very soon you will be in the ice birth

0:02

with me but I don't like the cold that's

0:06

cool yeah oh gosh stay with your breath

0:11

wh hop has defied logic time and time

0:13

again he's able to withstand extreme

0:16

cold and even ran to the top of Everest

0:18

in his underwear he's proven we're all

0:20

capable of pushing our minds and bodies

0:22

way past what was thought possible they

0:24

call me the ice man what is the purpose

0:26

of living happiness strength and health

0:29

you're rest is [ __ ] but this Society

0:32

is sick and we cannot deal with stress

0:34

it drains us but if we listen to our

0:37

body we can change that through science

0:40

so what is the first step breathing

0:42

exercises it's about handling our

0:45

emotion and feel that we are on top of

0:47

it no matter what but we have never

0:50

learned in our schooling how to do it

0:53

next through the power of the mind we

0:56

learn to make our bad feelings disease

0:59

go away you were injected with eoli you

1:02

had no negative immune response you took

1:05

volunteers train them on your techniques

1:07

and when they were injected their

1:08

responses were similar to your own it's

1:10

all possible how do you do that first we

1:13

have

1:14

to whim was there ever a time where the

1:17

pain was even too much for you my wife

1:20

took her own

1:23

life

1:25

and that led to depression and I was not

1:29

able to do do

1:30

[Music]

1:32

anything there's so many people that are

1:34

going through different forms of grief

1:35

what would you say to those people the

1:37

only way to break that

1:42

is we've just hit 6 million subscribers

1:44

on the dver co um so me and my team

1:47

would like to do something we've never

1:48

done before as little thank you and

1:49

we're calling it The di of Co subscriber

1:52

raffle and here is how it works every

1:54

episode this month we're going to pick

1:55

three current subscribers at random and

1:57

we'll send one of you a 1,000 value

2:00

one of you tickets to come and watch the

2:01

D behind the scenes live with our team

2:04

and one of you will have a 10-minute

2:05

phone call with me to discuss whatever

2:07

you want to talk about if you're a

2:08

subscriber you're in the raffle thank

2:11

you from the bottom of my heart for

2:13

allowing me to do something that me and

2:15

my team love doing so much it is the

2:17

greatest honor of my lifetime and I hope

2:18

it I hope it continues uh off into the

2:21

Future Let's get to the

2:22

[Music]

