Path of Exile 2 - Are Simulacrums Worth Doing?
352 segments
Hey everyone and welcome to another loot
video. Today we have loot from 30
simulacrims. I only wanted to do 30 just
for like a small tasting of what we can
get for like the average simulacum. And
as is tradition, we will be running the
last one together. I already have the
portal open, so I think we can just get
right into this. Now, real quick, I am
on Doriani. We have unlimited revives
here, so we don't need this node, but I
am using the increased effectiveness per
explicit modifier on the map. I do have
a radiation for plus one level. And then
I do have a small increase to either the
prefix or suffix modifiers when opening
maps. And in order to open a simulacum
in a map, you need a fogcoed area. And
you just do maps to slowly increase the
deliriousness in this like fogcoed area.
You need it to be at least 100%. And
then you can rightclick a simulacum in
your inventory, leftclick the map, and
that will spawn one of these mirrors.
And that's how you run these simulacums.
And how to get this fog covered area,
you need to run three delirium tablets
in just any map. And when you complete a
map, you have a chance to spawn a grand
mirror somewhere else. And this is what
that would look like. We have a grand
mirror on this node. So if you run a map
say like over here with three tablets,
three delirium tablets, that is how you
would spawn a grand mirror somewhere
else. You would path over to that. And
then when you complete this map, you can
actually direct the fog wherever you
almost wherever you want. So I just put
my fog over here. And with the tutorial
out of the way, I think we can get into
this. We're not going to do the entire
thing. We're just going to do probably
the first wave and the last wave. Give
you a little showcase. Now, for this
build, it isn't too difficult. I'm just
going to put down two totems,
wait for the enemies to spawn, and then
we can just kind of like left click a
little bit,
and then I just kind of like run around
in circles collecting my life and mana
remnants
while periodically placing down my spell
totems so they don't despawn.
because it is very easy to get
overwhelmed in simulacums
if like 40 enemies spawn and just start
punching you in the face.
And that's wave one. Now, something I do
want to mention, we have these mirror
reflection things. I usually take two
escalating threats just so we can get a
couple more modifiers. And then I will
just stack unique enemies. I don't think
there's a correct way to do this or a
wrong way to do this, but this is my
selection. So, I'm going to get my
modifiers first
and then I will get my unique enemies. I
think you have about a 20% chance to not
like break the other mirrors when
selecting one. So, if you are able to
select the escalating threats and the
other two don't break, I would then take
the extra unique enemy and then if the
last mirror doesn't break, then I will
take the extra packs. But that is
usually my selection. Okay, so we have
my second selection over here. So again,
I want two escalating threats and they
both broke again. unfortunate.
Loot isn't looking too good right now,
but now we can start getting some unique
enemies up in here. And we get another
selection. So again, I'm just going to
stack more modifiers. And then the pack
size one broke.
All right, I think we have one more wave
to do.
two potent liquid contempts. I feel like
that's a pretty good drop. Hopefully I
don't die on the final wave.
That would be uh a little sad. My XP
just keep dodge rolling around.
Again, it is pretty easy to get
overwhelmed here, so don't uh take this
area for granted.
Come on. Big drop. Wait a minute. Is
there Oh, no. Okay, I think we're done.
Loot time.
A diver. That's not bad. We take those.
We are guaranteed a Raven's Reflection.
We even got an exceptional hood. This
place does kind of spit out
exceptionals, so we'll take this. I have
not been keeping track of the trash
uniques. I usually do, but not this
time. And now I think we can take a look
at the loot. So first I have been
keeping track of all of my emotion drops
in my delirium stash tab. So in here we
have 36 Raven's reflections. So that's
not too bad. However, all of the other
emotions are kind of not so good. So
we're maybe looking at seven divines in
here. mainly because I just got two more
potent liquid contempts. Without that
drop, I think the total value for
everything else in here for all the
emotions would be maybe five divines.
