The Galaxy S26 lineup launched just a

few months ago and we're already getting

a ton of leaks on the S27 Ultra. And

honestly, even if only half of them are

accurate, the S27 Ultra is shaping up to

be the most significant Ultra upgrade

Samsung has

pretty much ever made. So, today I'm

going to dive deep into everything we

know so far from the redesigned cameras,

a battery that finally breaks a 7-year

streak, a new biometric system, and a

ton more. So, let's get into it. So, let

me just start with the outside because

the S27 Ultra is said to be getting some

meaningful physical changes, not just a

spec bump in the same old shell. You

see, the biggest part of the redesign is

actually when it comes to the camera

modules. There's a bunch of leaks and

renders shared by Ice Universe that

point towards a redesigned camera

island. One that is shifting to a more

horizontal pill-shaped layout like on

the current Pixels and the good old

Galaxy S10 back in the day. Now, the

reason for this change is apparently

Samsung finally integrating a Qi 2

magnetic ring directly into the chassis.

That's the magnetic accessory standard

that Samsung skipped with the S26 lineup

and it's apparently the reason for this

design change.

Now, beyond that, tipster Ice Universe

1122 claims that the S27 Ultra will be

getting even lighter

compared to the S26 Ultra, which by the

way was very light at 214 g. And it will

also keep the same thickness at just 7.9

mm thin. Oh, and the S Pen is actually

set to be staying. There were some

earlier rumors that were pointing

towards Samsung dropping it, but at

least the more recent ones do point to

the S Pen remaining. Although, I don't

think it's going to get any significant

upgrades this generation. So, let me

know in the comment section down below

if you think Samsung should drop the S

Pen in favor of a larger battery. Now,

the display is expected to remain at 6.9

in, but the panel itself is said to be

getting an upgrade. There's a leak

coming from tipster the Bay An droid,

which points to a new M16 only material,

which is a step up from the M14 panel

used in the S26 Ultra, which would

translate into higher brightness, more

efficient power draw, and also richer

colors. Now, that privacy display that

we got with the S26 Ultra, that's of

course being carried over. But, we may

see a second generation of it that won't

reduce the brightness and viewing angles

as much as the first generation did. Oh,

and guess what? Samsung is said to not

be licensing this privacy display to

anyone else until at least late 2028.

That includes Apple, which of course,

you know, Samsung sources the OLED

panels for the iPhones for, which means

that this display will be an exclusive

for the Ultra Samsung phones. And you

know what else is exclusive? The quality

this brings me to the big one, the

cameras. You see, we haven't really had

a meaningful camera upgrade since the

S23 Ultra.

>> Every single main sensor from the S23

Ultra has been the same. That's four

consecutive generations.

But, the recent leaks suggest that this

will finally end with the S27 Ultra

because Samsung is working on a larger

new main sensor that would apparently be

the new HP6, which is a 1/1.12-in

200-megapixel sensor from the current

1/1.3

[music] in, and this apparently will

also support the new low-fic technology.

This is something that we've seen in the

Xiaomi 17 Ultra as well. Long story

short, HDR is significantly better and

highlights in extreme situations no

longer get clipped. Now, on top of that,

a variable aperture is also said to be

something that Samsung's working on. Ice

universe put this at an 80% chance of

actually happening. This would let the

lens adjust its opening for better

low-light and also more natural depth of

field. Samsung last used a variable

aperture on the Samsung Galaxy S9 from

2018. So, if it returns here, it would

be a long overdue comeback, especially

since Apple's actually doing the same

with their iPhone 18 Pros. So, what

about the ultra-wide? Well, it could be

replaced with what sources say is a

next-generation 50-megapixel variant.

One that could actually make its debut

in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 first. [music]

Video on that right here. Now, for the

controversial part, the 3x telephoto is

gone.

Ice universe puts it simply, it didn't

get stronger, it didn't get weaker,

yeah, it simply gone. That 3x lens has

been part of every Ultra phone since the

S21 Ultra and it's now being dropped

entirely. Instead, Samsung may rely on

in-sensor cropping from the

200-megapixel main camera for 2x and 3x

zoom. And then, of course, we still have

the dedicated 5x module. And honestly, I

don't really mind. That 10-megapixel 3x

camera was consistently one of the

worst, well, actually the worst camera

in the entire Ultra system. It was a

very small sensor at 1 over 3.94

inches. That was a smaller sensor than

the front-facing camera. I'm not even

kidding. So, in low-light, it was

extremely poor. The main module crop was

actually already better anyways. And on

top of that, the 5x telephoto is also

set to be receiving an upgrade, too,

although it's not really clear what that

may be. I'm assuming maybe a larger

aperture. And finally, the selfie camera

may be getting an upgrade as well. No

details on this whatsoever. So, I'm

hoping for a square sensor just like

Apple introduced with the iPhone 18

lineup. So, what about a battery?