2:28

episode whm yes what is your

2:33

mission my mission is to bring uh love

2:36

and power very simple but then through

2:39

signs so there is no speculation about

2:42

it they in all the songs you hear love

2:45

is the greatest power and all that you

2:48

know but we should be able to feel it

2:52

and because we could not feel that

2:54

anymore to be uh uh too consumed through

2:59

consumerism

3:00

through uh everyday very hectic

3:03

stressful lives we get confused in it

3:08

all we are depleted in our energy our

3:11

energy is being drained through a system

3:14

that is an inally being divided in its

3:20

wealth and therefore people are not able

3:23

uh to use their energy to bring up uh

3:27

the the right values back in the family

3:29

which is patience which is empathy

3:33

creativity uh

3:35

love composed by happiness strength and

3:39

health so because there is confusion in

3:43

that area that's why uh I I thought hey

3:48

I'm going to start somewhere here and

3:51

now I'm going to change the world and I

3:53

see the wars I see unhappiness I see

3:56

depression I see pollution I see abuse I

4:00

see uh all that and people think that is

4:03

normal and we have to abide to those uh

4:07

realities and I think no it's sick and

4:10

what I'm going to do about it I'm I'm

4:13

going to start looking searching inside

4:17

because I I I think every uh mother in

4:20

the world should be able to bring

4:22

happiness strength and health to their

4:25

children and keep it there so that's my

4:28

mission to bring it and because nobody's

4:31

listening to a person like me saying

4:33

that from the roof we got love is the

4:37

power and all that that's why I go

4:40

through science but first I went into

4:44

the

4:45

cold and the cold I met because

4:48

intuitively I felt hey the cold is able

4:52

to bring down my thinking what is it

4:55

about the nature of society when you

4:57

look out on Society at the moment that

4:59

makes you sad or concerned what is it

5:01

about the way we live way we've built

5:04

this thing called Society so a society

5:07

is a very

5:08

complex uh uh

5:12

opportunistic

5:14

uh way uh through time nobody is able to

5:18

trace down where the problems are how it

5:21

has been Arisen it's too complex too

5:24

confused now and there I I I say hey

5:28

okay this look at The Establishment is

5:31

this perfect is this paradise Noh is

5:35

nothing wrong with our knowledge

5:38

understanding and intelligence but the

5:40

way we use it we have to change our

5:43

Consciousness and our Consciousness is

5:45

our way to perceive perceive is what we

5:49

see and what we are able to deal with

5:51

and we cannot deal with the stress

5:54

coming in our lives it consumes us it

5:58

drains us and there we are and and look

6:02

what we can do we can go to the Moon we

6:04

can go to Mars we can build Bridges we

6:07

can make create AI all those things but

6:10

we cannot create happiness strength and

6:13

health we got to reset so let's

6:16

stop massively in the world and Elevate

6:21

our Consciousness to being good to each

6:24

other not to be competitive if I if I'm

6:28

an individual listening to this and I

6:29

follow your methods what can you promise

6:32

me will be the outcome on my daytoday

6:35

life a lot more energy that's number one

6:39

two you will feel just

6:42

aive what is the purpose of living it's

6:46

life to love life as it is pure no

6:51

thoughts no confusion it's not there

6:55

just feel alive when you uh rise from

6:58

the bed you feel

7:01

okay this is a new

7:03

day what I'm going to do I'm going to

7:06

change the world today because I feel so

7:09

good and even though I'm not fully on

7:12

right now I know it's coming and I want

7:15

it I want it so much and you know what

7:19

it's called

7:21

purpose and that purpose I'm I'm living

7:23

it and that purpose is stronger than my

7:27

thinking and this Society is not driven

7:30

to fulfill each and everyone's purpose

7:34

it's to uh have the the the society

7:38

maintained the system maintained

7:40

controlled by a a couple of people all

7:44

the energy for what where is the

7:47

happiness where is the strength where is

7:49

the health every day when I live my

7:52

purpose and and I want to change the

7:55

world I want to bring love and power and

7:58

I'm doing

8:00

with mathematical Precision with the

8:04

mission impossible things they I found

8:08

which I tested in uh scientific uh

8:12

comparative studies showing that

8:15

suddenly we have so much more control

8:18

instead of being controlled by the

8:20

system oppressing our purpose Our Lives

8:24

energy and to connect with that purpose

8:27

it's like love when you feel love for

8:29

your woman for your love your sex this

8:32

this you you don't think that is that

8:35

power and that power you should be able

8:38

to live and to feel for life itself

8:42

every day but we are blocked too much

8:46

going into the cold brings you out of

8:49

this thinking

8:50

brain it brings you directly into the

8:53

deepest part of the brain because you

8:56

are doing it going into the called then

9:00

it it needs to be switched on the

9:03

deepest part of the brain survival part

9:05

the brain stem and uh to battle the

9:08

danger of the cold but it's there once

9:12

it's there and you are doing it you are

9:14

connecting is that pardon what you're

9:17

saying that the way that we live our

9:18

lives is a little bit too comfortable so

9:20

we're not reaching those sort of deeper

9:22

levels of our of our brain we're kind of

9:25

and we are optimizing discomfort out of

9:27

our lives in every chance we get

9:30

you from every you know I got here today

9:32

in a nice warm car I arrived in a nice

9:34

warm building I had a nice warm shower

9:37

oh very soon you will be in the ice bath

9:39

with

9:43

me it's it's going to be nice you know

9:46

it's going to be nice but that that that

9:49

the the difference is we choose if we go

9:52

to the cult and the cold will not come

9:54

to us we tackle the problem before it

9:57

arises within us with the cult which is

10:00

a very uh negative aggressive power

10:05

inflicted upon our bodies it's an impact

10:09

when you say if we go to the cold before

10:11

the cold comes to us is that a metaphor

10:13

for life are you yes okay you mean we go

10:16

we put ourselves in discomfort and if we

10:18

don't then our lives will be met with

10:20

discomfort in other way yes and then we

10:21

are not prepared yeah right and that

10:25

and a lot of people are maybe okay with

10:28

this in this system but uh so many more

10:32

people are not okay with this and for

10:35

those we stand up we who have the wealth

10:38

of being and feeling okay great that's

10:43

wealth we should be able to stand up for

10:46

those who cannot whim when did this

10:48

start when did this start for you

10:50

because a lot of people that I meet on

10:52

this show you know their early Journeys

10:54

or the sort of pivotal moments in their

10:55

lives can be traced back to maybe when

10:57

they were 12 or 13 but your journey

11:00

starts even earlier the first Domino

11:02

that fell seems to fall when your mother

11:04

was giving birth to you oh yes

11:07

subconsciously it started at my birth my

11:10

mother told me I'm one of the twins

11:13

unexpected back then we had no Echo

11:16

graphics and all these tools so they

11:20

didn't know that there was another twin

11:21

baby there exactly and so I was almost

11:24

uh born too late they discovered me

11:28

almost too late

11:29

and uh so I came out while they were

11:33

pushing uh the bat with my mother to the

11:36

operation room in the in in the hallway

11:40

like purple because almost suffocated

11:43

coming out in the cold of the hall very

11:47

traumatized it started over there it

11:49

started with a trauma and I let me tell

11:52

you I was I became a Seeker because of

11:55

that trauma people become Seekers if

11:58

they have deep trauma

12:00

they always will seek uh compensation

12:04

always try to seek relief in one way or

12:08

in another not directly to the trauma

12:11

but indirectly bypassing and they don't

12:15

know it influences directly deeply your

12:19

behavior in life just want to make sure

12:22

I'm super clear on this your mother had

12:25

two identical twin boys and the doctor's

12:28

own only knew that one baby was there so

12:31

when they finished delivering um your

12:34

brother your identical twin brother they

12:38

were moving on with the procedure and

12:39

then at the last minute while they were

12:41

in the hallway they discovered there was

12:42

another baby in there and that other

12:45

baby yourself was at risk and from that

12:47

whole sort of traumatic experience you

12:49

feel that that sort of embodied a trauma

12:50

which you've which turned you into a

12:52

Seeker looking for answers on the

12:54

universe rejecting the conventional

12:56

thinking and that takes us all the way

12:58

through this sort of um very curious

13:00

childhood up to the point you describe

13:01

at 17 years old where you're stood in

13:03

Amsterdam by a very very cold lake and

13:06

you feel cold to jump into that Lake yes

13:10

yes uh cold and C there are no words to

13:14

describe it because you are led by

13:16

intuition you are led by a way the the

13:20

body is able to solve whatever is inside

13:24

because you cannot relate by thinking

13:26

what is going on because I was a baby

13:29

back then but it always blocked me it

13:32

made me a seeker and uh at that moment

13:35

when I went in I just follow to

13:38

intuition it's a feeling and there I

13:42

felt this is it this is it what I've

13:46

always been trying to find as a Seeker

13:49

my intuition had led me to ER uh go into

13:53

that water to meet my trauma and that is

13:58

activating a

13:59

innate capacity of ours to deal and to

14:03

process whatever is going on in the

14:06

deepest of the brain in the deepest

14:08

thought up uh tissue where is trauma uh

14:13

present which we haven't learned how to

14:17

access that first time you got in the

14:19

cold

14:21

water yeah did you react like I react

14:24

when I get in the cold water now did you

14:25

were you h no absolutely not I was

14:29

surprising and you will go with me later

14:32

and you will not go the way you just

14:34

expressed okay we will go like you will

14:37

smile beautifully like you do right now

14:40

yeah and go with me in there is a moment

14:44

that you will feel a little bit

14:46

of but I'm there we are there you're my

14:50

brother you you I'm your uncle I'm your

14:52

family I want you to feel good I I want

14:55

you I I I I'm here to make you strong

14:58

strong strong it it it means to stay in

15:02

the eye of the hurricane when it is when

15:05

the stress is most when you first got

15:08

into the cold water you said it seemed

15:10

to answer a lot of your spiritual

15:12

questions yeah oh yeah all what what

15:15

spiritual questions did getting in the

15:16

Cold War to that first time answer all

15:18

what all what has been propagated by all

15:20

the religions all the Asic disciplines

15:23

and doctrines that Nirvana and

15:27

Enlightenment key

15:29

pra uh whatever they call it uh in name

15:34

uh that that is just our

15:37

mind let's feel strong let's be strong

15:40

let's be healthy let's be happy just

15:44

unconditionally that's what I felt at

15:47

that moment this is it and it was not

15:51

words that came to me it was a pure

15:55

opening of my feeling being un corrupted

15:59

by

16:01

thinking for many many years you lived

16:04

as a squatter was it from 17 to sort of

16:07

20 sort of mid 20s that you lived as a

16:10

squatter 0s you were you best time of my

16:13

life having no money whatsoever I was in

16:17

society living outside of society

16:19

outside I had no money I lived off the

16:23

scraps of the uh the

16:25

marketplace and I loved it was a party

16:28

time was Feast every day with all these

16:32

other people who are free thinkers do

16:36

don't think a time have a have a

16:39

sabatical a a a sabatical of this way

16:43

the system maintains itself through

16:46

Paradigm through a certain way of

16:48

thinking if you just leave it at time

16:52

you start to think uh thoughts and

16:55

emotions are able to emerge without

16:59

without this helmet on this heavy helmet

17:03

which is interrupting your flow your

17:06

being your expression and then you you

