oh

0:17

hey there dave here along with kristin

0:19

jordan we are dumb money this is dumb

0:21

money live

0:22

good monday morning to everybody uh

0:24

before we go any further

0:25

you know what i have to do right i see a

0:27

bunch of you have already done it

0:29

and that is tapping the like button for

0:31

those of you who haven't i know what

0:33

you're thinking

0:34

this is ridiculous why does every

0:35

youtuber just talk about this

0:37

but the thing is think of it less

0:40

like and less like something you're

0:43

doing for us but think of it as a civil

0:45

civic duty to help people find this and

0:47

help determine the fate of our democracy

0:49

so vote with your thumb

0:51

today we're talking about our 1.5

0:53

million investment in crocs the

0:55

foam shoe company that we all love to

0:57

hate the fashion statement

0:59

that for some reason celebrities and

1:01

influencers and artists and

1:03

fashion designers and streetwear brands

1:05

and even fast food chains

1:07

all want to be a part of a crocs collab

1:10

and somehow every collab can

1:12

completely sell out and spark even more

1:13

interesting crocs

1:15

chris jordan my first question for you

1:18

have you ever actually worn

1:19

croc uh great question dave

1:24

i bet jordan has um

1:27

i've got floafers that's my uh that's my

1:30

bed it's like a local startup

1:31

it looks it's kind of like a croc type

1:33

material um but they

1:34

it looks like a driving shoe it's great

1:37

dude they're fine

1:38

they're foam

1:43

i don't foresee crocs ever making an

1:45

appearance in my household

1:46

um my my version

1:49

of crocs uh are dudes which

1:52

i think i got dave hooked on maybe yeah

1:55

no i i

1:56

definitely have two pairs of dudes

1:58

they're they're foam bottom but canvas

2:00

sides so

2:01

yes you look i don't know a little less

2:04

ridiculous maybe

2:05

they look awesome dave they're like the

2:07

greatest

2:08

shoes jordan i got to get you in on them

2:11

this is

2:12

these are the times when i think we need

2:13

to like get sponsors because like we

2:15

just talk about this stuff

2:17

get into my shoes i've got i've got toms

2:19

for when it's dry

2:20

and then i've got floafers for when it's

2:22

wet or i'm going to the lake or going to

2:23

the pool

2:24

it's i've already like i'm locked in for

2:26

the rest of my life as long as those

2:27

people

2:28

stay around i never have to think about

2:30

it again

2:31

jordan if the dudes weigh like a feather

2:34

it feels like you're wearing a feather

2:35

on your

2:36

head like they both weigh nothing

2:39

they're great

2:40

and do you know what else is amazing and

2:41

i've actually been wearing more than my

2:43

dudes

2:44

literally i don't wear shoes pretty much

2:46

i feel like this whole year i haven't

2:47

worn shoes but

2:48

when i do i've been going for my all

2:50

birds which is that

2:51

wool kind of shoe that breathes and has

2:54

a wool bottom

2:55

it's those are awesome too they they

2:58

have rubber

2:58

super lightweight i don't know i can't

3:01

like i can't wear

3:02

shoes though like i can't tie like

3:05

him

3:05

i can't do i don't have time for that in

3:07

my life i have uh

3:09

all bird slippers oh really right they

3:11

do make those

3:12

dave i love wool so i love the wool

3:16

concept of that i just the ones i've

3:18

seen i don't love the style but maybe i

3:20

haven't seen the newer versions of them

3:22

maybe they've

3:22

changed the style a little bit i mean i

3:25

feel like when i wear my

3:26

slipper versions it is all about not

3:28

being a fashion statement but i wear

3:29

them on walks around the block and stuff

3:31

it's it's great um the tie up ones

3:35

are a little bit they're trying to be

3:37

better looking i think

3:38

they're not i don't wear them because

3:40

they look good i wear them because

3:41

they're comfortable

3:42

and they they feel good and i like the

3:45

the way the wool

3:46

kind of just it's a sockless shoe that's

3:49

perfect for me

3:51

mark says only guys buying crocs are

3:53

guys getting paid to wear them i guess

3:55

but not necessarily true because like

3:57

the bieber

3:58

thing we'll talk about this like these

4:01

people were

4:01

big fans of crocs before they started

4:05

wearing like they

4:06

really did like i mean it's it's

4:08

interesting it's like a weird

4:10

like you know i think people like screw

4:12

you i'm wearing crocs i don't care

4:14

and that's that right now is like a cool

4:16

thing just not to care i guess

4:18

yeah i get the crocs thing as far as

4:21

like comfort and not caring

4:22

i just think they're clunky and i don't

4:24

have enough

4:25

like i like things that are form-fitting

4:27

on my feet and so something that's

4:29

clunky like that i just can't get past

4:30

it i guess

4:31

there are people that can get past that

4:33

because they're blowing up right now

4:35

but before croc there was another uh

4:37

kind of fashion statement that i'm not

4:39

so sure

4:40

made the statement that i was wanting uh

4:42

and that was

4:43

what are they called those uh

4:44

birkenstocks oh man

4:46

and that's that's you know they're

4:48

having a resurgence there's a foam

4:50

birkenstock thing going on right now and

4:52

so like

4:53

i've seen ladies wear like pink foam

4:55

birkenstocks

4:56

like instead of the leather one with the

4:58

cork like they're just all foam

5:00

that seems like a crock though right but

5:03

i think they're made by brainstorm

5:05

um everyone's getting their way i do

5:08

want to kind of tease some posts

5:10

i want to talk about crocs starting

5:11

right now so we hit 200 but

5:13

i want to tease something don't like

5:16

leave us

5:16

because at the end of this episode some

5:18

big things have happened

5:19

dunkin donuts you've probably seen guys

5:22

we're going to talk about duncan as one

5:24

of our big trades we're gonna talk about

5:26

uh we're gonna touch on the vaccine

5:28

stuff a little bit by the way i made

5:30

some monster trades

5:32

uh friday and this morning fortunately

5:36

uh i'll just say i'm very happy even

5:38

though my account is down over

5:40

half a million dollars today uh even

5:42

with the b down over half a million

5:44

i am really happy with these trades i

5:46

made uh

5:47

going into today so we're gonna this is

5:50

a pivotal time

5:51

there's about to be some huge

5:54

opportunities

5:55

huge opportunities um everything that i

5:58

want to happen is happening right this

6:00

second so

6:02

if it continues to happen over the next

6:03

week i think the opportunities are only

6:05

going to get bigger

6:06

um and this is kind of connected to the

6:09

vaccine trade that we talked about

6:11

late last week so stick with us uh post

6:14

crocs today um and by the way me and me

6:18

and dave at least i don't know and

6:19

jordan's not going to make it out

6:20

we're going to spend the rest of today

6:22

preparing for tomorrow's episode which

6:24

is going to be

6:25

the biggest live pokemon event

6:29

in history we're going to if it's not

6:31

raining too hard and it might be

6:33

we're gonna try to get aerial footage of

6:34

this tomorrow okay guys like

6:36

yes we have secure we have security

6:39

guards

6:40

we have we are taking we are going to

6:43

the bank

6:44

live to get 375 000 of cash and we'll be

6:47

stuffing

6:48

it in a suitcase to hand it to people

6:50

we've never met before that are arriving

6:52

tomorrow morning

6:53

they're flying in with this with this

6:56

box of pokemon cards

6:58

in its lucite case and

7:01

we're going to uh open the box

7:05

we have experts on hand to authenticate

7:07

it for us

7:08

so we have the biggest pokemon youtuber

7:10

in the world that is joining us tomorrow

7:12

live like not on youtube like he's gonna

7:14

be here

7:24

yeah lionheart lionheart uh anyway so

7:27

it's gonna be it's gonna be a really

7:28

cool episode tomorrow guys one

7:30

you know if the market gets slaughtered

7:31

you can just take a break from that and

7:32

just hang out with us and talk pokemon

