think I can see a
light inside. Call for help.
Oh, hell no.
Sultan, dude. What the freak?
Freak. That's the last thing I need. The
flashlight's dead. Oh my god. Let's take
this. This one.
What is that awful stench? Oh, no. We
can What?
That is from that crazy old lady
addressed to someone named Isou. Holy

to my friend Alu.
>> Oh wow. Story time again for 10 years.
>> You haven't left the house at all. I
want you to know despite all this
disgusting rumors spreading through the
village, I'm still your best friend.
>> I'mma constantly ask about you. We both
know you aren't to blame for this. If
you ever want to vent or just sit in
silence, come over. I'm just going to
read over it quicker. I just can't do
it. September 1976. Sweetie, I'm
terrified for you. I ever since we met
on Friday, I haven't been able to find
any peace. I beg you, don't do anything
reckless to yourself. In September,
we'll go to the city together, enroll in
college, and everything will be all
right. I promise. Your best friend, Ali,
>> October 1976. I know you're alive. I
don't believe them. I won't believe
anyone. I know for a fact that you are
alive. I will find you. I absolutely
will find you.
>> September, I hope you're doing well. I'm
100% sure you're reading these letters
even though they keep disappearing. Mama
says your parents are the ones talking,
taking them, but I know it's you. Things
are going really bad for your parents.
Oh,
>> uh, it's been a long time since you
heard from me. I found you. I told my
parents where you were, and they locked
me up in a psychiatric ward. Yes, I
turned to the bottle. Didn't make it to
the city like we dreamt. And I don't
have any children, unlike you, Isu. How
old is he? 16. All grown up now. The
letters go unanswered. You don't want to
talk. I understand. But I will help with
food, toys. I'll leave treats under the
big pine tree. Oh, that's why she took
the food earlier from our cabin.
>> November 19.
>> Leaving some warm clothes. I'm doing
really poorly. Everyone thinks I'm
insane. The militia just laughs. No one
believes a single word I say. I've
already spent time in an asylum, a god
forsaken place. But I didn't betray you,
I never will. Next year, they want to
fence off the territory. They are
reestablishing the reserve. Think about
what to do next. Here are my savings and
some warm clothes here. I'll deny
>> May 2001.
>> All right, I'll give you the last one
from her reading.
>> The strange disappearances in the forest
aren't you doing?
I'm trying to help. I truly am.
I feel so guilty after all
back in 76.
It could have been me instead of you.
This is my last letter.
I'll keep leaving the offerings, but I
can't keep writing into the void
anymore.
Goodbye. I
>> Goodbye. Damn. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm
getting tired. My patience is leaving
me. And like I I don't mind story time.
I honestly don't mind it when we get a
bit of lore, but like seven entire pages
after we just had another I think seven
pages of lore read out to us.
So yeah, I just wrapped it up a bit.
It's just too frequent and it's just too
much at once, you know.
Oh my god. Oh my god. I need to find
Zultan and get the hell out of here.
Hello. I heard some knocking.
Oh. Oh god. This is Kalashnikov's ID
pass. And next to it is a jar with some
unrecognizable contents. I don't even
want to think about what's inside. Uhoh.
No, that's him.
Excuse me.
I I did
I I did lock this door. I I did I did
lock it. I I locked it.
>> There's a newspaper in my cabin.
>> Locked it.
>> Guys, if you want to read this, feel
free to pause and read it for yourself.
Okay. The well, the plan worked. July. I
gave birth a baby boy. He has special
needs. His face is slightly deformed.
Oh, that's probably him. Barely cried at
all. Just started with those eyes. He
found a creek in the woods, stared at
his reflection, let out a shriek. He got
scared. Ever since then, he compared to
look himself. Found a mask in the
forest. Now he never takes off.
15 years he's fully grown now. Still
won't take off that mask. So, was it the
guy who was just outside? Because I
think he was wearing a mask. Keeps
coming to the pine tree leaving treats.
Bless her. And he watches her. Says we
need to eliminate anyone who enroes
parameter. Makes her an easy step. What
a 15-year-old child should be thinking.
20-minute walk from here by the lake.
They are building a fence. Looks like
they want to restore the reserve. My son
spent almost all the time in a cellar
crawl space. That's his base. He said
everything up down there. He brings
things from the forest. Backpacks,
clothes, cameras, hides it all down
there. My little provider.
My legs have completely stopped working.
First they achd and then they just gave
out in a single night. I'm bedridden. I
can't get up. It's become hard to
swallow. My words get muddled. My son,
he brings food, takes care of me. I
don't even want to think about what will
happen if something happens to me.
December 2005. I've gone completely
silent. Uh can only make grunting
noises. My speech is entirely gone. I
can hear him sharpening metal from down
in the crawl space. A constant scraping
sound all day long. He's down there in
his base and I'm up here all alone.
He'll be completely on his own soon.
Dear God, tell me. What did I do to
deserve this? Okay, as you can see, I
ended up reading out everything, but you
know, plan worked out the well. Um,
one of the old hunting cabin. Okay.