17:09

cannot trust that expression you are

17:12

lost you're getting lost of who who you

17:14

are there I was able to

17:18

freethink without even thinking about it

17:21

I played the guitar and the

17:23

hallways

17:25

uh I did yoga all these postes in the in

17:30

the courtyards

17:31

naked

17:33

and in the winter time I became so

17:37

strong if you only let the life force

17:40

Express itself you become so strong what

17:43

is the life force for anybody that

17:44

doesn't know anybody has it yeah like

17:47

here and right now if I like I was

17:51

talking be before we entered into this

17:53

podcast 76 years old this man was and he

17:58

was suffering uffing from Li limes

18:00

disease and he wanted to climb to

18:02

kilamanjaro in record time without

18:06

having any experience in in climbing 76

18:09

years old limes disease suffering with

18:12

that condition doing a mountain which

18:15

normally is done between five and nine

18:17

days fully dressed because up there at

18:20

6,000 m is really cold and there is less

18:24

than half the oxygen so the cold comes

18:27

even harder in and there I saw life

18:30

force uh his life force was so

18:34

determined to climb with me an

18:37

impossible physiologically impossible

18:40

task because normally between 5 to n

18:43

days he did it a 31 hours 76 years old

18:48

what what else is that than a life force

18:52

you never expected it to be just to take

18:56

on the challenge he had a deeper feeling

18:59

within himself I don't know what I got

19:01

to do but this guy is saying he wants to

19:04

climb to Kilimanjaro past the

19:06

physiological limits according to

19:08

science and it I feel I feel something

19:12

that is your life force talking to you

19:15

which wants to free itself he was

19:18

suffering from limes disease he was in a

19:21

system always abiding to everything and

19:23

suddenly with an autoimmune disorder he

19:26

could not control at all

19:29

and and there he was so he he felt the

19:32

same thing as I felt when I was 17 going

19:35

into the CT he came with me and he

19:39

climbed to kilaru in 31 hours not 5 to n

19:43

days 31 hours

19:47

so that is the life force our life force

19:50

is capable of so much more than we are

19:54

used to why don't we know that why don't

19:57

we believe that why don't we live our

19:59

lives with the you know the the opinion

20:03

that we can climb the mountain sure

20:05

because we are let to believe we have to

20:08

serve into systems that are not

20:11

necessarily serving our

20:13

soul and they so massively

20:16

psychologically overwhelming the system

20:19

the schooling system Etc it's so

20:23

overwhelming that we have no way to

20:25

escape from this narrowing Consciousness

20:28

where we got in we think careers make us

20:31

happy cars make us happy money makes us

20:34

happy Fame and name and all makes us

20:37

happy I was the happiest guy when I was

20:40

in the squat having nothing you were you

20:43

were effectively homeless living just

20:45

outside yeah yeah yeah a squat is a

20:48

place where you have a uh you have

20:51

electricity and that's it and you got to

20:55

pay for the the heater so you had to

20:58

find find ways to uh uh pay say um what

21:02

is it £70 a month and you were living

21:05

with lots of people in yeah when when

21:07

you were squatting yeah wow was an

21:09

amazing I mean we don't need so much but

21:12

it has been propagated that we need a

21:15

house everybody needs a

21:17

mortgage and you got to serve that

21:20

mortgage you got to go to 9 to5 and we

21:24

become slaves and slaves of a system

21:27

that is

21:29

in the end creating quite some stress

21:32

and we are only able to survive not to

21:35

express ourselves creatively as who we

21:38

are and what we are for real what's a

21:40

realistic alternative whim I lived in

21:43

that Society first I lived outside

21:46

through living in a squat that was

21:48

enough for me to have my own identity

21:52

connected in my thinking my mind and uh

21:55

then I went into society it was a

21:57

horrible time time because suddenly I

22:00

had to live in a flat with the kids and

22:03

my wife deteriorated mentally and she

22:08

took her own life in 95 and she jumped

22:12

from eight stories down that that that

22:15

was

22:16

the the life I was in and the and

22:19

Society just go keeps on going like a

22:21

train it it has no emotion it has no

22:25

feeling wh on that you're 22 years old

22:30

you're you fall in love yes with a woman

22:33

you describe as the love of your life oh

22:35

that's her yes o oh look at

22:39

this oh yeah

22:41

sweetheart amazing Soul very expressive

22:45

very talkative to everybody very open

22:49

and uh and then into the shadows of her

22:52

own mind and dysfunctioning of brain

22:55

functioning and uh that led to uh her

22:59

depression and then becoming Manic and

23:01

then

23:02

schizophrenia then uh worse got worse

23:06

and worse and worse we were 15 years

23:09

together you met her in that squat house

23:11

in the squat house yes yeah amazing yeah

23:17

so innocent all very innocent and uh uh

23:22

I called her a butterfly Mariposa in

23:25

Spanish and uh butterfly because she was

23:29

everywhere a very light

23:33

being did I fell in love or Rose in love

23:37

I think the last

23:39

one only the the way her mind got

23:45

Disturbed through this yeah is it

23:48

Society is it the pressure is it a

23:50

career is it what is it a demand because

23:54

this was a light a being of light you

23:58

you met her in that squatter house you

23:59

had two children together yes in the

24:02

squat and perfectly okay and great and

24:06

great we yeah beautiful the those

24:09

children are right now working with me

24:11

we got an international worldwide

24:13

company yeah when did you realize that

24:17

her mental health was

24:22

deteriorating yeah probably too late uh

24:26

uh uh it was a a a a decreasing kind of

24:31

uh uh process in her where she was

24:34

losing the control and uh uh I had no

24:39

real means to take care of that she went

24:42

back uh to uh pmon she was Spanish from

24:47

origin and uh she was there with her

24:50

family she would have been for months on

24:53

end with her family and then come back

24:56

and being mother for two days

24:59

and then suddenly collapse and being bad

25:01

and being very down again and uh yeah

25:07

like a burden burdensome but we loved

25:10

her of

25:12

course we are trying to

25:15

survive where and uh only after the uh

25:21

the fourth child you wanted another CH

25:23

but I said no you have to become better

25:26

you have to become healthy and and she

25:29

said to you you are a bastard that was

25:31

one month before she took her own life

25:35

see uh she kissed her I was working as a

25:40

mountain guide in the Pines to get some

25:44

money and I also loved it I love nature

25:47

but then uh uh yeah she kissed her uh

25:51

the kids could

25:53

bu before uh jumping down or letting go

25:57

from 8

25:59

uh story she jumped off an eighth story

26:01

building yes I mean it almost takes a

26:05

lot of courage to do that too you must

26:07

be very Des desperate if you do a thing

26:11

like that and that is something un

26:13

overcomable the part of me when I was 12

26:17

the world is sick depressed the darkness

26:20

the wars the pollution Etc all that I'm

26:23

going to do something about it at that

26:25

moment I could not I was not able to do

26:29

anything so it it turned into a defeat

26:34

it turned into being me hopeless it

26:37

turned me into being depressed but I had

26:40

no time to be depressed I had to take

26:43

care of four

26:44

children on your own on my own with

26:47

almost no

26:49

money so uh that's that's a actually

26:54

where the cult came in not like a

26:57

negative power power it the cold is

27:00

stronger than your mind it than your

27:03

thinking it makes you the depth of your

27:06

brain at work and the depth of your

27:09

brain is the place the pharmacy it's the

27:12

pharmacy the Healer of our uh being

27:17

which we disconnected from so much

27:20

because we go we go for pills medicines

27:23

or go to doctor if something happens to

27:25

us we don't go to ourselves I can't

27:28

imagine the pain I can't imagine the

27:31

pain of you know having the love of my

27:34

life um a deteriorate um have four kids

27:37

with me but then take her own

27:41

life

27:42

grief oh yes the grief had no space yes

27:49

the agonizing thinking all day long has

27:53

its way to uh to burden a person a me

27:58

and uh uh uh yeah the only way to break

28:02

that was going into uh icy

28:05

water uh that was yeah I mean at that

28:10

moment you're just

28:11

surviving and that gives you a little

28:14

little opening of this agonizing

28:18

thinking this it's painful it's a a and

28:22

at that moment you are so overwhelmed by

28:26

all that that you

28:28

now I can talk about it but back then I

28:31

was in the middle of it do you remember

28:33

where you were where you were when you

28:34

got that phone

28:36

call yes

28:38

uh exactly and U I was doing groups of

28:43

people uh in the in the mountains so

28:46

back then you had these phone booths

28:49

yeah in on the camping on the camping

28:52

where we uh slept and uh with the group

28:56

and uh there I got uh this phone call uh

29:01

the of her brother calling me and uh

29:05

yeah so it is uh not only shocking you

29:09

don't know what to

29:11

say you cannot even

29:14

cry the grief comes later the thinking

29:17

about it the being able to contemplate

29:20

about it and have feelings about it

29:22

comes only later I cried when I was with

29:28

her

29:29

father with with her father over her

29:32

dead body then we cried together that

29:36

then you can relate You Can Let Go it

29:39

happens you're not thinking about it it

29:41

happens so that's the way

29:44

it evolves and then but in the back of

29:48

my head was was of course my four

29:51

children it took a burden on us it took

29:54

a burden on an

29:56

inexplicable burden

29:58

it changed us it traumatized Us in the

30:02

depth and that made us uh separate at a

30:07

certain

30:09

moment later on in life now we are all

30:13

together and it's amazing the chemistry

30:16

is better than ever before and uh she

30:20

her the mother she is like in a an angel

30:24

now she's looking over our shoulders and

30:26

we talk about it we say she yeah she

30:30

that it is going so well with us is

30:33

because she is that back she she is with

30:36

us we feel it when you had that

30:39

conversation with your four children

30:41

that their mother was gone they were

30:44

between seven and 12 years old yes how

30:47

how do how do you have a conversation

30:49

with a seven-year-old or or a 12year old

30:52

about their mother not being here

30:55

anymore exactly that that way I said she

30:59

is she is

31:01

gone her body is gone she she I didn't

31:04

say she was

31:06

dead she is not no longer with us that's

31:10

what I

31:11

said and they got it we are here we are

31:14

together we're going to we're going to

31:17

find life with us mommy is gone yet also

31:23

she is

31:26

here and

31:28

worked it worked I mean we went on did

31:32

they ask

31:38

questions of course of course many

31:41

questions but uh the end uh the the the

31:47

questions uh were not as strong as our

31:51

being

31:52

during in life being together uh it's

31:58

there where I found the cold to give me

32:02

all the energy to create a good

32:05

atmosphere to at home the nest

32:08

warmth

32:10

playfulness being there light not

32:14

heavy what is that first step to because

32:17

there's so many people that are going

32:18

through different forms of grief or they

32:20

have that trauma that you've describe

32:22

that goes back a long way if they're

32:24

listening to this now and they've

32:25

stumbled this far into the conversation

32:26

and they're thinking I'm so far away

32:29

from that whim I'm So Far Away I've got

32:31

my shirt and tie on I've got I'm in the

32:34

city I I know I'm unhappy I can feel it

32:36

in my bones but I know no other way what

32:37

is the first step absolutely the

32:41

breathing

32:42

exercises these breathing exercises in

32:45

2014 were capable to show just like

32:51

scientifically uh hormonally uh looking

32:55

at the nervous system the depth

32:58

uh which we entered with these breathing