7:35

uh you you were just telling me that the

7:38

market that did get slaughtered today

7:40

uh you went a little deeper and you you

7:43

had a short position

7:44

on the spy uh that you did last week

7:47

and then today you went even shorter

7:49

right as the market was starting to go

7:51

negative you got more how how far

7:55

um are you short on spy right now

7:58

between spy

8:01

uh booking.com which i re-entered that

8:04

short

8:05

and dave and busters and

8:08

you know my other one uh i am short

8:11

about

8:12

nine million dollars uh wow

8:15

yeah i mean that's the way to do it yeah

8:18

yeah

8:18

i'm sure no no that i'm not short

8:20

anything right now

8:22

but understand this i am still way

8:25

longer than i am short on in the market

8:28

so like

8:29

my account is still down half a million

8:31

it's all this is is a hedge

8:33

to kind of it's kind of like having a

8:36

band-aid that's way too small

8:38

for your you know your wound it's it's

8:41

slowing the bleeding it's slowing it but

8:44

it's good because it's going to give me

8:47

more power

8:48

to do what i really want which is the

8:50

trade of the year coming up or top three

8:52

trade of the year

8:53

which is the vaccine trade that's coming

8:56

i don't want to talk about anymore we'll

8:57

touch on it later

8:58

let's talk crocs man let's talk right

9:00

now

9:02

and it really starts with with the uh

9:04

collab right crocs would have been

9:07

i think dead in the water had some other

9:10

brands not said hey let's uh put our

9:13

name on crocs i and i it started which

9:16

one did it start with was it uh

9:18

was it the uh what's his name lanciaga

9:22

that no that's been going on for a long

9:24

time

9:25

the the co-lab's been going on for a

9:27

long time i mean the balenciaga one was

9:29

huge

9:29

uh they've had high fashion collabs they

9:32

had uh

9:33

uh what's his name tattoo face

9:35

christopher kane that did the first one

9:36

that's that's the thumbnail for this uh

9:38

episode that was i think the first time

9:40

that a designer said i'm gonna take this

9:42

thing that

9:43

people are laughing at and make it an

9:46

exclusive

9:47

i think they sold those for 850 and they

9:50

immediately sold out

9:51

and that started i think the most genius

9:54

marketing plan that any company that had

9:56

a product that

9:57

you might think of as a joke make it

10:00

make it popular make it

10:02

scarce make it something that you aspire

10:04

to have

10:05

because you associated yourself with

10:07

other brands yeah i mean dave

10:09

you could only really have success with

10:12

that

10:12

strategy if you have something that's

10:15

iconic

10:16

right and so the thing about crocs that

10:18

no one realized

10:19

yes it was the most laughed about shoe

10:22

out there

10:23

but it was infamous for that

10:27

meaning that it was iconic enough that

10:30

it was

10:30

primed for this kind of you know

10:33

unexpected well you hate them you think

10:35

they're ugly well guess what they're so

10:37

ugly we're gonna make them cool

10:39

right and i think you know kudos to the

10:43

crocs management team

10:44

for seeing that they could turn a

10:46

negative into a positive

10:49

and going for it because you really

10:50

don't know if it's going to work until

10:52

you try right

10:53

and they kind of they had these what

10:54

they had like a gucci co-op

10:56

they had a collab with top designers top

10:58

celebrities

11:00

and now it's just like this train of

11:02

celebrity

11:03

and collab brands that all want to have

11:07

the cro because when you do a crox

11:08

collab you get

11:10

massive media right so it's not about

11:13

how many you sell

11:15

everybody wins because both crocs

11:18

and the colab partner both get a

11:21

massive amount of media exposure for

11:24

their collab

11:25

right and crox wins every single time

11:29

it's just one of these things you can't

11:31

buy it there's no amount of money that

11:33

you can throw like skechers

11:36

couldn't and by the way i think skechers

11:37

is doing really well right now

11:39

i'm actually their stock's not up this

11:40

summer but i think they

11:42

they're they're the next one i'm going

11:43

to kind of look at but

11:45

you can't they can't buy this you can't

11:47

throw

11:48

half a billion dollars and buy what

11:50

crocs is getting

11:51

with this true brand spectacle right

11:54

that continues itself

11:56

every couple months because every couple

11:58

months it's a new collab

11:59

and i think what's really important is

12:01

you have to read into the manage

12:02

management comments

12:04

so i took a look this week uh went a

12:07

deep dive into that last

12:09

quarterly earnings transcript which we

12:11

recommend

12:12

if you ever invest in a stock without

12:14

reading at least the most recent

12:16

and preferably the three most recent

12:19

earnings transcripts

12:20

you're flying blind guys you're flying

12:22

blind why you find blind

12:24

first you need to understand what the

12:25

marginal drivers of price are for that

12:27

company meaning

12:28

what are the things that wall street is

12:31

looking for

12:33

to basically move that company up or

12:35

down in terms of

12:36

interest and then what are they missing

12:39

right you have to know both of those

12:40

things to be a competent social arab

12:42

investor

12:43

so one thing that was fascinating guys

12:45

this with this earnings last earnings

12:47

call

12:48

is two things actually one

12:52

management seemed

12:55

almost excessively optimistic

12:59

about 2021 and

13:03

i was trying to read through the lines i

13:04

read through that transcript a couple

13:06

times

13:06

and i think it's almost it's almost not

13:10

normal the way that they spoke about

13:13

2021 in terms of confidence

13:16

and i think i believe that they have

13:21

monster epic collabs

13:25

planned for 2021 that

13:28

they just haven't talked about yet and

13:30

here's why 2020 as we know is a really

13:33

weird year

13:34

right but they've had a lot of times

13:36

celebrities have had a lot of time to

13:38

rethink

13:39

diversifying their revenue streams and

13:42

diversifying their media exposure right

13:45

because

13:46

normally celebrities get lots of media

13:48

exposure just by being in movies and tv

13:50

shows and projects and talk shows and

13:52

all that stuff but this year

13:53

like a lot of them aren't working and

13:55

they're all thinking creatively

13:57

and they see what's happened with crocs

14:00

now bieber got ahead of the list right

14:01

and he got his out this year

14:03

but i believe the same way that i said

14:06

nicola

14:07

was was the king of stock collabs and

14:10

there were going to be some big ones

14:11

coming and the mother of all collabs

14:13

came with gm

14:14

i think that crux has not just

14:18

one or two but has a handful

14:21

of triple a list super exciting i don't

14:25

know if they're

14:25

brand collabs with like monster big

14:28

fashion brands and

14:30

or super celebrity or maybe athlete

14:33

collabs

14:34

but i think 2021 just might be the year

14:38

that

14:38

crocs just goes nuts with branding

14:41

okay they're gonna take this spark this

14:43

year and they're gonna just light it on

14:45

fire okay

14:46

that's my gut instinct from kind of

14:49

ingesting

14:50

the conversational tone of the last

14:54

conference call

14:55

now on the negative side the one thing

14:58

that i think any crocs investor needs to

15:00

know and by the way we're not financial

15:01

advisors do not do what we do we're just

15:03

educating you on how we think how we

15:05

strategize what we're doing okay so do

15:06

your own research make your own decision

15:08

i don't know your risk tolerance i know

15:09

mine uh

15:13

they were very clear about the fact that

15:16

it's not about demand this year it's

15:17

about supply

15:18

they made a decision crocs management

15:20

made a decision

15:21

last quarter that they were going to be

15:23

ultra conservative until the end of the

