Top 10 most INSANE Classes at MIT (#1 University in the World)
200 segments
today we have to discuss the insane
classes that the number one school in
the nation offers to its undergraduate
students we're going to reveal the top
10 MIT classes that no other school in
the world has because they're either
insanely difficult they require
expensive resources like forges or Nano
fabrication that not many schools have
or the professors are absolutely cracked
because this is M all right before you
continue Take 2 seconds to subscribe
like and comment below the number of
times I say insane throughout this video
if you're correct I'll reply to you all
right coming in number 10 we have 6101
so 6101 is the class that makes MIT
programmers MIT programmers this class
is essentially uh 6100a which is the
intro to python class on steroids so in
this class there's a heavy focus on
recursion different search algorithms
generators um this class was actually
not even a major requirement for my
major which which is electrical
engineering and computer science but I
still chose to to to take this class
because it is that good I spent like at
least 8 hours or more per week working
on this class so the workload is pretty
insane but I did end up getting an A in
the class so it's possible I will say
after this class it's like I went
through a semester of doing lead code
hard questions every week feel like a
much better programmer after this class
all right coming in at number nine we've
got a class that I personally have not
taken and that is
27 now what makes 27 so insane is that
this Mech E class is what the entire
first robotics program is based off of
Woody flowers used to teach this class
and students make robots to literally
accomplish a game a new game every year
which is exactly the first program
unfortunately it's in the mechanical
engineering department so I haven't been
able to take this class but it's an
absolutely insane class for the fact
that an entire organization spawned out
of it and it's one of the more fun
classes that really develops your
Hands-On skills all right coming in at
number eight we're going to move over to
Sloan the business school and we're
going to give this to 15390 because this
class is where a number of startups are
born and become the next most successful
unicorns and startups in the tech
startup World in 15390 students
literally build a company from scratch
being taught by Bill olette one of the
most insane professors I have met at
this school so far he's raised over $500
million in his own companies and he came
back to teach as a side hobby so if you
take this class you're pretty much going
to be able to launch your own startup
and they're going to teach you how to
make it successful too so I'm definitely
planning to take this class at some
point all right number seven we've got a
class that's actually during the IAP
period which which is only a month long
at MIT and this class is poker Bots 6963
the reason this class got number seven
is because you literally go from knowing
nothing to building an advanced
algorithm that can actually play and win
poker games this class has so much
funding from various Quant companies and
it's actually all student run so yeah
this class is pretty insane and one of
the more popular things to do over I AP
at MIT all right coming in at number six
we've got
11011 the science of negotiation this
class is actually under the department
of urban studies but it's so good that
it regularly fills up and you actually
have to apply to get into this class
because the professor is so good at
teaching this class counts as a
Humanities so a lot of people want to
take it to fulfill their H requirements
but because the content is so good most
of the time people can't get in unless
they're in the department of urban
studies I haven't taken this class yet
but if I get a chance I'm definitely
taking it all right coming in at number
five we've got daab classes now these
classes are actually interesting because
they give you real hands-on experience
with making something that can actually
impact people and help communities
around the world who are struggling who
need help from Engineers this is one of
of the classes that is not required for
anyone but those who take it gain
valuable leadership skills and work on
like amazing projects and could
potentially have the biggest impact on
the world just from this class so that's
why daab classes come in at number five
all right number four is actually an art
class and that is metal smiting in this
class they literally teach you how to
use a forge Weld and make metal and this
class is under the department of
Material Science it's pretty amazing to
be able to take a class like this at MIT
and it's only possible because of the
crazy amount of funding that MIT gets to
be able to invest in classes like these
where the equipment you need is pretty
specialized I was able to take the glass
blowing lab during my freshman IAP which
is also under the material science
department that was only a month long
but it was also an insane experience
these kinds of classes are truly unique
and make MIT insane all right coming in
at number three we have Nano Electronics
this class is not only insane for the
fact that very few colleges in the
entire United States even have access to
nanofabrication but also for the fact
that a student that takes this class is
probably going to end up publishing a
research paper after it because the
class has so much writing that It
prepares you to publish your work on
what you do in the class this class is
insane for people who want to do PhD and
advanced research later on it gives you
that huge jump start that you could only
get from a class at MIT all right coming
in at number two we have
2009 this is one of the best classes at
MIT um where students literally come up
with an idea get in teams they prototype
their idea this is under the mechanical
engineering department and they're going
to pitch it they're going to sell it and
a lot of these products actually become
Real World Companies Real World products
that actually change the world and it's
all done from a maker space class where
you come together as a team and solve a
problem with a product so yeah this is a
pretty insane class where teams of
students can literally solve The World's
problems in a semester and finally
coming in at number one the best class
at MIT the most insane class it's it's
actually under the humanities Department
who would have guessed and that is
Bodies in Motion what do I have to say
about this class honestly I don't know
how to describe it let me just read off
the description of the class develops
alertness in order to work in an
energetic state of physical
disorientation self-correcting what
doesn't work and reinforcing what does
on the spot discovering physical
emotional truths and shared moments that
leave students aware centered incredibly
present and sharply
alive there's no other way to describe
this class except that after you take
this class you change as a person this
class is so popular they opened up two
extra sections so that more students can
participate and it counts as an art
class to fulfill the H requirements if
you ever find yourself at MIT you have
to take the bod's in motion class the
truth is once you take this class you
look at the world in a different way you
move in a different way you move like
you are that guy because this class is
the most insane class at
MIT all right thanks for watching guys