33:01

exercises in this comparative study

33:04

showed that we were able to tap into the

33:07

autonomic nervous system and innate

33:09

immune system which was considered to be

33:12

impossible in signs and now it is there

33:16

it's not only the autonomic nervous

33:18

system and the innate immune system it's

33:21

also the ability naturally to solve what

33:26

is deeply

33:28

stored up in our tissue which could not

33:32

be processed in the moment when it

33:34

happened trauma whim I've got some of

33:36

those studies in front of me I read

33:38

through all of them um ahead of our

33:40

conversation and they are quite frankly

33:42

um remarkable they're quite frankly

33:45

remarkable they are uh peer-reviewed

33:48

studies that have been published um went

33:50

through very sort of scientifically

33:52

rigorous processes to make sure that

33:54

they were valid and in these studies we

33:56

see breakthroughs that I think the past

33:58

people thought were impossible but if we

34:00

just focus in then on that breathing

34:01

because you you described that as the

34:03

first step if I have never breathed in

34:05

my life I've never done it I've never

34:08

heard about it I'm a I'm skeptical to it

34:10

I think breathing is just something we

34:13

don't think about

34:18

um what do you mean by breathing and

34:22

what kind of breathing and can you

34:23

explain to me like I'm an idiot what

34:26

it's doing

34:31

yeah what it is doing for example I'm uh

34:34

now busy with cardiologists and they saw

34:37

in heart films that if you stop

34:39

breathing after exhalation for one and a

34:41

half minute five times more blood flows

34:44

into the brain and to the heart this

34:46

what has never been shown and now it has

34:49

been shown through these breathing

34:51

techniques I mean this really goes so

34:55

deep we are able to make uh these uh

34:59

through these breathing techniques uh

35:02

change our blood's chemistry uh bring up

35:07

the pH levels way up by which the

35:11

breathing trigger is not happening

35:14

because it's depending on the CO2 level

35:16

in our blood if we breathe

35:28

like 30 times like this you become a

35:29

little bit woie a little bit dizzy why

35:33

because the CO2 levels go way

35:36

down you blow it off carbon dioxide have

35:40

we forgotten how to to breathe like that

35:41

is that is oh yes is that the natural

35:43

way of breathing no not exactly okay

35:46

what what what is exactly is that we uh

35:50

have forgotten to feel Deep

35:54

Emotions uh to be uh in connection with

35:58

danger danger is a deep

36:03

emotion or the

36:06

cold it's it's deep we avoid these

36:10

emotions but they are we are built to

36:13

receive it to express it and uh with

36:18

that comes alive the deeper mechanisms

36:22

in our body and be if that longterm is

36:26

not exercise

36:28

those deeper mechanisms and among that

36:31

is not only the emotion it's also the

36:33

immune system it becomes weaker we

36:36

become more

36:37

flid we become insensitive look at the

36:40

insensitivity in our society Gaza is

36:44

happening yeah protest is we should stop

36:48

that [ __ ] we should stop those Wars cuz

36:51

kids little kids are here jeopardized

36:55

and we cannot even feel it anymore you

36:58

know that this insensitivity in US is a

37:02

is a plague is a plague because we serve

37:04

a system that runs well on people being

37:08

obedient and being flaccid not really

37:11

sensitive because if you are really

37:13

sensitive you don't go to a to a slave

37:16

job every every day and come back

37:20

stressed and the other day you do it

37:22

again and again again again what we

37:25

should do within our eles is learning

37:28

how to connect into the depth and this

37:31

is what I give through the C we bring

37:34

these deeper emotions alive and then you

37:38

will not abide to that what makes you

37:41

weak to that what kills your purpose we

37:46

got to stand up as humanity and more

37:49

more now than ever and here we are and

37:52

uh whim how do you do that very simple

37:56

do this breathing techniques do it on

38:00

your

38:02

bed on a sofa or very controlled because

38:05

you will go past your conditioned mind

38:08

and body the the shallow breathing we do

38:12

we say that is breathing that's not

38:14

breathing that is automatic reflex of

38:18

your body doing

38:20

something and there it is now you take

38:23

over consciously you start to breathe

38:26

deeper you go past these

38:29

patterns depicted by a conditioned body

38:33

and that conditioning is only serving

38:35

the system but not necessarily you I

38:38

want you to take over the steer wheel I

38:40

want you to be conscious and then go

38:44

with that conscious into deeper

38:46

breathing break the patterns of your

38:48

conditioning and suddenly uh your uh

38:52

deeper traumas your deeper feelings are

38:55

able to come to the surface is being

38:58

stored up being stashed away forever and

39:03

and that is what is happening in the

39:06

first session we

39:09

do I I can promise any any person uh who

39:14

is doing it will encounter a such a

39:18

tremendous experience of himself from

39:22

the depth coming to the surface and

39:25

that's only the depth coming to the

39:27

servant that's all and it's beautiful

39:30

I'm so intrigued as to as to how that

39:32

happens so CU I've had lots of friends

39:34

that

39:35

are very um focused on breathing using

39:39

your techniques obviously I told you

39:40

before we started recording my partner

39:41

runs a breath work studio called barley

39:43

breath work where she has committed her

39:45

life to using the breath to heal people

39:48

but I I'd like someone to explain to me

39:50

you know how if I take hold of the

39:52

steering wheel and I go past those sort

39:54

of unconscious breathing um

39:57

patterns why does that unlock trauma

40:00

because when I go to my when I um have

40:02

been to my partner's breath work

40:04

sessions when they end people are

40:06

talking about very deep forms of trauma

40:08

that they've suddenly encountered and

40:10

I'm wondering how is the breath doing

40:12

that how is the breath unlocking that

40:14

stuff what is where is it hidden you

40:16

know I don't understand the breaths

40:17

connection to our trauma so traumas are

40:21

a stored Up chemistry it's unprocessed

40:26

it's when a experience happens and you

40:28

cannot deal with it you can't process it

40:30

you don't understand it's being stashed

40:32

away and it becomes biochemical stored

40:35

up

40:37

uh stored up capacity of the body is

40:40

simply there in our deeper tissue but

40:43

our conditioned mind and body is not

40:46

able to get into that depth just by

40:49

thinking yes but that we are thinking

40:52

too much and uh we know something is

40:55

wrong inside but we cannot connect with

40:58

that now if we change the patterns we

41:02

normally go into with our breathing and

41:05

thinking which goes paed which controls

41:08

our

41:09

heart it's conditioning H if we are into

41:13

that conditioning and we start simply

41:16

and that makes it so beautiful that it

41:18

is so simple and uh H how it uh uh then

41:24

uh suddenly is able to get into this Tau

41:28

to regulate our mood in the depth is by

41:33

a cab cannaboid receptors the last study

41:37

we did is a landmark study Landmark

41:41

study done by Professor DBU divar in

41:45

Detroit and it shows that the

41:47

cannabinoid

41:49

receptors are a part of the Salient

41:52

Network the Salient network is that what

41:55

makes all the networks in the brain work

41:59

together and uh with that we get a hold

42:02

of H areas we normally don't have

42:06

connection to so what the breathing does

42:11

in the depth is activating the

42:14

connectors in the body called

42:16

cannabinoid receptors by which uh deeper

42:21

uh realities of our uh physiology uh

42:25

open up and that is a natural thing to

42:30

happen when we are in peace no longer in

42:33

the trauma in the accident no now we are

42:36

in peace now we should be able to work

42:39

out what has been stored up that is a

42:42

natural capacity of ours to do that but

42:45

we have never learned in our society in

42:48

our schooling how to do it and not even

42:52

in Psychiatry they give you pills and

42:55

they give you medicines that's makes a

42:58

lot of money but it doesn't solve the

43:00

problem people become catatonic people

43:03

become my wife too after treatment in

43:06

Psychiatry the first wife she became her

43:09

eyes like like a zombie yeah a zombie

43:14

this is a blasphemy this is scandalous

43:17

in Psychiatry that they keep on doing

43:19

that now I get a lot of

43:21

psychiatrists uh a cognitive

43:24

psychologists about cognitive therapist

43:27

and they say when the cognitive

43:29

therapies have no solution anymore we do

43:32

breathing and it it just brings solution

43:36

so it is simple so effective but it

43:40

doesn't make

43:43

money it it makes people

43:47

understand I feel so much better how is

43:50

that

43:51

possible and that that's simply that how

43:55

it works

43:57

we just did The Landmark study with the

44:01

compelling findings that we actually

44:04

found

44:06

interception interceptive Focus suddenly

44:10

being able to regulate our mood emotion

44:14

much better so we are able to listen if

44:18

we listen to our body and we feel bad we

44:20

can change that we uh we found now the

44:23

key how to do that first of all you do

44:26

the breathing

44:28

called of course called training not too

44:31

much never too much just

44:35

relax we are very capable to even take

44:39

like Patrice Eva who was completely

44:44

hating it because of his when he was

44:48

young he got it as a punishment you have

44:50

to take it nice and good and open up to

44:54

the Natural capacity to take it on he

44:56

will was the best absolute best taken on

45:00

icy water for 16 minutes he was in and

45:04

he wanted to stay there in and BBC was

45:09

like oh no this is too dangerous please

45:12

come out yeah yeah you have no you have

45:14

to come out patri okay okay and he was

45:17

just walking out and you know what I

45:19

felt his skin he was not even called so

45:23

just for context is that power that's

45:25

that power it's so simple for people

45:28

that don't know Patrice is a good friend

45:30

of mine Patrice ever he's been on this

45:31

podcast before and um he he told me that

45:34

whims techniques had really changed his

45:36

life especially his relationship with

45:38

cold water he was like me he told

45:40

himself that because of his I don't know

45:42

his race where he came from his DNA he

45:45

wasn't able to spend time in cold water

45:47

but I think what he discovered through

45:49

whim was that that was actually a trauma

45:51

because when he was younger his father

45:53

used cold water as a punishment so he

45:55

had this trauma with cold water and

45:56

after doing your uh program and spending

45:58

time with you he was the very very best

46:01

at staying in cold water and when I was

46:02

with him recently was amazing he he

46:05

jumped in that cold water without

46:06

flinching you know and he told me that

46:08

throughout his entire Manchester United

46:10

playing career he was always the one

46:12

that never got into the um the the cold

46:15

recovery plunge pools at Manchester

46:16

United after the game he always avoided

46:18

it and he just wishes he wishes that he

46:21

knew what he knows now about the power

46:22

of cold water because then he would have

46:24

been able to recover better as a as a

46:26

player that's that's what he told me I

46:27

have the I have the study here in front

46:29

of me that you described there I think

46:30

it's the um the Michigan brain over body

46:32

study that was the first study and then

46:35

came a second

46:36

study uh the first study I was compared

46:39

to

46:40

74 test subjects per people and they

46:44

were all going into the uh having a a

46:49

profusion vest what is been used in when

46:54

firefighters go into the work they have

46:56

a cold water going through a perfusion

47:01

vest full of tubes so it's a vest where

47:04

they pump cold water yes okay so they

47:06

are able to endure the heat of the fire

47:09

better okay to fight the fire so they

47:12

took that into uh body scans fmri scans

47:18

and uh pump cold water into these vests

47:22