Surely, it's going to be silicon carbon

this year, right? Well, here's the

thing. Samsung has shipped the exact

same 5,000 mA battery capacity in every

Ultra model since the S20 Ultra. That's

allegedly all of them, seven generations

straight. Now, battery life has improved

year-over-year uh thanks to efficiency,

but the battery capacity number has been

frozen. Well, Chinese competitors ship

like 7,000 mA silicon carbon cells. This

is apparently finally ending with the

S27 Ultra. There are multiple leaks that

are pointing to a serious capacity jump.

Although, the sources are not really

aligned on this number. Like, the ban

Roy puts it at around 6,000, while

others uh suggest about 5,500. Now,

still, this should be enabled by silicon

carbon battery technology, which packs

higher energy density than traditional

lithium ion. Meaning that we will see

larger cell without necessarily taking

up more space. Another option is to see

a regular lithium ion battery that's

more energy dense like Apple did with

the iPhone Air. Although, my personal

guess, especially if it's around 6,000,

is that this will indeed be silicon

carb. And finally, chi two wireless

charging is also expected after Samsung

skipped it on the S26 Ultra. That's once

again thanks to that new design. So,

what about a performance? Well, the S27

Ultra is expected to run on the brand

new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Yeah,

new name once again. Built on a 2

nanometer process, a full generational

jump from the 3 nanometer chip inside

the S26 Ultra. Which aside from the

usual, you know, CPU and GPU gains, we

should see significantly better power

efficiency as well. Which combined with

that larger battery should deliver some

really nice results. Now, memory's also

being upgraded to LPDDR6 RAM up from the

LPDDR5X in the current Ultra. Which

paired with UFS 5.0 storage, apparently,

the S26 Ultra should be way snappier in

real-world tasks. All the storage

capacities are expected to be 256, 512,

and 1 TB, so basically the same as

before. And Samsung is also set to be

exploring liquid cooling for the S27

Ultra. This is not just a vapor chamber

like we've had up until now. A Samsung

senior researcher was quoted at a Korean

engineering seminar, and he said that

the company was evaluating a water

cooling structure that connects directly

to the processor. So, this won't be a

passive vapor chamber, uh but instead,

it will be an active circuit inside a

phone filled with coolant that will

actively cool the SOC. Yeah, that would

be a first in a phone, at least as far

as I'm aware. Now, the software will

most likely be Android 17 and One UI 9.5

out of the box with the usual 7 years of

OS and security updates. So, are there

any special features exclusive to the

S27 Ultra that are expected here? Well,

the headline is something called Polar

ID. According to Spigox, the S27 Ultra

could be getting a new face

authentication system that works kind of

like Apple's Face ID, where you've got

3D face scanning that works in the dark

without any visible front-facing sensor

cutouts. And like I said, the S Pen is

staying, especially now that the S27 Pro

is going to offer a nearly identical

spec sheet for people who don't need the

stylus. Wait, what? S27 Pro? Uh yeah,

there's a separate video coming on that,

so make sure you subscribe to the

channel. Now, all this sounds amazing,

but when can we actually expect to see

it? Well, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy

S26 Ultra on February the 25th, 2026.

And if the pattern holds, then the S27

Ultra should land around the same

window, January or February 2027.

And uh it's going to be pretty

expensive, right? Well, yeah, kind of.

The S26 Ultra started at 1299 and went

up from the S25 Ultra. On top of that,

the memory and storage costs have risen

considerably through 2026, so yeah, I

wouldn't be surprised if we do see

another price increase. I'm expecting a

starting price around 1299 to 1349 with

a 1 terabyte configuration, of course,

pushing the prices even higher.

And uh yeah, this is everything we know

so far and like I said, even if half of

this ends up being accurate, the

low-light sensor, the battery jump, and

not even to mention the polar ID face

scanner, the weight reduction, you know,

the new chip, which is like a huge

upgrade. I think the S27 Ultra could be

the biggest generational leap we've had
