I'm Karina.

I teach elementary school students

where most of my kids are English language learners.

With Claude for Teachers, it works across the tools I already use

and then it keeps doing it for me on a schedule I set myself.

I'd rather just talk it through out loud.

There's so much I want to know that typing it all out would take forever.

So I give it one brief by voice.

I tell Claude, “Pull my latest second grade ELA lesson from TeachFX.”

Let me look at the coaching summary first.

It walks me through the lesson the way a coach would.

The good stuff, my opening hook and my turn-and-talks really landed.

And my teacher-to-student talk ratio looks great.

My kids are talking more than I am, which is exactly what I want to see.

Where I can do better?

I asked a lot of great, open-ended questions,

but I didn't leave enough wait time for student thinking.

So my one thing for tomorrow is simple.

Ask the question then wait five seconds before I call on anyone.

That's feedback I got right away,

instead of waiting for my monthly check-in with our instructional coach.

Now the lesson plan, and it's already built around what the coaching found.

Claude pulled up the lesson planning skill it comes with

and grounded the plan in our standards.

It also added the California ELD supports my English learners need,

drawing on the Learning Commons knowledge graph.

And the best part?

The coaching notes are right inside the plan,

so I actually hit my goal.

I liked this enough that I didn't want to do it by hand every afternoon,

so I just asked Claude to keep it going.

I tell Claude, “Great, please do this every weekday at 4 p.m.”

I run it once, just to be sure.

And there it goes.

While I'm driving home, Claude's reviewing how my lesson actually went,

and getting tomorrow's ready.

Now I get the instructional feedback I've always craved

without adding a single minute to my day.