15:25

year on

15:26

inventory meaning they did not want to

15:28

risk

15:29

not having enough not they'd not want to

15:31

risk

15:32

having too much inventory during a

15:34

pandemic and being stuck and being in a

15:36

really bad position which has happened

15:37

to crocs in the past and the bad days

15:39

right

15:40

so that's kind of a bit of a negative

15:42

guys because here they are blowing up

15:44

and they don't have the inventory they

15:46

need to take advantage of it so i'm

15:48

actually not expecting a gigantic

15:52

earnings announcement tomorrow i'm not

15:53

expecting like this crazy

15:55

big number tomorrow because they really

15:58

are capped and they even spoke about how

15:59

they're having divide their inventory

16:02

between wholesalers not to upset them

16:04

because they want to get their inventory

16:06

e-commerce where they make a ton of

16:07

money a ton of margin right

16:10

so they did say that they're gonna try

16:13

they could try to maybe get a little

16:15

more inventory towards the end of the

16:16

year and that could help next quarter

16:18

but i think this quarter is kind of

16:20

capped and i hope that with this big

16:23

position in crocs

16:24

that other investors know that and

16:26

they're not expecting something too big

16:28

because that could be a net negative on

16:30

earnings tomorrow but i don't care

16:32

guys because i really actually i really

16:35

believe in crocs

16:36

like for the next year i think the

16:39

market doesn't really understand what

16:41

this company can do

16:42

in terms of lighting the world on fire

16:44

and crox is one of those companies that

16:46

you've been kind of

16:46

in and out of over time so historically

16:49

you know you you

16:50

hear of a collab coming out and you get

16:52

in the justin bieber you're in

16:53

the uh posty post malone you're in and

16:57

then

16:58

it goes up and you get out but just

17:00

looking at that chart it's one of those

17:01

stocks that kind of

17:02

has uh miraculously recovered from the

17:06

lows there in march but even this longer

17:08

term that's a five-year chart

17:10

yeah they have these these kind of

17:12

cyclical downtrends

17:13

i'm not sure when this was that was a

17:16

2019 summer

17:17

and then this we obviously know what it

17:19

was but it's one of those stocks that

17:22

it just seems to be going in the right

17:24

direction because they

17:25

continue to have this momentum and every

17:27

time they have a collab

17:28

there's someone else in the wings

17:29

wanting to have one and the inventory

17:31

concern you have

17:32

to me almost creates the scarcity yeah

17:34

if you can't sell

17:35

more product that's gonna be a problem

17:37

but what what did they make

17:39

from the is there marketing dollars

17:41

associated with it like they're not

17:43

purely putting crocs uh you know with a

17:46

brand collab for

17:48

just for the fun of it right they're

17:50

they're getting paid by the

17:52

the co-lab right well i don't

17:55

know and i'll tell you this i don't

17:57

think it matters

17:58

if crocs make some money from the collab

18:00

or if they spend some money on the

18:02

collab

18:03

if it's a break-even thing it honestly

18:05

doesn't matter because

18:07

the volumes are so low all it's a

18:10

branding play guys it's just for

18:12

branding that's it that's it

18:14

okay and what was real the kind of

18:17

advertising you can't pay for

18:18

to have something go viral and

18:21

repeatedly go viral

18:22

they have a formula for virality and the

18:24

that's

18:25

just you can't buy that

18:28

you can't buy it um and also what was

18:31

really amazing this is what i love

18:33

last quarter crocs had a great earnings

18:37

great better than anticipated right

18:39

that's why the stock's been up

18:41

their sales were technically i think

18:42

down year over year but only by like

18:44

six percent they actually had higher

18:47

sales in

18:48

four out of five markets they were lower

18:50

i think

18:51

uh in in certain parts of uh

18:54

asia because of all the chaos that was

18:57

happening over there

18:58

but here's the thing guys their sales

19:01

were basically flat even in

19:05

up in the united states even though a

19:07

lot of their

19:08

stores most of their stores were shut

19:11

and remember

19:11

crocs has a lot of stores right they

19:14

have a lot of those kind of discount

19:15

stores and a lot of the retailers they

19:17

sell crocs at

19:18

were all shut down right so we've went

19:21

and visited one

19:22

in a mall here in texas uh

19:25

back when things were open and we we

19:27

were doing our uh

19:28

show where we ran around with cameras we

19:31

also visited one

19:32

in manhattan like i think that's their

19:33

flagship store and so

19:35

the fact that they're paying rent there

19:37

and they have these mall locations that

19:39

i can't imagine have much

19:40

foot traffic right now uh but they are a

19:43

direct to consumer brand

19:45

dave that that's what you're missing

19:48

they had

19:49

zero traffic last quarter like last

19:51

quarter

19:52

this quarter their stores opened up

19:55

okay now not a hundred percent of their

19:58

stores for the entire quarter

20:00

but this quarter they had their stores

20:01

and i know me and you aren't going to

20:03

the mall but dave

20:05

people went to the mall they did they

20:07

did they went to the mall

20:08

and like especially like you could see

20:10

people on twitter we've had it here

20:12

before

20:12

like at the mall you know some of the

20:14

only stores that were packed were like

20:16

lululemon crocs like they're like one of

20:19

the stores if you

20:21

do your work on twitter like there's

20:23

people posting pics of

20:24

lines at crocs it's crazy dude

20:28

so i think listen i'm not saying that

20:31

their brick and mortar sales this

20:33

quarter are going to be through the roof

20:35

but they don't have to now deal with

20:37

having a huge zero for brick and mortar

20:40

they can just have a steady state like a

20:41

normal corporate brick and mortar

20:43

and we know their e-commerce is through

20:46

the roof again this quarter

20:48

and one thing i'd love to pull up to can

20:49

we pull up a g trends

20:51

on uh i don't want to be on the word

20:53

crocs because

20:55

that's not gonna work and i'll tell you

20:57

why that looks really messy because of

21:00

the

21:00

free crocs that were given away back in

21:03

march and april

21:04

to health care workers they gave almost

21:06

a million pairs away

21:07

so that was just don't look at that but

21:08

if you look at crocs

21:10

amazon or crocs store right like

21:13

crocs space store is a good one because

21:17

what you'll find oh you spelled

21:19

c-r-o-c-s

21:21

yeah yeah

21:24

dot the stock so

21:28

what's oh and you won't see uh just pull

21:32

yeah there you go and here's so if you

21:35

pull five year

21:37

this is really interesting about this

21:39

and i don't know if you can you can tell

21:40

this more from croc store than crocs

21:43

amazon because it's more of a sudden

21:44

movement

21:45

but crocs drops every

21:49

single like september and october

21:52

is their low point okay so every

21:55

september and october they

21:57

they drop they go up in the summer and

22:00

sometimes they get a bump in december

22:02

okay but they're always up in like may

22:05

april may

22:06

june right that's when they pop june

22:07

june is the peak right dave on every one

22:09

of those peaks

22:10

i think and then this is uh december

22:13

holiday that's that's kind of an

22:15

all-time high and here uh

22:16

in uh 2018 as well that's august so

22:19

summer

22:20

and december that's it so now look at

22:23

2020 we look at 2020 on that chart

22:26

what you'll see is that it completely

22:29

fell apart

22:30

back earlier in the summer because you

22:32

couldn't go to a croc store

22:34

so people that were buying crocs were

22:35

just buying them online

22:37

but after the stores open back up

22:40