But now we have two tabs. Voices
question mark. This is where you get the
voices sapphire. 1,200
divines unidentified. Wait for it. We
did not get one. Unless we have another
tab over here. And I do have a clip that
I want to show you. But before we get in
there, we can add to this a little bit
more loot. Another stack of divines. We
can see just how many exalts simulacrims
were spitting out. We have a couple
graders. We have one perfect. We have a
couple greater chaos. Again, I wasn't
keeping track of all of the trash
uniques. All of these are one X. We
don't care about these. But I do have
four megalomaniac diamonds. And these
are just nearly impossible to price
check. If I tried price checking any of
these, we're just not going to see any
on the market. So, I don't think any of
the combinations I got are any good.
Immunity to bleeding.
Increased cold damage, probably not.
Attack damage after shape-shifting with
armor, maybe. So, just nothing here is
really looking too good. Even this
triple one with increased armor. War
cries. Wait a minute. And then curse.
So, just not a whole lot of synergy
here, unfortunately. We do have one
unique struggle scream amulet. I have no
idea what these do. Oh, yeah. You can
have additional instilled modifiers.
Does this roll in like a range, I
wonder? Or is it just always three? It
might just always be three. So, I don't
think there's any value here. Yeah, two
exalts uncorrupted. But we only got one
of these. And then we just have some
belts, a couple twilight relic keys. I
guess we can crack these open. and one
semideent unique item drop. Now, what do
we have in this tab again? I have a clip
that I want to show you. All right, so I
think I'm on wave two. We get the loot
explosion and there it is. A heavy belt
and it's a waste gate. Yeah, there's
actually nothing in this tab. No voices,
no head hunter, nothing. So, that's a
little unfortunate. But now we can take
a look at the input cost. So I bought my
simulacrims a long time ago. They were
three divines each and now I think
they're like 2.7 so they haven't gone
down too much but the input was about 90
divines and one of my maps actually
glitched. I think they fixed it but the
the worm enemy the woodworm thing bosses
would sometimes spawn inside of its body
and just glitch the entire simulacum.
So, I actually lost a map. So, my my
investment was 31 simulacrims or 93
divs. And now we can start plugging what
we got into the loot. And if we just
look at the value of things, it's really
not looking good so far. But maybe we'll
make a miracle happen. Now, we got 459
exalts, and that is just barely a
divine. We got 11 greater exalts though
and one big perfect. You know what?
That's not a bad start. We got almost 70
chaos orbs and five greater chaos. The
chance orbs, those don't really matter
too too much, but I guess we will
include them. We got six of those. About
1/10enth of a divine. Not bad. Every
little bit helps. We got four orbs of
anulment and 31 divines. But
unfortunately, we have all of these
uniques. So, zero zero zero zero value
for all of these. Again, I wasn't
keeping track of exactly how many of
each of these I got. I'm sure, you know,
with the right corruption or the right,
you know, roll or something, one of
these might maybe have had a one in 500
chance of being like a divine or two,
but I just I just let him go. Deal with
it. And then we got again one struggle
scream zero value. We got three melting
maelstroms. I was keeping track of
these. I missed the OG ones. One click
restores all your mana. 0.1 the glory
days, but now they're just kind of
garbage. So I got three of them.
Anyways, the megalomaniacs, I don't
think there's any value. I mean, maybe
let's let's price check this one. Which
one is the? We don't need master of
hex's, so we can get rid of this. What
about the damage and the war cry? It
doesn't exist on the market. Oh, wait.
Identified any. There's one listed 9
days ago for 10. Probably no value.
Maybe five. And even then, I don't think
that would sell. And then I already
mentioned earlier that the total value
of the emotions we got, I mean, that's
maybe five divines. We did just get two
more semidecent ones. So maybe we can up
this to seven. But I probably won't even
waste my time selling these honestly.