while the people were

47:24

Motionless In These

47:27

FM and so every time when the cold water

47:31

was pumped in uh the body's uh uh skin

47:36

temperature would go

47:38

down and uh and then warmed up

47:42

again a skin temperature going up and

47:45

that correlates in the brain with

47:49

stress and uh uh uh and those stress

47:53

mechanisms then when the cold is being

47:55

pumped in is very clearly seen on the

47:59

monitor of these people who connected

48:01

the people with

48:03

electrodes you could see it on the

48:05

monitor the way the brain was being

48:07

activated oh these are the stress

48:09

mechanisms and now is the warmth oh now

48:12

is the uh the areas of well-being of the

48:16

brain H activated insula and the and the

48:20

and the per aqueductal

48:23

gray whatever the names I I call it a

48:26

the the positive and the negative

48:28

registration of uh of stress and or

48:33

well-being yeah those parts and they

48:35

nobody could change that what if we

48:41

could make the feeling well part of the

48:45

brain at work when the stress comes in

48:48

so what if we could feel choose to feel

48:50

good when stress comes ah this was never

48:54

been shown in psychiatry

48:57

so they had this

48:59

experimental uh

49:01

module there and then uh nobody could

49:04

make a different brain scan possible

49:08

when stress comes in through the cold

49:10

being pumped in to the skin then stress

49:14

part of the brain is activated nobody

49:18

could make that not go uh activated not

49:23

go

49:24

away and I could I didn't feel the cult

49:28

when it came in because I warmed up my

49:31

body willfully nobody believed that was

49:34

possible um until until you did it I

49:37

want to just recount that the first

49:39

study which was done and published in

49:41

2018 it was carried out at Wayne State

49:44

University in Michigan and scientists

49:45

looked at the way that the body and the

49:46

Brain reacted to changes in temperature

49:49

whenever anyone feels the cold um they

49:51

typically have a auto automatic bodily

49:54

response um but also you can see that

49:56

that response in the brain the narrowing

49:58

of blood vessels to protect organs uh

50:00

increased energy and and pain signals so

50:03

to test whether you could control that

50:06

um those responses to the cold

50:08

scientists created a full body suit in

50:10

which they would pump cold or warm water

50:12

into your into your body on normal test

50:15

subjects their skin temperature would

50:17

rise and fall with the change in water

50:18

temperature which is what you'd expect

50:21

when whim underwent the experiment

50:23

without his breathing techniques his

50:25

skin temperature changes were very

50:27

similar to the normal people however

50:29

when he used the breathing and

50:31

meditation techniques he kept a

50:33

sustained skin temperature of 34° over

50:38

25 minutes which was never thought to be

50:41

humanly possible when he was put in a

50:44

pet scan to see what was happening

50:46

inside his body scientists saw that the

50:48

intercostal muscles which is the muscles

50:50

between your ribs were burning a lot of

50:52

glucose and releasing heat into your

50:54

body which was keeping your body warm

50:56

when looking at whims brain scientists

50:58

saw that it didn't have the same

50:59

unconscious reaction to the cold as

51:02

normal people's brains did his breathing

51:05

technique engaged the sympathetic

51:07

nervous system releasing adrenaline and

51:08

triggered the area of the brain stem

51:11

which is that um area you describing

51:12

before aqueductal gry hemisphere that

51:15

perceives pain the triggering of the

51:17

brain stem released cannaboids and

51:20

opioids and these chemicals gave a sense

51:23

of well-being and reduced anxiety and

51:26

this study showed that whim had control

51:27

over the autonomous nervous um

51:29

autonomous systems of the brain and the

51:31

brain's automatic responses to the cold

51:34

the results of this study have been uh

51:36

tremendous and they have proven the

51:38

massive potential implications for the

51:40

IM immune system disorders like diabetes

51:42

Ms and arthritis in Psychiatry so it the

51:45

TDR of that is the study really proved

51:47

that the stress we encounter throughout

51:51

our lives we do have control over it we

51:53

have control over the impact it has on

51:55

our physiological

51:57

systems but also you know our brain and

51:59

how we experience it because you were

52:01

able to not experience cold yes the pain

52:03

of cold the stress of c and it was not

52:05

about the cold it was about how to deal

52:09

with stress stress can come in many ways

52:12

emotionally physically spiritually it

52:16

can come in many ways in the end it is

52:18

biochemical stress it it turns into

52:21

biochemistry neurotoxins Etc it

52:24

accumulates it gets in the body

52:27

creates blockages it it drains and you

52:30

don't know what to do with it and and

52:32

then medicines come in and pills and it

52:35

only deteriorates it it gets worse and

52:39

and that besides of the side effects

52:41

thing is I used the cult back when I was

52:47

with my wife who died to get my

52:51

emotional Agony out of the

52:55

way and uh it was the doorway to open up

52:59

my healing my spiritual healing of me as

53:03

a puppy of my children just to be happy

53:07

with them and to provide energy and

53:11

well-being without this

53:13

traumatizing Darkness around us so I

53:18

found it through the cult yet it is not

53:21

about the cold it's about that I

53:24

regained Mastery over my to bring back

53:28

my emotion

53:29

uninterrupted cuz we should be able to

53:32

guide our emotional state of being

53:35

anytime when we feel bad naturally

53:38

naturally and that that that is what

53:41

this shows and now upon this study they

53:45

did another study and then they saw even

53:48

without me now people can do

53:51

this and that's what I wanted that is

53:55

the study Landmark study being done last

54:00

January published so that's TW 24 and uh

54:05

six years past the covid and all H and

54:09

now they see compelling evidence to keep

54:13

on and to make these studies much bigger

54:16

because their potential is that we found

54:20

to key called intercep

54:24

interception to be so strong

54:27

that we are able to control our

54:31

emotional

54:32

well-being throughout whatever stress

54:36

there is but it's not just our emotional

54:38

well-being it's also our immune system

54:40

of course that goes also with it I isn't

54:44

a a healthy person a happy person kind

54:46

of you know isn't it

54:49

interrelated I want to just highlight

54:51

this because this for me when I heard

54:52

this many years ago I thought this was

54:54

uh I thought this couldn't possibly be

54:56

true

54:56

but in

54:58

2010 um when you were 51 years old you

55:00

took part in a study at Rand bound

55:02

University Medical Center in the

55:03

Netherlands where you were injected with

55:06

a a bacterial toxin a dead straight of

55:10

ecoli in previous studies of a 100

55:13

healthy people they responded to that

55:15

injection with a flu like response which

55:17

is what you'd expect you'd get the flu

55:19

if you were injected with that however

55:21

when when you were injected with that uh

55:25

bacterial toxin

55:27

uh you had no negative immune response

55:29

apart from a minor

55:32

headache your but blood results also

55:34

showed the release of cortisol

55:36

adrenaline and the messenger messenger

55:38

chemical il10 which is an

55:40

anti-inflammatory pro protein all of

55:43

which helped you to fight off that

55:46

bacteria uh however to prove that this

55:49

wasn't just you being some superhuman

55:51

scientists gathered 30 male volunteers

55:55

12 were put into a control Group which

55:56

meant that they were just normal and 18

55:58

were trained by you uh you took 18 of

56:02

them to Poland for 4 days to train them

56:04

on meditation cold exposure annual

56:06

breathing techniques and when they were

56:08

injected with the um bacterial toxin uh

56:11

the dead strain of ecoli the trained

56:14

group had a significantly less immune

56:17

response recovered quicker and their

56:18

bodily responses were similar to your

56:21

own this was a major scientific

56:23

breakthrough and it showed people could

56:25

voluntarily control

56:26

their automatic nervous system and

56:28

immune

56:29

response which was previously thought to

56:31

be impossible and that's the viewer the

56:34

viewer is looking at this now that's you

56:38

and and that's where we want to reach

56:41

out to you have the uh uh absolute

56:44

capacity to rule so much better within

56:48

your own body and I'm I'm I'm doing the

56:51

science I'm following the science and I

56:53

think it's scandalous of the scientific

56:56

Community not to have Dove upon this why

57:01

don't we is it because it's difficult no

57:03

it's not difficult it's not now like I

57:07

don't know over the 100 million people

57:09

are doing this but through the

57:12

scientific World which is uh also in the

57:15

beginning of this conversation it's

57:18

corrupted they get funding from the

57:20

pharmaceutical industry and that's all

57:22

good Etc I'm not messing with them uh

57:25

but natural ways that could equalize the

57:30

results of medicines without side

57:33

effects should at least have a thorough

57:37

examination by the scientific uh Elite

57:41

world can I just I want to make sure I'm

57:43

super clear on what's going on here and

57:46

what to achieve these phenomenal results

57:49

um by by having a sort of doing some of

57:52

these techniques that help us to unlock

57:56

the the stress and the trauma that's

57:58

deep in our body and that enable us to

58:03

create a better response with

58:05

stress we're able to guard off the

58:07

stress which means we're able to protect

58:09

our well-being which m means that we're

58:11

able to fend off disease because we all

58:13

know that when we're highly stressed our

58:15

immune system Falls and we get sick I

58:17

know in my own life whenever I'm really

58:18

stressed is the only time that I'll ever

58:20

get a cold or or anything like that is

58:22

that is that the simple way of

58:24

describing what's going on here yeah yes

58:27

yes we have this innate capacity to

58:30

heighten our buffer zone uh toward uh

58:34

stress by which stress is not able to do

58:37

its damage and is part of the problem

58:40

with the modern way of living that we've

58:43

chosen

58:44

medication as the answer too often and

58:47

we've also made our lives as stress free

58:48

as we possibly can absolutely absolutely

58:51

there is no doubt about it and it is a

58:53

dead end street by the way and the whole

58:56

Health Care system is B burdened by the

59:00

the finances and all it's it's going to

59:03

collapse anyway if it keeps on going but

59:06

because it is a money-making uh way uh

59:10

that's why they will keep on going until

59:13

it

59:14

collapses I had professor friedr in Mar

59:18

thebook on the line uh talking

59:22

about he said to me whim the

59:27

democracy the Democracy as we know it

59:30

actually is uh at Peril in danger why

59:34

because the people are becoming so

59:37

weak and we the democracy is only uh

59:42

composed by the strength of the people

59:45

once we get all weaker and a a system

59:49

which is corrupt just to uh make money a

59:54

healthy economy on

59:56

people that wants to stay that way makes

60:00

the people weaker and weaker by which

60:03

the Democracy will know its ant will

60:06

collapse and I said hey that weakness in

60:11

the Democracy in people I can make it go

60:15

away in one

60:20

week simply sense talking to this

60:23

professor and he he agreed because he

60:26

saw it he saw it in the people he knew

60:30

it he he knew it from anecdotal evidence

60:33

he knew it from his family taking up

60:35

these crazy whm Hof techniques going

60:38

into call Wim Hof whatever is a brand

60:41

name I'm a simple guy I know what it is

60:44

to have nothing at all to be a nobody

60:48

and now I got a name and fame and all

60:51

that I don't care it's okay if I got to

60:55

stand up I will and I will say hey here

60:57

I am whim Hof the Iceman and I will

61:00

change the world how through making you

61:02

better than who you think you could be

61:06

and that is through the Wim Hof method