look at that the last 90 days from from

22:43

june

22:43

28th until pretty much today they have a

22:47

sustained spike sustained spike

22:50

during their low season guys sustained

22:54

spike when they should be

22:58

at their low okay that that is

23:01

a really interesting chart for crux

23:05

now i'm looking on another screen that

23:07

you can't see i'm looking at

23:09

web traffic okay for the same three

23:11

months

23:12

and we had a huge jump in web traffic in

23:14

april but that's because of the

23:16

healthcare workers so i'm going to just

23:18

discount that

23:19

what's interesting is after that was

23:21

over july

23:23

august and september the web traffic is

23:28

up about

23:31

70 percent from last year okay so

23:35

massive increase in web traffic the last

23:37

90 days from last year so

23:39

i really really like

23:42

the data on crocs this quarter but what

23:45

i like even more

23:48

is that i think the company is going to

23:50

come out and say hey

23:51

we're basically going to sell everything

23:53

we have to the end of the year

23:55

the dark winter okay and that's

23:57

something that you might get worried

23:58

about

23:59

but i think they're going to come out

24:00

again and say we re-emphasize that 2021

24:03

is gonna be

24:04

fire why is it fire because

24:07

the retailers the wholesale purchasers

24:11

of crocs

24:13

i think have seen what happened this

24:15

they saw what happened right

24:16

all this stuff is not selling but crocs

24:18

are selling

24:20

the orders to buy crocs for next year

24:24

is go it will be through the roof right

24:26

so like they're just gonna have a

24:27

i think they're gonna have a magical

24:29

2021 and i just want to have a really

24:31

nice

24:32

based position in crocs because i don't

24:34

think wall street

24:35

really appreciates what's happening at

24:37

this company

24:38

and what will continue to be more

24:42

and more collabs more brand power

24:45

but can i just say something about crocs

24:47

whether you wear them or not

24:48

can we all admit that crocs is a bright

24:52

happy brand that at the end of the day

24:55

even as we start to try to come out of

24:57

this early next year

24:58

get some crocs man just get some if

25:00

you're like there's celebs wearing crocs

25:03

they're they're they're reasonably

25:04

priced uh they're bright they're fun

25:07

by the way what a job they're doing with

25:09

those gibbets you know the little things

25:10

you play oh yeah

25:12

we've had people getting dumb money

25:14

gibbets made and i couldn't find a

25:15

supplier that would drop ship them but

25:17

that i mean everybody wants them dude we

25:21

got it

25:21

we got it by the way i love this shirt

25:23

day that you had you had design it's

25:25

awesome i just got got all my dum money

25:26

shirts

25:27

uh so gibbetts it's an interesting story

25:30

because i think

25:31

gibbets were made by a mom at home

25:35

for her daughter and then they started

25:37

selling them to her daughter's friends

25:39

and they were literally attaching them

25:41

to the crocs and

25:43

crocs came along and said this is genius

25:46

right and if my memory serves me right

25:50

they bought the idea from this mom for

25:53

10 million dollars

25:55

right and now these gibbets are becoming

25:58

a mega trend

25:59

and so if they're in their concept

26:01

stores i think they call them like

26:03

energy stores

26:04

they're putting gibbets front and center

26:07

all right so like they're starting to

26:09

sell a ton

26:10

of these things that cost next to

26:12

nothing to make

26:13

and in the same way that kids go to

26:15

build a bear they're going to crocs

26:18

when they after they have their i mean

26:19

could you imagine jordan i mean you know

26:21

what from a kid's standpoint right

26:22

imagine your kid your girls they have

26:24

crocs and you go to the mall and like

26:26

let's go to the croc store

26:28

so i can buy new gibbets for micro is

26:30

that the most genius thing you've ever

26:31

ever seen in a shoe oh yeah oh yeah you

26:34

just flare them up

26:35

just flare it right by the way this

26:37

picture has a bunch of

26:38

gibbets in it but this is their sold out

26:40

page from

26:41

yesterday fridays uh was national crocs

26:45

day which

26:46

is a made-up holiday that i'm pretty

26:48

sure any company can just say that

26:49

today's their day but

26:51

they have apparently been doing this for

26:52

years and uh yeah they uh

26:55

they sold out of the exclusive ones that

26:57

they made for their own

26:59

fake holiday oh my gosh

27:02

i'm just on right now luke combs just

27:05

announced

27:06

the luke combs crocs is back this time i

27:09

got to send you this tweet dave

27:10

with fur he has a furry oh dude

27:14

i'm going to send it to you right now

27:15

maybe you can put this on i don't know

27:17

let me see

27:17

who is this person uh luke combs the

27:20

country guy

27:22

text me not an image if you can see like

27:25

i sent you the tweet just now perfect

27:28

this literally just broke an hour ago

27:31

from his twitter account

27:34

and wow dude

27:38

and he's got his own gibbets line with

27:39

guitars dude this is so great

27:42

see i love this man i love it i love it

27:44

i love oh people are

27:46

flipping out so the first time that luke

27:48

homes did his crocs collab

27:50

huge sellout huge huge sellout

27:54

and now he's got this

27:57

unreal and by the way the furry crocs

27:59

we've talked about this oh i gotta send

28:01

you this one too dave

28:02

so nicole cloven's crocs collab doubles

28:05

as a survival kit

28:07

i don't even know who this is but i

28:09

think this is someone

28:11

who is like a mountain climber or

28:14

survivalist i don't know who's

28:16

nicole clovin let's see i don't even

28:19

know who she is

28:20

she's some kind of i just sent you hers

28:23

dave all right here we go you gotta

28:24

check it out

28:25

she has a collab check out this collab

28:27

it has survival equipment

28:30

that comes with the crocs it's like a

28:32

winter

28:33

mountain climbing crocs collab

28:36

check that out dude

28:38

[Laughter]

28:41

now wait what am i looking at here oh my

28:43

gosh

28:44

it's a it has a rope to uh i don't know

28:47

bungee around it has things hanging off

28:49

of it it has like um

28:51

it's got a shock thing

28:55

dude carabiner hanging off the back

28:58

in a compass a compass

29:02

dude this is what i'm talking about this

29:05

is ridiculous

29:06

i don't understand people that don't

29:08

understand crocs

29:10

because i mean

29:13

i don't wear them but i understand it

29:16

it's 2020 and these people are marketing

29:21

geniuses they're marketing take my

29:24

money take my money no i don't want to

29:27

buy crocs

29:28

i want to give my money to the crocs

29:31

marketing team

29:32

because you people are geniuses you're

29:35

actual geniuses like i love you so much

29:39

like mind blown these black utility

29:42

crocs actually look cool if you get rid

29:44

of the rope on the front which is kind

29:45

of just to get

29:46

those actually kind of look cool in

29:48

black i don't know about

29:49

i know truck bag stock is a lot i mean

29:52

that's

29:52

that's a lot dude

29:56

um you've seen you seen the bieber ones

29:58

man

30:00

hold on let me see if i can uh let me

30:03

see if i can pull them for you

30:05

dude you just i i i love this stuff

30:09

so much because this is exactly

30:13

what you need to be doing in 2020

30:16

man it's exactly bieber

30:20

bieber crocs they're pretty simple

30:24

compare comparatively right pretty sure

30:28

pretty simple um anyway

30:32

crocs i love you i

30:37

crux is not a company that i was in

30:38

before i bought 3 000 shares this

30:40

morning just

30:41

nice oh you bought you bought this

30:42

morning i bought some this morning

30:44

as as the market was down i'm like today

30:47

seems like a good day to buy something

30:48

crosstalk today would be a good day to

30:51

buy if i buy

30:53

maybe i'll buy some i don't know

30:55

[Laughter]

