taking myself on a little solo date

today cuz I can. Um, it's around

lunchtime now and there's this cafe I've

been wanting to try. It's like a

Japanese kisa tent. And if you guys

don't know, I used to work at one. So, I

think it'll be very nostalgic for me.

Here's the outfit of the day. I'm

wearing these overall capries, floral

button-up shirt.

I think if we were to tell them like we

can only here for seven months.

I love seeing how people decorate their

balconies. I wish I had one in New York.

So, I was just kind of making things up

as I went, which was honestly kind of

nice because I usually plan out

everything, all the details of the day,

and I'm kind of having brain fog right

now. But I don't really know what I was

going to do today, actually. But I'm

glad it went the way that it did. Might

do a little adjustments to it, though.

It's a little too long, and I feel like

some people are going to hate me for

cutting it. Okay, this is how short I

want the dress. I love how dainty and

delicate the silk is. Doesn't feel like

polyester or anything. It's 100% silk.

And I love the color. It's this dark

blue purplish tone, which is like my

favorite shade of blue ever.

Um, as you can see, it does nothing for

me. This accentuates my height, which is

short. This is a bit hard cuz the

ruffles of the dress are kind of

cascading. So, I can't just cut clean

across without having to sacrifice some

of the silk parts. As you can see, the

ruffles are asymmetrical.

So, I obviously I need to cut across

like this, and it's going to ruin some

of the asymmetry. But I can feel the pin

from the back. It's like,

wait, what?

Where the hell? Would you guys believe

me if I said I had a bachelor's degree

in fashion design? You're probably like,

"Why is she just winging this so hard?"

If I was home right now, I would

obviously do this a lot better, but I

don't have a ruler, don't have chalk,

don't have anything. So, I'm just going

to raw raw dog this. Um, and like I

always say, nothing is ever too short

when you are 5'2.

Honestly, if they made this right, they

just rip it right across.

Oh yeah, this is a tip. There's usually

a grain line when making clothes. So if

it's made properly,

um [snorts] if you make a

incision, you should be able to just rip

it across straight.

And this is probably way straighter than

it would have been if I cut it with my

hand. Okay. Honestly, upon further

inspection, evaluation,

I don't know if you can see, you can

kind of see right here. That's where the

inner lining ends. And obviously, the

skirt ends way down there. I'm wondering

if I should just pin this up and like

sew it. Just pin it and tack it up here

so it keeps that volume. Not sure what

I'm going to do the rest of the night. I

might not sew this dress today. That's

why I'm not going to film any of that.

But um probably need to plan what I'm

going to do tomorrow. I don't want to

waste any days in Berlin. Okay y'all,

it's the next day. This is the outfit of

the day. It's so funny. Like I brought

very minimal outfits for my Berlin trip

thinking I was going to buy so many

things, but I just end up wearing the

same thing every day. I'm hosting some

friends over on Friday, and my

apartment's pretty messy, but I don't

have time tomorrow to clean it. So, I'll

just do that today. And then I'm going

to go back to the planetarium to pick up

three more pairs of glasses if I can

because there's going to be six of us

tonight watching the solar eclipse, but

I could only get three yesterday. So,

just got home from my errand. I'm going

to clean my room now before I do some

things cuz I just have things

everywhere. And like I said, I don't

have time to clean it before the house

dinner party. So, I'm going just do it

now. Maybe I'll make that for lunch.

Spicy tuna salad. Oh.

Oh my god. That means I'm going to use

my vacuum for the first time. I think my

family used to have one of these vacuums

when I was younger, but now we have

those like more modern ones. So, okay. I

think this is I just plug this into

that.

Wait, what?

Why is that like freaking turbo maximum

suction? Okay, hold on. I need to do

this off camera. I'm over stimulated.

Counters are clean. Room for cooking.

Floors are vacuumed. Kind of tidied this

up. Sink is clean. We're good. I was

trying to save this for the perfect

moment, but honestly, seems about good

time. I usually eat the original one,

not the carbo narrow one, but I ate this

the other day for the first time in

years and I was like, "Wo, so good." I

think this is one of the foods that when

I'm cooking it, I get a whiff of it and

I'm like my mouth actually waters and

I'm like salivating. Made some bok choy

as well. So excited. No mukbang cuz I

have to finish this pretty quickly. I

have to leave in 20 minutes. But here it

is. Wow, delicious. Okay, see you guys

later. Okay, I came back early to get

the glasses, but there's like huge long

lines everywhere, so I don't think I'm

going to be getting those. But it's kind

of cool to see this turn out.