61:08

and fasting is good

61:11

too to deprive yourself in different

61:15

ways hor matically that is

61:18

self-inflicted acute stressful

61:20

exercise but do it consciously if you

61:23

don't go to the cult the cult will come

61:25

to you you if you don't go to dist

61:27

stress the stress will come to you cuz

61:29

we are built to endure we are built we

61:32

got these capacities so if we go into

61:35

the cult you will see that there your

61:39

whole body is able to handle stress so

61:43

much better and when you know you are

61:46

going into a stressful uh event of any

61:50

kind you know willfully to connect

61:54

yourself make your body from the inside

61:56

so strong that the stress out there is

61:59

no problem there's three elements to

62:01

this whim Hoff method there's three

62:03

pillars to the method the first is that

62:05

conscious breathing so let's just make

62:07

sure we've covered that off if I want to

62:09

be able to just do this at home if I'm

62:11

listening now and I'm in my car or I'm

62:13

walking the dog or whatever I'm on a

62:14

plane what is what is the sort of key

62:18

parts of doing the breathing technique

62:20

correctly yes do it safe yeah so never

62:25

outside where you can lose control okay

62:29

you know when you drive and you lose

62:30

control that's no good when you are in a

62:33

swimming pool you lose control h that's

62:35

no good H when you are at an Abus and

62:38

you lose control no good you know

62:40

wherever your motoric uh uh uh Power is

62:45

needed to be in control don't do it

62:49

there therefore we say

62:51

strictly this is a powerful medicinal

62:55

therapeutic

62:56

uh exercise through breathing specific

63:00

breathing uh patterns we take on if for

63:04

example we are sitting now yeah it's

63:06

safe to do it here yeah even if you

63:09

faint now then yeah you would maybe fall

63:12

here on the ground is a soft uh uh

63:16

carpet here there no problem okay

63:20

so relax it's a this is also these

63:24

moments when you okay relax I'm I'm now

63:28

turning myself into myself because I'm

63:30

going to breathe deeper I'm going to go

63:33

past my normal uh control mode normal

63:36

conditioning normal thinking so okay am

63:40

I here yes I'm

63:43

here okay here we go we have a belly we

63:48

have a chest that those uh muscles are

63:51

connected to the lungs so use your belly

63:54

and use your uh

63:57

chest to inhale

64:03

fully you can go through your mouth

64:05

through your nose as you feel how do I

64:07

know if I'm doing it correctly with my

64:08

belly yeah

64:20

just so two breaths in yeah and at a

64:25

certain moment becomes

64:37

one keep on going fully in as deep as

64:41

possible and Let It Go just Let It Go

64:45

and then fully in

64:48

again as deep as possible let it

64:52

go all in

64:57

and Let It

65:00

Go and all

65:04

in Let It Go the Mind goes with a breath

65:10

fully

65:12

in Let It

65:15

Go and all

65:19

in Let It

65:21

Go we are blowing keep on going for in

65:26

blowing of the CO2 carbon

65:29

dioxide can become a little bit DIY but

65:33

that's okay your body is charging up

65:36

it's changing your blood chemistry is

65:43

changing you may your pH levels go up in

65:48

your blood we do 10 more fully

65:53

in just follow the breath

65:57

whatever feels different breathe into it

66:01

Let It

66:03

Go and all

66:06

in Let it go this morning at 5:00 I was

66:10

doing this because I Was preparing to be

66:14

freed in my biochemistry of any [ __ ] and

66:18

this is cleansing the biochemistry

66:21

trauma anything anything that is deeply

66:23

in is being CLE yeah five

66:27

more Let It

66:29

Go fully

66:32

in Let It

66:34

Go all

66:36

in Let It Go all

66:41

in Let it

66:43

go last one hold

66:46

in let it go and stop after the

66:51

exhalation close your mouth no breathing

66:55

no need your pH levels are way up

66:59

there's no need for breathing what is

67:02

going to happen is what I was saying

67:04

mentioning

67:06

before after one minute and there is no

67:09

need for breathing because the breathing

67:11

trigger depends on co2 CO2 is blown off

67:16

you are biohacking your

67:20

body you're going deep you're going past

67:24

the condition

67:26

mind and body you're going deeper in the

67:31

tissue now you're entering into the

67:33

deepest part of your

67:35

brain it's going to shoot out adrenaline

67:40

epinephrine the adrenal axis is now in

67:45

activation now slowly but

67:48

surely five times more blood will flow

67:51

into your brain and your heart you feel

67:54

peaceful

67:56

you have it fully in control yet the

67:59

deepest of your mechanisms and the

68:00

deepest of your brain are at work right

68:03

now and because you are doing it you are

68:05

connecting with those

68:08

mechanisms that's the way we learn to

68:11

gain control over these mechanisms and

68:14

you're still without breathing even

68:17

normally you you you would die like yeah

68:20

breathing breathing you're

68:23

peaceful you're completely in control

68:26

over your parasympathetic nervous system

68:29

which is deep autonomic nervous system

68:32

level and you are in control right now

68:36

this is where trauma is starting to

68:40

release five 4 3 2 1 now you take a full

68:46

breath

68:47

in hold it and press it to your head

68:52

press it to your head press it to your

68:55

head

68:56

this is

68:57

subliminal cerebral spinal fluid to your

69:01

head it's flushing in and all brain 100%

69:05

neural Activity 3 2 1 let it

69:11

go

69:13

good if we go into a next round you will

69:16

be able to go say for two minutes

69:19

without breathing then 2 and 1/2 minutes

69:21

then 3

69:23

minutes after exhalation

69:27

it is it cannot be something else than a

69:30

regaining a control deeper than ever

69:33

before thought possible and this is what

69:36

we have shown this is where the bacteria

69:38

suddenly had no

69:39

chance the virus has no chance why is it

69:44

that the world doesn't know about this

69:47

why is it that the scientific world is

69:50

not examining this as a beneficial

69:53

therapeutical power to battle all the

69:56

diseases we got because aren't we built

70:00

with an immune system that

70:02

shoot Hal virus bacteria uh inflammation

70:07

it is but it is never at way because

70:10

this is deeper than our conditioned body

70:12

and mind and this is the way to get a

70:16

hold of that it feels so I feel very

70:19

different in every in every sense of the

70:21

word I feel when I came back into the

70:22

room it all felt very it almost felt a

70:25

little bit like I just woken up but it

70:28

also I was a little you know it was a

70:29

little bit of it was very peaceful

70:32

peaceful and I was very um when I came

70:34

back into the room I felt very focused

70:36

nice I felt like I this is the last

70:38

study I did with 540 people in Australia

70:42

it shows uh that this uh um this uh

70:48

method is compared to meditation and

70:52

mindfulness Works a whole lot better how

70:55

did you learn this where did you learn

70:57

this by intuition you remember the

71:00

mother who made me uh

71:03

uh become a missionary become a seeker

71:07

and then I found the cold water what

71:10

does the cold water do first time you go

71:12

into cold

71:13

water you learn to breathe deep and that

71:17

makes all the change at a certain moment

71:19

I became aware that if I was breathing

71:22

deeper slowly and deep slowly and deep I

71:26

was able to endure the cold much longer

71:30

that means that if we go into deeper

71:34

breathing we are able to activate deeper

71:38

mechanisms that are able to make us a

71:40

lot stronger and that translates to life

71:44

yeah translates to everyday life I want

71:46

to get on to the cold water which is the

71:48

sort of second pillar of the Wim Hof

71:50

method but the third pillar I find

71:52

really interesting as well which is the

71:55

power of the Mind exactly what do you

71:58

mean by this the power of the mind

72:00

you're telling me that I can do things

72:01

to my mind to make my mind stronger and

72:05

more resilient oh yes oh yes what do you

72:09

mean by the power of the Mind the first

72:10

of all we just recently did this new

72:13

study it's coming out now um it's into

72:17

submitting and they did it with 540

72:20

people so meditation and mindfulness is

72:24

about the mind isn't it to bring anxiety

72:27

down to bring stress down this method

72:31

works better than mindfulness and

72:35

meditation which is in the corporate

72:37

world but also in the wellness industry

72:40

uh overall and also therapeutically in

72:42

the health Mental Health Care uh yeah

72:47

systems uh being accept accepted and uh

72:52

implemented and used as a therap

72:56

therapeutical means so this works better

73:02

uh the stress resilience goes way up

73:05

stress experience goes way down and the

73:10

cognitive awareness goes also way up is

73:14

what you just said and uh this was only

73:17

one round imagine if you do four rounds

73:21

you will go so deep that's yeah

73:24

unprecedent enter deep where you will go

73:27

and things can come to the surface never

73:30

been stashed away you never knew of or

73:33

we're not aware of at all this is all

73:36

blocking our

73:38

awareness and now when it's getting out

73:41

of the way then suddenly our awareness

73:44

becomes bigger brighter nicer more flow

73:49

more receptive more sharper clearer and

73:53

all and uh that

73:55

that is part of a system that suddenly

74:00

is able to override our

74:03

conditioning so our conditioning is a

74:07

conditioning wherein deeper mechanisms

74:10

are not really at work but we are able

74:13

to function in this Society system Etc

74:16

but not necessarily we are connected

74:19

with the depth of our selves and when

74:23

trauma happens or emotion start to be

74:26

not nice we don't know what to do with

74:28

that now the power of the mind is very

74:32

simple through doing this you learn to

74:35

override to create a different

74:38

conditioned mind and body

74:41

relationship and suddenly opens up a new

74:45

terrain a new capacity in the brain to

74:48

connect with and that is

74:50

interoception interoception

74:52

interoception interception and and with

74:55

that we suddenly learn to

74:58

control uh and to command our bodies a

75:01

vessel of our emotions of our sensations

75:05

of or whatever we experience that's our

75:08

body but when it feels bad we don't know

75:11

what to do and now we found a way to go

75:15

past that conditioned State and we found

75:18

a new way in the brain and get a hold of

75:21

that which is there naturally to control

75:24

control whatever is going wrong to

75:27

re-regulate it to rebalance it to reset

75:31

it to make our bad feelings emotions uh

75:35

disease Etc make it go away in our

75:40

Command that is the power of the mind

75:43

which is a natural capacity of ours

75:47

which should be revealed past uh the

75:50

system way of thinking and be brought

75:54

into SE secondary school or or even when

75:57

kids are very young that they are able

76:00

to depict their own happiness strength

76:03

and health is part of the building up

76:06

the power of the Mind

76:09

becoming stepping into personal

76:11

responsibility and stepping away from

76:13

victimhood yes because victimhood is no

76:15

longer needed

76:17

responsibility is there where we have

76:20

the ability to respond and this is these

76:24

are the tools then suddenly we feel we

76:27

got the stair wheel in our hand how do

76:29

you train someone though to stop being a

76:31

victim in their own life in one in one

76:33

session how just do this breathing yeah

76:37

and then uh we go into the ice birth

76:40

yeah they suddenly feel

76:43

power sorry that I'm yelling you can

76:46

yell yeah it's power people feel the

76:51

being silent in that ice bath oh

76:54

overcoming all that stress and suddenly

76:57

feel that they are on top of it and they

77:00

are suddenly able to go past this

77:02

concept of this dangerous cold power

77:07

energy coming to No Control this anxiety

77:11

is suddenly they got a halt complete

77:14

halt over that and with that comes that

77:17

Paradigm that always thought of that to

77:19

be impossible to control Suddenly It's a

77:22

piece of cake that that is then turning

77:26

into a a a domino effect a Cascade of uh

77:31

uh feelings of hey if I can do that I