30:57

i don't know so somebody mentioned um

30:59

hold on hold on so we've got a we've got

31:01

a uh

31:01

comment stephen winkle johann

31:05

i've butchered that name so sorry please

31:07

comment on the fact that your hypothesis

31:09

is not supported by the drop from 16.5

31:12

million web visitors in april

31:14

uh on the website down to five million

31:17

now and it's stagnating around

31:18

five perfect question you see the

31:20

question okay guys

31:21

guys let me explain that in april

31:24

those were not customers of crocs

31:28

the the april was literally like

31:31

a 6x increase from normal because

31:34

crocs had a campaign where any

31:36

healthcare worker

31:38

literally any healthcare worker can get

31:40

a free

31:41

pair of crocs so the it was like the

31:44

greatest marketing campaign ever

31:46

so the crocs website was essentially

31:50

just went nuts with every healthcare

31:52

worker

31:53

i think i don't know if it was global or

31:55

just here in north america

31:58

going to the croc site every day to try

32:00

to get their free crops and they would

32:01

literally go in every day try

32:03

because it wasn't like it would open and

32:04

close open and close and their website

32:07

they did it globally and they gave out

32:09

860 000 pairs of

32:11

shoes globally to healthcare workloads

32:13

get the

32:15

big healthcare workers shoe because

32:17

they're comfortable

32:18

you know you can get them on and off

32:19

you're on your feet all day so you get

32:21

that cushy but like the holes in the top

32:23

when you worry about like fluids

32:26

dropping out or anything like that

32:30

because you could wash them and it's

32:32

like it's your feet so they're not

32:33

really worried about their feet because

32:35

they got to wash your feet and wash your

32:36

shoes anyway

32:37

and crocs you just dip them in alcohol i

32:40

guess

32:40

or whatever the solution is they're just

32:43

them yeah so so guys that you can't look

32:46

at april and may

32:47

because april and may had no that's why

32:50

i was the first thing i told you was

32:52

april and may you got to scratch those

32:54

months off because it wasn't

32:56

real traffic it was and by the way what

32:58

a genius campaign

32:59

you now have a million imagine having

33:03

almost a million health care workers

33:05

that are loyal to your brand

33:07

that are literally like for the next

33:08

five years are probably going to buy

33:11

a bunch more crocs why guess what they

33:13

have when they give you a free pair

33:15

they have your email address you're on

33:17

the right you're like

33:18

and you feel loyal don't you feel loyal

33:20

cause that's like a nice thing to do

33:21

yes every time they do like some

33:23

healthcare worker specific thing they're

33:25

like hey

33:26

check out this new uh well need to think

33:29

about it for people who had no

33:30

you know if you're in healthcare and you

33:32

had not yet tried crocs as a go-to

33:34

shoe for running around the hospital

33:36

that's what better way to get a free

33:38

trial out of

33:39

a bunch of people who can then rave to

33:41

their friends about yeah crocs gave

33:43

these to me they're a cool brand

33:44

and these things are amazing to run

33:47

around and and

33:48

you know save lives by the way what a

33:51

is there a better who doesn't like

33:54

health care workers it's like who

33:56

doesn't like health care workers and

33:57

teachers

33:58

i will tell you right now my two

34:01

favorite worlds of tick tock

34:03

is health care nurse tick tock and

34:06

teacher tick tock why

34:07

oh that kind of garden teacher tick tock

34:10

that

34:11

blew up and was on the today show i love

34:13

it so

34:14

amazing you know why it's happy it is so

34:18

happy it's like nothing but positivity

34:21

when you see a health care worker

34:23

dancing on tick tock

34:24

or a a elementary school teacher

34:28

i'm like it's like that is that is life

34:30

at its best right there

34:32

so like to have a million health care

34:34

workers wearing crocs talking about how

34:36

they got them for free and blah blah

34:37

blah what a great company crocs is

34:39

you know a health care worker something

34:41

about them they see a lot of people

34:43

right a lot of people are constantly

34:45

seeing health care workers all the time

34:47

because you're coming

34:48

and going coming and going in and out of

34:49

the hospital the doctor's office right

34:51

and and you see them you're like they're

34:55

people that i think to some extent

34:57

you kind of in many ways look up to

34:59

because they're doing especially this

35:00

year in 2020

35:02

and i just think everything they're

35:03

doing at crocs is genius and i just

35:06

i don't feel that wall street fully

35:08

understands

35:09

the implications for what this does to a

35:12

brand

35:13

okay and how that plays out especially

35:16

with the cultural mindset we have in

35:18

2020

35:20

of brands that are looked at in a good

35:22

way

35:23

okay and i think crocs has somehow

35:26

turned an ugly shoe into a

35:29

fun cool respected

35:32

successful brand okay and yeah i mean

35:36

it's people say the stock's trading up

35:38

yeah it is but you know what

35:39

i don't see this ending in the next 12

35:41

months i see it continuing

35:44

during the pandemic post pandemic all

35:47

the above and it's just

35:48

i really want to do this episode because

35:51

i believe in

35:52

i just this is one of my you know larger

35:55

picks it's not a high conviction trade

35:57

because it's really hard to tell you

35:59

know how the market is perceiving

36:01

crocs it's not like there's this massive

36:03

amount of undisclosed information that

36:05

nobody knows about at all

36:07

it's more oh there you go dave

36:09

[Laughter]

36:10

it's it's more about this is amazing

36:14

right

36:14

i i mean i could just watch this all day

36:18

i'm addicted to tick-tock if that

36:20

doesn't make you smile something's wrong

36:21

with you

36:22

uh okay so here's the thing it's a

36:25

medium conviction trade for me

36:26

medium conviction uh not high conviction

36:30

but i still it was worth putting 1.5

36:33

million dollars into this company in

36:34

fact i didn't put 1.5 million it grew to

36:36

1.5 i think i was in it like 1.3

36:39

1.4 but now now it's up to 1.5

36:42

and i'm going to keep it there i don't

36:44

care what happens tomorrow i'm going to

36:45

keep it there

36:46

okay oh and i just put in

36:50

can you put my favorite crop stick

36:52

though can you put up the one i texted

36:54

you

36:54

oh what the first one yeah let me see if

36:56

i can uh it's just i

36:57

i love this because i think people don't

37:00

realize that crocs is also doing an

37:02

amazing

37:03

job like transitioning

37:06

to an all-year brand not just a spring

37:09

and summer brand

37:11

the furry crocs the fuzzy crocs whatever

37:13

you want to call them

37:15

like they've been invited we should pull

37:17

up that g trend chart too after this for

37:19

furry

37:19

crocs the picture you slipped me is a

37:22

furry croc

37:23

actually wrong window that's not it hang

37:26

on

37:26

hang on too many buttons here they make

37:29

this really difficult

37:31

let's see if i put it in this window

37:33

will it work here we go

37:35

and now the furry croc oh

37:38

come on how did that make you not go out

37:41

and buy some furry

37:42

furry crocs for the winter um so

37:46

people love these furry crocs man if you

37:48

pull up a g trend day for furry crocs

37:50

you will see i think you could they're

37:53

like lined crocs or furry crocs you can

37:55

either one i think furry crocs will cut

37:57

will work

37:58

uh you'll see that they've been ticking

37:59

up the last couple of years

38:01

and i think we'll probably have cetera i

38:04

think

38:05

october data is setting a record i think

38:07

the last time i checked for furry crocs

38:09

on g trends here's a five year on

38:14

did i spell furry right let's see on

38:19

if you are right yeah

38:24

yeah one r is fury yeah so so look at

38:27

that

38:29

wait yeah furry crocs that's it so last

38:32

year

38:33

furry crocs were on fire they almost

38:35

doubled where they were the year prior

38:38

and what's really interesting guys even

38:40

a bigger indicator

38:43

right now look at where we are right now

38:44

look at where we are right now

38:46

that's for october 4th to 10th

38:49

if you go back right there that's

38:52

they don't even begin to spike until

38:55

octo like late like october 13th is

38:57

where that first spike is normally

38:59

so we should right about now and

39:02

hopefully they're coming down a little

39:03

bit but you can't tell cause the end of

39:05

the graph

39:06

usually um isn't quite uh

39:09

it usually takes about a week to catch

39:11

up to itself

39:12

i'm going to be watching furry crocs and

39:15

also i think they call them

39:16

lined crocs now they kind of they kind

39:19

of change

39:20

the terminology in the store yeah pull

39:22

up line

39:23

that's better dave actually if you pull

39:25

up lined crocs

39:26

and get rid of the other two charts we

39:28

can see it more uh

39:30

we can see it more clearly very similar

39:32

though

39:34

let's take a look yeah so line crocs is

39:36

great

39:37

now just you know that chart for line

39:39

crocs

39:41

spikes in november the end of november

39:43

november 24th

39:45

look at where we are october 11th

39:48

at october 11th last year show them

39:50

where we were october 11th last year

39:52

dave

39:52

we were right there look at that that is

39:55

insane

39:56

look at the lift look at the lift

39:58

october to october

40:00

you're looking at is that would you say

40:02

2 200

40:04

2.5 x dave probably a 2.5 x oh for sure

40:07

yeah it's it's uh between 25 and 50 here

40:09

and it's

40:10

uh between 50 and 75 here it's

40:12

absolutely incredible

40:14

now what would be great same time period

40:17

it's down here

40:18

25 so there is a little spike it happens

40:20

every year but it's been getting bigger

40:22

and bigger

40:23

if we stay there until december

40:26

we will be looking at a 60-day sustained

40:30

spike

40:31

for for for line crocs 60-day sustained

40:35

spike

40:36

when we normally have max

40:39

third max 30 days okay that's a big big

40:43

deal guys

40:44

and and i hope i really hope that crocs

40:47

is manufacturing enough of these and if

40:49

not

40:49

that they've kind of placed some

40:50

additional orders unfortunately

40:53

management has said that they cannot air

40:56

freight crocs it just doesn't work

40:58

at the price point for crocs it's a

41:00

little disappointing i was like why

41:02

doesn't it work because they cost like

41:04

50 bucks

41:05

and they can't cost you that much to

41:06

make i would and they're pretty light

41:08

right like what just air freedom air

41:10

freight more the volume they're they're

41:12

large yeah um what do they

41:16

just make them in the in the region

41:18

where they're selling them

41:20

is that what they do uh no they i mean

41:24

they

41:24

they ship them over on on ships

41:26

basically they're they're launched

41:28

crockett in the comments croco what are

41:30

you talking about i said that's all

41:31

great

41:32

but try and order a pair shopping cart

41:35

drops

41:36

are enormous i don't know what you're

41:37

saying i don't know what that means i

41:39

was gonna go try to order up here and

41:40

see if i could figure out what he's

41:41

talking about right building the crops

41:42

in the sneaker community

41:43

yeah i mean we're gonna start getting

41:45

like by the way

41:46

this is going to turn into a collectible

41:48

shoe too now i'm starting to see some

41:50

crocs on

41:51

stockx and dude once that happens watch

41:54

out man

41:54

watch out in terms of brand height

42:00

uh you have to say crocs 100x during the

42:02

show you're bound to slip

42:03

[Laughter]

