>> The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of

market, harnessing the power of
Bloomberg data.
>> I'm Carol Master along with Tim Stenick.
Let's get to it with Avalon Pernell.
She's Bloomberg News equities reporter.
[music] She's in the house. Um, we had
some postmarket uh trading around
Universal Health. What did we get?
>> We did. They did report their second
quarter earnings and to say the least
did not look too great. It is falling
now about 5.3%. That's ticker UHS and
that's after they reported their second
quarter profit that fell short and also
adjusted IBIDA that uh missed
expectations. They also trimmed their
overall guidance for the full year and
the midpoint of that guidance also
missed expectations. So, generally
speaking, very different from what we
saw last week from Tenant Healthcare,
which jumped 20% and had their best week
in over a year after reporting much
better than expected earnings as a
fellow peer in the hospital space. So,
definitely something we'll be keeping an
eye on as those notes roll in. H, that's
interesting, right? I mean, they're all
not the same, so we get that. Um, so
yeah, and this one's down a lot this
year. I mean, are most of these names
down for the year?
>> Yes. I mean, investors have a lot of
question marks about how exactly
patients will be paying for services.
Are they going to continue to go to the
ER, which I mean, just because you don't
have health insurance doesn't mean
you're not going to get sick. Correct.
>> So, it's definitely taking a hit for a
lot of hospitals across the board.
>> And that just drives up costs um all
along. Uh let's go to the Energy Patch.
>> Well, Energy names had a terrible day
today, but not everybody.
>> Exactly.
>> Lower, right?
>> Exactly. [clears throat] Baker Hughes,
that's ticker BKR, gaining 5.8% 8% to
finish its biggest 1-day jump since
April 24 and that is partially because
of their earnings. They reported profit
for the second quarter that really beat
expectations and they also boosted their
guidance for the year and even their
orders through 2028 amid rising demand
despite the Iran war which has caused a
lot of challenges to their revenue.
>> Yeah. Oil field services and equipment
what
>> in the S&P 500 energy was the worst
performing industry group at the bottom
down 2% today. Hm. Yeah,
it's it's that one I find perplexing.
>> Every energy name was lower except for
including baby.
>> We're a little slow in our thinking
today. Have [laughter] you noticed?
>> Well, it's like I already moved on.
>> Yeah. Come on.
>> I'm talking to me.
>> Keep up. Keep up. Keep up. Keep up. All
right, let's go to JBS. Love this. Yes.
Ticker JBS. They jumped 10% to notch
their biggest one day gain on record.
And that's after the US Department of
Agriculture officially announced that
Mexican cattle imports can restart in
about 30 days. That's after over a year
of border restrictions related to the
fillet. [laughter]
>> Okay, we're going to let Avalon finish,
but there's a lot of
>> Sorry,
>> Carol's got thoughts on this. Part of
that jump as well is because City did
have a great note out saying that they
actually see JBS as potentially the best
the primary beneficiary of this policy
change given its industryleading
exposure to US beef as well. What's your
favorite cut of meat?
>> Uh I don't know.
>> What's your favorite cut? What kind of
meat do you like? Do you eat meat? Oh, I
>> Well, I [laughter] you know I can't
always
>> I do like a steak.
>> There's a lot of vegetarians in my New
York strip pesarians. What? That's a
good choice.
>> Yeah.
>> Give me a good fillet. A little Bernese.
Um, it's just not big enough, Carol, for
me.
>> Oh,
>> as you know.
>> Yeah, you're like a tomahawk. It's just
about
>> We have done [laughter] We've done a
couple steak dinners recently and you
know it doesn't it's not a pretty sight.
>> We went somewhere and it was like this
is a work thing and then we was like,
how much is it? No, we can't do that.
[laughter]
>> Those tomahawks can cost3 or $400,
right?
>> Yeah. No, no, we're not going to order.
>> We did not do that.
>> But I want to get back to the story.
>> Oh, sorry.
>> Uh, and yeah, the politics around this
because, you know, it's very political.
It's on the one hand there is a rise in
beef prices and that's inflationary and
yeah that affects voters. On the other
hand there's a very important
constituency which is American farmers
and they don't want to have uh imports
of Mexican
>> coming in
>> beef and Brazilian Argentinian and the
like. So yeah
>> it's a delicate [music] dance and as you
say uh political and so on and so forth.