77:34

can do that I can do that I can do

77:36

that so you can build personal

77:38

responsibility by taking control of the

77:40

cold and not oh absolutely and in just

77:42

one day okay well guess what whim

77:47

upstairs I have two ice baths I've

77:50

always been bad with the cold always

77:53

it's a story I've told myself for my

77:55

entire life so seeing as you're here and

77:58

seeing as I just happened to have two

77:59

ice baths

78:01

upstairs could we go upstairs and get in

78:04

those ice baths and you can teach me how

78:05

to master the cold so the cold no longer

78:08

Masters

78:09

me follow me on this I'm I'm just a a

78:13

brother of another mother in this yeah

78:17

we are like family family people have

78:20

the capacity to transmit their energy M

78:24

it's logical it's it's nothing woa it's

78:28

real and you will feel it's real today

78:32

here in the ice just follow me there in

78:36

and very soon you take the reins over

78:39

you

78:40

yourself let's do it

78:44

okay okay so when we've got uh two ice

78:47

baths here is there a certain

78:49

temperature they need to be does it

78:51

matter no this this is the right temp

78:54

temperature very

78:58

cold

79:00

yeah so so so so talk me through what

79:03

we're going to do and how we're going to

79:04

prepare is there a way I I want to do

79:06

one minute horse St with you I've not

79:08

done this before so you need to coach me

79:10

through

79:11

yeah your voice I want to hear you yeah

79:26

why are we doing this because you're

79:28

going to go into the ice and then you

79:31

feel why okay because it's feeling got

79:35

to go into your feeling now okay so

79:38

command your body to feel

79:42

strong mhm yeah mhm we bring happiness

79:46

strength and health to the whole wide

79:48

world MH yes mhm okay command yourself

79:52

to be strong this is a

79:57

to see if you are able to commence your

79:59

body from the inside to be strong MH

80:04

right mhm so let's go in mhm

80:10

sorry stay with your breath we are

80:13

friends come on we show the world from

80:17

the inside is the power let the body do

80:21

what the body is capable of long out

80:26

breath long out

80:29

breath long out you're doing good look

80:35

at hey you didn't think this one like

80:38

this yet you're doing

80:40

good yeah it let your body do what the

80:43

body is capable of it takes about 20

80:47

seconds more then then your body is

80:50

adapting from the inside means that the

80:54

hormone system suddenly has found a way

80:57

to oppose the

80:59

impact and that makes your body strong

81:02

that makes your immune system on that

81:04

makes your emotions being within your

81:09

control the deepest part of the brain

81:13

now is within because you are doing it

81:17

is within your command and that is

81:21

reestablishing natural power of us this

81:25

is what we are going to bring to the

81:27

whole wide of world because we love the

81:31

people and we bring happiness strength

81:34

and health no it's power this is power

81:38

but silent

81:40

nice how simple it can be I'm not a

81:44

sorcerer or something or a magician life

81:49

is Magic yes let's get to life look at

81:54

he was afraid of the cold hey the cold

81:57

is not mine I'm got a warm body it's

82:00

just not mine look at them now you can't

82:04

buy

82:05

this you can obtain this happiness

82:09

health and strength you can obtain it

82:12

you just go to the cold and the cold

82:14

doesn't come to you did you have done it

82:17

yeah yeah I love it what what time of

82:20

the day do you do it in the in the

82:21

morning in the morning and how long

82:23

would you sit in here in the morning

82:25

sometimes I stay I had a birthday when I

82:29

became 60 I thought I'm going to show

82:32

the world that I'm [ __ ] strong sorry

82:34

for the

82:36

French but I'm going to stay 60 Minutes

82:39

in the in the icy water and I had happy

82:42

times and 61 I did 61 minutes 62 I did

82:47

62 minutes 63 I had 63 and when I became

82:51

64 I thought that's boring no going to

82:55

do this

82:56

anymore yeah you your nature is on

83:00

inside and that's the whole message and

83:03

with that comes the a strengthened

83:06

immune system a strengthened

83:08

cardiovascular system cardiovascular

83:12

related issues is killer number one in

83:15

our

83:17

society through this it's

83:20

gone this the way to tackle it

83:23

connection with the depth of the brain

83:25

the deepest part of the brain and if you

83:28

are able to go to the deepest part where

83:31

else can you not

83:33

go so if I did this once a day you think

83:35

I'd be better equipped to deal with the

83:38

stress of work and the stress of Life

83:41

yeah of

83:43

course man and you don't need to go this

83:46

long

83:47

into an eyes bath two three minutes is

83:51

enough I we''ve been in six minutes it

83:54

it doesn't feel cold anymore though I

83:57

actually feel a bit warm funly enough my

83:58

legs feel like they're warm but I don't

84:00

know if that's just from my body

84:02

shutting down or something

84:03

yeah okay I think it now there time

84:07

enough come louder you did it come

84:12

on down

84:15

amazing thank you so much it was so

84:17

interesting the first um the first 20

84:19

seconds of that process are so

84:22

fascinating because I had to conf a lot

84:24

of things I had to confront a lot of

84:27

natural reactions that told me to stop

84:30

to get out to you know my body went into

84:33

like a phase of panic and it's funny

84:35

because as I reflect on that feeling of

84:36

like Panic it was like a wall and it was

84:40

a wall that I had to make a decision

84:42

about going through or going backwards

84:46

and I say this because I think in a lot

84:48

of Our Lives we're surrounded by these

84:51

walls and it's in many of our Lives

84:53

actually the walls kind of close in on

84:55

us and what I learned in the first sort

84:57

of 20 seconds of that process was that

84:59

that wall was something I created myself

85:02

it was a figment of my imagination and

85:04

as I sat there for what five six

85:06

minutes my body almost said to me it was

85:10

like sorry I was lying I was lying to

85:12

you something was lying because five six

85:15

minutes in I'm completely fine yeah but

85:18

in that first 20 seconds some Panic

85:20

signal went off and told me to retreat

85:22

and so I just find that so fascinating

85:24

it's like there's something about

85:25

breaking through a wall

85:27

mhm that you once really believed was

85:30

real that illuminates your mind to the

85:34

what other kind of self-limiting beliefs

85:36

you're currently constrained by in

85:39

everyday life you know I could I

85:41

couldn't say it better uh self-limiting

85:44

uh belief uh beliefs coming in at a

85:48

certain moment become blockages become

85:51

patterns become condition and that

85:54

conditioning uh withholds us from going

85:57

through uh things when they come to our

86:00

lives because they are too stressful

86:03

they are uh uh mirroring that what we uh

86:07

through our self- believing uh limiting

86:10

uh way of thinking have created then we

86:12

see it outside and we don't go in it we

86:15

don't go through it anymore and thus we

86:18

don't find uh uh these things in our

86:22

lives anymore to uh

86:25

as life's lessons it's no longer there

86:29

and and there we limit ourselves and

86:31

become narrowed so what we have found

86:35

now through these uh practices that we

86:38

are able to command our bodies so much

86:42

better to go through the self-limiting

86:46

self H disc conditioning because in most

86:49

of the time it is uh that we get

86:52

schooled that we have to follow rules

86:55

ethics morals Etc at a certain moment we

86:59

got a belief system that is not

87:01

necessarily who we are in the depth and

87:05

this is where this Society is

87:07

suffering uh big time of having no

87:12

connection with this invisible purpose

87:15

of ours which is there but we it's

87:20

behind the wall and simply through doing

87:24

this you see you have the power to go

87:28

through these walls you have the power

87:31

to uh become exactly who you are and

87:34

what you are that is what the C is

87:38

showing it doesn't show what what you

87:41

think it shows you who you are and what

87:43

you are and from there you will see that

87:47

the walls in your life of whatever

87:50

invisibly what stalking you will

87:55

disappear is this in part why it seems

87:58

like a lot of people in society right

88:00

now are choosing discomfort because you

88:02

know we've got kind of gone one way as a

88:04

society we've gone to comfort and then

88:05

you've got this counter movement of

88:07

people that are now doing Ma ultra

88:09

marathon runs and they're cold plunging

88:12

and they're they're doing things to put

88:14

themselves in intentional discomfort it

88:16

seems like it's for me it's I've

88:18

observed it like a counter movement yes

88:22

and it is and and it is but H the the

88:26

thing is H now that we are showing in

88:29

signs with the professor Vibe of divar

88:34

mostly in Auto music uh that we found a

88:38

key and the key is the innate capacity

88:41

of ours to command our bodies much

88:44

better in our emotions because in the

88:46

end it's not about going into the

88:49

extremes it's about handling our emotion

88:52

and to feel that we are on top of it no

88:56

matter what and that being able to pass

89:00

on to our

89:02

children the way

89:05

reactionary it

89:07

all we go into these extremes and all

89:11

that is a that is a reaction of our uh

89:17

massive Paradigm encountering too much

89:21

comfort now hey let's go to that but

89:24

that's reactionary human is it that we

89:28

actually uh are here to uh learn to have

89:32

a uh Hal absolute Hal over our emotion

89:37

which is directly connected to our

89:40

purpose because from the beginning or uh

89:44

it the problem the conflict is the

89:47

conflict with our soul and our soul is

89:51

about when we realize our soul and the

89:54

unlimited power of the of the Mind

89:57

serving us to find realization of that

90:00

soul and that is for every person unique

90:04

what are the other things that are like

90:05

Staples of your daily routine eat once a

90:09

day you eat once a day yeah okay so you

90:13

you wake so can you run me through a a

90:15

perfect whm Hof day yeah in the morning

90:18

uh I wake up uh next to my wife and my

90:21

child the my youngest is uh is six and

90:27

actually there's a new one coming I'm 65

90:31

but hey man I'm alive I'm sorry and I

90:35

got a yeah I found a younger woman eight

90:39

and a half years ago we are very happy

90:42

together and she says don't talk about

90:44

it

90:45

and I'm sorry but I'm very happy my

90:50

oldest son is 42 and my youngest is

90:52

going to be zero very soon so that's

90:58

life I wake up and I I look at my

91:02

beloveds next to me still sleeping and

91:06

wow like Angels what time did you wake

91:09

up 5:00 5:00 halfast 5 uh halfast 4

91:16

around there why so early that that is

91:19

me now sometimes I just sleep until 9:00

91:23

okay it's

91:24

I'm not really bound okay but uh uh time

91:28

is serving me I'm not serving time in

91:31

the morning I do my exercising a ritual

91:35

and I like my coffee in the morning I

91:37

start no sugar just coffee a little bit

91:41

milk and

91:43

nice what are those exercising

91:46

routines you saw me doing the

91:51

split I want to do a world record by the

91:54

way in three third of August in Germany

91:57

with 4,000 people doing this and do you

92:00

use weights or anything yeah a yeah use

92:02

weights before not okay I I did push-ups

92:07

it's like weight yeah your own weight so

92:10

you can do that or weights and uh uh I

92:14

got a bar where normally you got put the

92:18

weight on MH you do this it's about 10K

92:21

yeah I make it Circle mhm like a stick

92:26

if you do that 500 times

92:31

it's you really go deep you go to your

92:34

pain I if I do exercises I I do it to

92:39

the threshold of

92:41

pain and then I overcome the

92:44

pain then it's then it's okay that is

92:48

body

92:49

awareness that body awareness I want to

92:52

know feel feel

92:54

that I live not know feel that I I'm

92:58

alive when's that first meal of the day

93:01

uh later later in the day so no

93:03

breakfast no no no no breakfast no lunch

93:06