42:06

study oh man

42:09

tj we're just talking about it's no

42:11

longer a seasonal shoe

42:12

like furry crocs lying crocs um they got

42:15

crocs for everybody man

42:17

can you know what you know slime crocs

42:19

bad bunny crocs

42:21

what do you think dave someday chinatown

42:24

market rocks

42:25

kfc crocs do you think we'll ever have a

42:27

dumb money crocs how great would that be

42:29

can we send this epis

42:31

can we send this episode to chris i want

42:34

to cut up

42:35

a really tight version of this episode

42:38

caught up just of us saying hey please

42:40

make us some dumb money crocs we know

42:42

that people would buy them

42:44

we had done our livestream right now

42:48

dumb money collab green crocs right

42:52

oh that'd be cool dumb money we got to

42:55

make that happen

42:56

which one should i buy i think you

42:59

should hold off for the dumb

43:00

uh dumb money crocs i'm leaving so many

43:03

these

43:03

what i need those i'm sure they're sold

43:07

out oh yep sold out

43:09

luke comb crocs are sold out the ones we

43:11

just featured i guess

43:13

so ready i mean they were sold out like

43:16

all of these are sold out okay here's

43:18

one that's not

43:19

but i can't wear that yeah i'm not

43:20

seeing a problem like checking out or

43:22

using the website or anything i

43:23

i still don't know what uh probably

43:26

because of the luke combs deal right now

43:27

they're just

43:28

no i'm saying i'm not having a problem

43:30

at all like it seems perfectly fine

43:32

yeah like if i wanted to order some camo

43:34

crocs which is probably all i would buy

43:36

would be

43:37

i could just do it right now 49 or 4.99

43:40

it could be mine

43:41

i mean they got crocs for everybody dude

43:45

oh crocodiles they just want to point

43:47

out money crocs that's it

43:48

i want some dumb money crocs

43:52

all right so guys uh we'll have to go

43:54

back

43:56

i mean what do you guys think you're in

43:58

dave right i mean jordan what are you

43:59

doing

44:02

you i want to hear what i mean i know

44:04

this is kind of a crazy trait they're up

44:06

a lot so

44:06

from a conservative standpoint which is

44:09

more you like

44:10

what are your thoughts who me yeah did

44:13

you say me oh yeah i mean i think it's

44:15

fine i think they're

44:16

look i think their stocks up quite a bit

44:19

um i don't know how far

44:20

it's got to run i think uh you know

44:24

i think it's i think it's a i think it's

44:25

a good idea for a trade um i'll probably

44:28

buy

44:29

maybe a thousand to two thousand shares

44:31

all right

44:32

i'm not gonna i'm not gonna go nuts over

44:33

it i'm not gonna spend a million dollars

44:35

on it

44:36

that that that is popping right now i'm

44:38

i'm thinking that these

44:39

without the holes in it and with the fur

44:41

those look kind of cool

44:44

you know what i want here buy the ones

44:45

with the fur

44:47

i mean does that look like something i

44:48

would wear

44:50

yeah but it it does actually but i want

44:52

i don't like

44:53

the synthetic i don't like synthetic

44:56

material like i

44:57

want actual lambswool crocks if they

45:00

made

45:01

if they made a higher end crocs like a

45:04

lamb's wool cr i'd be so because it

45:06

breathes better i just don't like the

45:08

way

45:08

the synthetic stuff

45:11

is not able to breathe and your feet get

45:13

all sweaty like that's why i love

45:15

bugs that's why i've got these house

45:17

slippers on right now

45:18

and they i wear them every day in the

45:20

winter i've got three pair i love them

45:22

are those synthetic no these are the

45:24

uggs these are the ugg

45:25

uh like the real real bit by the way i

45:28

love

45:28

uggs but man that ugg story is like dude

45:30

deck you see deck stock man

45:32

i mean everyone knows they're killing it

45:34

they're just slaughtering it

45:36

so it's really hard to figure out where

45:38

to how to arb that thing i think

45:40

uggs is going to have a just a killer

45:42

winner um but i i don't know is this

45:46

no it's it's through the roof because

45:49

they kind of

45:50

are more transparent about how well

45:52

they're doing

45:53

and i think the investment community is

45:55

more on to the

45:56

decker decker story uh the ugg story

46:00

uh i you know i that used to be my

46:01

favorite stock to trade like that was

46:03

my like maybe my go-to number one stock

46:05

to trade do you earn any deckers right

46:07

now

46:08

not right now i haven't owned them in at

46:10

least a year

46:11

uh only because it just got harder to

46:13

orb

46:14

uh that stock but i used to love it

46:17

every winter i would

46:18

i would remember i would watch the

46:20

weather i would get like usually get a

46:22

two week jump on wall street

46:24

just weather trading deck uh and it's

46:26

just harder to do right now

46:28

they're they're coming into the winter

46:29

way too strong and i don't think there's

46:31

any ability to arbit we'll see i'm gonna

46:33

stick with crosstalk i am looking

46:35

at uh i am looking at

46:39

uh uh skechers though right now we'll

46:42

talk about that in another day

46:44

patrick says their version of dude's

46:46

loafer is pretty good

46:48

patrick you can't do better than dude

46:49

identical two dudes

46:51

yeah they wait a second that is dudes

46:53

they stole dudes

46:54

no that's pretty much the exact look

46:56

though with the freighters they have

46:58

everything

46:59

i know they stole it that that's what i

47:00

think that is ugly

47:02

man what tom's is so good why would you

47:05

try to do something ugly

47:06

jordan they have a hundred different

47:08

versions of dudes you don't have to buy

47:10

that just get the toms dude you just get

47:11

the toms

47:14

i i dudes are better they're better i

47:17

love toms but dudes are better

47:19

anyway uh so that's it that's it

47:22

that's what that's our crosstalk hey

47:24

dudes when you when you google it that's

47:26

what you have to look for

47:27

um can we just end this session by

47:31

saying

47:31

crocs are hot but getting hotter i think

47:34

they're gonna get nothing but hotter

47:35

over the next year and if i didn't

47:37

believe that

47:38

i wouldn't be in crocs right now so

47:39

that's my thesis

47:41

if the thesis starts to fall apart i'm

47:44

out i'm out of here

47:44

i believe it too i mean i mean yeah i

47:47

think it's a good one i'm probably gonna

47:48

buy

47:48

maybe one somewhere around where dave

47:50

bought maybe two to three thousand

47:52

shares

47:53

i mean if you just think about a

47:54

stay-at-home shoe

47:57

if you need a shoe see well healthcare

47:59

like anybody that's out working on their

48:00

feet right now i mean that's a it's a

48:02

perfect shoe for them

48:04

all right so i'll stick with my thirty

48:06

thousand shares of crocs

48:08

hopefully for the next year so just know

48:10

what you're just dipping our toe in the

48:11

croc

48:12

you are typically joe i got my foot

48:15

way in way i'm wearing the crocs boots

48:19

okay the analysis

48:20

is so bad i hope to have this be a

48:22

long-term capital game for me that i'm

48:25

selling maybe

48:26

next october okay

48:29

anyway so hot they're melting where she

48:31

goes that's right so hot they're melting

48:33

so that that's the crocs rate okay

48:34

vaccines

48:35

vaccine oh vista two good stuff um guys

48:39

i did spend a lot of time on ammo this

48:43

weekend

48:43

okay i want to make you know i got so

48:45

much money invested in ammo stocks that

48:48

i wanted to make sure i wasn't missing

48:49

anything

48:50

and after doing a lot of research i

48:53

walked away

48:54

realizing i'm not missing anything man

48:57

i'm sticking with all my ammo trades

48:59

dude

49:00

i mean i'm sticking with them i think

49:02

that these ammo trades are going to do

49:04

really well through the election that i

49:06

still believe is likely to be a biden

49:08

election probably more today than i did

49:09

49:10

um i'm not selling my vista i'm not

49:13

selling my

49:14

clarisse or wherever that other one is

49:15

i'm not selling

49:17

the third one i don't even remember some

49:19

of these i'm more in vista outdoors than

49:21

anything else

49:22

uh but guys i just absolutely love this

49:26

ammo trade

49:27

i have did so much social media research

49:30

and you can't buy ammo anywhere the ammo

49:33

gets re it's constantly getting

49:34

restocked

49:35

constantly getting sold out um it's a

49:38

combination of people that want it for

49:40

self-defense they want it for hunting

49:42

hunting is on fire right now

49:44

uh just everything people are going to

49:47

be concerned that they're going to take

49:48

away guns when biden potentially gets

49:50

elected

49:51

that's going to fuel the trade even more

49:53

we also have the ability of political

49:55

instability coming up we should probably

49:57

do a standalone episode

49:59

uh later this week on you know we did

50:01

what these are the stops i'm gonna buy

50:03

trump wins these stocks gonna buy biden

50:04

wins

50:05

you know the one we need to do next

50:06

right what if we don't know who wins

50:09

yeah that's the trade when we don't know

50:11

who the president is

50:13

you know the funny thing about this so

50:14

my uh my little girls were asking about

50:17

the election because adrian went and

50:19

voted

50:20

she got back abigail's like who won and

50:23

adrian's like well we won't know for a

50:26

little while and we might not even know

