Apple's iPhone Fold is in BIG Trouble..
232 segments
This is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 from
Samsung. We're here in New York for
Galaxy Unpacked and so far this thing
has been impressing me more than I
expected because it's coming with 10 new
feature changes and updates that I want
to highlight in this video to give you
guys everything you need to know. So
with that said, let's get into number
one and that is the all new compact form
factor. This thing is a lot shorter and
wider than a lot of the other foldables
that you see on the market which I have
a problem with because they're way too
tall. They're kind of bulky, hard to fit
in your pocket. This thing right here,
check it out. Easy to put into your
pocket.
Just like that. Fits nicely. It's very
easy to use in one hand thanks to this
new aspect ratio. You can easily swipe
up and access your notifications, your
control center, everything a lot easier
than you can on the taller foldables.
This is actually what it's going to be
like with Apple's upcoming iPhone Ultra
foldable. You can actually see it side
by side right here where the iPhone
Ultra is going to be more rounded. We
also brought in the Huawei Pura X Max
which you can see is going to be very
similar in terms of the design. So it's
really cool how close these actually
are. Now for the second awesome new
feature, it is the foldable display
that's on the inside. It's 7.6 inches
and it is absolutely massive and it's so
immersive especially with the 4 by 3
aspect ratio which you can also flip
vertically for a 3 by 4. This makes it
really nice
>> [music]
>> and easy to use for things like
e-readers. It's also really nice for
YouTube videos where you have this
minimal crop on the top and bottom to
get that full screen immersion. Also
very nice for wide screen games or like
Clash Royale vertical games where it
takes up the whole display. It is just
so nice [music] with this awesome
immersive huge display. Now the third
awesome thing I want to highlight is
side-by-side multitasking, which I think
is going to be a huge deal. You just
open up an app just like that. Now, you
have YouTube on the side, and you have
your web browser just like that. And the
cool thing is, unlike other phones like
the Huawei Pura X Max, you can actually
adjust the size to basically any custom
size that you want. That made it really
nice for playing a game on one side and
browsing or watching YouTube on the
other. So, like Clash Royale, it
actually doesn't really need that much
width. So, you can just make it really,
really skinny
>> [music]
>> and play like that with a larger YouTube
video on the other side. Now, it's not
only for entertainment and gaming, but
also for business use, which a lot of
people are not thinking about. Just
imagine you have your bank app on one
side, invoicing on the other, so you can
kind of see who paid, mark it off, or
you have your payroll, you have whatever
else, your notes, your business photos.
This is going to be massive for people
with small businesses, being able to
multitask so much better with those
side-by-side apps. Now, for the fourth
thing, I actually want to bring out the
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is their
newer version of their tall display. You
can see it right here. And the cool
thing is that both of these this year
have much faster charging. You have 45 W
wired on both, [music]
very impressive for foldable phones like
this, but also 25 W [music]
Qi2 wireless charging. That is awesome.
The only thing is, you don't have
magnets built into the phones
themselves. So, because of that, you're
going to need a case with MagSafe built
in, like this one from our sponsor Mous.
So, because you're using MagSafe, you
have the magnets that align perfectly,
which gives you the fastest wireless
charging with MagSafe compatibility. And
the magnets also let you use all sorts
of accessories like ring grips and
[music] wallets. This case also has a
kickstand built into the back, allowing
you to view content or play games in the
horizontal position. And what makes this
case actually usable is the fact that
it's super slim and lightweight, so it
doesn't add so much bulk to your brand
new phone. And this case also protects
the hinge, which is the most fragile
part of the phone, as well as the front
display with a built-in privacy screen
protector for additional protection all
around. So, if you're getting the new Z
Fold 8 this year, definitely get this
case by using the links in the
description and pinned comment below.
Now, moving on to the fifth thing, what
really is impressing me is how thin and
light this thing is. I mean, take a look
at how razor thin it is. That is just
incredible. And as far as the weight,
only 201
g for a phone that has a 7.6-in
display on the inside. That's just crazy
because my iPhone 17 Pro Max is actually
200 and I believe 33 g, so it is heavier
than this new, much more usable Z
[music] Fold 8. Now, for the sixth
thing, what I really want to highlight
is the display, which is insanely
bright. As you can see, I have an HDR
video right here. 3,000
nits of brightness. This video, it just
looks insane. Not only that, but they've
also added their famous
anti-reflectivity layer, which you guys
know Samsung has the best
anti-reflectivity. And the thing is, the
crease on this foldable display is by
far the most minimal that I have seen so
far. I mean, we have the Huawei Pura X
Max, and the crease is definitely more
noticeable. You can feel it, you can see
it. This thing is basically almost fully
creaseless. Now, moving on to number
seven, one thing that really impressed
me was the battery life. And the cool
thing is, with the Z Fold 8, it has a
4,800
mA hour battery, which is only 200 less
than this massive Z Fold 8 Ultra, which
is also more expensive, which I'll talk
about in just a minute. So, it's awesome
that they were able to fit that nice big
battery. I mean, that's only 200 less
than the S26 Ultra, Samsung's flagship
standard phone, and that also has great
battery life. So, I'm excited to see how
good this is. Next up, for number eight,
I've got to talk about the cameras,
because on the back you have a 50 MP
main and a 50 MP
ultrawide, and we've been testing them
out. So [music] far, they look great.
And they have this really cool feature
where I can actually press this right
here, and you should now be able to see
a preview of the cover screen. So, I'm
looking at you from here, you can see
yourself. That is really cool. So, that
way you take pictures of people, they
can [music] make sure their framing is
good. There's also this really cool dual
video recording feature. Let's see if I
can get that to turn on.
All right, that is so sick. What do you
see on the front? Yeah, look at that.
You see both. And here it's actually
even better. Let me just go like this.
Look at that. When you're recording,
dual front and back [music]
on screen at once. They have this brand
new feature called fan cam, where
essentially you record somebody walking
around, and it'll automatically crop
into a subject
>> [music]
>> and move left and right for you. Now,
for number nine, we have the chips and
performance. Both of the Z Fold 8s have
the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for
Galaxy, which is actually the same chip
that came in the Galaxy S26 Ultra
flagship. So, that was an insanely fast
chip in so many ways. We did a lot of
testing, a lot of gaming, lots of
videos, and that chip is crazy. Faster
than Apple's A19 Pro in multiple ways,
including graphics. So, [music] that's
cool that you have no sacrifice in terms
of performance in these phones. And
finally, for number 10, I've got to talk
about something that really surprised
me, and that is the pricing. Because the
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is $2,100,
which I think makes total sense. But,
the new, very exciting, wide version,
the Z Fold 8, is actually less. [music]
It's $1,800. And the reason this is so
exciting is because
Apple's iPhone Ultra foldable is rumored
to be very expensive, between 2,000 and
2,500
dollars. So, I think they're going to
have a hard time competing with this at
only 1,800 bucks. So, with that said,
that was the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Z
Fold 8 Ultra. Let me know which one of
these two you actually prefer based on
your use cases and your features and
everything else down in the comment
section below, and stay tuned because
we're working on a video right after
this with the new Z Fold 8. So,

those two videos right over there.