why no lunch because I I feel stuffed

93:09

up I feel too much this is also part of

93:13

conditioning I could also enjoy a very

93:16

nice

93:17

breakfast very nice breakfast is very

93:20

nice you know with the sea and sitting

93:23

there relax wow some eggs some this some

93:27

that nice coffee hello how are you the

93:32

newspaper or look at the phone it's

93:35

enjoying life I I could do that but I I

93:41

really enjoy the feeling that I'm

93:43

fasting

93:45

inside a little that that I'm going

93:48

against like the cold if you go to the

93:50

cold then the cold doesn't come to you

93:53

yeah when when the appetite comes I just

93:56

DeLay So you fast for you're doing some

93:59

sort of intermittent fasting there as

94:01

they call it you're you're going yeah

94:02

but I I I did this since I was a young

94:06

kid again intuition yeah intuition it's

94:09

just how you felt yes because the

94:10

external narrative is you got to have

94:12

three meals a day maybe four meals a day

94:13

you've got to have breakfast you know

94:15

lunch dinner no no no yeah that's just

94:18

just made up it's made

94:20

up uh you should feel like any any

94:23

animal in the world is not eating when

94:27

it doesn't need to eat because it

94:29

doesn't think it only eats when it feels

94:33

and when it feels that it needs to eat

94:37

his eyes become bigger becoming more

94:39

alert adrenaline starts to run they

94:43

become sharper they then all the systems

94:46

are at work that is the way it it

94:49

automatically exercises its all of body

94:53

that's how I I live my life and I've

94:55

always thought I was a bit strange but

94:56

we're now at 1 p.m. I haven't eaten

94:58

anything today sometimes I get a little

94:59

bit later into the day I mean yesterday

95:01

this week it's been 5 6 p.m. I think

95:03

yesterday was 700 p.m. my first meal and

95:06

I I I'm okay I I don't know what the you

95:10

know but I yeah you enjoy life you enjoy

95:14

the energies I focus better I have

95:16

better conversations yeah yeah all that

95:20

if you fast a little

95:22

bit long and then you become sharper and

95:26

it's a nice feeling once upon a time if

95:29

you had a business idea it was

95:31

exceptionally difficult to get going but

95:33

now in the age of Shopify it is

95:37

exceptionally easy as many of you will

95:39

know Shopify are a sponsor of this

95:41

podcast if you don't know Shopify it's

95:43

an exceptionally simple web platform for

95:45

anybody that's got an idea that wants to

95:47

transact on a global scale so things

95:50

like these conversation cards which we

95:51

sell we've sold using Shopify and it

95:54

only took us a couple of clicks to get

95:57

going so why did we choose Shopify for a

95:59

number of reasons but I think one of the

96:00

big ones which goes unappreciated is

96:02

their checkout system converts 36%

96:05

better compared to other platforms and

96:08

here's what I'm going to do to remove

96:09

the cost for you if you go to

96:11

shopify.com Bartlet you'll be able to

96:14

try Shopify for

96:15

$1 a month I've seen Shopify completely

96:19

change people's lives and for many of

96:21

you I think it could change yours

96:24

when you look at our society and the

96:26

these sort of stories we've told

96:27

ourselves about how we're supposed to

96:29

live yeah what are the other s is there

96:31

any anything else that's really

96:32

fundamental that you think people should

96:33

question you've talked to me about the

96:35

breath you've talked to me about

96:36

discomfort breathing is one of them

96:38

you've talked to me there about fasting

96:39

as well is there anything else that you

96:41

know whether it's relationships or our

96:43

work or our purpose that is just a lie

96:47

in your opinion oh yes our energy is

96:50

being drained it's like thieving and uh

96:54

uh uh uh we should have all the energy

96:57

to bring happiness strength and health

96:59

to our kids and to feel bright bright

97:02

and shiny in life but we don't because

97:06

we have to do this do that take on

97:09

stress and think about this think about

97:11

that who did this whatever did this is

97:15

is a massive Paradigm going on

97:18

taking our en energetic bodies and with

97:23

that our our emotions and with that our

97:25

life force and and there it is the real

97:29

philosophy serves that Paradigm where

97:32

one becomes happy strong and healthy and

97:34

is able to pass it on you're only good

97:38

if you are able to be happy strong

97:41

healthy inside and then pass it radiate

97:45

that to

97:47

others there you go past your ego and

97:51

that we we we don't live that we survive

97:54

in this Society we live in a competitive

97:57

world we have all kinds of rules in this

98:00

and that but do we really feel bright

98:04

and and the top the best of ourselves

98:08

are we able to give love in full

98:12

conviction that it is good and to

98:16

others are we there I don't think so and

98:21

that is what we are going to bring

98:25

when you say you need to know live in

98:26

your purpose how do I know what my

98:28

purpose is do I have to go find it

98:31

somewhere do I you know what just be

98:34

happy strong and healthy rest is

98:38

[ __ ] just be happy strong and

98:40

healthy and purpose will follow yes that

98:43

is the purpose the characteristics of

98:46

purpose is not to be in conflict with

98:48

your soul happy strong and heal

98:52

healthy then you become happy strong and

98:55

healthy you don't need to work for that

98:57

so much a couple of exercises more than

99:01

enough if I do my exercise and I'm not a

99:04

whole day working out it's it's 10

99:08

minutes 15 minutes but I'm

99:12

ready this morning because later I have

99:15

a keynote speech and I got to go to the

99:18

record label I got to meet somebody who

99:22

is managing by government mid School of

99:25

the England I got to meet them and and

99:29

something else uh I I thought okay today

99:34

I got to be ready so what I'm doing I

99:37

breathe like a

99:39

[ __ ] in there morning in

99:43

bed and cleanse myself so deeply that

99:47

I'm ready to take on anything that is

99:50

coming and in that way I will absolutely

99:54

serve and especially being with you

99:56

which is a pleasure a great pleasure we

99:59

are serving purpose right over here

100:04

unmistakably straight wh we have a

100:07

closing tradition on this podcast where

100:09

the last guest leaves a question for the

100:11

next guest and my last guest left a

100:14

question for you that is inside the

100:15

Diary of a CEO and the question that was

100:19

left for you is

100:24

what is one thing you can

100:28

do next week to prove to your friends or

100:33

family that they matter to you more than

100:37

your

100:38

work oh oh work like work 9 to5 is work

100:44

because my work is my life my work is my

100:47

mission and in the end it is not work I

100:52

I feel all the to do that

100:55

so next week more than my work to keep

100:59

on what I'm doing right here right now

101:02

do you believe in like work life balance

101:04

you know people say work life balance

101:06

you've got to yeah my wife is talking

101:08

about that but I don't I don't feel that

101:11

I feel I'm busy with my mission and with

101:15

my daily life at the same time there is

101:19

no work I have no night to five I think

101:22

you have no night to5 do you know we

101:25

depict our own realities I think our

101:28

power is stronger than they made us

101:31

think it is by which we have a power

101:34

which is stronger than uh what is

101:37

man-made coming to us we are stronger

101:41

and that's why we go and uh we don't

101:44

work you know yeah we work the game we

101:47

work the society we work at all but hey

101:50

it's not like 9 to5 and we got to obey

101:53

and this and that we don't do that why

101:57

you got a maybe

101:59

unexplainable U genetical uh Power in

102:03

you that may made you into who you are

102:08

what and what you are right now and you

102:10

got a great responsibility but also that

102:14

great ability to respond and that is

102:17

more than 9 to5 that person this is my

102:22

last question today that person who is

102:24

in that N9 to5 and they are struggling

102:27

and they are trapped and they have been

102:30

conditioned by school University their

102:33

parents desires who were also you know

102:35

their parents were also conditioned in

102:36

that

102:37

way what would what would you say to

102:39

those people as a closing message to

102:41

those people oh yeah guys just do what

102:45

Stephen just

102:47

showed you thought you were not able to

102:50

I cannot do what Iceman is doing or what

102:53

Stephen has got or what he is doing and

102:56

I cannot man you can do that too the

103:00

most precious of all the greatest wealth

103:04

you can Embrace is your happiness your

103:06

strength and your health and you can get

103:08

it every day

103:12

anybody that's you that's

103:15

you it's love it's

103:18

powerful whim thank you thank you so

103:21

much for your time you've been a a

103:22

legend and an icon and inspiration to me

103:24

to my partner Melanie um and to so many

103:27

people I mean all these people written

103:28

on the front of the book I actually

103:29

think every single one of these people

103:30

I've sat down here with from Joe to Ben

103:33

to be to Russell all of them and uh Russ

103:36

oh Fern I've sat with her as well and

103:38

gabble and James Nester ah all seven

103:41

people on your book I I've gotten to

103:43

know and they've many of them have

103:44

mentioned the profound impact that your

103:46

work has had and I was before we sat

103:48

down today that I was going through so

103:50

many videos of people who describe how

103:53

changed their life in a really really

103:54

profound way so on behalf of all you did

103:57

you do that's your work he you do the

103:59

study you study people coming because

104:03

next week or tomorrow I don't know when

104:06

a a new people come in and you will

104:07

study again M yeah that's amazing thank

104:10

you for all that you're doing because

104:12

you're Pro you're providing a counter

104:14

narrative and a counter solution in a

104:17

world where it feels like there's only

104:18

one and that current solution is failing

104:20

so many so thank you for that whim we

104:23

have to change the narrative and we will

104:26

because we want to make the people happy

104:28

strong and healthy and independent of

104:30

all what is going on we got to reset it

104:32

all here we are here we are thank

104:39

you I'm going to let you in on a little

104:41

secret what is in the Diary of a COO Cup

104:45

this cup that sits in front of me when I

104:46

interview these people sometimes for 3

104:48

hours and sometimes three people a day

104:51

and the answer is this perfect t I

104:53

invested in the company on Dragon's Den

104:55

and since then they've gone from an idea

104:57

to the fastest growing energy drink in

105:00

the UK it is a mat energy drink and it

105:03

is absolutely delicious but that's not

105:05

why I choose to drink it on this podcast

105:07

the reason I choose to drink it is

105:08

because it gives me what I call all day

105:11

energy I don't get the same crashes that

105:13

I used to get with other energy drinks

105:14

if you're in the middle of a

105:15

conversation or you're in the middle of

105:16

a talk on stage or in the boardroom the

105:18

last thing you want to do is have a

105:20

crash you don't want Jitters and you

105:22

need

105:23

focus and that is why they now sponsor

105:25

this podcast not only is it delicious

105:27

but it gives me a significant

105:29

competitive Advantage if you haven't

105:30

tried it go down to a Tesco go to a

105:32

waitrose or go online and use the code

105:35

diary 10 at checkout and you'll get 10%

105:38

off and when you do try it let me know

105:39

how you get on

Interactive Summary

Wim Hof, also known as 'The Iceman,' explores his life's mission, scientific research, and the 'Wim Hof Method' of breathing and cold exposure. He details how these techniques help individuals gain control over their autonomic nervous and immune systems, reduce the impact of stress and trauma, and improve physical and mental well-being. The conversation also covers his personal history, including early trauma and the loss of his wife, and how these experiences led him to seek deeper human capacities and a life of purpose.
