Oh, I love camping so much.

We are at camp.

So excited because this is a new

campground that we have never been to

before. I think 6 months ago we tried to

come here but it was closed for the

season. This time around they are open

and I feel like we scored one of the

best campsites here at this campground.

It's right in the middle and we get this

nice view of this whole valley and we

have so much shade which is always a

good thing especially in the middle of

June. Okay, I'm gonna get set up.

I just got this from Arcturex. It's a 18

L backpack and I was able to fit all of

my stuff in here. I have my clothes, my

toiletries, my electronics, and my water

bottle. I can't believe I was able to

fit everything in here. It seems small

but when you start stuffing it, it

really expands. Great backpack so far.

Hi. Oh my gosh, it's just so so hard.

It's just so hard to be a girl that has

to go camping.

Honestly, Olive was born to be a city

dog. She's meant to just be in an airond

conditioned apartment or home. Na'vi, on

the other hand, is being one with

nature. The moment she gets to camp, she

always likes to find a spot to sunbathe,

even though I think she's kind of

getting a little hot.

I will give you a proper sight tour in

just a bit. Perks of wall being here. I

don't have to do much. Ladies, work

smarter, not harder. Okay, if your man

is here, let him do everything.

Just kidding. I do help him, but the

heavy stuff he likes to put on top of

the Land Cruiser and it's just too tall.

Even if I'm standing on the tire, that's

the highest point. We don't have a

ladder, but even when I'm standing at

the highest point of the truck, I can't

reach the top. So,

it's not like I don't want to help. It's

that I couldn't. Okay. Once he grabs

everything and sets it down, then I can

set up. But, you know, I was thinking

maybe him and I will sleep separately

because he has his own setup inside the

Land Cruiser and I really want to have

my cute setup where his ugly sleeping

bag is not ruining the vibes.

I got this idea after I read a comment

where someone said that her and her

husband, she actually sleeps separately

from her husband when they go camping

because she likes to have her set up and

he likes to have his setup. And I was

like, I 100% support it.

This is a pretty flat and good spot to

pitch the tent. Today I have once again

This is a backpacking tent. Although I

will say this is more on the heavy side

if you're really going to use it for

backpacking. I mean nobody is stopping

you. If you are a strong king or queen,

go for it. It sets up really quickly and

it also has a footprint. It's already

attached on there. So, I love that.

I always like to bring the sit pad for

myself or the dogs. Although, every time

I lay it down for them, they just don't

lay on it. Okay, Na'vi, you want to use

this? Come here, baby.

go and lay on the pip bed. Yes. Let's

see. This point up here is probably the

most flat. Yeah.

There she goes. Na'vi will never lay on

a bed that I set up for her, but she'll

always lay on top of the tent. The

moment I set it up, it's like she just

knows. She loves going inside of the

tent. Oh my god, those those flies. Look

at that. There are so many flies on her

right now.

The thing I do not like about summer

camping, really much dislike the flies.

Oh, I love camping so much. What is it

about sleeping in a tent that is just so

exciting?

Today, I just brought my small mattress.

This is my backpacking mattress. It's

the REI Helix. This is really

comfortable in my opinion. It's very

thin, but the egg crate foam really

She does this every single time. You're

working really hard there.

We'll leave her to that while I set up

my bed. This has like a egg crate kind

of design and it really distributes your

weight evenly.

Ollie is in the car right now just

recuperating. So, we will bring her in

here once everything is set up.

I love how they call this the extra-L

large camp pillow and it's this big.

When I started out camping, I would

always bring music. And I think it's

because I wasn't used to the silence.

But I noticed that a lot of people go

camping and they'll blast music the

entire time. I prefer to be in the

silence. I like listening to the birds.

I like listening to the wind, the trees,

and nothingness. It's like the whole

point of being out here, right? The

whole point of coming out here is to

like enjoy yourselves in a calm manner,

think clearly.