50:28

on election day so she's already getting

50:29

our kids prepared

50:31

for a contested election yeah i

50:34

i think well you know i saw something

50:38

so even let's say biden wins unless it's

50:41

such unless it's like the mega landslide

50:44

of all landslides

50:46

i don't necessarily see trump the next

50:48

day

50:49

being like hey you know we're going to

50:51

set for a really smooth transition

50:53

congratulations like i just don't see

50:55

that happening

50:57

so i don't know how this all unfolds but

51:00

i think

51:01

that as an investor you have to have a

51:03

plan for it and that's

51:05

i finally came to that realization this

51:06

week we have

51:08

listen we're social arm investors we

51:10

right we run scenarios

51:12

and then we know what we're going to do

51:14

when each one

51:15

based on which scenario starts to play

51:17

out we know exactly what we're planning

51:19

on doing

51:20

and i just realized that i don't have

51:22

like a well-thought-out scenario

51:25

for this is gonna be

51:28

a full month of figuring out who won the

51:30

election because i think they have a

51:31

full month almost

51:33

over a month uh to basically make that

51:35

decision the parties

51:37

and so did you guys know that there's

51:39

not even like

51:40

firm laws in the constitution that

51:43

really dictate

51:44

how this all works so everything is open

51:47

to interpretation

51:48

and a about

51:51

how it could go down um it's

51:54

it's yeah it's really concerning right

51:56

because i mean it can be played out for

51:57

a while

51:58

the only reason that we've got that

52:00

peaceful transfer of power is because

52:01

that's what

52:02

has happened every single time so far

52:04

but it got i mean it got

52:05

it got pretty hairy with uh you know

52:07

with the bush

52:08

and um gore that one year right when

52:10

they uh if you look at the way back

52:12

to florida did you read the atlantic

52:14

article i think that was the one that

52:16

you said it to me dave that's where i

52:17

found it yeah yeah it was

52:19

it was a really good uh an interesting

52:22

look at history

52:23

where there was this non-peaceful

52:26

transfer that

52:27

worked out we're still here but um that

52:29

was

52:30

that was that was a good article so

52:32

we'll we'll have to do a whole episode

52:34

on what to trade

52:35

if we don't know who the president will

52:37

be so we know tomorrow is pokemon

52:40

you know box day maybe wednesday we can

52:42

do the uh

52:43

what to do if the if we don't know the

52:45

president because thursday we have

52:47

earnings bonanza right that's all about

52:50

facebook and

52:51

uh amazon and

52:55

maybe some others twitter it seems like

52:57

everywhere there's a lot there's a lot

52:59

but what i think is probably more

53:01

interesting than any of that

53:03

again going back to last week's episode

53:05

which if you haven't seen it go

53:07

watch our vaccine episode are the

53:10

rebound trades on uh vax positive

53:13

vaccine news we're not trading vaccine

53:15

manufacturers

53:16

because it's unknown how much money of

53:18

anything they'll actually make off these

53:20

vaccines

53:21

and we don't know which one's going to

53:22

ultimately win but it looks like

53:25

uh pfizer might be releasing

53:28

some data maybe in the next week or two

53:31

uh and they're in a they have a vaccine

53:33

collaboration with another vaccine cup

53:36

company excuse me so i think

53:39

that all the stocks that i want to buy

53:43

from that vaccine episode are all

53:44

getting crushed today

53:46

and there's a chance that this is a

53:48

really weird scenario it's almost like

53:49

the

53:50

it's like like the perfect storm

53:52

scenario where

53:54

we are having the worst thing that could

53:56

ever happen for travel

53:57

and leisure and all that stuff right

53:59

right now with the virus getting

54:01

spinning out of control yet at some

54:03

point

54:04

in the next few weeks there will be an

54:06

announcement

54:08

on that i believe will be a positive

54:10

announcement on vaccine news

54:12

and you could see the biggest knee-jerk

54:15

reaction in these stocks so you have to

54:17

time this perfectly right

54:19

like their stocks are getting crushed

54:21

crushed crushed you could see them

54:23

whiplash so hard and so

54:26

fast that if you could time this right

54:29

oh man it's like the mother of all

54:31

trades

54:32

like and like you've got to be thinking

54:33

about it 24 hours a day at this point

54:35

i'm

54:35

i can't i didn't sleep last night i was

54:37

just that's all i was thinking about is

54:38

how am i gonna time this thing

54:40

how what am i looking for um i couldn't

54:42

i got to a point guys last night i was

54:44

up at 3 a.m

54:45

and i actually could no longer see my

54:47

ipad screen my eyes were so blurry

54:50

reading vaccine thesis on these vaccines

54:53

when they're going to be announced like

54:55

probabilities of how it's all going to

54:56

go down

54:57

chris we might need to have an

54:59

intervention with you because this is

55:01

not healthy this is

55:02

not sustainable

55:06

um well okay so what are you gonna do

55:08

what is the conclusion from your 3m

55:10

just we don't need to tease it for

55:12

something that happens later just tell

55:14

us what what

55:15

i think that we're going to get good

55:17

news on vaccine and i think it's going

55:19

to happen within three weeks

55:21

i really do i think it could happen this

55:23

next week but it could happen the week

55:25

after or the week after that

55:27

and i think when it happens that's the

55:29

news we're waiting on i think that's

55:31

going

55:32

it's going to happen i think right

55:33

around the worst point for all this

55:35

stuff

55:36

and you have to be you have to invest

55:39

before it happens right so like

55:41

not you me i have to invest before it

55:44

happened

55:44

because i want to catch it so i'm

55:47

looking at

55:48

various derivatives options on a few of

55:50

these trades

55:51

that quite honestly i'm short these

55:53

trades right now so i'm looking to flip

55:55

hard on these trades and i got to figure

55:58

out when to pull the trigger

56:00

that's it that's it i gotta figure it

56:01

out and you know

56:03

the administration is pushing so hard

56:06

to have this news come out prior to

56:07

november 3rd do you think

56:09

what do you think do you think do you

56:11

think they'll potentially release it

56:13

prior to the election

56:14

just the data i don't think that

56:17

i don't think that the government can

56:20

really influence that i mean they i mean

56:21

they can try

56:22

right but i mean if well jordan how

56:25

about this

56:26

i mean what if here's here's the stuff

56:29

that's been submitted to

56:30

us how about this what if the

56:33

administration

56:35

what if president trump himself or

56:37

someone that's close with him

56:39

once the data is known internally

56:41

because there's a small group that isn't

56:43

going to be able to unfold the data

56:45

right

56:46

what if he has someone in his

56:47

administration or the fda

56:49

he goes in and finds out what's

56:51

happening and leaks it himself do you

56:52

think that's possible

56:53

treats it he doesn't i mean as soon as

56:56

he knows we're

56:57

highly unethical right

57:01

well highly unethical what's the

57:03

benchmark for that right

57:06

like i mean i feel like the fda should

57:08

be some sort of organization that

57:10

you know anybody that's can they say

57:16

can they say no i i don't know can i

57:20

i don't think so don't you think

57:24

that when he spoke during the i think it

57:26

was i don't know whether it was during

57:27

the debate

57:28

or or right around that time don't you

57:30

think the way he was talking about the

57:32

vaccine news coming out that we're gonna

57:34

have in a couple weeks

57:35

he knew something didn't that didn't you

57:37

feel it didn't you feel that

57:39

he had he was just kind of like holding

57:40

back but he knew something reading

57:42

between the lines i just can't read into

57:44

too much that he says i feel like you

57:46

know he's an off-the-cuff

57:47

just saying he's talking about

57:51

believes something and believes it to

57:53

the point where he thinks it's fact in

57:54

his head

57:57

it's worth but it's what dave it's worth

58:00

thinking about

58:01

sell-off day for companies like live

58:03

nation six flags sea world amc all the

58:05

ones that we were talking about the

58:06

other day these these kind of

58:08

entertainment stocks they're all down

58:10

between five and ten percent right now

58:12

today i know and i love that i love that

58:16

because like those are the stocks i want

58:17

to buy

58:18

and i'm not like honestly i'm not

58:20

looking at amazon and facebook and all

58:22

that

58:22

like i don't even care i don't care like

58:25

i know wall street is focusing on those

58:27

earnings and stuff i'm not saying we

58:28

won't touch on it later this week

58:30

but i don't care because that's not

58:31

where my money's gonna be made i have a

58:33

10 million dollar trade on the line

58:35

right now

58:36

and that trade is totally dependent

58:39

on me my conviction that we're going to

58:42

get good vaccine news and when it's

58:43

coming

58:44

and i think it's just a matter of time i

58:46

think it's

58:47

coming and i think it's good based on

58:49

all my research it's not