Okay. Maybe one suspect is hard, but
what choice do I have after what
happened in the village? I'm never going
back. Okay, got it. Very nice.
So, that's a child out there walking
alone. And oh,
killing people
provided.
>> Oh, hi
Forester.
You actually came.
Ah,
my god.
I thought it was him again.
>> Easy, easy. Don't move. I'll I'll figure
something out. Just hang in there, man.
>> No. Stop. Come on.
It's too late.
I feel the cold.
It's too much blood.
>> Don't talk [ __ ] You hear me? We're
getting out of here. Just don't close
your eyes.
>> Legendary report, huh?
What did he found? That crazy man. He's
not the old miss.
He's worse. He's
Tell him. Tell everyone.
Don't let this whole
swallow the truth.
Please.
Everything.
So,
Sultan. Sultan. Wake up. Hey. God damn
it. No, no, no. He's not breathing. Oh
my god.
It's just you.
Cool. My bad.
Okay. Please don't tell me we have to do
the interaction again.
>> Okay. Okay. We can just Yeah. Skip it.
>> Can I hide here somewhere?
You
>> Excuse me, dude. The microphone peak. It
was in the green. Green. Green. It
didn't even go to yellow.
This is the one, guys. Don't worry about
it. Maybe I turn off my light or
something. I don't know.
All right, I turn off my light already.
It's just you and me. The forest is
asleep and it's time for us to sleep,
too.
You've gotten so so so
weak.
What's wrong, mama? Me? Are you having
those bad dreams
again? You're You're not doing
well. Mommy, I I can see that you're
sick. Don't be scared. Won't leave you.
Just let's just let you go so I won't be
sick anymore.
I I love you so much. Mom me.
Come out, you piece of [ __ ] I'm not
afraid of you. You hear me?
Come out you son of a
God. You monster.
You're going to pay for it. Finish. I
won't let you take the kid too. You
bastard.
Sura, forgive me, old friend. Ilia, if
you're alive, run, kit, run.
Holy [ __ ] he stabbed him. No way. He
died for us. Also, why the why is she
like halfway in the bed? Uh, anyway,
he he just killed us. Oh, wait. Oh, I
was right. Yeah, the gurgling noise and
everything. Yeah, I guess she said, "If
it wasn't for you, I think that what
would have happened to me. How do I get
out of here? Rest in peace, old man. No
way he sacrificed himself for us now,
man. This is horrible. Just get me out
of here. Do I go back down here?
Why am I still on the stairs?
So tired. So tired.
So tired.
I'll Okay, I know. I didn't see it said
I'll hide under the stairs. Oopsie.
Bye-bye. Sorry.
Fair. So tired. So tired.
So tired.
I want to eat.
Eat
and sleep.
Sleep.
Hey.
H. Let's get out of here, please.
There we go. Get in the car and run over
the psycho.
>> That's his car. I need to get to it.
The right to a normal life. Complete the
game.
I lost track of time, but roughly an
hour later, the militia arrived. A whole
squad. The entire time. He wasn't even
sure I was alive. He just came and if it
weren't for him, my life most likely
would have ended right then and there.
>> I was taken to the hospital and
questioned at first. Hardly anyone
believed my story, but eventually the
case were close to bodies. Anyone who
ever left were handed over to their
relatives.
Okay, I have a bit more time to read. 20
years have passed since then. Natasha
and I are doing well and de father
himself now. But then I straightened
myself out immediately. Paid off my
debts, got a job at a decent company. I
moved up to the Korea moved up the Korea
ladder.
>> I found something that Eu to Shva never
had.
>> The right to a normal life
cinema. Dude, the music's so good.
Oh, look at all the voice acting. Very
nice. Very cool. Very cool. Very cool.
GG's.
Um, so you can see that the the deaf did
the the dev definitely put a lot of work
into this game and a lot of like love
towards the details and everything and
to make the game seem a bit alive with
all the NPCs walking and they're all
voice acted. So that was really cool.
But like all the
all the, you know, driving around, it
was a a tiny bit too much. It took a bit
too much space of the game. there was
too much space of like nothing too much
and I wasn't the biggest fan of the lore
like all the lore dump towards the end.
But other than that, it was good. I
still en enjoyed my stay and yeah, it
was a good game. It was a good game.
Anyway, if you've made it to here, thank
you so much for watching. Don't forget

The video features a gameplay walkthrough of the horror game 'Uncanny Tales: The Watcher'. The player takes on the role of a new ranger in a nature reserve during 2006. As the story unfolds, the player deals with the eerie atmosphere of the forest, bizarre interactions with a local woman who believes a creature called 'Almas' lives in the woods, and the investigation into the disappearance of the previous ranger. The narrative culminates in the discovery of dark secrets involving the previous ranger's fate, a mentally ill local resident, and his son, ultimately leading to a confrontation that the protagonist narrowly survives.