I don't mind them. I wish they just

wouldn't go in my eyeballs.

>> I think another thing I really like

about camping is observing the season

changes. Each time you go, the

environment changes a little bit. Mhm.

Like last time I went camping, it was

like a month ago. During that perfect

season where the weather is not too

cold, not too hot, and no bugs.

feel summer is coming.

look. I know I smell good to you, but

it's really annoying. And I would really

appreciate it if you know,

parent can relate. So Na'vi refuses to

drink water and this is the only way I

have found to encourage her to drink

water. I take a little bit of her fresh

food and I pour water into a bowl.

I realized I had to do this because at

one point she went to get blood work and

her kidney values were really elevated.

I mean not crazy elevated. It wasn't

like kidney disease. They were elevated

more than normal. And so the vet told me

she is severely dehydrated. And since

then, I've been doing this to encourage

her to drink.

Oh, look at my pile. We came into the

tent to give the dogs some peace and

quiet. The flies were driving them

crazy. And when I came in here, all of

these followed us in and I forgot to

bring the zapper, but you can't escape

an Asian woman's hands. This is

everything that I pack in my backpack

for a overnight camping trip. Now, keep

in mind, I am camping, not backpacking.

So, I don't have food and things that I

cook with in here. What I have in here

are things that I like to bring like my

toiletries, what I pack for clothing,

and my electronics. This is the Arctur

Aeros 18 L backpack, and it fits quite a

lot. It's the perfect size for a

overnight trip. On the side pockets, I

have my Stanley water bottle. And then I

also keep a pocket knife. Although, I

usually clip this on my pants, but for

now, I'm just keeping it right here just

to show you. I don't have anything on

this side. Here on the front, I have my

sit pad. I love this sit pad. I think I

got it for $7 and I have been using this

for quite a few years. It really makes a

difference if you just want to sit down

and you don't want to bring a chair. Up

here in this top pocket is where I keep

my smaller electronics. It's not in here

right now because I'm filming with it,

but I keep my action cam in there and a

little mini tripod. I also have this

little pouch. And inside this pouch, I

just keep extra batteries, charging

cables, and some extra SD cards. I also

have another lens for my action camera

and some breath mints inside of a ziplo.

Now for the inside of the backpack, a

windbreaker. I don't have to bring a

jacket because it's pretty warm during

this trip, so I only brought a

windbreaker and it's really packable.

It's great. This is an old windbreaker

from Outdoor Voices. Next, I have my

camera. This is the Fujifilm XM5. I have

a kit lens on here. This is the 15 to 45

mm. One pair of socks. These are wool,

and I wear these at night. And then on

the top right here is another pocket. In

here, I keep the girly things. So, I

have this little pouch. This is where I

keep my lip glosses and some oil

blotting sheets. I got Glossier

Generation G lipstick in the color cake.

One of my favorite colors, oil blotting

sheets. The Road Peptide Lip Tint and

Toast. I don't know why I need all these

lip products, but I do. This is Romand

the Juicy Lasting Tint in the shade 30

bare marone. A little hand lotion. And

that's it for what's up here. For my

clothes to stay organized and not just

all over my backpack, I have it inside a

packing cube. This is a two layer

packing cube. Over the top, I keep my

underwear and my light towel. And then

on the bottom, I keep a set of pajamas.

For extra warmth, I have this down vest.

It's very packable, so I can just

compress it in here. This is great in

case the weather switches up on me.

There are my pajamas. And because down

is so compressible, I can zip this up in

here, and it does not take up a lot of

space at all. Lastly, this is the most

heavy, so I keep it at the bottom of my

backpack. This is my toiletry, skincare,

makeup bag. I'm not going to go through

everything, but this is everything that

I have, but if you want me to talk about

it, let me know.

This very cute toiletry bag is from my

friend's brand, Casual and You. It is so

adorable and it fits so much. For some

entertainment, I brought myself a book.