58:51

definite by any means but it looks

58:55

pretty good uh it looks pretty good

58:58

work it reacts so we've seen this back

59:00

and forth between

59:01

you know vaccine looking positive the

59:04

market goes up and

59:05

then the outbreak looks worse and so it

59:08

goes down it's like this

59:09

we haven't had vaccine news we really

59:11

haven't had any real vaccinations

59:13

nothing's been really

59:14

reasonable hopes and every time uh

59:16

remdezavir breaks a story or you know a

59:18

press release goes out or there's a

59:20

positive thing

59:21

i mean we've talked about it there's

59:22

like there's a lot of these

59:24

hopeful things coming as soon as a

59:26

vaccine is

59:27

approved that starts a whole new cycle

59:31

of

59:32

positives right yeah i mean i i don't

59:35

even need for it to be approved i just

59:36

need the data

59:38

i need the data um the vaccine data to

59:42

come out or get leaked that it has a 70

59:44

efficacy or 65 percent efficacy or 75

59:48

once it was safe we don't have to wait

59:50

for an approval before that i

59:52

it just feels like all of the um data

59:55

that we've seen so far

59:56

is like it's it's stuff that's in

59:59

progress

60:00

they're they're updating us when the

60:02

trial is put on pause because

60:04

of an issue they i mean there's just a

60:06

lot of information out there

60:08

yeah they are doing they are doing more

60:11

communicating than they normally would

60:12

because most of the time and i was

60:13

reading that they wouldn't normally give

60:15

that information out like it would be a

60:16

non

60:17

it would be a non-story it would because

60:19

it's just like a procedural thing that

60:20

they do with all

60:22

uh all these trials i think that the day

60:24

they submit their final paperwork for

60:26

approval they're going to

60:28

just for transparency sake say hey world

60:31

here's the uh here's the data that we

60:33

have that is now being reviewed by the

60:34

government

60:36

don't you think are they going to keep

60:38

that secret

60:40

i don't see them keeping it secret no no

60:44

i i think he wants positive news on the

60:46

vaccine out before the election and um

60:48

there's a very good chance

60:49

that before the end of this week i'm

60:51

going to put my trade on now when i say

60:53

i'm putting it on i mean

60:55

i don't know how it's going to be

60:56

expressed if it's going to be expressed

60:58

through

60:59

equity or through options or a

61:01

combination of the two but i will talk

61:02

about it

61:03

as soon as i do it and it's going to be

61:06

a bold trade because it's going to be

61:07

doing it

61:08

during a dark time for these companies a

61:10

time when people are most scared

61:12

that the virus is going to get worse

61:14

going into this weekend but

61:15

i might actually trade i don't know if

61:19

i think there's a reasonable chance we

61:21

get a vaccine news because so many

61:22

things happen over the weekend you know

61:24

and like happen late friday or early

61:26

monday or sunday night and i think trump

61:28

is going to be under a lot of pressure

61:31

to have news leak

61:32

or have it come out on a vaccine the

61:35

week before election next

61:36

is an election week next week right is

61:39

that wrong

61:40

uh yeah november yeah it's very next

61:42

tuesday

61:43

so i feel like i'm probably going to put

61:46

this trade on

61:47

mid to late this week uh and i'll let

61:50

you guys know i'll let the whole world

61:51

let the whole community know what i do

61:54

um it's a big trade and it could go bad

61:57

it could go really really bad

62:00

i mean because because why can it go bad

62:03

if things are getting worse every day

62:05

and spiraling and then the vaccine news

62:08

comes out and the vaccine didn't work

62:10

could you imagine how bad that will be

62:12

for all these travel stocks

62:14

oh yeah not good right you don't want to

62:17

be in

62:18

uh expiring options when there's such

62:21

great uncertainty

62:22

no no but listen no risk no reward

62:26

no risk no reward it's gonna come with

62:28

risk and i'm gonna do it

62:30

so uh that if you wanna know what i'm

62:32

doing this week

62:33

that's pretty much all day every day

62:35

what i'm focused on

62:37

um because i think that's where most of

62:39

the opportunity is for the next year

62:41

my big my 10 million dollar trade the 10

62:43

million

62:44

that i want to make this next year is

62:46

based on that mostly on that trade

62:49

so that's what i'm focused on i know

62:50

it's not going to all come at once

62:52

but i think you know it will come over

62:54

the next 12 months if it's positioned

62:56

correctly

62:59

so i'm looking to basically put about 10

63:02

million dollars worth either through

63:03

equity and options

63:05

controlling about 10 million in these

63:07

rebound stocks

63:08

that i hope will double over the next

63:10

year and that'd be 10 million

63:15

so that's it can't wait for that episode

63:17

it will happen

63:18

when's it gonna happen i don't know

63:20

maybe as soon as it happens it happens i

63:22

mean i can't get hurt

63:24

i can't do it for you i'm not gonna be

63:26

under pressure

63:27

to make my trade just for the just for

63:29

you two i mean

63:30

but it will happen so all right anything

63:33

else guys

63:34

uh clct uh collectors universe i don't

63:37

know what's going on over there i mean

63:39

like i said i think that's a nice trade

63:41

uh

63:42

for earnings and we'll see when earnings

63:44

come out on clct

63:46

uh i hope i think we're going to get

63:49

stimulus

63:50

after the election i think as soon as

63:51

the election happens next week the

63:54

we either get our trump portfolio or the

63:56

biden portfolio

63:58

or the we don't have a president

63:59

portfolio it starts

64:01

to starts to work right yeah so

64:05

we'll be in either way and we'll let you

64:08

guys know

64:12

anything else from you that's going to

64:14

do it for the day all right no i'm

64:16

i'm done i've got everything i've said

64:18

everything

64:20

we got work to do now oh i know we have

64:22

to go head over to the secret

64:23

undisclosed location

64:24

and figure out where we're going to set

64:26

up our cameras

64:28

um do you know that we have to also

64:30

figure out how i take everybody to the

64:32

bank with me tomorrow

64:33

to get this cash to get the like

64:37

because i'm going to get the cash from

64:38

the bank in the morning you want to do

64:40

that live right

64:41

i was thinking you would just tape that

64:44

because i have no idea how that's going

64:45

to actually

64:46

be done live live you just do it on your

64:48

phone and i really think you probably

64:50

need to be paying attention to the money

64:51

and not trying to film yourself

64:54

okay so should i take the the camera

64:55

person would you take a camera person

64:57

with you

64:57

to film okay we could stream it from a

65:00

phone if you want

65:01

but i don't know how much the bank is

65:03

going to like that

65:04

all right we'll figure it out tomorrow i

65:07

just know that every other time we've

65:08

tried to film in a bank

65:10

we've been asked to leave so yeah yeah

65:13

may not want to do that but you can at

65:15

least film you going into the bank and

65:17

coming out and show the briefcase full

65:18

of cash and

65:19

then jump into an armored car and go

65:22

have you verified you can get that much

65:23

cash

65:24

yes he did okay um guys

65:28

it took some maneuvering to get it that

65:30

quick

65:31

oh i bet people are asking my accounts

65:34

heads we've talked about yeah my

65:35

account's had

65:36

by peloton is about 28 hedged i got

65:39

shorts on booking.com and about a seven

65:41

million dollar short on sp why so that

65:43

that's the hedge guys

65:45

whoo all right go set up some cameras

65:49

i'm ready man let's let's go try to do

65:51

this dude i hope

65:52

i'm hoping this live broadcast goes okay

65:54

because i i've been stressing out over

65:56

how you're going to even hear us because

65:58

right now we're in different locations

66:00

and so yeah our audio is slightly

66:02

coming in at different times but it

66:03

should sound okay when we do this live

66:06

if i have multiple cameras on the screen

66:07

they're all going to be at different

66:08

times and you're going to hear echoing

66:10

we learned that the hard way when we did

66:12

the uh the cracking of the safe in

66:14

jordan's house we did that live

66:16

yeah and so i was up until

66:19

three in the morning ordering stuff on

66:21

amazon to uh so i have new mixers

66:24

and i have um all kinds of wires and

66:26

adapters

66:27

come in did it come in and do it to run

66:29

no it comes in by 9 pm

66:30

tonight is when the delivery is supposed

66:32

to happen so who knows if it's actually

66:34

going to work

66:35

but um my backup plan is just single

66:38

camera

66:38

with a boom mic built in okay well

66:42

guys watch tomorrow for nothing else to

66:45

see if we can pull off this logistical

66:48

live shoot um we don't have higher

66:52

hardwired internet and we're going to

66:53

have multiple cameras trying to connect

66:55

to the internet

66:55

and i just got a message on the security

66:59

guard

67:00

they want it they want a location and a

67:02

time so

67:03

uh yeah we will we'll have security

67:06

we'll have

67:06

pokemon card experts we will have flying

67:09

drones maybe

67:11

uh who's your drone pilot

67:16

67:19
