Hi, my name is Shanza Jawal. I'm 16

years old and I was in the Calgary

in-person cohort for 2025 to 2026.

These are the two paths that I've always

kind of seen in my life, you know, go to

university, get a job, do this, do that,

do an interview to get position you

want, but I didn't even realize you can

go and jump the fence to get to where

you want to go. My biggest takeaway from

this year's program would have been

thinking. It just kind of opened so many

different doors for me because I

realized I don't have to do it the way

that my parents have been saying I have

to. The funnest part of the year, I

think for me was moonshot. Working on

the project the night before, pulling an

all-nighter, wasting Naveed, Nadeem, and

Jenna. That was the highlight of my

year, for sure.