And then we have the Raven's
Reflections. And these will save us
because they are a little over two
divines each. We got 36 of these. We are
guaranteed to get at least one. And then
I got six maps that dropped two. So for
me, I was getting a double drop every
five maps. And if we plug this in here,
I mean, 40 divines profit. Not even
because I probably wouldn't even waste
my time selling these emotions. It's not
looking good. I have returned. I was
selling some of the ravens reflections
and my price was incorrect. They're not
2.2 divines each. It's 2.2 Raven's
reflections for a divine. So, that is
actually about 0.5.
and we lost currency doing this. So,
with this new information dropping, I
highly recommend you stay away from
simulacrims unless you're just going to
grind out 200 of them hoping that you
get the voices to drop because it's not
looking good. Now, of course, a voices
sapphire unidentified I believe is at
least 1,200 divines. So, if we had
gotten one of these, it would have been
looking pretty good. And we can see a
voices identified goes for 500 divines,
but these only have two sockets
unidentified. They are almost 1300
divines now. So if you identify one of
these, that could be an 800 divine
scroll of wisdom. So identify these at
your own risk. And something else you
should keep in mind is these are also
weighted to roll two sockets more often.
So, we can see there's almost 200 on the
market, but if we filter out the two
socket ones, three sockets, there's only
probably like 25 of these on the market,
you could potentially make a lot of
currency doing it, but you have a 80%
chance of just losing 800 divines. So,
again, you know, do that at your own
risk. And of course, if you hit the
jackpot, again, we can just like look at
the waiting. These are very, very rare.
Maybe one in 15, maybe one in 10, maybe
one in 20 for each like voices you
identify. And these could be like six
mirrors, but again, at least 80% chance
to lose 800 divines with that scroll of
wisdom if you identify. So just keep
that in mind. Now, I would say don't go
into simulacrim farming expecting to get
one of these. I would say the chance to
obtain this is probably around one in a
100, maybe one in 150. It's going to
take you about sixish minutes to get
through each run. And of course, you
still have to like set up each area. You
have to do the maps to get the grand
mirrors. So, there is a little bit of
setup. There is a little bit of input
cost as well. So, again, I'd recommend
not going into simulacrims trying to get
the chase drop because it could be one
in 200. You could do 300 runs and get
one. Like, you could get unlucky. You
could do 300 runs and get nothing. So,
just please keep that in mind. I don't
think I'm going to do any more
simulacrims. I just wanted to do a
handful of these. Just loot from 30. Get
a small tasting for what can drop. And I
think that is going to be it for me. I
think I can stop here. And I mean, it's
not over yet. We do have a couple belts.
So before we sign off, I think we can
use just a couple of these.
Come on, we are overdue for a big money
drop,
please.
And head hunter. Maybe next time. And we
also have the guiding palm of the heart.
Uncorrupted. These are four div for a 1
in 100ish
chance to hit a palm of the dreamer. You
know what? Holy even quality this one.
And
we lost. So we also have a breach tablet
and five additional rares with 18%
reduced pack size. That might be a
couple exults. I guess we can also
before we go identify these three
Twilight Requory keys. Maybe we can
squeeze a head hunter out of one of
these. All right, first key. Come on.
Aventor's gamble. Wait a minute. We can
identify that. I'm not greedy. Just 35%
in each resistance. That would make me
pretty happy. All right, key number two.
Let's see what we can get.
That's not going to do it. And one final
key. All right, let's see what we can
get.
A widow hail. Wait a minute. If that's
like 240 plus%, we can evolve that.
Let's just quickly identify this. That's
not going to do it. What do we have over
here? 240. Wait a minute. I don't
usually quality these. The physical
damage, that's not really doing a whole
lot, but that's not going to do it. And
with that, I think we are just about
done for today. So as always everyone

This video details the creator's experiment running 30 Simulacrums in Path of Exile to evaluate their profitability. After explaining the setup process and showing gameplay, the creator analyzes the loot, revealing that without rare "Voices" jewels, the endeavor resulted in a net loss. The video concludes with a warning against farming Simulacrums purely for profit, highlighting the high cost and rarity of chase items, followed by a few final gambles with leftover currency.