And that is everything I keep in my

camping backpack. If there's anything

She can hear people clapping in the

distance and it sort of sounds like a

firework and I think she thinks that's a

firework so she's shaking because she's

really scared of fireworks.

One of my favorite parts of the day is

feeding the dogs dinner or breakfast. I

love feeding them. I don't know why this

routine is very relaxing for me. And I

just love how happy they get over food.

So, I packed their food in these

Tupperware containers. This is exactly

two portions of food for Olive. This is

from the farmer's dog. I just opened up

a pack at home and then I scooped out a

little bit that I need for the trip and

I put in a smaller container so that I

can fit in my cooler. Since we're

camping with two people, there's a lot

more stuff in the cooler. So, I did this

to save space.

This is real fresh food, and Olly loves

it. She's been having this for almost a

year now. Her poops are doing great,

finally. It took us a long time to

figure out a food that works for her. By

the way, when you see me steam the food,

I'm simply just warming it up. The food

is already fully cooked, so it's ready

to feed. I just like to warm it up

because I eat warm food. My babies eat

warm food. And I also think just warming

it up makes it smell better so they get

more excited for it. Are you ready?

I know I've talked about it many times.

I use it for everything. Like you can

use it for backpacking, for steaming,

sautéing, making soup. I use it every

single trip.

It is more chilly than I expected

tonight. I hope I brought enough layers,

but I do have two film kits. Wow, it's

like 9:37 right now. We pretty late. The

day kind of just flew by. between

filming, setting up, and everything.

Sometimes it can take a really long

time. It probably doesn't seem like it

because when we're filming ourselves

camping, we're only showing the fun

parts. Like, no one's actually showing

from another camera view of us recording

ourselves doing things. So, anyway, it

takes a long time to like set up the

shot and take the photos or like take

the videos. So, then sometimes when we

go camping, the whole day goes by. I'm

like, why are we eating at like 10:00

p.m.?

>> I said a muffin. I think that's the same

ingredient as Tylenol.

>> Yeah, that's the only thing that I have

though.

nights. It's cold. I'm not trying to do

dishes.

We both have pretty bad headaches from

the elevation, we think. And then it got

me thinking, do dogs get elevation

sickness? Wonder if they have a headache

right now? That would suck if they had a

headache and can't tell us. Got Na'vi

right here per usual. Ollie is at my

foot in her sleeping bag. And then we

have this leech.

All the dog moms understand that the

dogs eat first.

Wow, the cooler is still pretty cold. I

was worried we didn't have enough ice in

there, but it is actually still really

cold. For breakfast today, I am having

these croissants. I also brought

pancakes, but we'll see what I end up

feeling in the mood for in a bit.

No one gets as excited for food as

Na'vi.

I'm pretty sure

you're so ready, aren't you? You are so

Okay, I know those flies. They keep

bothering you. They keep going on your

eyes.

All these breakfast

and my morning duties are complete. This

is my sole purpose. My purpose is to

feed them. The flies are coming. It is

currently 9:12 in the morning. So, they

come out right about 9:00 a.m.

I'm so grateful for mornings like this.

Just relaxing, chilling, hanging out

with the dogs. No noise pollution, just

listening to nature.

I've been having this in my camp kit,

and I know it's kind of lazy, but it

tastes pretty good to me. It's from Blue

Bottle. This is their espresso. I also

have this one at home when I'm just

feeling lazy and I don't want to make a

proper shot of espresso. And then I'm

just using Khifia oat milk. I wish they

always had it at my Costco. It's a hit

or miss and it's such a good deal cuz

these are pretty expensive when you buy

them, you know, by the carton at the

grocery store. At Costco, sometimes

they'll have these in a whole case and

it's a really good deal.

I'm basically an engineer. I turned on

the fan to face our food and now all the

flies are gone. So smart here. Yeah, I

think I took it off earlier for shing.

We're going to pack up real quick.
