stocks on the move on this Monday.

Purrazzisi, Bloomberg News Equities

Reporter. Um we had a little bit of news

after the close today.

>> We sure did. Cracker Barrel reported

earnings, that's ticker CBRL. Currently

up nearly 5%, 4.9% though earlier it

rose as much as 10% and that's after the

restaurant chain boosted its full year

profit outlook. And worth mentioning

that this company was kind of thrust

into the spotlight earlier after

changing its logo. It did change it back

and now those shares are up more than

110% this year though short interest is

still up about 20% 27% sorry. So

What?

>> The old-timer.

>> I know. Bring it back.

>> I can't believe we're talking about that

still.

>> Isn't that amazing?

>> when when how many quarters do we have

to go to not talk about that anymore?

>> know.

>> I mean if it's still driving the stock

up.

>> That's amazing.

>> Exactly.

>> Wow.

>> Have you ever been to a Cracker Barrel?

>> I have. They're very popular in Alabama.

>> They are, right?

>> I would recommend their biscuits.

>> Their sherbets I You know, I recommend a

biscuit anytime you can get one.

Just going to say.

Fish and shrimp, chicken and turkey,

beef and pork.

>> All right, what's next Avalon?

>> AMC Entertainment, that's ticker AMC. It

surged 27% into the close to notch its

best day since 2024. And that's after

the movie theater operator reported

stronger than expected adjusted EBITDA

for the second quarter. Citi also

calling out that part of the beat was

because of their greater than expected

box office revenue and also better than

expected food and drink sales which I

found to be interesting since a lot of

people like to talk about how expensive

it is to buy snacks at the movie

theater.

>> It is expensive but you go to a movie, I

want popcorn.

I just do. Don't you?

>> Yeah, I mean I've been in a movie in a

decade, but

>> I know.

>> Yeah.

>> Plus, they always have like the

specialty like movie like popcorn boxes

as well. Like I don't know if you saw

the one for Odyssey with like the horse.

>> Yeah.

>> There's a horse in it? Well, it's like,

you know, the Trojan horse. Like you

open up the belly to get the popcorn.

It's kind of interesting, you know?

>> Adorable.

>> Do you save it with the all the butter

stains

and bring it home?

>> I mean, in theory you should. It's

[laughter] It's expensive.

>> What's the last movie you went to in a

theater?

>> Okay, this is crazy. It was the the one

the documentary about Alex Honnold, the

climber.

>> Oh.

>> And it was when my wife was pregnant

with our first kid, and we were like,

this is probably the last movie we're

going to see in a theater for a long

time.

>> For a long time.

>> Yeah, but now our our eldest is like old

enough to take him to the movie theater.

So, he we could go with him, but our

youngest it's kind of like, you know,

she wouldn't really sit through it.

>> No, but maybe some of the cartoons and

stuff. What's the last movie you went

to?

Ooh, probably the drama. So, that would

have been like Easter weekend, right

around. Yeah, yeah. Love Zendaya.

>> [laughter]

>> Who doesn't?

>> Yeah, so my answer was during the first

Trump administration.

>> Okay, a while ago.

>> Yeah, Avalon's answer was, you know, in

the last few months.

>> the last movie I went to was Barbie with

my daughter. We went down to the

village. It was so good. It was really

fun, and it was such a great crowd.

Everybody was reactive, and but it was

small and kind of cozy. So, it was

really fun.

>> Um Sweetgreen, when was the last time

you went to Sweetgreen?

>> Months ago. Yeah. My sisters are really

big fan of Sweetgreen, though.

>> What about this week and last week?

>> Sweetgreen. Absolutely not.

>> That might be the challenge that

Sweetgreen is facing. This is your third

and final stock. Take her SG.

>> Yes, it declined about 6.1% into close,

and that's as investors continue to try

to parse how exactly this company will

be impacted by the parasite outbreak

that's linked to fresh produce like

salads. City writing that this is

actually a potentially a buying

opportunity for long-term investors who

will be able to shake off these concerns

once we get further.

>> Yeah, I mean, the concern I think temper

Well, I think many people would argue

temporary.

>> Yeah.

>> And it's just like spinach has They

haven't been linked to any.

>> Correct. And I feel like they initially

the lettuce maker that they were looking

at

>> Taylor Farms.

>> Correct. [music] Actually didn't pan out

at least in some of the

>> Yeah, they're still trying to figure it

out.
